I stopped by on a Saturday night at 8:30 to grab a bite and a pint on the way home. It was fairly empty, only a few people here and there. I ordered the Sandwich special which was a meatball sub.It took approximately 30 minutes for the meal to arrive despite it being a seemingly slow evening. While the sandwich was by no means terrible, it had obvious room for improvement. The bartender was polite but seemed to be the only server for the entire first floor.Overall not a poor experience just disappointing given the reputation Jack Doyle has.
Really enjoyed my time at this bar. The food was top quality and the atmosphere was amazing. The staff were friendly and helpful. The beautiful bartenders Katie and Aine worked together to make me a lovely Irish coffee which made me feel like I was back at home on the Emerald Isle. Would definitely add this bar to your list of things to do in NYC, to check out their delicious menu and their awesome Christmas decorations!
We visited here on the last evening of our New York 2023 trip between 2nd to 9th July. Typical, last night and we found the perfect bar for our taste. Very neat and tidy, a good choice of beers, food and last but by no means least attentive and very nice staff. Well done Diarmuid. Having experienced a very disappointing visit to another bar earlier in the day. It was very reassuring to find our next bar to be much more friendlier. Thanks. Oh yes would recommend the sweet potato fries and onion rings.
At Jack Doyles, my husband and I have forged a wonderful relationship with this bar, particularly during Arsenal games. We thoroughly enjoy their wings, Magners cider, and engaging conversations with fellow fans at the bar. The staff has always been extremely friendly and accommodating when it comes to reserving tables for upcoming games. If you find yourself in New York City and happen to be an Arsenal fan, definitely swing by and check out this bar
Great atmosphere, service, and people. Came here on a Tuesday for drinks after an event in the city. Nice options and beautifully decorated for the holidays! Very close to Penn as well which makes it a great stop after or before taking the train.
This was a reasonably priced restaurant. The beat is very upbeat. The beer was very cold. The French Onion Soup was excellent, as were the chicken tenders. We would definitely return.________________🌏Weight Loss Motivation.🔥New Weight Loss Discovery Burns Belly Fat Like CrazyInstagram👉 @slims_pro
I had the Fish & Chips and my son had the Shepherds Pie and a slice of cheesecake. Fish was horrible. It was mostly breading and very bland as was the tartar sauce which I had hoped would compensate for the fish. My son said the Shepherds Pie was decent, but mostly mashed potatoes and not much meat or veggies. Service was ok...friendly but slow.
Stopped in for beer and a Reuben while walking from the train station to the bus station. What a great find!I had one of the best Rubens Ive ever had here. Sat at the bar and had a jack Doyles which was an amazing light beer.Amy was at the helm and was very attentive and fast.
Wonderful food options at affordable cost. There will be a slight delay in service but still its great considering the tasty food options 😊Recommended: Shepherds pie
Good place for dinner and lunch. Friendly staff. I recommend
This is the first Irish pub that I have ever visited. And those burgers arent that bad (that pickle shouldve been cut into slices though). And the sweet potato fries are my favorite part of their menu. The ketchup bottle should have been made easier if it werent to be pushed so hard.
Jack Doyles is a nice pub, located off of W 35th in Midtown Manhattan!! The vibes inside of this spot are really great at Christmas - the whole place is covered in garland + lights, making the atmosphere even more warm and cozy. The staff are attentive, and they make a nice margarita. For food, I only tried one of their sides when I visited, but it was delicious!!
Good food, good service. We had a Sautéed Chicken breast and BBQ Salmon w grilled broccoli.
Having a beer at Tim Finnegans in Glendale AZ, thinking about what a great time we had at Jake Doyles in Budapest
My husband and I came here for a Vikings WIN!! We had a wonderful time and we’re joined by a bar full of Vikings fans (who could ask for more?!). The drinks and service were great. The food was nasty, but there is a great dumpling place down the street that I highly recommend. Skol!
This establishment overcharged me on my Chase debit card ($31.08) more than the total amount including what I actually tipped ($30.08). attached are the evidence.
5/11/24 first time here, the sign board out front said Ranger Game - SOUND ONso I knew it was going to be the perfect spot for dinner and a show ;)I had a burger with mushrooms and fries. All good- and a beer.Friendly service and like other reviews - no rushing to get out. This place has a comfortable and chill vibe.
Great choice, buffalo wings great, beer great, reasonable prices, great music and mood overal. I definitely recommend.
