Great pub/bar ambience--black and white photos of pubs and bars of the past, green checkered table clothes, wooden tables, chairs, walls, etc.Shared the Guacamole and Salsa with chips with a friend. We questioned the thin consistency of the salsa, but it as delightfully spicy and thick enough to cover the chip. The Guacamole was, also, delicious.I had the Smash Burger. Contrary to the headline of the menu, it did not include tomato, raw onion and pickle, but the server gladly provided it when I requested it--without fuss and at no added cost. The fact that the sides (i.e. fries, onion rings, etc.) are not included was a bit of downer, but the quality and quantity of the pay-separate-for-side was well worth it especially when sharing. I had the Onion Ring & French Fry Mix...tasty--perfectly crispy on the outside fries and thick enough to have a soft center along with their Shoestring Onion Rings. To end the meal, I partook in their Key Lime Pie. So good and fresh! Amazing crumbly graham cracker crust with a firm key lime custard accompanied with a dollop of fresh, not too sweet, house made whip cream. They even made a fresh pot of decaf coffee, as opposed to saying they didnt have any.Although a bit out of my price range for my usual outings, it is the Upper East Side and it is the start of the Holiday Season, so it was worth the cost for the quality and service. I would eat hear again if budget allowed.
Randomly went to Luke’s, Johnny & Madeline were a DELIGHT and whatever they make they deserve their salary to be raised by 5* and more vacation days 🍸🍹🍷🥂
Small and Warm pub to have drinks. We also tried the Margarita flat bread and was pretty Good 😋 Cant wait to go back and try more food and drinks.
Great spot for a quick bite and drinks! Everything here is fantastic! Apps, mains, desserts - they really know what they’re doing, the beet salad with the fried goat cheese is my personal favorite. Come here for a full dinner or just to hang out and you won’t be disappointed.
Madelyn was amazing. Shes was comforting and knowledgeable. The manager Luigi controls the restaurant and keeps it running smoothly. The meatballs are amazing.
Cozy place and the food was very good! We had the Pulled Pork Sandwich and Buffalo Bacon Burguer!
Great place for Burgers &cold beer, other dishes well try next visit
A surprise like for me. Discovered this place while waiting for doctor appointment. Bartender was so friendly and efficient. Bar appetizer was just right and good.
Very fun, cool, and lively spot in the middle of the Upper East Side. I wanted to order everything on the menu - it all looked incredible. Bit pricy for a pub but the portions are very generous, which makes up for it. Highly recommend if you are in the area!
This place slaps - drinks are strong and bartender Madelyn is so hot! Amazing, hot, food and customer service is great. Great neighborhood spot for quality, inexpensive drinks! Stop by
Stumbled upon Lukes and was struck by how alive and happening it was. Johnny and Madeline were great-service is usually even better when in good company. Of course, it had an excellent selection of menu items, all of which sounded amazing, and the portions were huge, so I could understand it being a little pricier than your average pub fare. The grilled cheese with bacon was what I was in the mood for: perfect, simple.
Nice lighting/atmosphere. Service was quite friendly. Food was delicious and the two other people in my party said that they enjoyed their food too. Overall great!
Went during the week / late afternoon. Bartender and waiter were very attentive and hospitable. Other guests seem like locals: a mature, calm vibe. The bartender made our drinks flawlessly, and food could have used a little more flavor. Decent spot for a chat or quick bite if youre in the area.
This place doesnt deserve not even a star ... the manager/ owner extremely rude , I asked if I can ce seated at the table and he said No till your company is here , another person walked in regular and he nicely placed her at one table for 5 people ... I know is all about money but this is not the way to treat your customers , I ll bever go there again
More than just delicious bar food!
Cool, relaxed place for food & drinks. We were looking for a place to hang for 9 of us on a Sunday afternoon - some eating, done just drinking. Vegans in our group found suitable options and the service was very good. Nice selection of food & drinks.
