Blue Haven sits in a cool location and is a great spot to grab a drink. Sit back and watch them one of the many TVs that has sports airing. Anytime Im in the city. Its worth stopping by this cool little spot surrounded by lots of great restaurants. Always attentive, courteous and friendly staff make this a must-stop.
Blue Haven West is a go-to for me to watch games. Inside is great and can get rowdy which adds to the atmosphere. There’s also a ton of outdoor space for when it’s nice out. Don’t sleep on the food either! The General Tso Cauliflower is incredible. Same with the wings and the chicken tenders. Don’t let the funky flat tenders fool you… they are delicious. I get the smoked soy sauce on the side… so good! Some of the best bar food in the city.
Super delicious nachos, enough food for 2 or 3 people. The drinks are also delicious and reasonably priced during happy hour (Mon - Fri until 7pm)
Went while waiting for the local pizzeria to open… excellent service and food!
Nice location but do not go if you want to eat AND watch football because it is packed with students and you will not be able to sit down on a Sunday.
Attentions we’re amazing! And you must have to order the nachos! The pork is amazing ! I will defitnely come back!
UpdateVisited again. Food was just as I remembered ☺️☺️The food was delicious and the drinks were perfectly! The bacon mac and cheese is a must try. The waffle fries are scrumptious. My strawberry magarita was just right. The sweet chili wings are a good mix of sweet and spicy.
Was a great place to watch the Copa American soccer game. Fantastic atmosphere, quick friendly service. Chicken parm sandwich was Fantastic!
College young ppl feel. Water dripping from above cause of rain or idk. Drinks were so-so
Don’t sleep on the crunch wrap supreme, its absolutely incredible 10/10
Came for a drink, I got a margarita, which was made with infused habanero peppers, and it barely tasted like it. You could taste the lime and grapefruit,(possibly the bartender forgot to add it?)! When I asked the bartender if thats how its suppose to taste she said they never heard of the drink being weak. I thought maybe my spice level tolerance was high, and asked my partner who does not like spicy anything to try it. He too agreed that it was weak. The bartender left much to be desired. I guess there is a first time for everything, and today was the day when a server doesnt care to be bothered and fix a problem. Per receipt, people say to ask and I want to add, typically when business say cash DISCOUNT, it is SUBTRACTED from the bill not added. Wont be back.
Food is pretty good (didnt have coffee on hand, but had no problem putting in a fresh pot). A bit pricy, but a good place to meet, talk business, or just hang for a while. Staff could be a bit more personal/ friendly, but they are efficient, so thats appreciated.
This is the go to place to watch football and have a beer. The food is solid and exactly what you want on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon for both college football and NFL. Our server Maeve could not have been nicer. Can’t wait to go back next weekend.
Your weekend go to for sports. Win or lose this should be your go to bar for a game. The drinks are reasonably priced. The TVs are on and the crowd is locked into the game. Overall great time and always worth the stop in.
Perfectly acceptable. Nothing amazing nothing bad. It was better than ok though. I enjoyed the food
Some of these reviews are total lies its just hysterical. I’ve been coming to blue haven for years now and they are always on point whether it’s for a boozy brunch, a simple lunch or a night on the town. The workers are awesome and insanely dedicated to making sure everyone has a good time. All the workers old and new-Sarah, Andrew, Adam, Sabina, Vinny, Delilah, Jesse, James, Beth and more, they are all genuinely kind and easy going people. Treat them with the common decency they deserve and I promise you’ll never want to leave! As far as the food goes it’s a no brainer- if you’re not eating you’re missing out. The mozzarella sticks and poutine fries are a must try!
Loved and crave the Buffalo Dip! Service was quick and very accommodating. I had a plane to catch and they switched up my order very quickly. Plus you cant beat a cash discount!
