Had a good time at this nice little Irish restaurant. The food was good and I would strongly recommend the Irish Style Chicken Curry, served with half rice and half fries. Nice twist yet very yummy. The portion sizes are also pretty decent and service is also not bad at all.

They pack so many people you truly cant move or even breathe while standing there and more people are being let it. The place feels to be a serious fire hazard. I have never been so uncomfortable. The restaurant side we did not experience so I cannot review it.

The service was more than a little slow at times - they weren’t super full, but there was a game on and I think that had our server busier. That said, the chicken was amazing and the place had great, friendly vibes.

I arrived here and went into the right side where I saw a crowded bar and a QR code for an app to pay but not order drinks. Apparently this was the wrong entrance. The other door brought me to the restaurant proper where I could order food and a drink. The burger wasnt that bad though the bun was awfully dry. I mightve had more fun just getting drinks.

Was in the area and hungry so we tried Hudson Hound. Was very good, well priced and a fun relaxing atmosphere❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Absolute banger of a time in here. Went with my wife, her friend and my kid. Food was on point, Steak and Guinness just like back home. Mashed tatties that were actually seasoned! Wifes Vegetarian burger got a big thumbs up for not being overly greasy or dry, just right. Very Kid friendly too. Very gratifying to see a kids menu option that was actually the same food as the adults just pared down for little ones. Would strongly recommend. Also dont sleep on the wee shoppe at the door, cracking selection of UK/Irish faire.PS Also if your craving Irish/UK style Chinese curry (If you know, you know) this is the only place Ive found in Jersey that can do it.

Great bar to see and meet people and get a beer in the West Village

I love it here. This place is our local. Its like our lounge room outside of our apartment. Great atmosphere and ambiance. Fun had every time. Great bar staff very accommodating. The food is great, not typical pub grub, its a mixed selection. Beers on tap and good suggestions from the bar staff. Try the espresso martinis for a hangover, your day will greatly improve!

Spacious neighborhood bar with various types of seating including an awesome alcove by the window. Happy hour specials and tasty bar bites. West village local hangout spot and great scene to people watch. Restaurant is solid too and service is always great. Love it. Nice non-assuming place that is never too crowded.

We went for burgers twice about 12 -18 months ago and really enjoyed them. Went this past thursday, shared a Hound Burger and other stuff. It was not nearly as good. The buffalo wings we ordered were burnt.

This has become my home away from home! Whether or not you’re a regular this place will make you feel like family. The staff is friendly and the drinks are great! The restaurant side has some delicious food, especially their French fries.

I have been coming here for years and cannot say enough about how wonderful this place is. The staff is very attentive and friendly, and will immediately make you feel like part of a family. The warm atmosphere and beautiful decor really add to the experience. The menu changes quite frequently, but the food is always amazing, and the desserts are absolutely heavenly (try the Pavlova - you will not be disappointed!). And most importantly, this is where youll find the best cosmopolitans in town. I highly recommend this place.

We have loved this place from way back when it was known as Dublin. The fish and chips are the best anywhere. Irish soda bread is perfect with their lovely soups. Im so glad the risotto is back on the menu. Its a friendly neighborhood place with a wonderful bar and welcoming service.

I have to say...for a bar, this place has impeccable customer service. My group of 8 ended up here after a teambuilding event. Despite being backed up at the bar, the bartenders made every effort to acknowledge and service even those waving their hands in the back. Great atmosphere. Nice people. Will return.

Had the cheese plate and short rib entree. Taste was fairly good, but not great. Service was very good, quick seating but it was the Sunday of July 4th city so the west village was like a ghost town. Not sure if its busier during a regular Sunday. Great for outdoor seating and people watching.

Amazing food and drinks! The owner Jason had so much class and made us feel so welcomed! Steve the bartender and Alana are also a great addition to the establishment. I would highly recommend the Hudson house for a great time with great food. Order the burrata and you will not be disappointed!