I wanted a proper grilled cheese with bacon. Not some deconstruction of it. Not somewhere kids arnt allowed or is cash only or is pretentious. Just a proper grilled cheese. It was awesome. Exactly what I was looking for.I loved the service and atmosphere of the place too and everything else we had was great. Loved sitting outside.
Prices are wild for a very basic restaurant. Food was...fine but nothing to write home about. Insane that a burger is $18 then another $9 for fries or onion rings... Draft beers are $9 ($12 if you want a pint... what??) and the beer was not cold cold like you would want a beer to be. No frosted glass for bottled beers either. $75 for two people for a burger, chicken caesar salad and two beers... def made the do not go here again list. Would have loved to get some mozz sticks with the burger but $16 for mozz sticks??? These are Dom Perignon prices for PBR beer food.
Been here twice ... relaxed atmosphere if youre not in a hurry but dont expect anything fast ... Very friendly service both times we came.Tried the burger, salad, and pulled pork sandwich - all were solid but didnt stand out in any way. Id come for a beer to chill, but if looking for a meal there are much better options elsewhere.
Excellent Turkey burger! Nice service. Casual Pub vibe. Dependable and fresh.
I have been going to Luke’s for 20+ years… and it is STILL the best restaurant and bar in the upper east side. Everything on the menu is a feel good - homemade meal and i mean EVERYTHING. The owner is incredibly thoughtful and accommodating… and that goes for the entire staff. Hot take here: Luke’s burger is better than JG Melon ID PUT MY LIFE ON IT. enjoy this mainstay Haven you will not regret it and the staff will never forget you… you will be treated like family. Bon appetite
Walked in here on a packed Saturday night. The owner immediately greeted us. Frankly, I haven’t been to a restaurant with the kind of hospitality Luke’s has.Service is almost as good as the food (which, hint hint, is incredible.) if you live in the area and thought, “hm I would love a mean burger,” Lukes has got you covered. If you find yourself in the area and think “I’d love a good place to grab a bite and have a few great drinks before we hit the town,” Lukes has got you covered.Bartenders are more than welcoming as well. They recognize a regular and treat newcomers just the same.Cannot recommend Luke’s enough to a neighbor or a tourist. It feels like home regardless.
Went for before dinner drinks and the place was great. The menu looked good but was not what we were in the mood for that evening. Will definitely return there again to try the food. It is NOT wheelchair accessible that I saw from the only entrance we saw and used.
Love this place, will definitely be coming back.My only comment for management is to get the draft beers colder!
Madeline at the bar. A treasure. Food exceptional. Pricey? Yes. But worth it. Not, however, the $28 Mike Wallace meatloaf offering. Avoid at all costs post-shopping judo practice and SAT prep hordes on Saturdays at mid-day.
Lukes always hits the mark. Not only do they have delicious food, they also have impeccable service. From the wait staff, to the owner they are 5+ stars. I highly suggest ordering their burger, the cheese steak or one of their gorgeous salads . Also, they make a solid Negroni / Manhattan. Its my go to spot for eating out when Im at a loss with cravings, the atmosphere truly give you the NYC pub home youre looking for.
We where looking for a late night snack and found this cosy bar! Excellent service, great background music and one of the better burgers Ive eaten in a long time. Small menu but good options. Great dessert too! The brownie with ice cream was very yummy!
I went here with my friends and it was okay. My friends said the burger was unseasoned, and that it didnt taste good. I had the chicken parm with 3 cheese Rosati(i believe that is the name) and the 3 cheese was not good at all. Maybe its because I am not a fan of it, or never even heard about it. The chicken parm was okay though. In all, the waiters were respectful and kind, but the food was okay.
Authentic. The perfect balance of relaxed unassuming old school sophistication. If comfort food had Michelin stars, this would be it. The essence of the UES without trying. One of a kind, welcoming hospitality.
Absolutely amazing!! Had the best time with my friends last Friday. The food is delicious, and the service impeccable!
