This is a great neighborhood spot. Tons of attention to detail in everything they do! Tyler and the team really create a home away from home. Excellent food that tastes like it came out of your grandma’s kitchen with love, cocktails that rival the best “top 50” bars known around town, and a staff that remember you by name and face. You really can’t go wrong here. Oh yeah, don’t sleep on the espresso too!

This place is absolutely phenomenal! Everything is crafted with fresh, high quality ingredients you can taste. They take normal dishes to the next level with unique flavor combinations and beautiful plating. If you’re looking for a nice dinner out, Festivál has the food, drinks, and ambience to satisfy. The live music and dim lighting make for a romantic atmosphere, coupled with attentive, friendly service. The nachos were our favorite, the pork was so tender and flavorful. The cheeseburger was also delicious. Usually thick patty burgers are dry, but the brioche bun and house sauce made every bite a juicy one. It can be hard to be wowed by a salad, but the Julienne salad did it. Truly the best salad I’ve ever had. Order it with the chicken! We tasted a variety of mocktails and were captivated by each one and its unique flavor. If you need a good appetizer for the table, order a flatbread. We loved the truffled potato flatbread. I can’t say enough good things about this place!Tip: It seems like every night offers something new like a happy hour or live music so check before you make a reservation to get the most out of your dining experience.

Uploaded——————-I previously stopped by for a quick drink, but this time I returned for dinner on a weekend evening. Luckily, it wasnt too busy, so we could walk right in. The beautiful interior was still eye-catching, and the friendly server set a great mood before our meal. We ordered wine, beer, a truffle pizza, and a cheeseburger. Everything was fresh and delicious - so good that I kept eating even after feeling full! :)———————————————————————Ive had this place bookmarked for ages and finally got a chance to drop by last week. Wed already eaten, so we just grabbed a cocktail each. The vibe was sleek and modern, and the drinks hit the spot. Definitely a solid experience. Next time Im in, Ill have to give their food a try.

Don’t recommend. Went there for brunch and ordered the french toast and a latte. The servers were literally all busy talking to each other, I personally had to go to the bar to request something. I asked for extra salt and the shaker was disgusting. I asked for another one, and they said its cleaner but as you can see in the photos, they’re all dirty. The french toast was not cooked through, it was soggy and wet on the inside. The latte was too strong, i told them I requested a single shot and they insisted it was. I personally would never come here again.

Ive been coming to Festival Cafe for over a year now, and it continues to exceed my expectations every single time. The food is absolutely phenomenal—Im particularly in love with their burgers, which are always cooked to perfection, and their nachos topped with braised short ribs and Welsh cheddar fondue, which are a must-try. Any of their salads with chicken is also phenomenal, especially when paired with their delicious flatbread, which truly slaps. What sets Festival Cafe apart, though, is the exceptional service. The bartenders, Cassandra, Alex, and Seba, are amazing. They craft some of the best cocktails in town, with the *Espresso Martini* being off the charts and the *Frozen Rosé* something I order every single time. The owner Tyler is incredibly kind and clearly passionate about creating a welcoming atmosphere. Festival Cafe is a gem, and I cant recommend it highly enough!

Very bad service. Very rude.Yesterday, I was in the area, had some time for lunch before returning to work and was looking for a nice place in the neighborhood. Festival Cafe caught my eye—the exterior was inviting, and the menu outside seemed appealing. I entered the cafe, waited to be seated, and looked around for assistance. A man sitting at the bar caught my attention as he seemed to be the only person available to help. He might have been a server, though his attitude made me wonder if he was the owner. His demeanor was incredibly arrogant. I smiled at him politely, hoping to confirm if I could sit anywhere—at that point, there was only one other table occupied by two customers.Instead of a welcoming response, he looked at me, stood up, and made a hand gesture expressing irritation. He then asked, in a very unpleasant tone, something along the lines of What do you want? I couldnt believe it—I was kind and polite, certainly not presenting myself in a way that would warrant such hostility. Surprised by his unwelcoming behavior, I smiled and asked, Dont you like customers here? He responded with another dismissive gesture and said, I dont need this. I dont need you, effectively making me leave the cafe. The two customers nearby seemed just as astonished as I was. I dont recall ever being treated this way in any other establishment.Wont go there again!