The weekend brunch is excellent. Full Irish Breakfast, pint of Guinness and the ability to sit outside and people watch in the west village. What else could you ask for to make for a perfect Sunday? Try the sticky toffee pudding - be aware, you may want a nap after!After many years in NYC this is the only place I could find with authentic Irish sausages and rashers. Service was great - will definitely return again regularly.

Lovely location. And sincerely some of the greatest staff. Most definitely the lightest and fluffiest fish and chips if ever had. You’ll want a fork for this one! I’ll be staying near here and come back often. The bar section and dining section make is a good night spot to either start any the bar and transfer to table or Vice versa…I could stay a while. Oh heck, I did! And will again soon.

Kate the bartender was so nice and attentive. Summer our waitress was there for every need before we even needed anything. The owner Donal stopped by the table to let us know all of the specials. I was there with a group of 10 people and they made us all feel so welcome.

The food is amazing! I had the Shepard’s pie, Brussels sprouts, and the dry rub wings! Everything was amazing, and the food came quickly. Great atmosphere! I will definitely come again!!!!

Busy night, no reservations so happy they found us a table for five. Service was good. Food (shepherds pie) OK. A bit parsinimous on the portions, and my friends noticed the dish I was served was about 2/3rds the size of two other orders of the same. Which is funny, since Im a big guy dining with four women. A traditional Irish pub, at the crux of Meatpacking and Greenwich Village, good beers on tap and fast service. The venue has several rooms for private parties and a lively bar scene. Although the photos in the back area of previous patrons is a little interesting, it is an enjoyable space and a great place to start an evening!

This is like your friendly neighbor Irish bar-ish restaurant serving some comfort food. We went on a frigid winter Sunday for brunch.My friend thought to introduce me to something in the West Village below 17th Street. The wood interior with tables and banquette lends to the pub like atmosphere but it was over loud like some pub like places.We had a seat at the large comfy booth. Our server quickly greeted and handed us the menu. They had the usual suspects for brunch but what I eyed was the Fish and Chips and my friend got his usual when he comes here. The Full Irish breakfast and two Bloody Mary to start.The fish came in a nice batter that was light and crispy, not oily at all and the fries were the same. Maybe I was use to the big slab of cod that would come out but here the fish looked like it was a bit hacked and two smallish pieces that kinda looked like scraps. My friend’s Irish breakfast looked pretty good with brown bits that we had to look at the menu to figure out what it was but either way it happily satisfied him.The bright place was a good brunch place. Overall, a good pick. I’d probably be a little happier if my fish didn’t look like table scraps but it was cooked well and the meal was good. We were both happy but unhappy we had to face the cold again.

Dublin 6 is a good Irish Pub for beer drinkers. Im much more of a cocktail drinker and they dont really excel in this area. The service is great and their prices are very reasonable. The food stood out the most as it was better than average for establishments of the same type.

Truth be told, I am a bit biased b/c I have worked here for over 6 years, but I absolutely love this place! The owners and staff are beyond gracious, the food is amazing and the new decor only escalates the homey vibe of this neighborhood spot. You will be treated like part of the family. Dont take my word for it, check it out!

Delicious food wonderful service

One of my favorite bars in nyc. Good crowd and great bartenders. They have ufo on tap which is also one of my fav beers. Perfect spot for a first date or just some drinks with friends to watch the game or catch up.

We didnt have a great experience here, but to be fair, it was because of the clientele and not the staff.

Great atmosphere, fantastic food. A warm, friendly place with hearty comfort food. The drinks were delicious, and the staff was extremely courteous. Cant recommend enough.There were a lot of children here, who were a little loud. Im not sure why, because otherwise it was a very classy and adult place. But besides that, I loved all of it.

The food was pretty good. Its overpriced for what it is, but still one of the cheaper options in the area. I had the Irish style chicken curry and the portions were filling and pretty tasty. My friend was also happy with his fish and chips.