Amazing staff and food! For great price. Definitely a come back to place, great service and food is too good, and owner is very local and friendly. Should come if you can!
Great local spot. Eaten there twice in the last couple of months. Very good food and great looking menu. Lots of diverse choices.
Very surprised by all the positive reviews. No happy hour, $8 14 oz beer (really twelve since its also a short pour). Their $12 margherita flatbread was basically just cheese, worse than dollar pizza for sure. The guy next to me has a veggie burger that just had horrible undercooked globs of batter falling out of it; shared a sympathetic glance. Honestly cant believe this place is still around.
As soon as I saw that bottles of Peroni were the same price as all the craft beers ($8), I knew what I was about to put myself through. This is the type of place that would charge $17 for an adequate burger, and not even have the common courtesy to include fries. I knew all this as soon as I looked at the menu, and yet I ordered the burger - $17, adequate, no fries. I will never forgive myself. How does one bounce back from such a crushing failure in self-control?
Very good terrace!
Havent been out for at least one year. After getting vaccinated I do feel slightly less worried about Covid-19.My partner and I took a friend out who lives in Eastside Rehabilitation facility.Had a really nice time. Margaritas were tasty and got me twisted in a good way. Food was good. And the bread pudding dessert was delicious.Walk. Dont run. To Lukes on 3rd Avenue and E. 79th Street. Running can be dangerous!
One if the best places to eat on the East side. Been coming here for more years than I can remember. Friendly staff and amazing food. Everything is fresh. Great specials. A bar that kills too. Really a comfortable place for family, date or with a group of friends.
Lukes is my neighborhood favorite! the food and atmosphere are 10/10 and nothing can compare. Fish Tacos are my favorite.
Super friendly and quick service. Great food. Meatloaf was great. BBQ pulled pork sandwich was absolutely delicious. Fries were amazing as well.
Nice atmosphere and good drinks.
A little too noisy but food excellent and the service makes Lukes even better -- a neighorhood place indeed.I fully recommend it!
Back in the day this place was one of the places to go for a newly created hamburger market and Im glad to report the burger is still good but be cautious...a 16oz draft beer costs $12 which was a big surprise considering I drank 3 - I mean $36 for 3 beers at a neighborhood joint....no thanks.
The ham sandwich literally had stacks of ham within the sandwich. It also did not come with the right bread as advertised. The burger was a little flimsy, with the bun seemingly something you could get from the grocery store and throw some meat between. There was no cohesion to these meal items. The buffalo burger while medium rare as ordered was soaked in buffalo sauce which seemed amateurish. The burger also did not come with fries, which has to be ordered separately, and were not worth the price.
We stopped on a whim to eat dinner early on a Saturday evening. They had several good beers on tap, including Kolsch, Warsteiner and Capt Lawrence IPA. The glass seemed like just 12 oz, but at $4/beer, who can complain? The food was disappointing though. I had the Mike Wallace meatloaf with mashed potatoes and my wife had the shrimp and avocado salad. The portions were a little small, my mashed potatoes came out of a box and the prices where out of line. And they only accept cash - no credit cards.I think we might stop in for a beer and maybe dessert, but between the over priced food and the inconvenience of cash, we cant recommend Lukes.
$20.00 for a bourbon paper plane. You have to be kidding! No fries with a burger. Ridiculous! What a rip off. Never going back.
Best Restaurant in town by far. Owner is welcoming and friendly, the staff is diligent and precise but the best part is the food, It’s amazing, home made flavor and all ingredients are fresh and natural. This restaurant is La Crème de La Crème!
Good selection of beer. Do t leave without trying French onion soup. Decent prices, average service. Make a reservation of its a weekend.
Madelyn behind the bar is incredible. Always love the food & vibe here.
Owner is an absolute gem of a human. Not only that, but all the food is made in house and delicious! If JG is full this might be your best bet.
Great atmosphere, great service. The chili and the burger and fries were fantastic!