Not a great place to hangout. Stopped at for the second time and got that same attitude. Bartenders girls (most likely Russian or Polish speaking) like only their established regular men. No question to random guys how is everything and not even “thank you” when I pay for the bill. Vibe is terrible. Just a few steps away there are much better places on Bleecker street. Better vibes. Better prices. Better happy hour. And even free live music. Like RED LION. So it’s so easy to bring yourself to a better place. And I could do that same before lol
We were pretty hungry and hubby hadn’t liked any of my other suggestions. So I found this place and we gave it a shot. For atmosphere, it was exactly what we wanted - 5/5. There were only a handful of people at the bar, no one else at a table, candles and gymnastics on the TVs. It was loud without making it so we couldn’t have conversation. The bartender was British. All of this was awesome! The food was fine. I appreciated the large portion size considering the price. We got the nachos with fried chicken and the bacon Mac & cheese. Heads up that the fried chicken is obviously a Fried breast that is chopped and many pieces don’t have a fried exterior (I was expected crunchy nuggets). And the breading on this was soft and falling off. Fail. The bartender suggested the pulled pork that has a bbq-like sauce. We probably should’ve gone with that instead. The Mac & cheese wasn’t the best I’ve ver had, but it was pretty decent. We will definitely remember this place because of the great casual feel that we needed for our last night in town without the kiddos. What a treat!
I had a beer in this bar close to the hotel I was staying in, and had a great Saturday night evening with great music and some dancing
Davie & Pedro are awesome thank you. The nachos were a BOOM!!
I spent an evening here with my boyfriend. We were served fast and staff was very friendly.Big (!) portions! We shared a veggie burger with fries and the Nachos and could hardly finish it. Large choice of beer (tap/can/bottle) and even cocktails. My cocktail was well mixed and seemed to have high quality alcohol inside.Sports events are screened here.
$3 Bud Light bottles during happy hour. Need I say more? Cool place with a good vibe.
A sports bar with charm and grit. The staff are friendly and fun. You cant miss a game with the amount of tvs displayed. The menu is amazing! Please try the pulled pork nacos, chicken quesdilla, and the Buffalo chicken sandwich. This bar is always full with regulars that add more love to the fun atmosphere. Super fun on major sports nights!
Great bartender and the food was good. Great crowd
Great location! Great service! Great spot to watch the game!
We stumbled on Blue Haven trying to find another restaurant and were glad that we did. Awesome bartenders, great atmosphere and huge portions. Overall great experience and will visit again when Im back in NYC.
This place is great to watch football, but make sure you make a reservation. Weve been here for football/brunch combos and recommend not getting seated in the back room because you miss out on the excitement. You HAVE to try the Chicken & Biscuits with eggs and gravy... Ive done the Cobb salad, which is good, but doesnt compare to the flavor of Chicken & Biscuits. Come hungry though! Brunch also comes with a complimentary cocktail. If you want to drink after that a bottle of cheap champagne will only set you back $35. They also gave me a small creamer pitcher full of orange juice so I could flavor the champagne. Great experience there.
Great place to watch a game. Good selection of beers and better than average bar food.
Burger is massive, perfect buffalo chicken sandwich, and get the waffle fries.
Coco was amazing! They gave us great service was amazing, food was great, and the recommendations Coco gave were amazing.
Worst bar in NYC hands down 🙌
Walked by and the place caught my eye with the open window seating. The staff were pretty friendly but nothing to rave about. I had a burger with blue cheese and it was delicious, pair it with a red wine and sit in front for some excellent people watching.
My only complaint about this place is how expensive it is. Otherwise it has great menu/food, great service, and is an awesome place to pop in for a bite or to watch a game. From there you can easily explore one of the best areas in the city but if you stay here for an extended period of time be prepared to break the bank. It’s a pretty standard problem in the city but I will also say that I’ve been to plenty of other places just as pricey with worse food and service.
Was a fun bar! We got some waffle fries, wings and cauliflower - classic American food! The ciders aren’t on tap, they’re in cans which was a bit surprising but I’d go back to show a classic American bar
Great place to watch a game any day of the week. Service is a little slow but to be expected since its typically mobbed! We ordered the nachos and burger 🍔
Went for the Super Bowl this year... wings were on point, thr fried mozzarella was a bit strange - not the sticks we were expecting but rather a large block of cheese. Beer was a bit overprices imo - $6 for a bud is kind of a waste but guess you pay for the venue...