I just love this place. LOVE LOVE LOVE! It is so incredibly comfortable there. The staff has always been delightful and the food is flawless. Drinks? Impeccable! If you are in the area, or even if you are not, just GO. Im incredibly fussy about my steak and I adored their steak medallions. I cant wait to go back again!

Went here on a busy Thursday night. It’s definitely a stand not far from the bar, crowded after work type of vibe with finance bros in their vests and women who actually look great as per usual.

I enjoyed the food and ambience but the $17 cocktails were not worth it - very watered down and disappointing.

I loved the vibe at this Bar/Restaurant. The service, food and drinks were good. The only reason I gave it only four stars is that I couldnt order from the Bar Menu, even though I was sitting at the bar, until 3 P.M. It was a Saturday so you had to order from the Brunch Menu. I understand that things for brunch are already set but if they can make a Hamburger why cant they make Sliders even if its before 3P.M.? Its not a big deal in the grand scheme of things. The prices are decent. I would definitely go back but Ill make sure its after 3P.M.

I give 1 star because the waiter was awesome but... they ended up putting us right under the biggest TV they had which had a game on and the music was blasting so loud we could not talk to each other. What is family style thanksgiving when you cant even have a conversation? food was ok...the Hudson Hound was a complete disappointment for my family and ruined our thanksgiving dinner.

As someone who has been going to Hudson Hound for over 5 years, I have to say it is hands down the best bar in the City! Not only do they have a great ambience, drink selection, and incredible food, the staff is always attentive and inviting. I often frequent the bar solo, and the best word I can use to describe my experience is safe. I know the bartenders and servers always have my back, and I can be myself with having a general feel of comfort. If you haven’t checked them out – be sure to do so. They also have a killer Irish breakfast :)

Great neighborhood pub with a very good kitchen. We like the weekend brunch especially. The dining room has big windows to the street and cozy in the winter. When the good weather arrives there are a few tables outside as well. The staff has always been very friendly.

Cool atmosphere, decent bartendars depending on who you get. Overall service is a bit unknowledgeable. A woman and I had to ask three different people where the restroom was and we heard something different each time. Not sure why that was so hard. Also, a glass of Basil Hayden was $17 + tax + tip and came out to $20.50?!?! Thats half the cost of the entire bottle itself. it didnt even come with a block/cube of ice. I got the cheapo regular ice... Cmon....Place was chill, but not that chill. I left after a drink.

Wicked expensive

One of my favorite things to do in the West Village is enjoy a drink by the fire at Hudson Hound. This gastropub is so charming and cozy. The food is consistently excellent (love their turkey burger!) and the staff is always friendly and helpful. Awesome brunch too!

I love Hudson Hound. The service and selection of drinks there is great. Its especially cute during the winter time and they turn on their fireplace in the front. They also have outdoor seating for some people watching.

Took my wife and 2 young daughters here on a Saturday evening. The place was packed but we were seated right away. I also spied another family with kids among the diverse, festive crowd. This is the sort of place where everyone can blend in and enjoy themselves.As for the food, the bread pudding with caramel ice cream dessert was fantastic. Both kids got the childrens pizza which was fresh and surprisingly good. Recommended.

I went here for a Google Expert (in training) mixer.The layout was nice. They have a restaurant portion and bar portion. A wide selection of belgian beers (tap and bottle) among other types. I like Belgian beers, so I didnt look at the other ones.They also have a great selection of wines.We mainly stayed in the bar area. Which consists of a long room, with the bar. They also have a back room area with some couches and seating area. The bartender was nice and attentive. This was a Wednesday night, so other nights it might be busier.We had some hamburger sliders, which were OK. Not great, but not bad either. A little on the meaty side. The meat to bun ratio was not perfect. But, it was not a deal break.Music was not obnoxiously loud and they had one TV screen in the corner.