We were looking for a place for burgers after visiting the MET. This place fit the bill perfectly!
Good food with big portion too!!! Service is good and polite.
Amazing food services, loved their burger. Everything they have is to scale, and I promise you wont still be hungry after exiting.
Literally the worst meal I have had in NYC. Chicken was so dry it must have been cooking since the jurassic era. Mac and cheese could have come from a box - and the box would have been tastier.
Go to for happy hour on a Friday night or even the week day. Sweet Caroline is a delicious cocktail. Nachos are the bomb
Friendly watering hole with quick service and decent menu. Reminds me of Cheers as everyone knew everyone
Good hamburgers! Skip the lobster roll, is too small. Not worth it.
Fantastic neighborhood bar on the East Side. Late night find...
Luke was there checking on the customers. The food was good, and the atmosphere is nice. Next time I am in NYC I will come back.
Food was very good and the service was quick and friendly. Great place for lunch and/or a cocktail
Decent food nothing special. Attentive bartender. Prices reasonable.
I brought my parents and their friends to grab lunch here after our visit to the met and it was exactly the type of spot I was looking for. They played easy music like Train, Keane, and Bill Withers. We had club sandwiches and told stories. Emma was our server and she made sure we were well taken care of during our visit. Will definitely be back!
Sat outside for socially distant lunch. Great service. Good burger. Ill be back.
Well run family restaurant with attentive staff and excellent food. Lively bar in the evening. Clam chowder is not to be missed!
Great food...loved being able to sit outside and have lunch and a drink!
This place is excellent. Great food and service. Wonderful neighborhood place!
Good food an atmosphere, we also went for the Halloween party so much fun. 👻
Everything was perfect. I think I lost my ear buds here but the food was fantastic!
I was surprised to read some negative reviews about the owner. In my years of dining here, Ive personally witnessed his warm interactions with customers. Sure, everyone has off days, but his dedication to customer satisfaction is evident as it isn’t easy to keep a restaurant afloat for 32 years in Manhattan. My family and I love Lukes, great food & staff is friendly.
The best food around!!! Authentic and delicious!!! Definitely try the veggie burger its made in-house!!!!!!
Felt rushed. Good food though and great service!
This spot was cozy and had good music and good wait staff. However, the prices were quite high. I got Lukes ultimate flatbread and it had no taste. Truly. I paid $20 for food I had to force myself to eat because Im too shy to complain.
Great, feel! Its a place where everybody knows your name.
❤️❤️❤️ 🤤
I’m a fan of the fish tacos and the drinks. Josh is a great bartender and can make anything!
Great good. Wonderful service. We love dining there.
Small, nice place for food & drink. They put a candle on the dessert for my daughters birthday, which was nice!
Foods good, great service. Nice cold Coronas at a good price
Food is excellent and priced modestly for Manhattan ant they take credit cards
Food was great, but atmosphere is a bit loud.
Great neighborhood bar/restaurant. Good food and good atmosphere.
Good service, pricey for pub food
Always a good place, but prices are up and serving sizes(omelette) are down.
Club sandwich was dry. Burger was not good. Fries were ok. Overall overpriced.
This is your average bar/ restaurant to grab a quick bite. Unassuming a d the food is average as well. Its nothing worth going out of your way for.
Great hamburger, outside or inside dining with friendly staff.
My oldest favorite place. A true upper east side institution! Miss my old buddies from there too!
Lovely place to eat and Wonderful place to bring family or a special someone😊😊😊😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😍😍😷😎😎😎👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
I had the worst meal on my birthday. I ordered a Ceasar salad which had no dressing and was told there was an upcharge for it. My daughter had a tuna salad that was rancid and not edible. Since the waiter was so rude and and everything was extra she left it. As for my bday cake we went elsewhere to eat and have dessert. And if this experience wasnt badenough we were harrased outside by a homeless man who wouldnt leave our table.
Very good food. Nice neighborhood restaurant.
