Unfortunately we had someone in our party who was under 21 (which we were unaware of) and I am 28 - Angela (bartender) and the bouncer at the time (when there was no one in the bar) were extremely aggressive to us after we said we were down to stay and insisted we leave (even though we wanted to have a drink). I have worked in the industry for 5 years and never have I told someone who was 21 that they couldn’t stay and enjoy a drink when they were fine with their friends leaving. I lived in San Francisco - so for me this was a very weird experience. I highly suggest you think about how people treat you before you enter this bar and decide to give them your service.
Bartender with the long dark was very sweet and helpful! She has an awesome playlist!Would definitely visit again.
It was a mellow out bar & has games to play....I did my friend a favor & took pictures of him
Cool spot with lots of games and seats. Chill vibe and affordable drinks
Never go here and don’t let anyone go! Late night bar tending woman is a paranoid freak who kicks people out for existing as a male in the bar space. She was bothered by another person offering me her drink and had the audacity to call me a creep for simply standing in the bar. She’s one of those people that make the world worse.
Great spot! Gets super crowded as it gets later but the games are so fun and the drinks are priced reasonably.
A barcade that doubles as a place to watch sports. The pints are remarkably cheap and the arcade games are fun.
Fun! Crowded and a very specific vibe, if you want to wait a minute to play pool, ski ball, or darts then it’s for you! This is a post pandemic review so FYI no one is wearing masks if you’re cool with that awesome though I hope you are vaccinated if you’re cool with it!Good drinks I can’t speak to pricing because I don’t pay this evening. But great pours on the liquor drinks and pitchers are a great way to end the night!
Had a great night here with the squad after a rave. Decent spot, pool tables were a lil finicky, but the staff helped out well.
Service was good, drinks were good but the whole concept is pretty confusing. 2 skeeball machines, 2 pool tables and 2 manual (chalk board) darts. When I think of barcade, having traveled around the country, this is far from.
I came here on one of those random spark missions on a Monday where you just go with the flow of the night. One moment youre at dinner and the next youre 6 drinks deep at a dive bar you didnt know existed, walking towards the door to rip a drunk cig with someone you didnt know before the sun went down. Yeah, I have work tomorrow and will be down bad in the morning but I also like to feel like Im living life here and there ahahaha.I was in here, a corona in the left hand and a skeeball in the right hand, darting those corner pockets 100s like Im Patty Mahomes throwing no look dimes. Although its $6 for skeeball which was kinda wild. You get 3 games, but Id much rather do $2 a pop.Theres also a pool table, darts, pinball, etc. Something for everybody in here.I love Alphabet City. Ive lived here over a year now and am still learning new things, finding new places seemingly every week. A-TOWN STAND UP!IG @jnov_Tiktok @jnov__
Totally great place for a date or a fun and competitive time with some co-workers. They have mad games at this spot: darts, pool, skee ball and some arcade games too. The drink specials are awesome but don’t ask for any complicated cocktails. This is a beer and shot spot. Totally a good weeknight hang as well, weekends get nutty at night.
An awesome place with a cool vibe and friendly staff. Enjoy delicious drinks and play a few games of pool or darts while listening to your favourite tunes on their up-to-date jukebox. They even welcome outside food! I had a pizza delivered which was just the cherry on top of an already wonderful night. Check this place out for sure.
A good time was had by all here. Fun dive bar. Music pool dart. Strong drinks.
They dont have any pinball at all. 1 big buck hunter, 2 dart boards, pool, 2 skeeballs. I came for pinball so I left, but looked like a nice neighborhood hangout.
Terrible security team. Dont expect a bouncer to protect you if you pay for a turn at the table and some A-hole decides to gang up on you, punch you and take that turn even with your name clearly on this list as next.If the dude sucker-punching you happens to be of color and youre not the bouncer with the glasses and the bald head isnt going to do anything about it then endanger you even worse by putting you outside with the same group that is attacking you. When you did nothing wrong. Really ghetto establishment dont risk your money here.
This bar gets overly crowded from the tik tok crowd. Getting a drink can take forever. When no ones here though, this place rules. They have darts, pool, and skee ball. Fun time can be had -- not always though.
