Great restaurant & bar with awesome tapas. The prices for drinks are unbeatable, especially during happy hours from 4-7 PM. Tables are available outside and inside and Stas provided us with fantastic service. We‘ll visit this place again for sure.

Amazing food! Amazing service from Stas (our waiter). He got us this pitcher of a drink he made up for our kids and they LOVED it! Super refreshing! Definitely recommend Kana!

I recently visited a bar in Soho and had a fantastic experience. The staff was truly awesome, providing exceptional service with a friendly and welcoming attitude.The atmosphere was vibrant, the drinks were top-notch, and I cant wait to go back for another enjoyable evening.Highly recommended!

Bartender with POOR social skills! He offered my friends free shots, however when my friend was going to drink hers he took it out her hands and CRUSHED the shot cup. He said she didn’t “deserve” it because she was being rude by being on her phone. At another point her gave us the middle finger with BOTH of his hand and when asked why he said this is how we celebrate birthdays. Clearly he has no social awareness or respect. BEWARE!

It is not what it was. I used to frequent that location about 10 years ago.I remember that it was a restaurant and then around 11 PM They start removing the table to make room for the dance floor. At that moment, the place was already packed. Remembering what a good times we used to have there. We went back last week at the usual time, 11 PM, And the place was almost empty. We end up leaving at 11:30 to go to a different place.Although I have say the bartender and all the staff were what really nice.

This place lowkey has the best aperol spritz in new york city… happy hour is banging, and so is our server, Stas. def recommend stopping by and getting a drink here, especially when you can sit outside and enjoy the beautiful weather.

My bartender Stas was very accommodating and he made me a unique cocktail based on my preferences . He’s super easy and fun to talk to . I’ll definitely be coming back.

To get straight to the point, the food was absolutely amazing as well as the atmosphere. My Barista was very attentive & great at his craft. The music was on point & had everyone dancing like it was no tomorrow. I will definitely be back very very soon. Also, I can’t wait to try those long awaited Kana-Ice’s. Thank you so much for the great experience.

Excellent place. Wow the appetizers were really good, croquetas were my favorite, we ordered almost all of them, and the sangria was good too.

It’s a whole in the wall dirty small over priced drinks and the manager is definitely on drugs he was tweaking all night can’t stay still. The food is coming from a basement the service is terrible. The place is small as hell one entrance one exit. It’s a fire hazard another’s happy land waiting to happen. The place is dead all day it should be shut down

I visited Kana Soho Bar and Restaurant last night, expecting a relaxed and enjoyable evening, but what I witnessed instead was incredibly unsettling. One of the bartenders displayed shockingly unprofessional behavior toward a young woman and her group of friends, turning what should have been a fun night out into an uncomfortable and even hostile experience.The bartender’s treatment of the group was dismissive and rude from the start, escalating to a point where he threw liquid at them. His actions crossed the line into harassment, creating an atmosphere of tension and unease not only for the group but for everyone nearby. This kind of conduct is completely unacceptable and goes against the standards one would expect from a reputable establishment.To make matters worse, it was the security staff—not the bartender—who stepped in and excused the behavior. While I appreciated the effort, it felt misplaced, as the responsibility and apology should have come directly from the bartender or management. Security shouldn’t have to shoulder the burden of damage control for such unprofessional behavior.This experience has left me questioning the integrity and management of Kana Soho. The bartender’s hostility and the lack of immediate accountability disrupted the evening and tarnished the establishment’s reputation. I hope management addresses this incident seriously to ensure all patrons feel safe and respected in the future.

I order a salmon, it was awesome!!Such a great flavor, mash potatoes delicious and, when you come make sure stas is the one to help you, the service is 100/10

Great little place. We came across this place by chance and feel so lucky we did. The food was amazing, we got the chips and guacamole to start with, it was so fresh and the chips were nicely seasoned. For entrées we had the quesadilla, the crispy chicken, and a salad. I am very picky with my crispy chicken... but this place was amazing. In addition the service was great!! Definitely recommend this place!!

Very nice, clean place. The service is excellent, and so is the food. Mauro was our server, and he was great. I would definitely recommend it. The music was also good (although the DJ likes to play Bad Bunny songs a lot).I will be back soon as I was very pleased with everything.