Love this bar close to my workplace. Unlike most other bars in NYC, this place is huge and has more than adequate seating options. A great variety of options on the lunch menu as well. Highly recommend.
It took a while for us to get service after having been seated. A couple of parties had been seated after us (including a large party) had their drink orders taken before us. We had to say something to the hostess. Once we had a server, we went ahead and gave our food order along with our drink order. Our kid loved their Shepherds pie and ate everything. My husband was a bit disappointed in his Rueban, but loved the fries. I really enjoyed my fish and chips. We loved the atmosphere!
One of the few places that were open on Christmas Day in this area. It was packed and filled with a vibrant atmosphere. I loved the holiday decor. Although I didnt get anything (thanks for letting me use the restroom), everyone looked happy with their orders.
Met with friends for dinner on Sunday December 17,2023. The bar and restaurant beautiful decorated for Christmas the food was good but the service was absolutely terrible. We only had two drinks over dinner the waitress was very rude never came back after food was served to see was everything ok we tried to get her attention to order drink but ignored us. We never got a dessert menu or even asked if we would like an after dinner drink we were all looking forward ordering an irish and Baileys coffees. We had to go look for the bill we could have easily walked out without paying. It was the worst service ever unfortunately we would never go back due to the service such a shame it’s a really nice place.
Good bar service. Great Guinness pour. I didnt have any food but most seems to enjoy it. Friendly service.
Great atmosphere in a prime location near Madison Square Garden and Penn Station. The food was good, great beer and drink selection, and prices were decent too. Our service was amazing. We had 3 different people helping us and didnt wait for anything. Seems to be a very strong team and they all helped each other.
I Got absolutely scammed. They charged me up front $52 and then took another $20 out of my account after I left. Like I am a broke ass college student and you’re gonna rob me? Okay that’s cool. Absolutely robbed
Waitresses are terrible. Sat at the table for 30 min before someone took our drinks order and then had to stop a walking by waitresses to ask to take our food order 40 min after getting our drinks.PLace is decorated very pretty but dont expect good service at the table
The reason I gave 4 star because there’s no peas in the fish and chips 😅
Great place to take a mid afternoon break and enjoy a drink or two.
Amazing Arsenal energy! Fun even if you’re not a soccer fan.
Fun ambiance, puts on UFC Pay per view events.Plays the UFC fights with the commentary on and not annoying music
Pretty good Irish breakfast. Also a place to watch Arsenal!
Stopped by for a quick drink and to catch up with some friends. Nice laid back place to get a beer and watch a game. Didn’t try the food here, but will have to next time.
I stopped by for lunch the other day since I work in the area. This is a super nifty irish pub. Service was really good and the waitstaff was friendly. Prices are also very reasonable for this area and the establishment is very clean. I will definitely come back again.
Super Yummy French Onion Soup!!!
My friend and I were completely over charged for what we ordered based on the menu. And then my card was charged double the tip that I left.Be careful with your checks.
Best restaurant bar in Manhattan. Extensive menu, from steaks to pot pies. Always extremely happy with anything I ordered there.
The food was mediocre- the French fries were tiny - asked the waitress if that was the usual size she said they’re a mix of regular and bottom of the bag fries. Fried fish had no flavor and the Jack Doyle burger had no chipotle mayo, which it claims to come with. Been there before and was happy to go back but it was not as good as it’s been in the past will not be going back.
Stopped for a few pints and wasnt disappointed. Nice old style Irish pub with good choices on tap and whiskey. Prices were good. Bartenders were friendly and very attentive. I will definitely be going back.
It has a very limited bar. I put down 4 reviews because it is known as an Irish pub. Hardly anyone was eating anything but most importantly the waiters were mean. We had a group come in just for drinks and they rudelt stated Are they going to order food? We dont bave to serve any of them food when we explicitly stated we were just there to drink. I understand hating big groups and them notoriously known for not tipping well but the commentary said very loud in front of us was very rude.
Great tasting food and good beer and drink selection. Lots on tap. The steak was perfectly prepared and the Irish meals very tasty. We went again as we really liked it and wanted to try other items. Staff is nice too.
The absolute best French onion soup we have ever had and the drinks were perfection!