Dublin 6 is a great Irish pub in the West Village. Staff couldnt be friendlier or more accommodating. Beers on draught are pretty standard though there is a more interesting selection by the bottle. Food is better than average for the genre, but thats not saying much. Come here to enjoy a beer (or three) with friends — happy hour prices are pretty decent. Snag a seat on the patio in warmer months.

The food is delicious and there is a lot to chose from. Plenty of vegetarian options if you want that. The brunch drinks and food and decently priced. Compared to the line next door and at other places near by this place is under rated. Give it a try. HH Benedict and the Dogs Hair are two dishes I recommend.

Came here for a Google+ Local Mixer. Dublin 6 is a Irish pub divided into two areas. A dining area and a bar area. The Mixer was set up near the bar side. It was a cozy little spot. Drinks were mixed good and those sliders were delicious. It wasnt crazy loud and they had one TV set up.

Update: Dublin 6 has AMAZING sliders. Order them, now. It has a classier pub feel, with VERY delicious cocktails, rotating seasonally.. They have a great beer selection, but the mixed drinks take the cake.Seems like a good date venue, too, and Ill definitely return.

This is an incredibly accommodating business and a restful location for that early evening glass of Gin or Cognac on the rocks. Spacious but, doesnt leave patrons so far apart not to engage in conversation. Sliders are great, the hummus and toast was very tasty — worth a visit, bring a good friend.

I was here for the Google Experts in Training program. It was the best place to ever party at! The sliders was awesome and the drinks were worth waiting for. All staff members were great. I fell in love with not only the atmosphere but the delicious food, strong drinks and welcoming staff. The dim lit room is set with candles that create a great date night ambiance while still being a hip place to hang out with your friends. The Music on Friday and Saturday night always set the tone for dancing, singing and just an all around good time. I recommend D6 to anyone who is visiting as well as people who live/work/play around the West Village.

Loved this bar as D6, it has beyond amazed me as the Hudson Hound. Food is amazing, staff is superb. Do yourself a favor and get here....oh and order the fire and smoke cocktail, you wont regret it!

They make a GREAT dirty Martini in a nice large goblet for a great price in NYC. Their food is very good I got the veggie burger which was tasty but the fries were definitely the best part. A great spot for a good drink and food before a show or a night on the town.

Great Irish Pub in the West Village. Attended a Google City Experts *in training* event and had a pint with a great group of people. Cavernous space, great for happy hour or company events. Good selection of beers on tap or in the bottle. Pub food faire. The sliders were especially good. Try Dublin 6 if youre in the neighborhood.

Came here for brunch two weekends ago and managed to get seat in the window, perfect for a little West Village people watching on a Sunny Sunday. Had the burger which I thought was great value for money and very tasty too. My friend had the tuna tartar which she would recommend. The service was quick and the staff very friendly, the bar offers an excellent Guinness for anyone who appreciates a good pint, the Irish bartender Phil knew exactly how to pour it!

I went to an event at Dublin 6! It was an open bar event and we had this nice open space in the back. It wasnt a huge size but it was big enough to fit about 50 people in there and it looked nice a full. I really enjoyed that it looked like a classy pub. They had great drinks and these great cheese burger sliders.The place and the bathrooms were really clean. Usually when I go to bars that is the one part that I hare the most. I hate that bars have yucky bathrooms. So I was happy when I went to this place and saw they were so clean!

Great spot for drinks and cocktails with a cozy private room in the back that has bar access. Very friendly service and fun atmosphere, perfect location in the west village too!

Nice bar thats not too loud so you can still talk to people. They have a decent semi-private area in the back that can be reserved for groups.Mojito are also great here!

Good Irish/American pub. Had the fish tacos. Beer battered cod. Pretty good.

Best food, you have to come here! Try the rotisserie chicken with baby kale salad, so good. And the desserts are AMAZING!

Decent is the right word, nothing too special or exciting or fancy, but not bad either. A steady okay.