I really like this dive bar. 2 pool tables and 2 ski ball machines make up the back of the bar allowing you and friends to play games while doing those reasonably priced drinks.Bar staff are a great but be warned they do have a ski ball weekly league that take over the machines so you might get kicked off if you go on the wrong day. But if you get lucky like we did they may just recruit you for free to fill in for missing team members.
Happy hour on Sunday afternoon? Thats your place.I had a fun weekend night. Bar wasnt crowded and noisy. Its located on a quiet street. Drinks were cheap. You can play darts, skee ball and pool (free!). Music selection was 90s and classic rock.
Ace bar is an oldie but goodie bar that attracts everyone.Fun place to meet people or hang out with friends.Good stiff drinks and great music.
I’ve never encountered such unprofessional behavior from both the security guard and manager at this establishment. The security guard was rude and made comments that felt discriminatory, which was both shocking and disappointing. When I asked to speak with the manager to address the issue, he did not make any effort to resolve the situation. Instead, he ignored my concerns and sided with the security guard without even attempting to hear my perspective. This experience left me feeling disrespected and unheard. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and addresses these issues with their staff to ensure better treatment for all customers.
Good bar with a solid selection on tap and reasonable prices. They also have games and a pool table in the back. There is a caveat to that though. For the 3 times Ive been here(2 on a Thursday early evening and one on a Saturday night) is people dont leave the back area. So people with latch onto the dart boards and pool table and will stay on them for 2-3 hours. Its absurd :/
Despite having pictures of my Id, passport, and vax card (but not having a hard copy of my id as a 31 year old) the bouncer was extremely rude and said ‘you should know better’ despite it being the first place in months to actually check an id. Shame on this establishment. But I guess they don’t want money from honest hard working AmericansApparently a year and a half of using photos of IDs is just supposed to be ignored and we are all “idiots who should know better”. One place that should definitely go by the wayside. Politeness and decency should not be thrown out in todays society. But if you want to give your money to a place without morals and decency, highly recommend this place
I LOVE Ace Bar. This is exactly what an East Village bar should be and is supposed to be. The drinks are plentiful with generous pours. The bartenders are always super cool and uber friendly and genuinely so, not some fake friendly just to get tipped. They have some new beer varieties, Ive noticed...in the craft category, which is great. There are loads of games to play to keep you busy and having fun. Once a friend had a birthday party and they took a reservation so we could all fit and get taken care of.Overall, a cool semi-divy bar that I highly recommend.
This place is really really cool. I just wish other people didnt feel the same way. It is a nerds dream. It has skeeball, video games, two pool tables and darts.I went there on a Saturday night and it was packed. I wouldve probably enjoyed it more on an off day, when its not filled with hipsters. The drinks are strong. But, theres a bit of a wait to get drinks. Other than that, its cool. Will be back!
This is my kinda place. Long happy hour with fair prices, security and space for about 120 people. Big TVs 70-90s rock, pop and dance playing and. SUPER nice bartender gave us extra drinks after I asked for another and he brought me a beer instead of a shot. They have darts (free), skeeball and two pool tables.
The good: this bar is huge, has a lot of games in the back, and has averagely priced drinksThe bad: It is almost always crowded and not just at night. I dont want to spend 5-10 minutes waiting for a drink at 2pm on a Saturday. Even when its not entirely crowded, its usually rowdy with a lot of shouting patrons. I know the quality of the patrons doesnt fall on the responsibility of the bar but overall, theres plenty of other places to play a game of pool on a weekend afternoon (e.g. Sophies and Josies within a block of here) so check those out if the screaming booth behind you is drowning out any chance of conversation.
Great bar with skee ball, pool and darts, very few bar have all three of these games in nyc. Staffs are friendly and helpful. Atmosphere feels laid back and cozy. Usually get packed on weekends. Popular with the locals. Great selection of beers. Overall great place must try for anyone into bar games.