We came here a few weeks ago before the KISS concert. We were a party of 14 and were seated right away. Food and drinks were great. The waitstaff got us in and out quick enough to make the show. I highly recommend Jack Doyle’s before your next show at the garden
Oh dear, an established pub with a good reputation serving expensive flat beer. Not good. Better beer cellar management required - keg temperature, CO2 pressure etc. (Trumer Pils, 1/2 flat, no bubbles - drank it, don’t like to complain. Switched to Stella Artois, 1/2 flat no, bubbles. Complained, kindly replaced with a Heineken. Heineken had bubbles which soon disappated. Overall poor beer drinking experience at $9 and $10 a glass! + tax + tip!)
The food was excellent. We shared the pan seared shrimp dumplings appetizer special and they were great. I had the shepherds pie, the beef was seasoned to perfection and it had the right amount of vegetables. My wife had the fish and chips and the fish was fresh and fried perfectly. The service on the other hand was lacking. I ordered a soup which never came (they did take it off the bill), and our waiter casually walked around without being attentive to the tables. Never checked on our drinks, didnt pay attention to see me try to get his attention twice, then I had to go to the bartender to get a second drink.
Jack Doyle’s is very close to NY Penn Station. There are game day pitcher specials. The chicken quesadilla looked good. There were very few mozzarella sticks in the $10 order, only 4-5 total.
I was here for 2 hours at a table upstairs and not a single waiter or waitress asked for our order. I got my drinks from the bar downstairs and finally ordered a pizza from dominos at 8pm for dinner and left. Will not return.
Been here twice, ok place to catch a Rangers game, terrible place to get decent service. Their waitstaff accidentally put in 2 orders of sweet potato fries, and instead of accommodating and canceling one order, our very rude server with a mohawk and glasses refused to cancel one and made us pay for both orders. What?? He blamed it on us (literally said “it is your fault”) and did not accommodate at all. The first time we came here, the servers never left us alone and we couldn’t eat or watch the game in peace. Will not be returning to this place.
During our one week stay this was the best food we got in NYC. The Shepherds Pie is delicious and so is the other food like steak and fish. A very decent selection of beers on tap including, of course, Guinness. Very friendly staff.
Was there for over a half hour was never given menus hostess said she couldn’t find any. Blonde waitress came over and we asked for a non alcohol beer and a sprite she brought a seltzer and alcoholic beer. She returned with another seltzer and not sprite, asked for a water instead it never came. She never came back to the table we asked hostess for a bill and they wanted to charge for the sprite we never got. We left and probably will not return which is a shame because this was our go to place before ranger games. Go to down the block to John Sullivans instead.
Mussels were amazing and full of flavor. Our bartender, Ana, provided the best service I’ve experienced in manhattan our entire trip. She was very attentive and friendly. Prices are reasonable as well - especially if you’re from out of town and not use to the high prices of NYC. Overall, we had a great experience!
Nice setting but a little too dark at tables. Staff were nothing special, little guy with glasses was our server, got the job done but needs to learn some manners, stucknhis nose up when he got 10 dollar tip from 105 dollar bill, none of them were friendly to be honest. Food was average, had a steak sandwich but felt like they forgot the steak.
Its a typical Irish Pub, a little more touristy than local, but I still like coming here. I have some friends who work nearby and its a great place to meet them for lunch. They have a nice selection of cold beers, and the food- if you like typical Irish grub- you will like the food here. You cant go wrong with the Fish & Chips, I will alternate between that, the Bangers & Mash and the Cottage Pie- all frich and filling.Sometimes I sit at the bar, but if you want to have some some quiet time, I suggest booking a table upstairs. They get busy at lunch, so have a little patience, but once you order, it comes pretty quick!
Good burger even though I asked for cheese and didnt get it. Sweet potato fries were a good sub for regular. Service is fast and they dont rush you. Prices for food arent bad and they pour a good Guinness. $8 for a Guinness is on the high side, its usually around $6, but then again it is the city. Caught the end of the Villanova basketball game, and they had other games on too. Id come back.
We went there to have beer before a train, unfortunately the bartender was root and didn’t even say hello to us. When I ordered a beer he looked at me and asked is it everything like it was a problem because I ordered one not two or 20. Table sticky and dirty, feel like I shouldn’t be there…On top of that very poor knowledge about dietary, cheese is not vegan, burgers are not low fat…
Always go here before Rangers games! You cant beat it!
Beautiful space, friendly service, delicious food.
