Food was decent. Atmosphere was questionable. The playlist was not matching with the sports vibe. The waiter never gave us our samples of the rose drink they had so we could order actual drinks. Would we go back probably not

The food was very good. My family including 2 teenage boys enjoyed the food. They each got cheeseburgers. My wife had a burger. I got the fish entree that was very tastey. Unfortunately our waitress was rude and disinterested. It took away from the dinner enjoyment. She didn’t even ask how things were or checked on us at all after the food was served. Maybe your service will be better than mine.

Large selections of craft beers imported and liquors free popcorn tons of seating inside and out. Great service kid friendly nice selection of food from tacos to burgers.

They have really good bar food here, super crispy onion rings and tater tots, and the boneless wings were good as well. The staff was really nice and helped us clean a table to sit at outdoors after it had rained.

George Keeley is one of the great neighborhood bars in Manhattan. Excellent taps, reasonably priced solid food, good bartenders. The type of place where you always feel welcome, can sip on a beer and watch the world go by.

Has a good selection of beer and bar snacks (fries, jalapeño poppers, chicken tenders, etc.)The sweet potato tots are amazing.The burgers gk standard burger is average. A little too dry and nothing special.Service is friendly but not fast when it starts to get crowded.

Eaten here a few times and whether it’s a burger, wrap, or the appetizers food has always been good quality for bar food.Buffalo cauliflower is more of a dry rub and then you dip in buffalo sauce. Our table was divided on if we liked it, but I liked it.Wrap has a good size, but would maybe have had the chipotle mayo on side so I could dip instead of in the wrap. Wasn’t so much that it was soggy but was a lot of aioli in the wrap.Most important part - solid beer selection and digital menu lets you keep track of what’s available or running out.

Keeleys has been around forever. I remember when there were dollar bills all up and down the walls. This version does look really great tho. Modern and clean, the staff is truly amazing. The food is incredible - delicious and plentiful. Went to watch a Knicks playoff game and place was perfect atmosphere and everything. Enjoy

What a bar! They have their beer selection up on Lcd! They also have a really solid selection of beers. Premier League games are played on screens. They have solid vego options and all sorts of tasty food. I went with the vego burgers and fries.

Amazing Burgers and awesome sides. Everything was on point. They even had german beer which I really enjoyed. Their hospitality was above and beyond. I will be back for sure on my next trip to Manhattan.

Weekends are not my demographic. At. All. Mainly because after I turned 30, I became too old to be constantly jostled in unbearably loud, over-crowded bars.But my first time here was during the week, early evening and then it was just my speed.They have a lengthy selection of beers and a neat technologically proficient way of displaying them. But I dont drink beer so thats all Ive got on that. Otherwise, its a full service bar with nice appointments. I found the raised seating in the back perfect for reading, interspersed with blatant people watching. And its right next to the free popcorn machine. But I have a sneaking suspicion that they keep the basement hatch open to deter only the most brave of moochers.If the crowd was like the mid-week crowd all the time, Id become a regular. I was over the frat-bro thing back in the late 90s, but dont let that stop you.

Friendly neighborhood Irish pub. Fantastic draft list with some pretty good cans too. Food is standard bar fare.

A very nice bar with a variety of beers that you will find interesting. The ambience and the decorations are something you want from a Manhattan sports bar. The bar tenders and waiters were super cool and polite. I had a great time there on my last night in NY.

By far my fave bar on the Upper West! The staff is incredible and go above and beyond to make sure you have a great time. The manager, Sergio, and one of the bartenders, Zack, are the best in the business! A great place to watch football, grab a beer and celebrate! Never disappoints.

Their burger is not bad, much like other pub burgers, but I really enjoy the atmosphere. Theyve got a fun playlist of songs going on with a generous selection of beers on tap. Their beer club provides an ambitious challenge to anyone who wants to become a regular.

Good bar, its all about the vibe. And its not what can be faked with loud music or pretentious bartender. When its the right one, you just can tell instinctively. The staffs here are cheerful and polite. Things taste great. People seem to be happy whatever theyve been up to--from watching their weekend match to enjoying ones solo dining. Its all thanks to the place thats got the right vibe.

Didn’t get food but the beer and service were stellar. I’m sure based on that and other peoples dishes near me the food must be great as well. Looking forward to trying it out on my next visit!

We were in NYC for our friends wedding, all of us travelling over from England. We needed a great bar to spend a couple of hours in before the reception and we were lucky to find George Keeley. We received an incredibly friendly welcome from the entire bar, both staff and patrons. And the beer list speaks for itself - incredible! Cheers!