Great for dates, pool and other games good drinks too
I was out tonight to celebrate a friends 21st birthday with a big group of friends. The security the front door was very rude and they did not allow some of my friends to come in. They claimed they were really drunk even though theyre very cohesive and okay. They were also really rude to other guest in their establishments. I would not recommend and HIGHLY RECOMMEND to go somewhere else. Somewhere else that treats their guests with respect. Dont come here ever!
Great place to spend an afternoon. Lots of bar games and plenty of seating. Cheap drinks as well, provided by nice bartenders. The music can get very loud.
Great selection of beer nice staff butt someone needs to turn that damn music down. Whenever they turn it up me and my friends leave. I recommend you do the same! Bar owners that dont have a dance floor need to understand that these are social venues for verbal intercourse not loud music. Vote with your feet and reclaim your hearing and social watering hole.
Classic high-end divey bar in the East village. You can get solid deals during happy hour, which lasts an extraordinarily long time. Especially go there for the $2 games of pool (usually $5) and $5 well drinks. Love the atmosphere and the music, too!
Nice bar, but nothing special. Standard bar drinks with a lot of room up front. In the back are a couple of skee-ball machines, fun to play head-to-head with someone, and a couple of dartboards. Best bet here is to order pizza from nearby as they allow outside delivery inside.
Very great place. Just waiting for NYC to fully open up so we can fully enjoy ace bar. 2 pool tables, two dart boards and 2 skeeball machines. AC was broken last time, so if it feels like a sauna, its only temporary!
Free Darts. I like bar games. I like free bar games. I like free bar games in bars with cheap beer. I like free bar games in bars with cheap beer close to my crib. This place hits the spot. Cheap drafts, two dart boards. Call it a night. The kind of bar you can start the night with and never leave. Theres skeeball which is novelty fun. I believe they have a league which is hilarious. But like I said Im here for darts. Theres also a pool table. Ive been known to get down. The crowd isnt terrific but Im not looking to play darts with strangers. I bring some buddies. Bartenders are fine. Never gotten a buy back but thats not a huge deal since the drafts are reasonable. No pitchers though I believe.
Interesting place with a mixed crowd of punky crews and post college east villagers. Place is cool with a lot of character. There is pinball in the front and pool and skeet ball in the back. Drink prices are great.
Fun dive bar with a few different things to do - skeeball, pool, pinball, other arcade games, darts, and of course drink and watch games. The atmosphere is very chill and there is often enough room for the your crowd.
Gets packed on weekends, especially with the NYu types, which can be a bit overbearing at times. The pool tables are annoyingly situated in the middle of the crowd in the back, and the worst of people insist on playing at the busiest of times and do not have any shame in being a nuisance. With that said, the prices are unbelievably cheap on virtually every drink, especially beers.
Ace Bar is better appreciated on a Friday or Saturday night when the bar is packed. It offers pin ball, skee ball, duck hunt, darts and pool. Great spot for a first date, or for a group of friends. FYI: credit card tabs are $20 min, no excuses.
Escape the two-hour waits at Joyface and Ding-a-ling and come here for a more casual and fun atmosphere.Pretty inexpensive.
This might be a fun place to go when its not a Friday or Saturday night and if youre under 25. My experience here was on a Friday and it was insanely crowded. Took about 10min to get a drink. After one round, we bailed and went somewhere else that didnt smell like a frat house or bad mistakes.
I have never met a more rude bartender in my entire life. Seriously pathetic
It’s a dive bar, good pool tables and sports etc, be great if the glasses were cold
The bar is so much fun and the manager Matthew was so nice to us and we will definitely be back
Super chill atmosphere with arcade games, good music, skeeball, darts, pool and TVs in the back. Great place for after work drinks with friends, or a fun date spot - the happy hour specials are kick ass
Ace Bar is a fun place to go since they have skeeball machines(!!!), darts, pool tables, and a juke box towards the back of the bar. The front area has booths which is great for groups. The bar tends to attract a younger crowd so youll certainly feel young at heart here!
Fun bar with great music!
This is a bit of a regular place for me and my friends. Darts, skee-ball, pool, TV with sports, plenty of space, and cheap beer. A bit off the beaten path (not directly in the East Village) so its less chaotic than other bars in the area. Always a good time.