He had a permenant scowl on his face and seemed annoyed to be dealing with us. He did not come out to check on us a single time. When we wanted to order, or get the check, we had to go ask for him to come out. He was sitting at the counter the entire time - we were the only customers present. The food itself was subpar. OVERPRICED… This place is insanely overpriced for both drinks and food. We went for “happy hour” and still ended up with a $93 bill for two cocktails, a salad, one entree, and 6 oysters. The oysters were very very small for $2 not worth it. The cocktails were weak and did not taste good. Mine was 75% ice. Caesar salad was just some salad with a tiny bit of dressing and some bread crumbs. The chicken cutlets were over fried and had burnt edges. They ALSO charge an extra fee when you pay?? For what? Overall, a solid spot. The food was really delicious. Everything was great. It would get a 5 star rating and become a staple if they followed through on their farm to table cocktail theme. The cocktails were mediocre at best and the menu was not terribly inventive to suggest farm to table. Also when I asked them to make a classic cocktail (old fashioned) they were fairly hesitant and suggested one on the menu. Overall, hopefully just working out the kinks of a new place and will improve!

Myself and two other guests visited this place and were really excited to have a cocktail bar come to the neighborhood. We really wanted this place to be exciting but in all honesty, it wasnt. Anyone who is familiar with cocktail bars and the cocktail scene will quickly see that many elements are service are lacking here so here is my advice:1. Ditch the plastic cups! Why the heck would you use plastic cups at a cocktail bar? I get youre trying to promote a to-go business but if a guest is sitting down, they deserve a proper curated glass.2. Improve your service. We had a gentleman who was all over the place (he may have been the owner or GM which is even more alarming). He forgot our first round of cocktails, didnt bring water after we asked, and we watched in dismay as our neighboring table got their oysters but didnt have their silverware and were missing other items that they had asked to be coursed first. We were also handed this Toast POS terminal to check out which required Manager approval only to have no one return after some time for the device which was frustrating especially after we had somewhere to be.3. Stick with the classics or do something unique. The cocktails were quite small and not very exciting. They have off brands of liquor (likely from their partnership days of prior events) that just arent appealing for someone who understands cocktail bars. Also, overuse of the term Bespoke – what is Bespoke Vermouth or Melon Cordial? I dont understand this Farm To Bar thing here. If I think of FTB, I think of Blue Hill.Overall, the experience felt quite pretentious, in a place that didnt have their elements of service honed in. I hope it improves overtime because I really want this place to turn it around and do well. Lastly, while outdoor dining is tough, I think it would be nice if you invested in some planters to soften the noise from Lexington Ave as it is quite noisy to the experience.

First of all they don’t check vaccine status at all. We booked a private cabana with an extra fee for covid purposes. We asked for masked staff while in the cabana when making the reservation and upon arrival. The manager/main guy told us they “don’t have masks,” and rolled his eyes at the request. When he came to take our order, he listened to the entire order before saying he forgot his pad to write it down, making our exposure to him as long as possible. Food didn’t come for over an hour. I came out and asked for silverware and he said he thought I wanted our food to go??? Why would I be sitting in a cabana placing an order with a reservation and my entire family to go? When I explained that he rudely said “I’ll bring your stuff, lady.” Food was good but service was atrocious.

My girlfriend & I have been looking forward to coming here for a long time. We arrived only to be told to leave because of an “unexpected rush.” There were only a few people at the bar and more than half their tables were open. Before we could say anything else, the manager said verbatim “there’s nothing I can do for you.” We we’re quite confused and rather shocked so we just left. We got in no problem at a very busy Penrose shortly after with kinder service. In a highly saturated and competitive market such as NYC for a nice Sunday Brunch, I’m perplexed how this place operates

Festival is an awesome spot! We legit had the best oysters I have ever tasted there and our waiter helped us pair and pick out a delicious wine to go with them! We had the lobster roll and the clam chowder which were both amazing! The atmosphere is great, the service is really wonderful and we overall had a wonderful experience. Highly recommend! We will definitely be back!