Do it! Great people, great food, great drinks... Its great
Great white ppl place
This has been a long time fave of mine. I used to live in this area (I moved about 14 blocks north) and have had many good memories here. It is a classic American bar and restaurant. Never too packed and such a chill place. Great drinks and food and always very friendly service. I dont know what it is about the antique smell in here, but it always elicits reminiscent feelings and an atmosphere of comfort. This will always be my go to spot in this neighborhood!
Good food, good drinks, great people. UES staple.
Authentic bar, good quality food available. We enjoyed the banter with a local at the bar. Good atmosphere.
Easy place to get a drink or a bite. Consistently good.
Food was great and the fastest service I have ever received. Very great, American menu which left me stuffed to the brim. Could barely walk home!5/5, will definately visit again when in New York again.
What a regret! Never been to a restaurant where our whole table (of 9) didnt like the food, and we all got something different! Service was ...fine. The food is bland and expensive
Food - amazing - try a burger!!!!!Drinks - so good. Love the glassware lolService - 100/10Prices - perfect. Not breaking the bank for an awesome hometown meal. Will frequent this place any day of the week, any time, any occasion. It is a classic.
Fun local place. Slightly overpriced for glorified pub/bar.
My name is also Luke so I gave 5 stars
The service was absolutely 5 stars, my server Maddy was super attentive and on top of it, there was also a man which I imagine is the owner or manager and he was also on top of everything with helping clear tables and checking on guests.Food - I only had the wings, and they were good. Typical bar wings, crispy and a bit spicy and served with chunky blue cheese. Not anything spectacular, but definitely enjoyable.Drinks - I started with the Frose, which Ive never had. The server described it as Rose blended with ice, and that is exactly what it was. Not my thing, but Im sure theres a crowd for it.Next I ordered the Skinny Margarita, at $14 which is not really atypical for the city, but it was really good! Not on the sweet side, which I like, you could taste mostly lime and the tequila.Overall, a great experience if you like a good bar feel even though youre not actually sitting at the bar. I will definitely be back.
In case of my visit, my friends and I hadnt made a reservation, we were just walking belong and we decided to try to get lunch. The restaurant looked empty. But the waiter wasnt friendly. So it feels like a big favor for us to get this opportunity. The food was just normal for expensive price. I guess dish serving should be better and tasteir.
Had the nicest experience outdoor dining there! There’s a tent (which was a little too closed for us) but also two tables on the sidewalk with great heaters. The server was so friendly and attentive and helpful with dietary restrictions! Highly recommend for winter 2021 dining
Best veggie burger ever---hands down. Great atmosphere and fantastic service.
One of our favorite family spots. Been going for Past 9 years. The staff is soo friendly, greet our kids by name. We love the turkey burgers, shrimp and avocado salad and the kids love the sliders, flatbread pizza and Mac and cheese. Luke’s was our first take out desire when we returned to city as the kids said “we want to go to Luigi and Johnny’s” as they endearingly call Luke’s by the owner’s name and our long time waiter. Thank you for being “home” for our family “Nelson and leelA”.
I hear it is the in place in this neighborhood, but I found it much to noisy, crowded and the food ordinary.
Food and service were both excellent. Good comfort food. Enough outdoor space to relax in.
Good, wholesome food. The staff are very polite and great to talk to. Their selection of craft beers are great as well. Overall has a lively atmosphere. Would recommend.
Amazing spot for a quiet drink and great food. Lovely local place, made to feel very welcome! Will.be coming back soon!
Lukes was an unexpected surprise. We found ourselves in the rain and were desperate for some warmth and a bite to eat when we walked in to Lukes.Everything we ate was delicious. From the homemade chili and the mac n cheese to the beet salad. All were tasty and memorable.
That burger was legit!! Service was great too.
Great food and drinks for an after work spot.
Definitely a place to recommend; I spontaneously ate a burger, it was very tasty, nice atmosphere and very good service
Definitely get the beet salad with goat cheese and/or the mac & cheese. Service was awesome too.