Great atmosphere and environment! The drink were ok! First margarita was a little undrinkable so went for a beer instead
Great place to throw some darts, drink a High Life, and hear the Pokémon theme or Limp Bizkit on the jukebox. A good not-quite-dive neighborhood bar with good vibes.
This place was awesome. Adult arcade. They support green lifestyle also. I appreciate those little things. So many awesome games. It was super nostalgic
Attentive bar staff, but not the best draft list. Went there on a Saturday night - a bit crowded if youre trying to play pool, or if youre just trying to hang out and dont want angry pool players jabbing you with their sticks.
This place is hit or miss. It has cheap beer, Big Buck Hunter HD, pool tables, skee ball and dart boards, but it also gets ridiculously crowded with college kids on weekends. Best to go early or really late.
Fun bar with a lot of games to choose from, pinball, skeeball, buck hunt, pool, and darts.Overall had a fun time with my group and good drink specials.
Bar was empty, kicked us out because we didnt buy a drink (bouncers forcefully removed a member of our party).
Great dive bar with pool, darts, and skeeball. Friendly staff and at least 2 bouncers. Cheap drinks and cheap fun.
Great bar with games. Darts are free and only require a deposit. Skeeball requires moneyMargaritas were solid
This little dive bar in alphabet city has it all for those that like to do more than just sit on a barstool. They have skeeball, arcade games, pool, pinball, and darts! And of course you can watch your games on TV as well.
Fun games, good drinks. Good atmosphere just gets crazy busy on the weekend. Been twice had a blast both times.
Creepy advertising, Ive been here once over a year ago I believe and received an email to buy a gift card after things have settled down.
Great bar with trivia evenings, pool table, point pong and some arcade machines. Not too loud or crowded. Location not the best.
A nice spot, but a little too crowded for my taste. Fun games, though!
Rude bartender acted condescending when I asked for his name. later, he threw out my untouched drink because I didnt cover it while i used the restroom. he replaced it at least
Fun bar, great staff, good happy hour, bar games and decent prices. Can get overcrowded on Friday and Saturday nights.
Definitely homophobic. Horrible service and attracts an even worse crowd of people.
At the door the bouncer said a terribly sexist remark and THEN did not allow our friend in on his birthday. Never coming back here again!! You lost a lot of good business.
ALWAYS a fun time! Cheap drinks, dope arcade games, great vibe... perfect dive bar for any occasion!
Great bar in a great location
Nice little bar. The pool tables are too close to the walls but still usable.Regardless, very nice place to hang out.
Fun large space with decent priced drinks, crowd is between college and late 20s with skeeball and 2 pool tables in the back.
The Sunday bouncer is comically serious.Feel it has to be some Andy-Kaufman-like cosplay!!The bartender however was great!!But seriously that “bouncer” needs a hug … or maybe some medication
Its a cool concept but its hard to get into a game when people sit there for hours
Millennial bar masquerading as a dive bar. Watched a final four game here, played some skee ball, good times were had by all. Only con was it was a bit crowded.
Decent place. A bit loud... But they have a pool table so bonus. Better to come on a week night so as to avoid the crowds.
Really nice atmosphere with nice pool and skiball area! I would definitely recommend visiting during happy hour
Large fun bar with all sorts of machines , pool table, a few booths and good selection of beers. Bring ID with you.
A bit hard to get to from public transportation but the bar itself is good. full of young people and video games from the 90s. Really it doesnt get much better then that
Cute bar with games & a photobooth :) Seven buck ciders are a great way to pregame
The go to dive bar on the lower east side. Simple beers. Generous shots. Pool, skeet ball, and darts. What else is needed.
Typical LES bar. Gets super crowded late on weekends so they shut down the pool tables. Darts and skeeball stay open late though.
Place is fun, but of course often crowded and it’s mostly 20 somethings
A true dive in the east village. Pool, darts, and skee-ball in the back. Cheap drafts, bottles, and booze up front. Bathrooms can be an issue, and it can get rowdy, but its anything but boring.