The tuna tartare tacos are amazing, the kale Caesar delectable and the wings and nachos are also top notch! The perfect mix of classic gourmet and awesome bar food. Add in an awesome draught beer list and a kitchen that is open late on a Sunday night and Ive got a new fave!
Fun times.
Open late, classic loud sports bar up front. Has a quieter sitting area in the back as well
Went here the night of June 21 for the first and last time. The bouncer was inside slurring his words and clearly drunk while walking around aimlessly trying to start a fight with the bars six or seven patrons. When I brought this up to the bartender, he sighed and shook his head in exasperation as if this were a regular occurrence but did not take any action. We did not feel safe and left shortly after. Save your money and go to one of the many other bars in the area instead!
Decent place to watch sports in the area but for the love of god update your food menu, it hasnt changed in SO LONG!!!! Who wants mozzarella SQUARES with watered-down marinara sauce? They cant play sound on the TVs outdoors FYI
Shoutout Addy 🤠
Worst waitress (tatooe over her body) ever!!!!! Very snaughty attitude since the get go. Then she drops the beer all over my table and all over my clothes and bag. If you do not want to work please dont. Dont bring it to your job. Its not my first time, people are usually very nice.
Always ask for the receipt! That young waitress added extra things to the bill! We paid extra 40$ for something we did not ordered. Avoid this place, it’s a scam.
Yummy brunch menu! Chicken and biscuits were my fav, and also good Lox. Chill atmosphere, good sports bar, good drinks, good mimosa, friendly staff. Near Jane and other good brunch places. Went here recently for New Years eve, and New Years Day, and apparently the guy who played Billie from the original Melrose Place also lives in the area, who I happened to see on our way over there. But please dont go there expecting to see him, or stalk him, cause then I would feel responsible. Other celebs who have been spotted there was Christina Aguilera. Casual dining.
Was in town for work, looking for a place for a burger and to watch a game. Burger was very good, as was the service. It was very crowded and got incredibly loud. Not sure of that was typical of a Thursday night or if it was because of the holidays.
We had good time there watching a soccer game
Didn’t eat anything, just a couple of drinks. Bartender was terrific. Will go back!
Friendly and welcoming bar staff with all the sports you could ever need on the multiple TVs around the place.
Bad and tricky ways here to bill you as much as they possibly can. Big thumbs down
The waiter stole my credit card. About 3000 USD were charged the next day.
Such a liars, never go back, I was living in NY at least 5 years, and never happen this to me.We are three and they put the tip of a group of six.The food is normal. The beer, it’s just pee.
It’s fine. Expensive and nothing special.
Righteous pours and well priced drinks.
The bartender Mcguire needs to learn customer service , cursing at at customers for her own entertainment is not good courtesy especially if its my first time in the bar..
I had the steak sandwich with blue cheese and grilled onions it was great. Their sampler platter was really nice also.
One of my favorite bars in the city. Great bar food, especially the Nachos, and great beer selection. Friendly staff
Terrible service. The bouncer and bartender could not have been more rude or disrespectful.
Great staff! Good drinks and pub food. I recommend this place for a very low-key style hangout.
Great atmosphere, solid food and rotating beer selection. If youre looking for a sports bar with wings/bar food, Blue Haven is a top option in this neighborhood.
Will not play sound for nba playoffs, plays weird white ppl music that no one is into
Its a great bar for the neighborhood, new staff in and bartenders have relocated to its second location. So I advise bartenders to be Inviting and knowledgeable to their customers/regulars
Great variety of craft beers, lots of screens to watch sports and an awesome vibe all together plus you can get meals here too
Nice place, good manager. Fast and tasty food
Great place. All around !
If you like a frat party, youll feel right at home. I bring up the mean age but its the only sports bar in the neighborhood.
Had burger and buffalo chicken wrap. Great food...good drinks too! Love the atmosphere.
Cool sports bar, the manager was a little uptight about us using a high back bar stool instead of a no-back stool even after we told him that I had a back injury and needed it for support
Good for post-work happy hour. Decent menu for bar food. Quality neighborhood bar with group space in the back.