Not horrible but would likely not go back. Website advertises happy hour all night long. Yet our party arrived at 8:30ish and we were told we only had about 30 minutes of happy hour left.They are very skimpy with their $3 tacos. Ours were filled with tons of lettuce underneath the meat. I would rather pay full price and get a true taco. They were also not accommodating with our friend who wanted no onions on his tacos. Instead he had to order something else. The place is nice and had good music but there is huge room for improvement in their advertising and customer service.

Upgraded from a few years back, with great Spanish tapas, and decent Red Sangria, this place is a 11pm and after stop over to enjoy Spanish food and Latin dance.

The bartender was charging me more than normal, since I was drunk he wanted to take advantage of me and when I complained, he called the security who was racist to harass me, the security even attacked me! Very bad service, before it was good, then it became garbage. The worst experience of my life

The food is fresh and flavorful. I highly recommend the potatoes and garlic shrimps. The restaurant hosts kizomba dance lessons and night on Tuesdays from 7:00 PM, which are amazing; great ambiance and diverse crowd. However, please note that tip is automatically included in your food receipt. I dont like the fact that the tip line doesnt say additional tip. This is very misleading.

Went for bachata Tuesday. Great atmosphere. Feels very comfortable. No one is judging you, no matter what your level of dancing is. Drinks are reasonably priced for Manhattan. Food is delicious, tapas style.

Went here to meet a friend and the vibe is great. Small, like most bars in the area, great Spanish music selection, did not feel bothered or harassed by anyone and they close at 4am. Definitely go and check it out, its great!

Ive been coming to Kanas for years and it is recently under new management. I am really impressed with the renovations they have done to the place - it looks brand new! The food and cocktails are delicious and the atmosphere is always fun and inviting! A must try if you are in the city!!

Have been a fan since day one!We had the cheese plate, Jamon Serrano and the cheese empanadas (by the way they have so much cheese, so good!)Love the ambiance, such a good mix of people. Every Saturday night around 12 am the clear the tables in the back room and it turns into a late night with Spanish pop music, rock, salsa and everything youd like to hear.Always fun, I definitely recommend this place for dinner and to dance!

Bartenders were super friendly, I left my wallet there and they were helpful with finding it. The drinks are delicious and I would definitely go back.

Kañas can be a hit or miss place. Their music after 12 is always great, mostly spanish and usually very fun if you want to dance the night away. It can either get really packed or it can be empty but the crowd is usually good. Definitely bring cash much easier when the bar gets packed since it is small. Their paella is very yummy also and good to share for 2.

Yesterday was our first time and our last in this place. It was my friend’s birthday from Venezuela and we wanted to go out and dance, but Tuesday’s night DJ for bachata night is absolutley rude and terrible. He has a Russian girlfriend that seats next to him behind a laptop and they both drink all night, when someone asks for a song, they Just act super rude ‘we won’t play what you asked for, go away’ ... we were a group of 10 people and everyone left this place in a bad mood. I do not recommend this DJ or his Russian girlfriend on this night at all.

I went on a Saturday and I know they have a different lineup depending on the day of the week. They were playing a good international mix of music in Spanish including a good selection of Mexican rock. Its a tiny place and the location is just a little too far from the train in Soho. Use the coat check, they have hooks along the wall but I saw multiple issues with people moving coats or people who couldnt find their stuff so just keep it simple and pay for the coat check. :-b

Visited this place while in NYC. Omg the food and vibes were amazing. The gambas (shrimp) were so good that I had to repeat them. The servers were also great. The tapas were so good and the drinks as well.

Went there after a networking event with a party of 11. Staff treated us great, quick with the food and even sent over a round of shots. The vibe of the place always good and the food was great, all except the pizza. That was a soggy, melty mess. We ate so fast there was no tome for photos.

The restaurant wasn’t busy at all when we arrived and we asked to be seated outside. The server was kind but when taking my order, everything went awry. I asked for 3 carne asada tacos. I specified that I have a serious seafood allergy. I don’t think he quite understood, which is fine, but then I specified again that I’d like 3 carne asada tacos. My friend had asked for two carne and one chicken, but then the server said it was a choice of one meat. My friend then just asked for three chicken. I thought it would all be good. Upon him arriving with our food, my friend got her order right but to my surprise I got one chicken, one carne and one shrimp. Immediately I told him I couldn’t eat that one because I was allergic, and instead of bringing the food back he just asked if he could comp me with a free glass of wine. I said no, as the one drink I had was my limit. I brushed it off but found that it wasn’t necessarily fair for me to have specified my answer several times and now have to pay for food I couldn’t eat. I ended up just eating the carne and chicken (which I didn’t want). My friend spoke to the server and he said he couldn’t replace my one taco, that he’d have to replace the whole order to which we questioned… well why not? In the end, I just paid for the food and tip and left feeling a bit frustrated. The guacamole and chips were good though.