Bar sucks and bouncers are worse. Abuse their power.
Friendly place with Skeeball, pool table and some video games. Did I mention... Skeeball? Happy Hour. No food on-site but they have a massive selection of places to order from.
Ace Bar has a nice big space with pool tables in the back and prices that wont break the bank.
Badass spot on this side of the city. One of my go to bars for sure. Happy hour is the best time to go.
The bar tender charged me $9 for a drink that clearly says $8 on the menu. I asked him, “isn’t it $8?” He goes no it’s nine. Disgusting.
Nice, comfortable and fun place, but it´s expensive. You need your passport or id to drink a beer.
This place needs a copy of the NY state laws. I was removed for using the wrong bathroom, not only is this unacceptable but is against NY state law.
Awesome place if you like games and drinks....Darts, skeeball , pool and some arcade machines
Darts, pool, skee-ball and 3 dollar pints. How about that.
Great not quite divey joint- with like darts, and bar stuff. Its a bar, bar. Go have a beer and talk to people.
Bathroom doors dont lock, so if you have to poop, definitely find another bar to stop at first.
They have cheap beer, a friendly bar staff, and ski ball. Enjoy!
Fun bar to go play some games when you dont really know what to do !! grab some beers, pretty cheap.
Ableist bartender with dreads.
Cheap drinks! Really friendly staff and great selection of entertainment
A yuppified dive bar, too crowded on weekends, but wins for having ski ball and pbr drafts at a reasonable price
Fun. BIG. Laid back. Pool, darts, lunch boxes. Everybody loves Ace bar.
Great dive bar in the east village. cheap drinks and skeeball and pool in a big area makes this a great place to stop at literally any time. ive been here at 1am and 1pm and both times have been very fun or super chill.
Beware: that Skee Ball will suck you in and take all your money. Don’t go if you are super competitive...
Great bar.. skeeball, pinball, pool. Expect crowds..
Always a fun time with bar classics and welcoming staff
Was there in 99 and had a great time, looks like the place hasnt changed much.
Gets crowded but a good place for groups and bar games.
Big open space, quick bartending, and skeeball & pool tables
Cool spot. Drinks and TVs in the front. Games and bathrooms toward the back. Wasnt packed at all when I went on a Friday after work. No food but you can order in from whatever you like. Id go back!
Good beer selection, decent prices, spacious, good game selection
I had an informal birthday party here on a Friday night in December. I did not call ahead and reserve anything (whoops?). The bar is kind of your typical bar but in a great way. Its large, spread out, has quite a bit of seating, long-ish bar, and big back area with games. The bartenders were nice and really fast. Cant speak of prices, but a good variety of drinks. Bouncers were nice and the place was pretty clean. When it gets busy, it can get a little crowded near bar and you have to wait for bathroom.Definitely recommend!
Cheap drinks sports bar. They have darts which is cool.
The bouncers are so problematic. He targeted our group asking immediately how many drinks we’d have when we were near sober. Was definitely homophobic and so creepy.
Looking for some where to go to celebrate my birthday on a week day(Tuesday) and this is the spot...drinks are on point, the workers are respectable and music choice available looking forward to coming back... Thank you for making my experience amazing
Drinks are pretty cheap. There is happy hour in the early hours. Especially recommend margarita. Long Iceland isnt bad. There are many different entertainment activities such as, billiards, darts, ski ball inside. It gets pretty crowded in the late hours. Their security is rude.
0 would be better. Not allowed to sit in the chairs for some reason.
This bar has Skeeball machines that take credit cards. I love the future.
Interesting for the games (pool, skee ball, arcade), but otherwise nothing special.
Great place with games, very affordable and good music ! Great service !
2 pool tables. Darts, beers. What else do you need. Good spot for pints. Great staff. Pool tables get competitive since Amsterdam billiards is stupid expensive alot of people come here to shoot around. Great atmosphere. Just when you go dont be queuing up bad music on the jukebox please:)
I’m sober. Bouncer asked me how many drinks I’ve had and didn’t let me in. Likely homophobic, but certainty delusional!
