For 6 drinks and 2 appetizers, the total came out to be $191.00. Throughout the evening, our server consistently encouraged us to order more items and brought additional food to our table. When I attempted to settle the bill and leave, the server displayed visible dissatisfaction. I felt that the establishment was overly focused on maximizing revenue. I would advise others to explore alternative options. Notably, I was not informed about the specific drinks I was being served, and I had simply requested a basic margarita without any additional ingredients. Fortunately, I decided to leave and avoid any further unnecessary expenses

I genuinely have no clue how this place is rated so highly 😂The ambiance is cute but the wings are absolute trash & heads up, paired with sour cream. I’m a huge fan of the stuff so no complaints from me there. But the celery & carrots were the best part of the spicy wings dish. (You can see on the tissue that I didn’t finish the ONE wing I hadThe guacamole is a rip off, over salty & could use cilantro.Maybe I just had an off bartender but having worked behind the bar some time, the service wasn’t that great.All in all, please go elsewhere. But this place is something you should experience yourself.

This hibiscus drink was soooo good. My guest had a classic margarita that he also enjoyed. The music, staff & ambiance was a vibeeeeeeeUpdate: had to come back to give them that 5th star! I returned a month later and was serviced by Harry who was so attentive, pleasurable, and accommodating. The food was amazingggg & a lot of their food options are homemade… you should go. Lol

Update in 2024: Please hire the good bartenders and chefs back. If you’re going to charge prices for food, make it worth it. I love the ambience (music, decor, layout, vibe) but that’s about it right now.To be clear, I do not want skimpy, basic tacos or entrees. I do not want unseasoned sides. 🫤 I’ll try again in a few months.——2023: La Diagonal is fierce with amazing drinks and food 🌮🌮🌮. If you ever need help, ask for Hector! He does an amazing job as a seasoned mixologist. I’m never disappointed when he is pouring. Everyone that I meet here always says that Hector is their favorite person here. I live in the hood and I wanted to try this place. It is way better than beyond my expectations. We ordered a steak fajitas and shrimp tacos and some margaritas. They served it really fast and both were super delicious and filling. Strongly recommend it.

This place was kind of disappointing. It was cute, but the food wasn’t great. The steak was so chewy, dry and over cooked. The tacos needed some seasonings. I ended up asking for the sauce from the fish tacos to eat with my steak quesadilla . It was also very over priced. I spent $15 on the smallest quesadilla ever. The fish tacos my friend ordered were better. Overall I wasn’t impressed.

This is a beautiful place. We been there Sunday night. It was not busy so we take a table fast. Food was good and margaritas was taste. Service was fast.

Tacos (both fish and shrimp) were delicious and the margaritas were strong 💪 would love to come back and try some of their other food! The staff was also really nice and attentive and brought out a water bowl for our dog. Definitely recommended!

Fish tacos were out of this world! So good! And their Oaxaca Old Fashion was delicious and refreshing! I definitely plan on coming back here again and trying out the rest of the menu.

La Diagonal has a nice atmosphere, tasty food, and excellent service.For my starter (and then again my finisher...) I had guacamole and chips. Served warm, the chips paired very well with the tasty guacamole.For my main, I had two camarones tacos and two steak tacos. The camarones tacos left a little to be desired - they lacked flavor. The steak tacos on the other hand were juicy and delicious.For my cocktail, I had a Mayan summer. It was one of the most delicious cocktails I’ve ever had. In fact, it was so nice I had to do it twice!This is a nice Mexican neighborhood spot and I really hope that it sticks around.

Place looks great and the Staff was friendly. Maybe I would need to go back for dinner during the weekend because the items I see in the pictures of the menu, were not in the menu that we saw.We had the tuna tartare and the crab guacamole. Both have guac, so, I wouldn’t recommend getting both of them. I preferred the crab one, but my boyfriend liked the tuna best. We also shared the fajitas, but I feel like the ratio between peppers and onions vs meat wasn’t great.Overall food was good.