Festival is by far the best place in midtown or ues for a breakfast coffee and pastry, lunch or date night dinner. In a neighborhood with pretty average food and bars, this place has phenomenal dishes and custom cocktails. The private Chalets are luxurious and heated! Tyler and his staff pay attention to every detail and my husband and I had one of the best dining experiences weve had in the last 9 months! Definitely check this place out!

As a former chef, restaurant owner, bartender , server & CUSTOMER, it really disgusts me to see obnoxious customers who order oysters after the kitchen is closed and the waiter goes OUT OF THEIR WAY, to satisfy a customer, that they DARE to complain about a price?? Signage is out front! Happy hour prices are at HAPPY HOUR!! DUH! ARE THEY FROM THE DESERT? Or maybe they can’t read? And in NYC, post pandemic, only a weak, insignificant person would go out of their way to post a review to hurt a restaurant. Nice to have a job safe behind a keyboard so one can hide!! Be nice to people who really work for a living! Thank your bartenders, busboys, cooks and waiters, you privileged people! The menu is creative and craft cocktails like the Rhuby Fizz make this a fun, young place not be missed.! I loved humboldt fog cheese on the cheeseboard with milk toast bread was outstanding! Relax! CELEBRATE NEW YORK CITY RESTAURANTS HAVE SURVIVED!!!

Festival Cafe has become our go-to for happy hour on Thursdays -- live music and great food and drinks. We always ask for Rubiel, our server extraordinaire, who makes us feel like were part of the Festival community. The music is always good, and the food surprising at every bite.

Overpriced and underwhelmed. The website is what lured us, yet upon arrival we were asked to wait, when service returned, they walked past us to the couple who arrived after us and sat them. We made a reservation to sit outside and were sat on a tiny slated table in front of a filthy phone booth. We had two servers who didn’t communicate and requested our orders a few times. Flatbread was flat in flavor, the bread itself was tough. The drinks were just ok. This place is on a busy corner and should live up to its website. We won’t be returning.

I rarely give 5 stars to restaurants. Ive made an exception. Please read why? You have to have guts to open up a restaurant in New York City at this time. In my opinion this place, Festival Cafe, has broken every barrier that needs to be broken. What a success story! I am not a drinker but the Oysters and the Raviolis were fantastic. I generally like Oysters Rockefeller and homemade Ravioli, but these dishes were beyond my scope of ingredients, simply divine. The menus are new, fresh, and completely innovative from a culinary point of view. If you enjoy beverage drinking, not only will the taste of the drinks tantalize you, but the drink decors will move you. The presentation of the drinks are simply mesmerising and sumptuous. My guest and I had a spectacular time. Once this place catches on in New York City and everyone is allowed out to dine, we are not going to be able to find a seat in this place for hours, its that good! The owner is fantastic. The staff is helpful and attentive. The inside is spacious and the patio outdoors is delightful. I encourage all New Yorkers to stop by and enjoy yourselves because I came all the way from Westchester and thought it was supurb. Its the newest place in New York Citys splendid Upper Eastside on 2nd at 61st. Please respect patrons and workers and where your masks until you officially start eating and drinking. The world has done so well, so lets keep supporting each other to enjoy this new rendezvous without disruption. Enjoy...

The atmosphere and food are very good. The female staff was especially friendly. Its only been a few days since I came to New York, so its a bit unfamiliar, but thanks to the hospitality of the chef and staff, I didnt have any inconvenience while eating. It was listed as a homecoming week restaurant, so I was lucky enough to have checked it on Google Maps... It was nearby haha. It got really cold and difficult in the evening, so I went there, but I was very satisfied. It was a little difficult to see the menu, but I was thankful that the server explained it well. It seemed like it was mainly operated as a bar 🍸, but despite that, the taste of the food was second to none. I went there because the flatbread looked particularly delicious, and it was well mixed with flowers, high-quality cheese, and basil. Its healthy and delicious haha :) I recommend it. + There are 2 tables outside, a bar, and about 10 seats so you can seat quite a few people inside. There are tables.