The only thing worse than the food is the service, including that of the manager. I just moved in next door and thought this could be a go to place, instead I had the worst experience I had in a long time. Thankfully there is no shortage of other pubs in the area, which are more worthy of my money and of yours.

Bar was pretty empty shortly after happy hour on a Thursday evening. Bartender let me try a beer before ordering (which was appreciated - it wasnt quite my style). Comprehensive beer list with something for everyone. Relaxing place to enjoy a good craft brew.

If you like north Eastern beers youll love this place. Good ambience, great bar staff. Their beers arent my favorite but (I like Ambers and not ipas) I can find at least one I like out of the 15+ on tap. Kitchen is decent enough for bar food and the free popcorn is great. They do tend to close before 0200 though. I keep coming back and it is my preference for the UWS

Bartenders have been great and attentive.

I came on a Saturday night, and it wasnt a big game night so the bars was pretty empty. A nice Waitress/Bartender made my favorite Drink Vodka Gimlet, and it was delicious. Unfortunately the bar food wasnt up to part. I am a big fired pickle fan and I got some oil down pickles and may so little that I was super disappointed. My sample burgers were good but could have been a little better and their twisted fires were super salty. I mean maybe it was me but I like to eat and drink and have a good time. I didnt have a bad time thought got to celebrate an important moment in a very chill atmosphere so it couldnt have been that bad.I would come back on a big game night to see how the atmosphere!

I was really impressed with the outstanding draft and bottle selection of craft beers here. Then I had something to eat: wowzers! I really did not expect the food to be THAT good. The bar gives off a chill almost divey vibe but doesnt serve like it. And the service is nice and fast as well! Not a date night spot per say, but maybe a 5th date when you both realize you like the same type of beers? Just an idea. I recommend it.

George Keeley is a great bar for craft beers and excellent pub food. Their double-fried wings are the best in the city. Excellent fried pickles. Fantastic GK Standard Burger with barbecue and a fried onion as toppings. For wings, the spicy buffalo, Thai-chili, and jerk are the most popular sauces.

Great hole-in-the-wall/neighborhood bar in the UWS. It has a normal pub menu and a huge beer selection. They have a great list of English and Irish beers. The beer club allows you to get your name on the wall if you drink 100 different beers.

Beer Selection is off the charts - always rotating, and always on point. I’ve also tried their Bloody Mary, comes with bacon, which is always a nice touch. I’m picky about bloodys, but this one was very good! I’ve eaten here on a few occasions, I love their wings! Also, have tried the burgers, Feel Good Wrap(yum) and the poppers. At times it can feel like a low key quiet pub or totally jamming on a Football Sunday Funday. The staff is really nice and are quick to bring your drinks. I’ve always enjoyed my experiences at GK’s!

Best burgers on the UWS. Definitely in my top five. Clean, open spaces make it less dark and pub-like but it is still a pub. Beer menu is a journey itself - lots of microbrews to choose from. Can get extremely crowded so plan accordingly.

One of my favorite pubs in the city: solid bar food, a diverse rotation of beers on tap, and a relaxed (but not boring) vibe. If youre with a couple of people, order the Mixed Basket--its a massive combination of wings, fries, fried pickles, mozzarella sticks, chicken tenders and jalapeño poppers, all for just $17.

I used to live in UWS and went here all the time. I moved, and came back to visit a year and a half after moving. They still remembered my name, still were the great people theyve always been, and it was still a fantastic place to drink, socialize, and have fun. Couldnt recommend any place higher than George Keeley.

This was by far the worst burger Ive ever eaten. It ranged from 100% bland to just inedible. The meat had no flavor except for being badly burned and charred on the top and raw inside. Toppings did nothing to help the burger. Curly fries were ok, but added $3 to the price. Honestly, about 3 places in a block radius that Id rather spend the same $19 for a burger and fries.Also, menu on different than what is on Google.Beers are hit or miss, but given the wide and rapidly changing selection, Im ok w that I suppose. Still this will he last on my list in this neighborhood.

Nice bar on uws to watch NBA. It gets a little crowded on the weekends. Great sides to have while watching the game

Very hip place. A must go if you are around. Family friendly, excellent music, amazing décor, wide range of beers. What more can you ask for?

Very laid back, good crowd, huge, high quality beer selection, nice staff. The bar food is delicious. I had group event here once and it went off without a hitch, and the manager, Bridget was excellent at helping set it up.

This place is great. Get the double cooked wings and a couple pints. Always great beer on tap and the staff is friendly and available to get you just what you are interested in.