Came for brunch on a saturday and it was not busy. really nice ‘outdoor’ seating that protects from elements. (except flies today hehe) steak tacos were standard and overpriced. despite waiting a bit for things to arrive, the chilaquiles and the carnitas hash were PHENOMENAL. will definitely be back for those and the $24 sangria brunch pitcher!EDIT: came back for the same, but this time had the guac instead of the tacos and it was very good!

Everything I got here was amazing. The decor is beautiful, drinks were on point, service was A1. I’ll definitely be back with a few friends next time.

From the very start, everything was off. First of all, there’s no AC and it’s 90 degrees outside, but the reviews were good so I just sucked it up and ordered. We ordered off the brunch menus we were given but were told that what was printed wasn’t actually what we were going to get (two tacos not three and you can’t add chicken to the chilaquiles even though it’s listed lol). Whatever, we ordered anyhow. The tacos were fine but they got my chilaquiles order wrong (I asked for no dairy) and then took another 30 minutes to send out a replacement. The picture is what I received. There’s no sauce to be seen. Essentially, bone dry nachos with eggs plopped on top. I didn’t eat this but paid for it anyhow. I should have asked it to be removed but I was so annoyed I just wanted to leave. I will never be back to this restaurant.

Didn’t have the opportunity to try the food because we came late, but love the ambience and the drink.Definitely coming back for food.

Came here on Christmas day when other places were closed. Great choice! Great drinks and quality food. I ordered the grilled octopus and it was amazing. This is a dish difficult to get right. It was soft but not overcooked with great seasoning. I recommend this little corner jewel in Harlem.

A wonderful gem. I think post-pandemic atmosphere has made this spot even more beautiful! The indoor space blends right into the outdoor terrace. Good drinks, good food.

Hidden gem in the middle of west Harlem. Drinks were great (had the spicy version of the reposado margarita) and the ceviche mixto is not to miss with generous portions of octopus fish and calamari.

Cocktails were excellent. Selection of tequilas and mezcal were pretty awesome. Not too many places have mezcal anejo and they had a few! Sidenote: I did not eat here but the food looked really good.

It was an okay experience. The guacamole starter’s portion was quite small. The Mezcal Margarita didn’t taste super fresh. The flavor of all the food felt a little bland. I found it a bit pricey for what was served.On the positive side, the restaurant’s ambiance is charming. Surprisingly, despite its spacious seating, it was mostly empty. The choice of music—blasting top pop—was a tad off for my taste. Some adjustments could enhance the overall experience.The staff was lovely when I was there though!

Beautiful place and great service until you ask for the “special” as your meal. The steak smelled and shrimp looked like it was made of rubber and despair. Once I looked at it and smelled it- without tasting it, I immediately sent it back and asked for the check. Our happy hour drinks magically became full priced. Never again but appreciative that we did not experience a vicious round of food poisoning.

Friendly and welcoming staff. Kitchen open late to 11:30pm or so. They have a midnight happy hour. Wings were delicious, and the mezcal mule was superb. Nicely decorated interior with good vibes.

La Diagonal employs tactics like charging $7 for still water when any other restaurant in NYC gives you tap water when you order still. Food and drinks are good but don’t make up for the service.

I LOVE this place. Ive come here a few times now and havent been disappointed.Ive tried all of their frozen margaritas and the coconut and mango are my two favorites. Their other drinks are good as well but Im partial to frozen cocktails so thats what I usually order.Food wise Ive had the chips and guacamole (9/10), choriqueso (9/10) and the churros (6/10).The place next door usually plays music so its a great ambiance too.Will definitely be back.

Food and margs were great, service was great...It deserves a 5 star in that regard. However, we asked if they had chips and salsa, which isnt on the menu. They said that was fine, they could do it and charge us appropriately. They gave us chips and essentially enchilada sauce, it definitely wasnt salsa. We told them it wasnt that great and they brought out a spicier version, which was better, but is still wasnt good nor was it salsa. If you dont have salsa, just say so. Dont tell us you can do it when you cant. So I have to take away one star, but otherwise a great place!

The food is a bit pricey but, it is delicious so I dont complain. The brunch is great and so is dinner. They could work on their Happy Hour offerings and pricing. I will probably not frequent this place as much as my other more reasonably priced faves in Harlem but, I will be back occasionally.