Too crowded... Lots of good looking people but why are they cramming everyone in?
Pinball and skeeball and beer. Rinse and repeat.
Used to love Ace Bar, but ran into one of the worst bouncers in NYC out here. He assumed my friends ID was fake (it wasnt) and when we proved it wasnt fake with pictures of her other IDs, he acted like he was doing us all a HUGE favor by even considering letting us in.And when we walked away too quickly (not saying anything, antagonistic or otherwise), he decided to have a massive power trip and kick us out for having an attitude.Ive never had issues with any bouncers in NYC before this, totally poisoned my viewpoint of Ace Bar.
Cool spot to chill and drink cheap beers. Skeeball was dope
Had a boys night for our friend shipping off to the core. Ace was very packed but the games and the music made it worth it. Played darts and skee ball while waiting an eternity for the pool table lol. Drinks weren’t overpriced and the vibes were great, would defo go back! We happened to set the new record on the skee ball 550!
Very RUDE staff. Kicked me out for no reason. Go there if you want to be insulted.
Awesome spot....lilly you rule.8 dollar cigs and porn!? Say word son.
Went here for the vibe. Typical dive bar with drinks and a few games.
This is bro sports bar but they have a pool table
Great place for a night out, prices are okay, theres a large selection of tap beers and theres plenty to do.
Visited a few spots but this was the place we landed, its a very cool place. and even though it was packed it never took to long to get a drink. Would definitely go back
Fun bar, arcade games, decent drink deals
Great fun spot with well priced drinks.
Fun spot with games, been going for years, it’s like a tiktok spot now so it’s not as good as it used to be, happy for their success just mad people all the time
My favorite dive bar. Cheap beer (relatively), great service and broken skeeball machine. Pro Tip: take the machine on the left for an easy high score)
Good place to have some drinks and play some games with friends
Great and cheap night! Beers and pool for affordable price
Very crowded, but kinda worth it. Skeeball, darts, pool. Friendly crowd and service.
Extremely rude bouncer told my husband that, despite 2 years of using photos for IDs, all of a sudden customers should just “know better” and bring their passport to every little hole in the wall bar. Avoid this place if you have decency.
Beer choices ehhh. Games insufficient. Only has a hunting game, ski ball, darts and pool. 1 ski ball machine was down and had to wait for cutie pie to stop making out while playing darts so we could play. Meh.
Shout out to a poppin pregame bar...where the fun and games are always ready to be played...the drinks still flowin
Good drinks. The atmosphere seemed pretty cool from what I saw. Want there for long, so I didnt get a good feel for the place. But, they have pinball and ski ball and pool... so plenty ways to keep yourself entertained with friends!
Great bar!!! Was in NYC for the Giants vs Cowboys game...super friendly bartender, she made me feel very welcome and comfortable, even tho I went in by myself! Not always an easy task, esp a single woman from out of town. Patrons were great, doorman was awesome, drinks very reasonably priced for the locale. It was late when I walked in (after 1am), couldnt sleep after the high of the football game, and staff treated me like a regular. Highly recommend for locals as well as out of towners, men and women alike!
Loud. Young crowd. Great price for Ace beer.
Went here for Laras bday. Romo meet me here.
Layout/atmosphere*Photo booth, two high tables and two TVs in front; bar, booths and two TVs in the middle; pool tables, Skee ball and one TV in the back; outside food allowed; no beer & shot specials
I am not against paying to get in, neither to play darts even is 10$ is a little expensive, but at least get some good quality darts board. Both boards were so used that darts would not stick on it.Answer to the comment of the owner :I hope you can give me back my 10$ when i come back
Darts and pool plus $3 high life bottles
One of my favorite dive bars. Fun games like darts, skeeball, and pool. Great music, good vibes.I had my birthday here last night and it was so fun. I reserved a booth for free, which made the night easier.I technically reserved it for 10:30, but showed up around 11:20 and they were really nice about it and cleared the table when I got there. If you have a party of around 20 they reserve a booth. If you have a lager party around 40-50 you can reserve the back area where the games are.