Most disgusting sandwich I never ate. Asked for grilled pastrami on rye with mozzarella and coleslaw. No mozzarella added onions and tomatoes and pastrami not grilled just slapped on Sweet potato fries were blah at best. Waitress forgot about us. Save your money I chucked it after 2 bites.
Nice menu, The spicy avocado wrap was lovely, not too spicy. Lovely clean bar.
Good choice to meet up with friends to watch a game, they have a good amount of tables for parties of 2-4 or more, and the food is pretty good, and it comes out nice and hot.
Great food, loved the christmas decor & prices were very reasonable. good service as well
I stumbled upon this chill Irish bar in Manhattan! The barkeepers a nice lad from Ireland, serving up some cool brews without emptying your wallet. The vibe is laid-back with good tunes playing, and the place is neat as a pin. Oh, and don’t skip the food – seriously tasty stuff! Pop by for a no-fuss, good time.
Love this noisy place! Diarmid is a great bartender. Fantastic Guinness pour. Please add vegan options.
Fantastic Irish pub. I went during the holidays, and the whole place was decked out in string lights and garlands. Typical beer choices, fun cocktail specials, and the entire staff seemed incredibly friendly and quick. If youre in the area, you cant go wrong here.
Not impressed. Kitchen closes at midnight. Barman not friendly. OK on pricing. Spacious. If you have cash to burn, are in the area looking for a drink, could be OK. Me, I won’t return.
Looked like a nice environment and place. The burger was not great or not bad. Only bad experience was our waitress she had an I dont care attitude, rarely came to check on us, lacked customer service skills. Next time I recommend Oharas irish pub. Heard great things about this place too bad we were not close enough.
I had a great time last night. Good party with decent drinks and food. Liked the music and the atmosphere. Little on the expensive side but it is Manhattan so get used to it. Will definitely come back for the next event.
Great Irish pub right near MSG. Its on the street rather than the avenue so its a little less crowded before an event than something like Stout. Lots of TVs, lots of seating, extensive menu and an OK beer selection. Very fast service too if youre trying to make a game.
I decided to go there on the spur of the moment with my sister. It was a great idea. The food was good, the atmosphere was very alive and we met a few interesting people. A very interesting night overall. I will definitely return again.
Very good fish and chips. With family of five with kids 8/12/15. Everyone enjoyed their meals include penne vodka, pulled pork. Surprisingly plenty of room as they also have upstairs.
A nice spot for a quick bite and drink. We were there during happy hour before the a show. Since this is marketed as an Irish Pub we had the chicken pot pie and Irish burger. The food was okay, something we would not order again. The chicken pot pie was bland and the burger was over cooked. The decor was new and comfortable. It was obvious that this establishment was completely renovated. Good beer selection and drinks. They have the main floor with seven TV screens, plus an upper floor of you want a much quieter spot.
Just a great dining experiece with delicious food and drinks. We always try the Irish food - Bangers and mash, Fish and chips as well as the Shepherds Pie. Service was great and the prices were not your typical New York prices, they were certainly reasonable considering where its located. Its about a block from Penn Station and MSG.
Okay pub/bar option. When we were here the DJ was playing an odd mix of yesterdays oldies too loud. The standard fried food fare was okay all tasted the same, the grease probably was old and in need of changing. Good beer selection tho
Lovely staff. Full of character and atmosphere. There were tvs displaying college basket ball at time of visit and good quality food available, although worth booking a table for evenings.
Great food. Bartender needed some coaching, but their attitude was great. Then again having been born in the 50s I can see that the drinks were made for the new young crowd.
This is a pretty standard Irish pub in the neighborhood with pretty standard selection of beers on tap. A great place to get together after work, especially for the local crowd. The place is pretty spacious and a pleasant place to hang out.
Nice enough place; brief stop, dont really remember enough about it to give four stars. Im sure someone else will provide more details.Meanwhile, as I try to write and eat dinner at another place, the waitress will not stop interrupting me! Just let me eat and Ill tell you later if was good or sucked. Jeez.
Best Irish sausage I’ve ever had. Its a must try! Great service from johnny, he was polite and on top of things! Definitely will be back for more of that Irish sausage.-Brad
10 dollar fries and 16 dollar wings. The fries were palatable with some flakey salt but the wings had no flavor.
Great atmosphere and service... food was great but i was very disappointed in their bangers and mash. It was like 4 small breakfast sausage links. I was horribly disappoint but everyone elses meals were fantastic. Just sad that bangers and mash which should be a staple there was so bad.