During the weekends they blast extremely loud music but during the week its great for going out with friends. Good value, decent food, and a nice selection of beer.

This is one of our go-to places in the area. Reasonably priced beer, good service, and great food. It can be difficult to find a table, but not too bad!

I really like that they use tv screens to display whats on tap with price, it really makes the experience better to not have to stand squinting in low light to make a decision, overall decently priced for the neighbourhood

I’m not sure who had the aux the night I went, but that person is GOD’s favorite dj. IDC IDC. Also, they give you popcorn when you’re done your meal...probably to get you to drink more. Either way, they make it mad hard for you to leave.

I usually like George Keeley and frequent there often. Definitely recommend it for a good vibe, good food quality and good beer collection. That said, instead of 4 star Im going with 3 because of a recent hidden charge on my bill. I asked for mustard and was given a small size plastic cup (the standard ones you find in many places) of mustard and then saw a 0.50 charge when I asked for the bill for the mustard. It is not standard for a bar to charge for mustard and while Im totally ok if they want to, because it deviates from the standard industry practice they should make it abundantly clear when a customer asks for mustard that there will be a charge. Not making that clear is shady business ethics l.

My friend and I happened to be passing by and came in just to talk. As a result, we had lunch, drank beer and were very pleased with this place: quality food, a good selection of drinks, friendly staff, nice visitors and at the same time no one interferes with anyone. A great place to wait out the November rain.

Used to be a favorite spot for years, but seems like food/kitchen quality has gone down drastically over the past few months—to the point of under-cooked onion rings causing food poisoning. Shame, as the vibe and staff are still great.

I do wish service was a little better. There was only one employee behind the bar all the bar seats and high top tables. Young lady helping us did her best that could definitely have used support.

Went here to watch the Yankees game and have dinner on a work trip. I had the macaroni and cheese, it was great! Bartender was helpful in getting a beer selection since the options are massive. They also have a screen of what people are drinking if youre looking for a crowd sourced decision. Overall its a great place to visit just down from Central Park.

Perfect pub food and drinks!

I am absolutely heartbroken that Keeley’s is currently closed. This is an incredible pub with great staff, good music with a chill vibe (sans the Friday and Saturday night overflow from bro bars), a delicious pub menu w/greasy and healthy options, and most importantly an array of various types of craft beer that are constantly changing. I’ve been going here well over 10yrs, more like 15. On the rare occasions I was in the area during the pandemic I would stop by for a roadie and a growler if I had it. I take this pandemic seriously and I never had a problem with the safety measures (or lack of) that they adhered to. One time I saw a small group of irresponsible young males with masks down being rowdy on the sidewalk who had clearly gotten a beer (or more) from Keeley’s, but that was the individuals, not Keeley. I hope and look forward to the day that their doors open and their drafts start flowing.

My fave go-to craft beer spot on UWS. I usually make a point to come here and Beer Shop to get my craft fix in this area. Their food is good too. I encourage you to sign up for their frequent beer program thing, its fun to write down new beers you have tried and take forever to earn your freaking plaque. I can always rely on GK to have something on tap that I want to try.

I have not been to this bar in almost twenty years and after my Saturday afternoon visit, I really don’t feel I have missed much! Noise level was high, burger was unremarkable and the service uninspired; if in the area worth a drop in but don’t go out of your way!

Great beer selection, and they always have a cask selection as well. Their burgers and wings (honey garlic) are very tasty, too. Basically a neighborhood local, but well worth making it yours.

George Keeleys has a great list of beers that is always changing weekly. This is my go to place for craft beer on the upper west side. Reasonable prices, darts, free popcorn, good food, and rare beers.

My favorite bar!!!

Very nice crowd during the NFL playoffs this year, then again, I was there very early around 3:30pm. Nevertheless, the place was filled and not overly crowded. Wish they used a Wind Guarded double door.

George Keeleys biggest draw is the giant beer wall that tells you whats on tap, when its been tapped and all the info you could ever possibly want to know about your beer. It is, however, dreadfully slow or at least it was on the Wednesday evening when I visited around 10:30pm. It was so slow, I couldnt even order food, which was a shame because the wings looked delicious.

Nice place with good beer selection and IBU values on many if them so you know what youre getting even if you dont know beers that well but now if you want it bitter or not. Staff are friendly and the place has a good vibe

I came here after amc on a friday night, and ordered the sweet potato fries and mac and cheese. and omg they gave this special sauce for the fries, and it was so delicious!!! and the mac and cheese came in its own miniature pot, and was so cheesy and crunchy. definitely coming here again after the theater too! reccomended for sureee :))!