Decent bar but was disappointed by the lack of ethics shown by the bartender. Ordered 3 drinks this past Sat night for $29. I did not leave a tip because these were grab and go drinks (didnt hang out by the bar) and the bartender took all of 10 seconds to make them. I signed the receipt but left the tip line blank, as I do often. 2 days later I find out I was charged $35. Dear Staff, When someone doesnt leave a tip, please do not fill it in for them behind their back. This is a very bad look for a bar. Very unprofessional. I will not be returning to this establishment anytime soon.
Ace Bar is super fun! The front is a solid bar in its own right, but then they have pool and everything in the back. You can go wrong here. Ive been in for parties, for happy hour, and on a night out - each time was a lot of fun.
A standard pub. Its located on a quiet street on the edge of Alphabet City and doesnt feel like its part of the scene. Decor is typical dive, with the addition of pin ball and a subtle Star Trek theme...Beer selection is kind of poor (there is an in house Ace beer, made for them by Budweiser, not quite sure how I feel about that), but the come up is that the drinks are cheap. Its just a place to hang out and have your way with a few glasses or more.
This bar has been around for decades. In a city where new bars pop up and die everyday it should tell you something about the place. The rest renovations took away a lot from the old charm, but still its a cool place to go hang out with friends and play pool of darts.
Nice place. No bar food though
Good service. Pool. Darts. Skee ball.
The crowd cheered for the iCarly theme song and did not know what Sweet Caroline was. Depending on your crowd youll enjoy this place or wonder where the time went.
This has been one of the best divey type bars in NYC..really enjoyed it.
Maybe I’m just uncool at this point in life, but for being a really loud dive bar, it was pretty pricy. The games are a cool feature, but it was impossible to play anything because it was so chaotic and packed with screaming college kids. Neat concept overall
Skeeball. It can get a little crazy but its a fun place.
I can honestly say I remember very little from this bar. I was hammered teetering on black out level. I met a great couple that was there on a stay-cation and the bar tender was super friendly. I did make it back to my hotel in one piece. Thanks Ace Bar!
Bartender made fun of my male pattern baldness.
The definition of a LES Dive bar. Good dart boards and relaxed atmosphere
1) worst drinks I’ve ever had in New York City. Lemon drop tasted like battery acid and green tea tasted even worse. How do you mess up a vodka soda and charge $10?2) bouncers really think they run the town. They don’t3) don’t go
Decent prices for Manhattan, dive bar with games and pretty great music if you like alt rock. Bar staff are great, too. Friendly but efficient.
The bartender is super nice. Security is on point, he pays attention. Games there are always fun. Super cool bar! Totally going back.
Fun place. Met some good people. Bartender let me bring in food. Great prices on st. Patricks day
Fun fun fun. Has skee ball, billiards, darts. Place gets buzzing.
Staff was so friendly and the vibes were good! Decent beer too
I love playing arcade games at the bar & the drink prices werent bad, however the cocktail waitress was extremely rude. I had been here a few times and really liked it, but I didnt think her attitude was warranted. She shouldnt assume my tipping habits or roll her eyes at customers. Additionally, skee ball ate my quarters. It says $1/game but forces you to pay via credit card, $5 minimum.
Possibly the BEST happy hour in the East Village! $3 draft / $4 wells / $6 drink and shot is just something you dont see around here anymore. The vibe is very fun and chill with darts, skee-ball, pool and pinball, not to mention the super friendly bartenders!Another great relic of bars, not only do they allow but they encourage outside food to be brought in!! The bar menu is just a bunch of take-out menus to call up, and they have no problem with you eating in there. Honestly that cant be beaten.Love this place will definitely be coming back!
Great neighborhood bar spot to relax after work or a fun place to go with friends and coworkers. Great beer prices and all the bar games youd want in the back. Darts, pool, you name it.