This place has a great atmosphere. The staff is so nice - I decided to go for the first time since the bartender allowed me to use their restroom. Well worth it!
Food is well seasoned, and staff is attentive.
Classic Upper East Side neighborhood bar/restaurant with elevated pub grub and perfect service. I completely enjoyed my recent first visit and will return many times.
Always a good time here . Welcoming atmosphere and Great spot to get to know the locals. Most of the staff has been there for ages , which I think says a lot . When in doubt get the burger. The place is clean and consistent. Highly recommend.
I had high hopes for this place. Unfortunately it didn’t live up to my expectations. Ordered the smothered Swiss burger, and they brought/ordered the wrong burger while my fries just sat there. Also, it doesn’t come with anything, no fries/Salad, so they asked me if I wanted fries, and I said yes. They brought a “Side of burnt fries” smaller than what a burger usually comes with and got charged $8. The burger was around $18, without fries. Anyways, not a good option for food. Will unfortunately not be coming back. Hopefully, you re-think your prices and get better fries for the following customer.
I ordered fish and chips for 25$ tax not included.Cheap quality of fish for that price and tasteless. The fish looks really delicious with the batter used but it was tasteless. And house cut fries wasn’t that bad and if you’re hungry. Also the service was great and had my food hot and ready for pick up.
Descent selection of beer with surprisingly good food.
Went here on a whim for lunch. Food was decent, service was pretty good, nothing fancy. Its sort of your run of the mill, upper east side bar food. I ordered a salad and my boyfriend ordered a burger. A word of advice... if you order medium rare burgers, you will get medium rare... more rare than medium. If you are skeeved out by blood on your plate, Id suggest ordering the burger a little more well done.Probably wont be back for a while only because its a bit far from where I live. But if youre looking for a place to grab a quick bite and are in the area, this place will do the trick.
A bit on the pricey side. Food was fine, but 2 small sandwiches, 2 beers, and a side of fries totaled almost $80 out the door.
So glad to be back at Lukes after covid. We had a great time as usual. Favorite place to meet up in city. Good food and drinks as usual. Its been too long.
Great local bar. Good food. Had a couple beers and wine, but no buy backs.
Popped in for a drink. Lovely barman, quick & prompt service.
Food and drinks were excellent! Service was great as well and Luigi was very friendly and took care of us definitely recommend!
Had a really good burger here. Would go back
Great staff serving outstanding food.
Food is good. Entrées a good size portion for the price but the side dishes the vegetables, mashed potatoes or, and especially, the mac & cheese are tiny portions. The staff is very nice but overwhelmed. They certainly need more waiters and waitresses. There never seems to be enough even at lunch. They have no lunch specials which is a shame as their prices are a bit on the high side.
A superb very inexpensive place to eat just about anything. I got one of the best omelettes Ive had in decades, the red wines are wonderful. They even have salmon cooked to order.
It is cozy. By this I mean the staff cares, they communicate with you, andthey serve their excellent fresh food with focus and attention. This is rarenowadays. So I give them five stars.
Great music, great food and friendly staff makes this place the perfect spot to hang out or dine!
Good place, nice food, amazing staff
Love Lukes wonderful place♥️Delicious food absolutely amazing service and owner Luigi is a pure classy gentleman extremely welcoming what is very important Im highly recomendig this place🥂
Consistently great service and food. A neighborhood staple.
Excellent Italian food, outstanding service and staff.
Go in and sit at the bar for a beer! Great bartender (think his name was Michael). Feels like a relaxed neighborhood spot and learned a little more about the area and local craft breweries ( we re from the Toronto area).
Ive been going to Lukes for the past 20 years or so. Its a solid neighborhood place. The food is standard American fare. Simple but good. Its family friendly so bring the kids. The bar seats about a dozen and the bartenders are friendly and efficient. For many years it was cash or check only. They now take credit cards.