After a ridiculous wait at The Cecil Steakhouse, we went to have dinner at La Diagonal. We were greeted and seated right away. Our food order was quickly taken and within 15 minutes we were eating delicious crab guacamole. The ambiance was great. They were busy but able to effectively manage the patrons. I was super satisfied with our meal (the ceviche and the skirt steak is delicious), the drinks, and the service.

It was fine. Service was pleasant, food tasty, nice environment. Three tacos in a taco plate, totally reasonable. Spicy margarita was only spicy due to the ancho chile on the rim. Expensive and not that much tequila. Overall wouldnt recommend, not because its bad but for the cost you can get more for less. Youre paying for environment which is pleasant but somewhat generic. Four stars because the food and service were decent. Personal preference, not my jam.

We had such a lovely evening at La Diagonal. The ambiance and music was just right, but what really stood out was Vincents incredible care of us, making sure everything was perfect, especially our coffee, which we both absolutely loved. Vincents warm and attentive nature made the night even more special!

I went here with my friend to meet up and have girls talk and decompress... I truly loved the quiet and intimate indoor ambiance... The waiters were also VERY attentive and the food and margaritas were the icing on the overall experience!!! Delish!!! This restaurant scammed my in-laws.My in-laws bought my husband and I a gift certificate to this restaurant because they knew it was one of our favorites in the neighborhood. The restaurant did not tell my in-laws that the gift certificate expired in ONE MONTH - what kind of gift certificate has a one month expiration date? They scammed my in-laws out of $50, took their $50 and refused to honor the gift certificate. The manager actually laughed at me while talking to me. The intention of a one month expiration date in a gift card is clearly to scam people. We will never be back, and I encourage you to buy your over-priced cocktails elsewhere. Row House has cocktails that are just as good and much friendlier and more honest management!

We wanted to like this place - wed love for there to be a good Mexican in the neighborhood and it has a nice location and atmosphere. And the drinks are good, as is the service. But the steak and pork tacos - we had one plate of four each - were disappointing. Kind of dry and not offered with any kind of extra salsas, not to mention rice, beans or any kind of side. Frankly not cheap for what they were. Perhaps Im spoiled by having Los Tacos No. 1 near my office, but these didnt hold a candle to those.

A beautiful space with really good food. The servers are professional and the bar tenders make very well done cocktails. The food is tastefully done and the menu provides a diverse set of options boty for brunch and dinner. La Diagonal provides one of the more complete dining experience for the area. Due note that dish sizes are somewhat small so may want to consider ordering several items if you have a larger appetite.

Very overpriced and poorly organized. Took us 15 min to get our first drinks and two separate times we got the wrong food. The food was very good to be fair, but the portions were way too small for the price. We spent $30 per person just on food and were still hungry when we left. Not worth it.

Never again. Enjoyed dining here since it’s inception. Today completely different experience.While one of only 2 other parties for an early brunch, the server insisted he couldn’t seat us in the corner table we requested because it was set for 4. We took the hi-top for two even though it was in a not so desirable section. When our food arrived, he decided to pull up a second table because “the table was too small for the food”. So we ended up sitting in a cold section, with a stench at a table for 4 in the end.The sausage links we requested turned out to be minced chorizo. We were clearly asked if they were links and were told yes. Lastly, the tea selection was not one we wanted. We asked if it was ok to use our own and he brought hot water. When the check arrived, we were charged $6 for the hot water. He tried to later explain it’s like “bringing your own wine”. Nice try, but corkage fees do not charge you for the bottle of wine.Again - never again. There’s clearly a change in direction.

The food was overpriced and the service was very poor. The lady that served my table informed us that happy hour was taking place with $4 beer. She did not come back to the table to offer refills during the happy hour. Instead she waited 15 minutes after drinks on the table were finished and 5 minutes past 7 and reminded that prices had doubled by this time. The place was not busy but the wait between her presence was long. Once the bill came there were a few pricing mistakes. First was the happy hour beer price was $5 and not the initial stated $4 for which she denied her mistake. Second was the rice and beans which were $6 on the menu but $7 on the bill, if there was not for the menu she would have stood there and lied again about pricing. So I truest will not eat here again and neither will anyone I know after I inform them.