Adam ,the bartender is the best in the world friendly and fun, creative ! We actually came up with our own drink together Sex in be sure to order it Theres just something about a bartender that gives you a glass of water and lemon before you start your night of drinking 🍸🍹🍻that just says a lot about how he cares kudos to you Adam . With The bouncers Shane especially I always feel safe
Real neighborhood page. Nice selection of bar games
This place has potential if you can get there early and enjoy a few drinks. They offer skee-ball, pool, and darts, which can be fun. But I went on a Saturday night and this place was unbearably crowded. It was packed wall-to-wall and some people were still trying to play pool, making it even more uncomfortable.Im willing to check this place out during a less crowded hour.
Cool atmosphere and aesthetic. Unfortunately most unfriendly and purposefully rude staff Ive encountered probably ever. What a shame.
Great place to go if youre looking for a fun happy hour spot during the week when its not too crowded. Free board games and darts. Pay per use skeeball and Im not sure how much it is for a pool game but great service at the bar.
Visited the bar on a Thursday evening and it wasnt too crowded at all. Great place to grab a table to chat with friends, play some pool, darts and a few arcade games. Beers are reasonably priced.
EXCELLENT service, amazing vibe, 10/10 atmosphere, clean bathrooms- great bar!
Great staff. Great drinks. Def recommend
Some of the best bang for your buck for drinks in the city. Happy hour is $4 well and beers and ends at 8pm. Place is spacious and not too crowded all night. They have pool, darts and skee ball !
Ruben, the bouncer/manager, took it upon himself to destroy my state issued drivers license in front of my friends and I. While we pleaded with him to simply scan the ID, he refused to do so and continued to tear apart my identification. I have to spend $65.00 dollars to get it replaced. There should be a protocol that avoids ripping apart legitimate identification while complying with the law. I would have gladly talked to the police, and still would. Incredibly poor management.
There is skeet-ball, darts, pool, and pinball. Overall a good interactive bar with good pricing. I would recommend for people to go and hang out because there is a lot to do.
Good service, not as crowded as some other places.
The staff here are always the most welcoming people ever, the games in the bar are always a highlight. Skee ball, darts, deer hunter, and of course their vintage lunch box collection make the Ace Bar experience a must! They dont serve food at the bar but let you bring outside food into the bar. The bartenders also keep a book full of menus from the area that deliver to the bar!
Dive bar that has games. Why do all NYC bars have this smell
Fantastic bar with a great jukebox!!It used to have darts and now no more ☹All else was top notch, they even have big buck hunter. Step up and take the shot!!
This place has two pool tables which accept cash or credit. Two dart boards, skii ball and board games. Great atmosphere. They also have a trivia night which can get pretty packed because its in East village and students can fill the place up.Nice amount of TVs for sports but not overwhelming. My favorite place for a game of pool.
Fun place. Plenty games, cheap beers, lots of TV screens. Only downside is they dont accept cards for less than $20
Good draft selection. Cool atmosphere
So much to do there! I really like the bar because it has a very casual atmosphere, its spacious and has enough entertainment for all your friends. Skee ball is my weakness and its always there waiting. 2 dartboards at the bar usually have lines but its not that difficult to wait it out and play. You have to leave a deposit of $10 at the bar if you want to use the darts though. Drinks arent expensive either. This is definitely my local place to bring friends to after a house party.
This place has lots of activities. Drinks are also very well priced. No food here but you are allowed to order in.
Had a ton of fun here. The skeeball machines need to be calibrated (you have to keep youre own score of head to head) but outside that amazing & surprisingly fun!
Old dive where I used to come and play pool. 2 One dollar pool tables, so youre likely to be able to get a table. Gets kinda fratty when it gets crowded on weekends, but all the indoor games are fun.
The house brew is $3 all the time. Enough said.
Fun bar, great quirks and talking points. The skee ball machine will charge you $5 if you swipe your card. They should probably make that more clear.
Chill vibes man. The pool tables were perfectly priced. Bring ur bros cus it’s going to be a good time.
Fun dive bar. Free darts, pay per play pool. Cheap drinks. Kinda grimy -- what you would expect from a dive! Im into it.
Decent bar, kind of a young bro scene on the weekends, good staff.Could be more clean & the drinks could be a bit better, but it hit every expectation I had walking in.
Dart board and pool table and thats pretty much it. Good!