A great place to drink or have a nice meal. Bartenders and staff are second to none!Beautiful wood work done by carpenters.Very close to Penn station and of course MSG for NY Rangers games.
Great for watching MN Vikings games, except that the lights hanging over the bar are too low. They hang right in front of the TV screens! It was frustrating to have to duck and move around constantly just to see the TVs.Packed house though and good atmosphere
This has been our go to place before we see shows at the Garden for several years now Tonight it was a little busy when we got there.. We were seated asap. Our male server was slow Drinks finally came When we tried to order we had to catch him We ordered the fish special 30 mins of waiting, I asked how much longer.. He rudely told me it will come out when it comes out. I asked 5 mins? 10 mins? The full tables were now cleared, less busy. He informed that it was very busy as if he were the only one working both floors I said Id like an idea bc we have a show to see He told me so does everyone else. I said if it doesnt come out soon were going to have to leave He said go ahead, thats up to you. He walkes away The girl working by the front door handled us as we were pretty angry now She told the manager, we didnt see the moron again Our food came, it was very good. We missed the 1st part of the show which is the part we came to see We saw another pub down the street which is where well go next time.****I replied.. no rely to my email... they dont care about their customers3/12/19 I emailed them well over a week ago. No reply. Not surprised since they didnt come to our table to talk to us
Wow. What a super bartender. It was pretty dead in there but man-o-man was the bartender nice. An amazing guy. A legit Irishman. So for the nicest bartender we’ve met.
Got to say came in here on the passing to kill time before taxi pickup.Food and drink reasonable prices and good quality bar food in a nice clean homely pub.We would definitely come back.
Food: 3/5Service: 3/5Atmosphere: 5/5Value: 4/5Overall experience: 4/5Jack Doyles is a great Irish pub with good drinks, decent prices, authentic Irish music, and a nice atmosphere. Dont go there expecting to have great food because you wont, but if you want to have a quick bite, or watch a soccer game, or spend a good time with friends, you should definitely go to this place.
Nice Irish pub. Popped in for a quick pint. The service was excellent. Good selection of drinks and beers on tap.
The most vile chicken soup Ive ever had anywhere, even a can is better. I was burdened with having to pay for it. Cant speak to the rest of the menu but it was $7 of horrible.
Great restaurant. The food tasted good. They made and brought it fast for lunch time. Great service and made sure we were doing ok.
Great food, great drinks, great service, great atmosphere. Been here several times and it never disappoints. Moderately priced for midtown Manhattan and convenient to everything. Will keep coming back.
Great place to share a early morning beer with friends!
Good Irish bar in central NYC. Stopped in for a beer on my way back out to Penn Station. Nice staff, great service. Quiet. Recommend stopping by.
Love this place. First off the food is great! Strong menu, delicious and I definitely recommend. Drinks are good too!
Popped in for early evening meal. Seated quickly. Good food and Guinness at reasonable prices. Well recommended - good, helpful staff and well worth a visit.
For tourists visiting. Check the bill just in case. We where there 3 nights and in 2 times the charged us 1 dollar extra for a beer. It was no problem getting it back but still.
Really nice atmosphere, friendly staff, food was decent.
Came here for breakfast as it seemed like a nice place. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful in regards to helping us choose items. Breakfast was absolutely delicious. The pancakes were delightful and the strawberries were fresh. Overall a brilliant place to come
Fun and lively bar. Dont miss out on happy hours.
Patricio super nice n friendly bartender. Everyone on the wait staff seems to always have been there more than three years must be a great place to work.
Loved this bar, great staff, service and friendly atmosphere, we went here every night we were in NYC
Great service from Aine and all the guys at Jack Doyle’s. Food was great and the prices were reasonable. Apple pie dessert was excellent also.
Good grub, reasonable prices. Great atmosphere. Drinks on point, good specials. Full of Rangers fans before and during the game.
They serve a nice cold magners here and were open at 8 am!!!
GREAT FOOD!! LOTS OF SPACE, TVS..
We called in before the Knicks game, for some food and beer. Great place, which was relatively quiet when we got there. It soon filled up when getting nearer to the Knicks game. The food was good, and the beer selection was more than enough. Very attentive serve staff.