I came here for brunch on a Sunday afternoon. Not very crowded, I was given the option to seat wherever I wanted :) There was some ambiance music, but not very loud so it is a great place to meet with friends and chat. I had the crab guacamole for appetizer.. I had never heard of that, but the combination is actually very good. Huevos rancheros for main dish were also very good and real Mexican style. The drinks are excellent, I think I had too many, just to try ;) Passion margarita and coconut margarita were my favorite.

This is such a cute place for a late night date night. My date and I actually stumbled on this place and we don’t regret staying!! The ambiance is so chill and the Manager Polo took time out to teach us about the different types of Mexican rums, vodkas etc. and recommended the “Side Car” (took mine with dark liquor) and “Mayan Summer.”The food was freshly made and was very delicious we had fish tacos, grilled octopus, shrimp quesadillas, tres leches, yucca fries.The process was reasonable for each portion size and the drinks were great they aren’t stingy with the liquor nothing watered down.I’d definitely recommend going here and I’m surely going back soon!!

I will be fare to give La Diagonal Agaveria three stars. The food was delicious, and the suggested cocktail drink was an excellent choice from the waitress. However, La Diagonal lacks hospitality service. It took them nearly 10 minutes for my guest and I to get water. They barely ask if we were okay. Throughout time we were there; we had to devour our appetizers because our main course came right behind our first course. Overall the service was unpleasant.

Nice little restaurant with comfy patio seating. Make sure you have. Your QR code scanner downloaded before you get there so that you can download their menu and start your order. Food comes quickly and is adequate for the price. Stools are high on some tables so didnt need any booster seats for my daughters.

Absolutely loved everything about this place. Service was friendly. The decor is just great, and the food was exceptional. Came here for brunch and started with the tortilla soup which was perfect for a cold day. Then the steak and eggs were cooked perfectly. I do recommend the boozy brunch option for the extra $15. Great food. Went here on a whim for brunch because another brunch spot I wanted to check out was packed. My sister and I walked passed, then walked back and decided to give it a try. Was not disappointed. Walked out out happy and full. Drinks were great and strong. In all it was great authentic mexican cuisine.

Tacos are a little expensive but was indeed delicious.The guac was fresh but maybe needed a little lime. The chips were excellent, long and great for scooping the guac. Had a Dos Equis to wash it down.It’s a beautiful venue and service was prompt.

Unfortunately we got the worst service. On top of it the server added an extra item to the bill and tried to convince me that we had the item. Deserves no ethical respect. Food was mediocre, drinks were ok, ambience was nice.

Costumer service was poor, probably the worst handling of a mistake I’ve encountered as someone who also works in the service and hospitality industry. I ordered for delivery and when I received it My order was messed up. I didnt receive two items. When I called to speak with them about it, the manager, instead of correcting the mistake and sending the missing items or figuring out a way to order something else and add an extra item as a way to make up for the mistake the manager gave me an ultimatum of going to pick up my missing items myself or simply giving me credit. There was no sign of trying to make up for the mistake nor was there ever an apology.I’ve ordered from them twice before; the first time was great — the margarita was amazing and the plantains too — the second time was all right — margarita was still amazing but the plantains arrived cold and not as tasty as the first time. This third time plantains were cold and not cooked all the way, margaritas never came and the only salvageable thing was the tres leches.

Great cocktails, especially with mezcal. I love the little balcony area for two tops and the big windows lined with succulents. It has a real Mexican bar feel, not one ounce of cheesiness.

The bar and restaurant was so hip and trendy. The place had a great ambiance and decor was beautiful. The cocktails were amazing and the Mexican food was outstanding. I had a fresh carrot and agave margarita, guacamole, camarones en chipotle. This is a great place to chill and eat. The menu is also affordable. A must visit. Will definitely be going back here.

Good food, good portions, great service! Tasty tequila and margaritas.

