I dropped in for a beer mid afternoon. So the place wasn’t busy, so the reason for 3 stars regarding atmosphere. But feel it is definitely a 4-5 when it gets busy. The service was spot on and the barmaid friendly and professional plus happy to answer any questions I had. Personally I liked friendly but not familiar.One thing I really liked was that the bar counter was clean, not sticky or looking messy.

Fantastic Irish bar- great wings, smash burger is unbelievable, Guinness poured properly!! It has all the live sports you need. Staff are really friendly and very very Irish. I’ll be back for sure.

Great spot. Good food and we came on a Wednesday, they host a trivia night and it was very fun. Winner gets free drinks and I ended up winning. Very happy I came here.

First timer for me and it was the best choice. They host trivia night on Wednesday at 8pm and you win prizes for the first place winners. I won and I got free drinks so that was amazing. The food was great. I only tried appetizers but it was still pretty tasty. Will come again ☺️

The chicken burger and fries here are phenomenal! Not your average bar food - the food at this bar is actually good. Chris, Jess, and the patrons are really fun and welcoming. Great place to catch a Premier League game (they play the audio here)!It’s also so clean I can lay my head on the counter when we’re having a bad game.

Popped in here for a quick pint and was greeted with a smile and a perfectly poured Guinness

Honestly the best bar in the area. Everything in the menu is exceptional. The beer selection is limited, but great. And the bartenders are all amazing, and really care about the customers. Would recommend 100%

Everytime I come to the Hendrickson Im always greeted with a friendly ambience, always smiles, outstanding service & good laughter. Every person that works here makes me feel like family.. Chris, Conor,John,hiall just to name a few, even down to the bar back. The food is amazing the wings/smash burgers. The pints are one of the best pours Ive had in the city. They even told me about a new way to pay the bill on the QR code which makes things easier! I highly recommend this place for amazing food, good drinks, best pints and even better service

Really fun Irish style pub in New York City great place to have a drink with a friend or a group of friends. Also a nice scene at the bar. Everyone was very friendly unpretentious food looked great on everyone’s tables and the drinks were well priced. My group of seven friends had an excellent time together and we will definitely be coming back. Great after a show at Rodney‘s next-door totally worth it. Highly recommend.

Lucky we found it on our last night in New York or I know hubby would have been here every night.Loved the atmosphere, felt like we’d been regulars for years and enjoyed seeing the banter between Chris and everyone else; a man who gives a damn about the people in his bar.Drinks are great, they even stock my highly sought after non-alcoholic Guinness, received with only the gentlest of ribbing from Graham!Why are you still reading? Awesome service and great food! Had the sliders, which were both crispy and moist. Nice interior, clean, good for an after work drink or whatever suit you!

You can read all the reviews but if you are smart youll just go there! Experience Chris, Jesse, Sarah, Graham and everyone else. You dont need the reviews you need the experience...this place is the place to go to period! (Or explanation point if you prefer!)

Love it! My new place to be. Once you walk in you are greeted right away by the staff everyone is friendly, drinks are poured perfectly and well balanced. Food is even better from their wings to there burgers. They definitely don’t disappoint.

Authentic Irish pub for great pints at a fair price. Owners are friendly and were very welcoming. Good environment to come inside and watch your favorite sports team or hang at the bar and talk to to the bartenders. Highly recommend!

After getting bullied by the irish guy at the bar about my terrible knit sweater, we watched the most electric Michigan win of all time. Hendrickson himself blessed us with like 3 rounds and the glass i drank the game winning beer out of. We got a blue label wine box to keep the glass in and it will be treated as china in my house for the rest of my life. Hendrickson tattoo on my lower will be there in a few hours. Chris is lovely! He was so attentive even in the midst of Sunday football madness. I can’t wait to return to a new neighborhood favorite.The food was also delicious! Can’t go wrong with the smash burger.

I think food and service go hand in hand. If the service is bad, we subconsciously deem the food bad. And if the food is bad, we often discount the service we receive. I can say with 100% certainty that Hendricksons has both amazing food and even better service. I was blown away at their attentiveness to my needs. Even though I was a guest at the restaurant, they made me feel like a friend. Cheers to you and cheers to Hendricksons!

Waitress profiled black patrons by running after them after they left restaurant assuming they didn’t pay when they actually paid on the app that the restaurant provides. She was not welcoming and embarrassed them by running after them as it they skipped out on the tab, unexceptable.

Top-notch new place on the UES right in the heart of it on 1st Avenue. Fried chicken sandwich is as good as advertised; fries were better than advertised. Game sound, good vibes, and great Guinness.

I went to Hendricksons on a fri night. It has a huge area, additional seating areas in back.There were 7 giant TV Screen where u can watch live sporting events. Allagash, my favorite pint beer goes for $8 kudos to Maria (bartender) .Chicken Sandwich for $17 was crispy kudos to Conor(head chef). Go #Rangers #Rangersin4

Henricksons is the best neighborhood bar - the staff is unbelievably kind and welcoming, and we always have the best time there. Chris (one of the owners) is consistently friendly, accommodating and very generous. The inside vibe is awesome with plenty of space, lots of TVs, food (recommend the wings) and its just always a blast. My boyfriend had his birthday at Hendricksons this Saturday night and it was the best time - the staff was festive and helped us celebrate. We stopped by this morning to say thank you again and were treated to a nice breakfast and Guinness (the best tots!) We highly recommend spending time at this bar!

I came here and at at the bar for over 30 minutes no one acknowledged me or served me . As a person who lives in this neighborhood and love to support local business this has made me fearful that Im not welcome in certain establishments. I just got up and left and was so disappointed my time was wasted.