A decent bar in NYC. Service and drinks were fine. Just nothing super special to recommend this place above others.
Brilliant place to hang out with friends. Great bar and great food. Tried the fish and chips and it was amazing
Upbeat sorts bar where tunes are blasting and people are dancing. Great mix of guys and girls who are all outgoing and looking for a good time
Good screens to see the World Cup, the guy at the bar is a bit rude. Also - asked for sparkling water, got sold still water.
Great bar in Soho, good choice of IPAs
Great food, great cocktails and beer selection. Fantastic wait staff
Bad place that charges any way they possibly can charge.
Small town feel bar with lots of TVs and dart boards in the back. Nice selection of beer and cocktails.
I loved the nachos 😋
Great place to watch F1 races in NYC.
Best place to hang out and watch the game while having a drink. Servers are friendly and so are the customers
Sarah the bartender is great. The rest of the establishment is just another run of the mill sports bar. If you have a large table, the nachos are great to share. The chicken fingers are awkward to eat because they’re not actually individually breaded tenderloins but awkwardly cut breasts instead. Nothing special, but not bad either. If you’re go to sports bar is full, swing by here.
Bartenders are always amZing you girl rock !
Now that’s an Irish breakfast! Good grub at reasonable prices!
Great service. Mary the bartender is the best. Great atmosphere as well!
This place used to be great, but the bouncer is so awful and mean to customers that there have been numerous complaints against him and the management has done nothing despite being aware of it. I was victim to this myself when I went to Blue Haven for lunch a few months back on a Sunday. I was too slow to show the bouncer my ID on the way back from the bathroom (I was sitting outside), so he kicked me out of the bar very aggressively actually getting in my face when I was surprised and confused.. we hadn’t even paid for our food and I *did* actually show him my ID (I’m in my late 20s). Confused, the server asked what was going on, and when I told her she said that the bouncer has a short a temper and can “be like that” with customers. The server got the manager, who came over and apologized to me and said my party could stay if we wanted to. Manager also offered to comp our food. We declined and canceled our orders and left. I suggested to the manager that she look into training the bouncer better or hiring one who does not try to instigate problems with customers. Later, some friends of mine told me they also had issues with this specific bouncer on previous occasions and had complained to management about it. It’s pretty crazy. Sometimes the situation at a sports bar can call for a tough bouncer. But a rainy Sunday afternoon (not football season) when there’s 12 customers in the entire place in eating lunch? Doesn’t make much sense. My guess is the ownership knows and doesn’t care because I haven’t seen them acknowledge any bad reviews before. I’ve been coming to Blue Haven for many years but no longer. Many nice, clean sports bars in the area that understand hospitality and where staff treat customers with dignity.
A lil outdoor dining was nice. Recommend the pulled pork sliders.
Good bar. Great fries. Good beer.
Chicken and biscuits are awesome. Washed it down with 3 excellent Bloody Marys.
Attentive layoffs back staff, good sports bar.
The food was good. The waitress was ready to say no we dont have and no we cant do that for something to het had and were able to do. We were also rushed due to them making space for a group that was at the Marathon to find out that they didnt even sit in the seats we were in.
JAMES / JIMMY THE BARTENDER NEEDS AN AWARD. THIS IS THE BEST BEV IVE EVER HAD PS. THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS WRONG
Their buffalo wings are phenomenal. Best Ive had in the city.
If you’re drunk, it’s fun. especially on game days.
Best sports bar in NYC. Go Heels.
Buffalo Chicken sandwich was mostly bread, produce was good quality, the beer towers are the best part of this bar for sure. Great spot to get drinks overall, outside could use music.
Solid sports bar. Good crowd. Great staff
Fantastic Buffalo chicken wrap but the music doesn’t always fit the vibe
Decent bar, nothing bad about it but nothing that makes it stand out. There were a ton of flys buzzing around.
Rachel is the best cocktail waitress Blue Haven has to offer.
Excellent place to hang out
Great vibe and great bartenders. Ask for Delilah... shes the best!
Great music & drinks
Thats one of my favorite place to go to have some drinks with my friends
Fantastic, open space, great wine, family friendly place.