We tried the Habanero salsa, Queso Fundido and fish tacos. The dishes are on the pricey side, but were not disappointing with respect to taste or presentation. It would have been nice if the tortilla chips were either a slightly more generous portion or chip refills were offered. Cocktails are typical prices for NYC, ~$15; however they specialize in tequila and have an extensive menu of tequila and mezcal. Our server seemed knowledgeable and gave us helpful advice when we asked for suggestions. One of the charms of La Diagonal is its unusual triangle footprint with big windows on two sides.

We arrived at 9 pm and waited nearly 40 minutes to get our main food order taken despite ASKING the waitress, Isabelle, to take our order. We were informed 30 minutes after we ordered that the kitchen was closed. Management did not offer a discount but instead tried to give us HALF filled shots of some drink as a replacement for not providing us food. Poor management.

Love that I found a place that specializes in Mezcal. Lets start with that and thats the main reason for the 3 stars. In my mind I wanted it to be a 5 star place but there are things that clearly prevent from being so such as: 1. if you order a quesadilla it wont come with the guacamole, pico de gallo, or sour cream. Everything is an add-on so clearly not run by well informed individuals that are familiar with Mexican cuisine (which I wish it was). Thats just petty 2. Happy hour is only provided to you if you sit at the bar or community table even though I went in there with my daughter when it was empty and chose to sit at a table. 3. Everything is way over-priced except for the drinks. Youre going to pay $16 for 2 tacos that arent that great. 3. Music was horrible and manager / owner / deaf guy kept changing the music 10 seconds into each song. Clueless.If you want to experience some wonderfully crafted mezcal / tequila drinks and are willing to pay standard high-end NYC prices then this is the place for you. They are great. Will they treat you like a friend, hmmm? Depends on the night. There are a couple of great bartenders who will take care of you if they dont start putting the seats up just before midnight.Oh Diagonal Agaveria - make yourself the 5 star place you deserve to be. Ill be there every night and tell the world.

I originally thought this place offered drinks and small plates, I was mistaken, its a full on restaurant. I did not want to write a review about this place, I wanted to be selfish and keep this restaurant all to myself. But this place is consistently good, they deserve to be well known. In a week, I went there 3 times and the food was consistent. These are some of the plates that linger in my memory: The ceviche, tuna tartare, the queso fundido with chorizo, carne asada, and branzino a la brasa. Leave room for an order of churros!

We really enjoyed the ambiance of this place after a long day of sightseeing. The tacos are delicious as are the beans and rice. The flan was superb. It was busy on a Friday night, but service was still prompt and friendly.

This is my 2nd time at this restaurant and overall both times service was not good AT ALL. But today was a horrible experience my friend was drinking her margarita when she noticed there was a BUG inside her drink, we barely got an apology as the bill came I thought to make it up a free drink but instead we were charged for the drink and requested to speak with manager who did not speak with us because he was in a “meeting” and the server just second voiced and said that he can’t remove drink for bill.

Went for Sunday Brunch. Try the Spring Empanadas!!! Incredible, Tasty, Filling. The Bloody Maria/Casuelita & the Horchata I strongly recommend based on various preferences. Finally the Fish tacos. Awesome experience, Dope/Friendly staff... #MORELIFE

We arrived at 9:15pm. They took forever to take our order. We ordered food before 10pm and then were told 20 mins later that the kitchen was closed and that we wouldnt be getting our food. They gave us shots that we didnt want to make up for it.

My boyfriend & I celebrated our second anniversary here & Id def go back. The food was good--portions are small, though, so keep that in mind when ordering--the decor is nice & the service was attentive.

A breezy open space, when the weather is nice, with lovely relaxed vibe. The selection of tequilas and mezcals should stand up to even a fairly high end connoisseur. The ceviche, and enchiladas were excellent as well. There is no excuse for leaving hungry. The staff was very accommodating for a request too change an ingredient.

Very cool fancy Mexican restaurant. The mixed drinks are really great but pricey. Can be cute and cozy on a week night, but can be too loud and crowded on the weekend.