First time here last night but once they moved the tables out of the way around midnight it went from a good bar to a great Rock bar!

I love dancing Kizomba on Tuesdays at the place 1st, 3rd, & 5th Tuesdaybod the month.

Dont leave a tip. Be careful, they calculate 20% tip automatically, but when they bring you the receipt to sign theres still a space to write a tip.

Went here last week, and it was pretty dead for a Saturday, because it was dead we were told to wait to see if more people came past midnight and if they did not we would get free drinks. Me & a friend waiting past 1AM and that deal never came to fruition.Music is Great though and the place has potential.....probably picked an off night.

Great bar in SoHo! It was a slow Wednesday night and we were attended really well by the bartender. The Sangria Real which is made with champagne was really delicious. The chips and guac were also made fresh and hot, a must try. Sucks we missed out on a Fri/Sat when it gets more hype but even on a slow day the vibe was super chill and great music playing - even honoring song requests!

I was sunbathing at Pier 26 and decided to treat myself to dinner when I stumbled upon this gem. It was the vibrant swanky energy needed to cap off my self care day. I ordered the Camarones and filet mignon sandwich. This was a solo date but I def will be coming again- most likely with a date. Edited to add the fact that Mateo, waiter and bar tender was really nice and good. He deserves all the stars!

An “alright” hidden bar. Not much inside and not many people. Good to pregame to go to a more popular club. Nice Latin music but not to spend the night their. A plus the location is quite scary.

The place was quite small but played really good music and the crowds energy was pretty chill and fun.Except for this trans woman who for some reason had a problem with me and decided to put ALL OF HER WEIGHT on me purposely while I waited at the bar for drinks. I totally understand much personal space isn’t something reasonable to expect when out clubbing or at bars but she blatantly used her entire body weight to cause me discomfort. She was much larger than me and had no reason to do that to me. I didn’t even notice/interact with her before she disrespected my person. I will admit in that moment I was a bit intimidated by how much larger she was than me and based on past experiences I’ve had with people who don’t respect my body. I tried pushing her off me but her big self wouldn’t move. Her friend kept looking at me like she was worried and uncomfortable for me. I didn’t want this antagonizer to react crazy resulting in a scene, so I got away and let it go once I bought a bottle and was moved to a table.The bartenders and staff were kind. The bartenders ran out of proper shot glasses and started selling these small 1oz pours for the same price... not cool. Seems like they are okay with cheating their customers because I confronted a bartender about the shot not being enough and he lied to me saying a shot is 1oz which is not true! What I was buying there prior was 1.5oz if not more. I’d still give this place one more shot.

I really enjoy this place. Their food is amazing. Especially, the empanadas. Their drinks are great too. At night they offer a nice party with nice mixed music were you can dance and have a great time. I wish they could have more bathrooms because sometimes it get a big line. Overall they have a great place, music and service. I highly recommend it for celebrations and birthdays!

Sat at the bar for a sandwich and beer during happy hour. Restaurant was empty. Bartender ignored me. Beer tap was skunked on brooklyn lager, changed to bottled modelo. Carnitas tortas was ok. Sandwich $19, beer $7, bill came out $35. Given attitude when I asked if i was accidentally charged for something else. Bartender who ignored me charged 20% gratuity after ignoring me sitting alone in bar without informing me. Card reader asks “how is service” and prompts another 18% gratiuty on top of the 20% already charged. Shady business at best.

I went there with friends a couple of months ago and the music was great but it seems that they changed the dj so now its only regueton, he was apologizing everytime he switched to a different type of music. I like regueton but went there to dance all the Latin music.

The bartenders love to OVERCHARGE. (This happened more than once to me here). I opened a tab and was CHARGED FOR DRINKS I NEVER HAD and a tip of 40% (not kidding) was INCLUDED. The music was all from the 80-90s. If you are into any, or both, of the above. Go for it, otherwise consider another spot. Perhaps Gonzalez & Gonzalez.