My number 1 bar/restaurant to visit every time I am in NYC. Amazing food, great atmosphere. I have been coming here for over 6 years now. Great drinks and even better food
Standard sports bar with TVs, beer towers, and bar food. Where you’d want to go to catch a game but it will get busy during nfl season or major sporting events. Get there early or reserve a spot
Great spot for groups looking for the classic sports bar experience.
Bomb nachos
Great food and great sports bar
Chill sports bar with a good beer list and plenty of TVs.
Great bartenders and cocktails! Perfect vibe
Friendly staff. Great music. Fun times!
Good beer and food. Price decent for manhatten
Adam is the best Bantdender here ❤️
My go to sports bar when I visit NYC
Amazing food, good environment, great waitress, and exceptionally affordable. Buffalo chicken sandwich and bbq chicken flatbread along with their perfectly crispy fries were A+
Poor customer service. Girl with the blonde hair is really nasty.
Really good food and drinks but kind of pricey. $25 for chicken nachos! We sat in the back and were attended to by many staff members. They were all super nice and friendly! We kept seeing the sliders come out of the kitchen so they must be a fan favorite!!
Low key with good drinks and food. Special signs are not updated.
Classic sports bar. No complaints
Came in with a couple friends on a Friday afternoon (around 3). There was a blonde bartender who was extremely rude when it came to explaining what drinks were available and what werent. We all work in the service industry and were just baffled by the attitude she had. We walked out and went down the block to red lion, where they actually understand hospitality. Avoid unless you like garbage service.
Great drinks. Huge food portions. Bold but courteous staff, and the cooks almost emphatically yell the names of the orders when bringing the food items out. Classic NYC—I love this place.
Great spot for a reasonably priced beer tower and football. 10/10 recommend but get there early. Fills up quick.
I stopped by this place for the chicken wings and I wasn’t disappointed. Paired with a local IPA, this place was a hit. Just dropping a star because I didn’t like the concept of my debit card being taken from me to start a tab when I was just there for a quick bite.
We had great food and drinks. The service was also good. Great music and sports on the TV.
Awesome ambiance. Bartenders and waiting staff are all super friendly and inviting. They make you feel welcomed whether youre a regular or a first timer
Publicly shamed me for giving a 18% tip on a more than $200 tab (aka $40) which I found embarrassing and not acceptable... avoid at all costs
This place is fun. Adam rocks.
Comfortable spot and Happy Hour is awesome..
Vibrant bar scene with good vibes and great service.
Kevin the bartender is the best ever! He will keep you entertained for your entire time there. Great drinks and food. A must stop if you’re in NYC
Food was very good. The service was also good. My sandwich was perfect! This is a great place to go watch a game
Good food good people I love the place
Small for a sports bar but charming! Has darts at the back, chill place for happy hour, music not too loud, decor is cute, good and the food is top notch. Try the waffle fries!
Great location, friendly and talented bartender and staff, great spot to watch whatever category of sport 🏈 🏀 ⚾️ you want to see (lots of screens everywhere) and delicious cocktails! Had lots of fun there 🥳 and their decadent nachos were great, too!
Great ra ra spot with solid sports atmosphere
Grate neighborhood sports bar. Food is a little pricey.
My friend and I came in only for a bite to eat and was definitely disappointed by the quality of the food. I ordered the steak flat bread which was dry and had a lot of fat rather than meat, and my friend ordered BBQ wings which looked delicious at first but actuality was gross. The chicken was pipin hot on the outside but extremely dry; probably had something to do with the loud microwave beeps we heard as we waited for our food. This place could possibly serve good drinks, but Id advise people to stay off the food menu.
Fun place! Sort of loud even when its mellow. But absolutely worth a visit
Small friendly bar with TVs to watch your favorite sports. Poutine is good. They also have a nice draft selection.
My partner and i came here to eat dinner & it was a good place! we both enjoyed our food, i highly recommend the BH burger and fries.