Before the pandemic, this was a genuinely good neighborhood Mexican restaurant. I’m wondering if the restaurant sold since, because none of the familiar faces are there anymore.On my most recent visit, on the menu, they say they use Hornitos tequila in their homemade margaritas. When the bartender was making my margarita, I noticed it was a bottle with no label on it. Not a good sign. It tasted Ok, but I don’t think I was drinking Hornitos. When I was asked if I wanted anything on the menu, I said I’d like to order the guacamole and chips. I was incredulous when they said they didn’t have it this particular evening. I was starting to become uneasy, because I noticed several patrons getting up from their tables to either flag down their waiter or go directly to the bar to order another drink. It also seemed the person in charge was also the chef and running the kitchen, while running the front of the house too. I was hungry so I decided to try their pulpo (octopus) appetizer. After waiting 40 minutes it finally came out. It was a very generous portion, definitely an appetizer for two, but was completely bland and seemed no attention had been given to seasoning. It was quite tender though.I’ll leave some other particulars out. This restaurant itself is very inviting and has a very comfortable interior. I hope they can recreate what they had before the pandemic and match the interior with their food and service.

Always good food and very attentive service. We got married here and have been coming ever since. No better Mexican place in Harlem.

They ran out of chicken and the steak tacos were cold.

Fresh and flavorful food. The fish in the pescado taco was fried to perfection. Margaritas on the rock are the way to start your evening. Service was quite slow.

I went with my husband and son for a brunch last Sunday I was very impressed of the server who was dealing with a lot of people He welcomes us with a smile the name of the server was Adrian ,the food is very good the drinks are very tasty I will definitely recommend this place .

They forgot my meal and we had to ask for a ginger ale 3x before we finally got it. The food and drinks were ok. The frozen margaritas were really frothy.

Excellent service. I love going here on down times, since its so chill and the staff is so friendly. Cocktails were perfectly measured. The tuna tartare was overcooked in acid and chunky, not ground; this is why I knocked this down a star.

My boyfriend and I went to celebrate a small success I had yesterday. We had the tuna tartare, the melted cheese with chorizo and some margaritas. The food was incredible, the margaritas as well. We also tried the tacos and an enchilada some months ago when we went there to have dinner and they were delicious as well. so, the food and cocktails are really 5 stars! The place is beautiful and very cozy. The only reason that I give 4 starts for atmosphere is that the music is very loud, so it is difficult to have a conversation, but we took a table outside. And I understand that some people enjoy loud music. Also the server who worked with us directly was very nice. However, the first server, the younger one, who attended us was very unfriendly. He did not great us, just took the menus and put them on a table. I asked if we could go outside and he did not answer, just took the menus and went outside with them. And we just followed. We dont require a special attention, but this kind of attention is very unfriendly and I had a moment when I thought: we actually could go to a different place. If it was not because of that experience, I would give 5 to the place.

Food was amazing but i would not recommend coming here if you are expecting an efficient service. However the staff are accommodating and very sweet and I wish i could give the atmosphere a 10 star rating it was amazing!

Beautiful restaurant, and great service! So romantic. Calamari was delicious. The only problem is that the music was wayyyyy too loud. We couldnt stay there so long because the vibes were not matching the super loud party music. Thank you, it was overall a great experience.

Beautiful space, warm service and fresh margaritas. The happy hour chips and salsa were $12 which seems pricey, given the price of great tomatoes this time of year. We headed elsewhere for food because of that but enjoyed our time there.

Happy hour should be adjusted since it’s such a good local place. 4-8 or 5-8. That food tastes great but the ambience could be better for a lovely corner tequila spot. Need to offer better specials per night.

While on a stroll though West Harlem I came upon La Diagonal. I was attracted to it by the seemingly good lighting and chill vibes. Upon entry we were greeted by the welcoming host.Since it was a nice day we chose to sit outside where we were attended to quickly (and surprisedly not forgotten). La Diagonals menu is very appetizing. Mexican cuisine with a bit of a fusion twist. As an appetizer I had the Spicy Crab Guacuamole (they have a variety of creative Guac choices). The Gauc came out quickly and was very delicious. As an entree I ordered the Shrimp and Crab Enchiladas (pictured in my posting). It came with rice and beans and was very delicious as well. I wish they used bigger shrimp in the Enchilada.Throughout my experience the waiter was quick, kind and receptive to us. I would highly recommend La Diagonal for anyone looking for a nice and relaxed date spot or a place to grab dinner with friends. The block it is on is quiet and clean relative to restaurants on neighboring FDB or Lennox Ave.Though it was a bit pricer than I would like I would definitely go there again. La Diagonal is an up and coming Harlem gem.