This is a fantastic new joint for this part of town. Great location on 1st, with a warm and energetic staff, a small but solid selection of beers, and clean facilities. Their chicken sandwich and fries are way better than what youd expect from a pub, and its just good patrons and good vibes all around. I hope to frequent Hendricksons.

I ordered Chicken Wings with sweet chili sauce on Thurs just before 9pm. (Btw kitchen closes @9pm M-Th , @10pm F,Sa,Su). Add me to the list of fans of Hendricksons food menu. The staff here is unmatchable and such a breath of fresh air in NYC. I’ve lived here for 6 years and their staff is better than any other establishment I’ve been to. The drinks come out quickly and they offer suggestions as well which is fun! It is super clean as well which is a plus!

Homophobic “bouncer”. We’ve been here multiple times, had a great time and no issues. Suggested our friends to meet us here for a drink and they were turned down at the door by the bald headed “””bouncer”””. Me and my female friend (2 females) asked to go in and he said “yeah you 2 but not the 2 gay guys”…. He made a scene and it was clear he was homophobic, threw cigarette ash in my friends face. Sucks because this was a great neighborhood bar. Won’t be back because homophobia

Wonderful addition to the hood . Chill vibe . Good music at just the right volume . Open feel . Nice curb appeal with lots of windows and long bar . Decent menu , reasonable prices and variety of drinks . Although it would be nice if they’d ad some unique non alcoholic choices since that’s a trend now ;) mixed crowd of all ages is always a plus in my book . Tender bartenders who are sweet as pie . Wheelchair accessible front entrance which is lovely for everyone . Plenty of TVs for your sports pleasure . Word on the street is there’s live music Friday /Saturdays but Ice Cold Beer Every Single Day !

Standard Irish pub if it wasn’t because while we were eating our dinner on the back we saw roaches around the kitchen area. This place certainly wouldn’t pass a sanitary inspection.. Definitely not repeating!

Brought three toddlers here with four adults after a fundraiser nearby and was worried we wouldnt fit or be welcome. Chris and the waitress were great and more than accommodating; service was awesome, it was super clean and the food was great!

Hendrickson’s is an awesome space! Very fun vibes and super clean. Staff is awesome. I’ve known Chris and John from their times at another bar and they always bring great energy and service to their customers making them feel more like a little community rather than just customers. Great bar and has a pub quiz night. The man who does the pub quiz was extremely nice and friendly. The bartender was also great! I was dropped off here in an error but am happy it happened. It was a great thing and I am happy I was able to see this lovely spot. It is definitely a wonderful, welcoming place for a drink. It has a very good vibe, is clean and has interesting decor.

This my favorite bar on the UES! I’ve been coming here since they opened and have never once felt slighted or treated any differently based on my skin tone! I have only been made to feel welcomed! I also always let the bartenders know that I’ve used the QR code when I do just so there is no confusion! I love this bar and will continue to support such great people.

Went to Hendricksons for a nice fall Saturday. The staff couldn’t have been nicer and more accommodating. The food was amazing the tater tots were a 10/10. If you sit by the window you will get some nice sunlight as well, no other bars in the area have this access. Can’t wait to come again.

Excellent service, great chill ambiance and the Smash Burger is top notch. The owner is also very welcoming and makes you feel at home. They also have Carlsberg on tab, which is really hard to find in NYC and happens to be my favorite beer.

Popped in to check out this new bar as it’s really close to where we live. It’s the perfect spot for a pint and I’m hoping they’ll be showing the Premiership when it kicks off again. Great choice of beers and the Guinness was very smooth. We didn’t eat but the food we saw looked really good. Could do with a couple of veggie/vegan friendly options on the menu. Lovely, friendly staff and Chris was extremely welcoming and chatty. It ticked all our boxes and I’m sure we’ll quickly become regulars!

Stumbled upon Hendricksons and so glad we did! The food was delicious and atmosphere is very welcoming. We had the Smashburger, bang bang shrimps, and popcorn chicken and couldnt pick a favorite. Chris, the owner, really made us feel welcomed and spent time talking to us making sure everything was as we expected. We will definitely be returning!

I was excited to try this place out as it was in my hood. Pleasantly surprised by the beautiful bar that already had a neighborhood feel. The drink list was impressive but more than that was the staff. I could not have felt more welcome. Chris, Connor and Maria (the owners) were behind the bar and I’ve never felt so welcome. Tried the popcorn chicken and it was fantastic. My friend had the smashburger and said it was amazing. Happy to call Hendricksons my new local!!

We went to Hendricksons to watch a Michigan football game. It was everything you want from a bar. Good food, clean and kind employees. This will absolutely be our go to for game days (and other days!).

The crew at Hendrickson’s are off with a BANG (and that includes their Bang Bang Shrimp)!The ‘limited’ menu has everything you need - shrimp (as already mentioned), great wings, a rock-solid burger, moistly and deliciously flavored pork and (honestly) one of the best chicken sandwiches I’ve had anywhere.You would expect Irish pubs in New York to know how to pour a proper Guinness but, as we all know, that’s not always true. The gang behind the stick at Hendrickson’s have made it a science! Perfect, proper pour in the right size at the right price! Went in and sat at the bar and waited like 10 minutes. None of the staff even acknowledged me despite it being less busy than usual. So I left. Wont be going back here again despite it being on my commute.

Gorgeous Pub, great food, plan on watching World Cup, Premier League and Sunday football here. Class! A go-to!