Nice bar, playing 80s music and friendly service. They have an outdoor area if you dont want to sit inside
Seemed chill upon arrival, only to be pretty much ignored for the duration of the meal. We left a tip, and a waitress who wasn’t ours walked up at the end of the meal to ask ‘was there anything wrong with the service?’. I responded, ‘it was fine, thank you’. she said ‘well, you left a low tip’. I said, truthfully, ‘this is all the money we have’. to which she replied, ‘there’s an ATM right by the bar’We are Canadians, so we couldn’t have used the ATM without fees? I’d suggest skipping Blue haven unless you are in the mood to be harassed!
Came here for Sunday sports. Great atmosphere. Good selection of beer. I’d come back.
A most excellent place to watch the game!
Crowded but fun and good service!
Friendly staff. Quick service. Good placement of televisions making this a perfect place to watch sports.
Always a good time!
Worst receptionist
Love their wings.. soo good
We go there Mondays as the bartender is so great. Cold beer and yammy food. Still old school NYC😉
Food is always amazing here and the drinks are a nice compliment as well.
Great neighborhood spot for a quiet drink with food!! Friendly staff and top-notch service!
Beware, the couple times I have been here both my friends and I were given outrageous tabs that were definitely over what we drank. Its too bad because its a nice atmosphere to hang out.
Great food. good beer selection. amazing atmosphere
Great nachos. Reasonably priced drinks. Good service.
Place had really great food and a good spot to watch all the games
If youre from Texas like me, youll be pleased to find they serve Shiner on draft here!
Great food! Good prices good portions.
Our server was great. The place was very chill and relaxing. I got the wings ($13 for 10).
Wings are legit. Good place for a football Sunday
Dope spot for that late night drink
Excellent bar. Fun and clean. Friendly.
Always a full bar when most places are empty! Good drinks, crowd and space! Adam is a good host!
Fun sports bar; outdoor seating
Great and fast service. The best bar food
Bucks in 6! Great place to catch a game.
Loud! But fun. But loud.
Solid sports bar with more than just sports
Extremely rude bartender that just rips off tips and gets violent
Good place to watch a game. Great location just south of Washington Square Park
Great place for drinks 🍺
Bartenders were super nice :)
Horrible experience with a bartender named Beth who worked at the 1pm shift Friday on the September 30th she was racist rude and disrespectful horrible service from her and she needs to be fired unacceptable and unprofessional
The beer selection is solid and the food is perfect if you want to share it.
Big margarita menu, and not just flavors. Some solid tequilas on that list. And the food is pretty darn good for a local chain!
The nachos with pulled pork are amazing.
Nice when its not too busy. Awesome cider too
I had the wild caught salmon with red potatoes and spinach. Amazing, just amazing!
Great for brunch, nice and quiet. Food is great, right next to shopping in SoHo.
Plenty of screens for multiple games, decent food and drinks.
Fantastic vibe, chill but attentive staff.
Great sports Bar...great food, great service
Adam and john are absolute dolls! Sara too!!
Basic but good for weekday hangouts.
Good sports bar. They put the game I wanted to watch on.
Best food and best service ever
Walked in and had eggs benny with complementary Bloody Mary. All whilst watching the football. Friendly service too
The place is really spacious and has plenty of space. We decided to sit on the bar as we just wanted some drinks and appetizers.First of all they dont have a nice happy hour, with so many good bars around which offer a better happy hour, this place definitely lacked in a good HH options. We decided go for a glass, they were out of Merlot so went with Pinot Noir. It was like $10 bucks with tip during HH, dony know how much they charge during non HH.We got our drinks and me and my friend noticed that the glasses had a lot of stains and were dirty. When we asked the bartender said they are washed in dishwasher but still the glasses need to be clean. It grosses me out when a place serves drinks or food in utensils which are not clean. So in the end she got us new glasses. We had the fries which were OK nothing special about them. I would avoid this place in future as there are a lot of better spots nearby!
Cool bar
Gets crazy busy during football games. Private room in the back with tvs.
Great place to catch a game and have a beer.
Great bar with delicious food and plenty of space!
The food here is deceptively amazing. They have a decent dart set up in the back that never seems to be crowded.
Chicken and biscuits were amazing 😍😍
Amazing bartenders, great bar!! And crowd!
Great food and service!
Really good pork sliders
