Izalco Bar NYC

Izalco Bar is a hidden gem! Everything from the service to the food is 10/10. They have the best pupusas in the city!! My favorite one is the queso con loroco. Their salsa is also sooo good and authentic!

Love this place! Fantastic pupusas! House made tortilla chips. Excellent guacamole and salsa. And the family who owns it are lovely. *You could easily miss it though - it’s inside the MY NY Bakery Cafe*

The only time i got to enjoy pupusas was when I went to IKEA in Brooklyn and ordered off a truck nearby a park. Its suprising that the pupusa hasnt blown up on social media but that might be due to lack of options. This bakery turned bar gives surfer vibes and is great for any first date or Friday after work. So glad the neighborhood has a pupusa spot. Try all of them!!

Great local place for drinks and pupusas! The bartender is super nice, and the other guests are usually locals. The pupusas are delicious and the service impeccable. They oftentimes have special events or live music.

Went on a Friday night - food was amazing - owner was there managing excellent service and guiding on menu. Great spot we will be back.

NY is known for their hidden gems and this restaurant is certainly one of them. During the day, it is a bakery and then after 5pm, they open into a bar serving wine, beer, and the best part.....PUPUSAS!!!! Cheesy, gooey delicious pupusas with home made salsa y cortido! A must try as this is the only place to find pupusas in all of manhattan!

Caught the jazz quartet there and had dinner. This place is one of those hidden hole in the wall NYC gems. And yes, its the same location as MYNY bakery.

I’ve been coming to my ny bakery for years and was delighted to discover that they’ve expanded to evening hours with pupusas and drinks!! I finally no longer have to travel to queens to satisfy my pupusa cravings!! Great service and tasty snacks, highly recommend!