Food was okay, nothing spectacular. They charged $13 extra dollars to each one of us and they handled the refund in the way that was more convenient for them. They ended up returning 75% of the money they stole and the manager is nowhere to be found.Definitely avoid or keep an eye on the bill.Would give 0/5.

Delicious Margaritas and the best veggie tacos I have ever had!

The Sunday Brunch menu was too small, and what my husband and I ordered was not very good. I didnt even eat my breakfast burrito after a few bites. Not my cup of tea, but they had a good bit of patrons, so they must have had something good to eat? We did enjoy the Plush vodka drink called Olá KB!

The quality of the food is very good although the portions are somewhat small. Drinks are very artisan with a variety of tequilas to choose from. The guacamole is amazing and the churros are crispy and warm. The chocolate dipping sauce is a plus. Check out the Taco Tuesday special when visiting Harlem.

My friends and I went to La Diagonal last evening for our annual night out. The staff was engaging and very accommodating. The food was excellent the drinks were mixed to our liking. The atmosphere is festive and inviting. Both the female staff member and our waiter made sure that we had an amazing time. We will definitely be back.

I LOVE THIS SPOT! I give them all my money every week. Ambiance is gorgeous, food is delicious! The crab guacamole, tuna tartar, octopus and the fish tacos are my favorite! Hector is the best bartender ever. He takes pride in each drink that he makes and each drink is always on point!!

We had the slowest service Ive ever had. The food was okay. We each had 4 of the margaritas, not even a buzz. 4 people was over $400. You can do way better.

Went here with fam and Eric our waiter mentioned specials that were unique (apple rosemary margarita).In addition to the unique drinks, the food was fresh. The fish tacos were fresh out of the pan and the soy sauce to compliment the taco was amazing. The chicken quesadilla had all the right “meat to veggie portions”.The atmosphere is clean and the food / service was phenomenal. I will be back!

There’s something very strange about this restaurant. The reviews are true—service is terrible unlike any restaurant I’ve been to in Harlem and the greater NYC area. There’s no shortage of workers. They all just stand around inside and do not come to your table. It took us a long time to order. All of the staff are men. I did not see any women workers. Glasses are dirty. Bathroom is a furnace. Employees do not remember orders. Food is extremely basic. Like you can literally make it at your house. In line with what everyone said, it’s overpriced and not worth it. DO NOT GO HERE!

La Diagonal is a beautiful place with amazing drinks. The food was good but a Mexican place not having rice on a Saturday wont get a perfect score from me. I gave them a 4-star because of the music selection and drinks.

Amazing place to go for food and drinks. The food is some of the best Mexican Im the area and if you like Tequila or Mezcal, youll love the drinks. The atmosphere is also great, and they offer ample indoor and outdoor seating. Anytime my wife and I want to have a night out with drinks, La Diagonal is at the top of our list.

I dont like to give bad review as restaurants try to survive but greed have limits. Just came back from this place and 2 things really hurt the experience. First I asked if they have hot sauce. They charged 3$ with no indication in the.memu for cost. Bartender remove the charge after asking why he charge. Than they put 20% tip without notify on the menu that this is their policy. I onmu ask for honesty. To sum it up: food great, atmosphere nice but cant say I go back with this attitude.

I think its suppose to be a Mexican spot but the food/ menu was far from authentic Mexican food and was a bit salty for my liking. Nonetheless its not a bad spot to have a drink. Plus the customer service was good. I had the veggie tacos and 2 Moscow miles.

Phenominal food and drinks with absolute freshest ingredients.

Food was good. But the service wasnt. We ordered multiple starters and entrees. they brought everything at once. It felt like they were rushing us out. So by the time we finished our starters our main course were cold. And we ordered stakes. Nothing worst then a cold stake. Table was over crowded with all the plates at once to the point they have to grab side table to put our food on the side. Very disappointed.

Ive attend 2 work events here and both times I was not dissapointed. The food, the service, the ambiance was soo good. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. You will love it!