I love my New York Minnesota Vikings Fans sports Pub. It is a diamond in NYC. Fabulous service and delectable food. I live this place!SLOK!!!!!
Love this place! Great food. The staff is fun, inviting, friendly and professional. Im coming back. Definitely!
Take out order was quick even on a busy night. Fish and chips was marginal but the vodka penne pasta with chicken was excellent.
Noisy and loud sports bar with extreme cigarette smell because people were smoking out front the restaurant, the door was left open and the smoke made me ill We ended up leaving. Waitress was rude.
Great food at a reasonable price in a good atmosphere. For the sporting fan, pick a night that the garden is hosting and you will get a list greetings.
Vibrant atmosphere, quick service. Drinks are around a tolerable range for Midtown near Madison Square Garden. Proper Irish American Bar.
This is must have in NYC! The food is absolutely top notch! The service is very well executed, the atmosphere is on point and you will not be disappointed by any of it! Do it!
I stopped monday for some hot wings and a few beers, everything was good there. Good food, great service nice atmosphere.
Terrific upscale pub with a good selection of food and beer.
A good Irish pub hidden in the NYC construction, but food is good and the bar has a wide selection. Not a far walk from some great attractions.
Hard working staff good bar service
Decent food for a pub. Great beer selection and friendly staff. Close and convenient to my hotel.
Me and my wife had the steak and eggs for breakfast and it was great. The service was awesome and the staff is very friendly
The bar style food here is defintely above average. But for the small portions and high price, 3/5 stars
Cool place to hit up before or after an event at MSG. Great atmosphere for watching sporting events on TV. Food and service were exceptional...Ill be back!
Beautiful bar. People/staff were great. Food was just okay
Margarita pizza and avocado toast outstanding 👌😋
Good food, I guess I was the first of the day to have a bud light, slightly funky taste, but the next 7 were fine.
All you need to know about this place is that the drinks are good, they dont rip you off too badly, and John the bartender is the MAN. If hes behind the bar your night will be good - guaranteed.
Great place, lovely food, fantastic staff. Was booked up for the Billy Joel concert, but managed to fit us in.
Great place. Friendly staff good food. What more can you all for. Upstairs and downstairs bar
Horrible Service
This pub has a really nice vibe--and they were open after everything else was closed. This bar saved us from having to call it a night before we were ready to!
Food was just ok , beer selection was ok cause they had less on hand then what they had listed on their menu . But their prices where spot on .
Awesome bar for Rangers pre-gaming! Great drink specials, tasty food, and fast friendly servers make it a go to spot
I really feel like its a solid place to take someone for food and drinks. I have no complaints thus far!
Late night and most places were closed. This was recommended to me and it wasnt bad at all. Prompt service, fast delivery of my salad and fries. Decent sized servings of both. Not the best fries Ive ever had, but edible and warm when NY wasnt.Horrendous wine selection... House wine is Gallo, or gaggO as I call it. The very nice server brought a taste... And it confirmed it was terrible.Great beer selection of you are in to that! The music was very loud, so if you want have a conversation, this isnt the place. But its great for drinks out and decent bar food!Would come back, happy that it was open.
Good food and drink selection Reasonably priced. Good quality, lovely service staff.. very friendly and helpful
Awesome bar for sports. Good prices for the area. Good beer selection and friendly staff. Skol!
Went there many times! We are NY Rangers fans. Friday night we ate upstairs and I have to say that the waitress (blond, Irish girl) was the nicest sweetest, friendly person even considering it was packed. She was hustling with a smile we got served right away and enjoyed the night. We will be back!
Great vibe and good food. The frozen cocktails are just ok but everything else is great.
Great place to watch a Vikings game!
The tomato and mozzarella salad was amazing!
Great steak, better than average bar food, fast and friendly service, nice decor
SUCKS! THEY DONT EVEN FNIDHED THE SOCCER MATCH SO THEY WATCH AMERICAN FOOTBALL..
Great atmosphere and delicious Shepard’s Pie! Irish coffee average. Recommend.
Great place. Small food. Its $11 a shot for whiskey. Good shot though.
They pull a good Guinness here. It was really busy when I was there, but a fun spot overall.
Great service, nice bar. Definitely recommend. Food service until midnight.
So far amazing! Great food and drink!!! Awesome Irish Pub feel...Happy New Year 🎉🎉
Accommodated a large gathering for us last minute. Friendly bartender, didnt mind its rearranging chairs to accommodate.
Drink specials and nice weekly specials. Nice home like bar not tourist attraction feel.
Cant go wrong with a pint at JDs. A typical Irish pub with a full pallette of local craft beers, the usual domestics and some more unique drafts on rotation, Jack Doyles is a solid place to down a brew. Pro tip - sit up top on the counter tables overlooking the main bar to get some prime people watching in and quicker service at the separate bar.
A very decent pub. The food was great and reasonably priced. The wait time was decent.
Found Jack Doyles by accident last night, had such great time we came back for breakfast, great food, great atmosphere, friendly service and awesome architecture, an instant favorite place, we will definitely be back!!
Easy, Friendly staff, fresh delicious fries and good drinks. Close to the subway stop.
We went with 14 people and they were very attentive and food came super fast. We loved it.
Excellent service and drinks, it is a bar for have some fun with no NY fuss. Proper Irish!
Cozy atmosphere, tasty food and nice waitress 🍸🍺🍹
I ordered a shepherds pie for my friend and a cheeseburger deluxe for myself. Both of us enjoy our meals very much. Its a good place to come after a show at MSG or to go to watch a sport game.
Great food and service. Pre game for all msg events and great place to watch games highly recommended
Great bartender didnt try food but was a very relatable place
Great drinks and food especially the crab cakes as well as the shepherd pie.
Popular pub with the locals. Had a band named Rock Horse playing. They were excellent.
Been here a couple of times for lunch. Nice place with great sandwiches at a good price.
Great stop if you are going to Madison Square Garden. Excellent bar and good service.
Delicious JD Pizza - BBQ sauce, Irish sausage, bacon, onions! Washed down with a cold Guiness draft!
Nice split yellow pea soup and nice service. The game time atmosphere is terrific!
Made a reservation online and received a confirmation email. When we arrived the hostess told us she had no reservations and no high chairs at all in the restaurant. Not sure why they even have reservations if they dont honor them. Also first for us for no high chair
Packed with people... Fast, good food. A beautiful bar. Nice people.
Great food and drinks. Service just a little slow.
Great spot for watching Vikings games
Grat place for Vikings fans in NYC. Will definitely go there again.
My favorite bar in NYC! Great music, atmosphere, and the staff is great!
Got at jack Doyles bar at 5 an been drinking having a good time watching the rangers hockey game an a few mins into the 3rd a couple comes in request to put on the Detroit lions an bronco NFL game an they switch our TV out leaving us high an dry ro not beable to watch the end of the game.
Visited NYC. Went to Jack Doyles almost every night. Great food excellent service and people.
The guy in the front. He may be the security made a racist remark to me. He stated that people of my KIND needs to have manners.
Not bad at all
Good atmosphere, quality food and the best staff!
Typical pub in all the good ways. Good food and atmosphere.
This picture says it all - 5 stars!
The best wings!!! Great place with a chill atmosphere! Good service too
I have nothing much to say about this place, except that it is just awesome! The is great and the atmosphere is pretty chill.
Great bar. Great prices. Shout out to John the bartender. 🍺
Great for lunch or a drink before msg. Good service
The bartenders are scammers that add extra tips and charges to your card in you start a tab. The service was subpar, and you practically have to throw something to get the bartenders attention. The manager is super shady and slimy. And the hostess 😒😒😒
Pretty good food
Nice. Classic looking bar with dark. Woods along with friendly and efficient staff.
Nice pricing for the city ... quick service and good food.
Good place tucked away off the main drag. Excellent (and strong) New Fashioned
Really a nice pub but quite disappointed by their fish & chips.
Nice place, food and service OK (but not great).
Great food, drinks and service.
The BEST bar to hit before any game or event at MSG!
Friendly staff, good food, Irish pub away from home👍👍
Great place to grab a pint of Guinness. Super cozy
COME ON YOU GUNNERS! Great atmosphere, great cocktails, great food
Worst place in NYC to watch Arsenal game. Bad service. Top of it they send you confirmed reservation email just to make you go there. When you arrive they tell you they have no table and that the system sends wrong automatic emails.
A great place for having fun in NY!!! they have the best pizza and burgers!!
Cosy bar/restaurant, super food and lovely staff.
Pretty good. Its a nice, busy but cosy place nearby Penn Station. Service was very fast and good. We ordered the fish and chips. The fish was a bit tasteless but wasnt too bad either.