Got married yesterday not to far from this pub we stopped for a drink and snacks before hand fantastic service friendly staff good price also will certainly look forward to going back
Fine bistro-like food. Comfy outdoor seating. Good, friendly service. Fabulous burgers.
I moved back to NYC and stumbled upon this hidden gem. Great local spot. Amazing service. Delicious burger. My go-to neighborhood spot!
Fabulous local casual restaurant with delicious food. Atmoshere is friendly and all the worker bees are so friendly. Theres no rushing you once youre at a table. They are my go to restaurant on the upper east side.
Friendly servers.Tasty food. Quick preparation.
Rushed in and out. Burger was a burger. Nothing special, nothing great
Good food and a nice environment for catching up with friends. Quiet enough for conversation and the friendly staff makes you feel welcome and not rushed.
The staff is friendly the kitchen fast the food delicious. What more can you ask for
Only thing better than the service/food was was watching that bloke Henry Kane whiff a PK.
Stopped in for lunch because the kids wanted a burger. Sat outside and enjoyed a great burger and solid service
$10 beers. Stale bread. Neighborhood charm.
At Lukes youll always be treated like a regular. One of few places remaing in the Upper East Side that has such a feel. The staff is friendly, the owner can be seen chatting it up with patrons, and the food is consistent. All things youd want from a neighborhood spot.
Order something online and waited for more than 30ms just to hear they couldn’t make the item!! Waste of my time
Called ahead on a rainy day and Luke’s said they would have a soccer game on. I show up, wait forever at an empty bar for a drink, and they promptly turn off the game (which had been on). When I tell the bartender that I was there because the game was on, and point out I was the only one paying attention, he shrugs and says “tough luck”. Morons.
Great neighborhood pub. Food is great, esp Cobb salad. Friendly staff
Friendly bar, nice food. Michael at the bar will keep you hydrated 😝
Awesome food is amazing and staff is great. Love coming here for lunch and dinner.
Never had a bad meal at Lukes. Nasty day today so sat inside. Temperature was checked at the door, filled out a form for contact tracing and tables were well separated.
Wonderful neighborhood restaurant. Never disappoints.
Good local place. Excellent basic food. Classic meat loaf, lobster roll
Great place always feel at home when at Luke’s Neighborhood bar with great food and great service. Staff is friendly and courteous AlwYs a good time when I go to Luke’s
Great food and excellent service. Definitely coming back next time we are in NYC.
Ordered to go and it came like a fn DIY project. It was 80$ of wasted money. Never again
Excellent food. Nice atmosphere. Great local joint to hang with friends.
Best bar in the neighborhood, delicious food, friendly staff, and excellent atmosphere.
One of the best restaurants in the area especially in the COVID-19 era in NYC.
Great bar with excellent pub fare.
Family-friendly neighborhood bar.
Friendly service. Great food!
The food is ok, but it’s super overpriced. Really, 6 bucks for soft drinks (with the price not on the menu)?
I have been a Lukes customer since 1998. This is the real life Cheers and Ted Dansen has real hair. Consistent quality at a great value. The owner is a friend to the community. Great place for family get togethers. My daughter now age 12 has been going there since she was very young and loves the soups there. The burger is world class. This upper east side jewel is one of a kind. Relaxed and easy going yet with NYC quality.
Relaxed feel and quality drinks that are reasonably priced for the area. Food is typically solid and better than most bars.
Bartender was rude to my friend. Felt uncomfortable. Only left a tip because I have friends who work in the service industry, and felt there would be karmic retribution. Dont go here unless youre of the fairer skin complexion or if you can handle subliminal jabs at your character.
Juicy, delicious burgers. Fried chicken is crispy and tasty. Lively atmosphere.
One of the best in the neighborhood. Been a favorite for twenty years since I moved here. Luigi is the best.
Burger did not come with fries. Ill try the food next time
Great local spot. Good food, friendly staff.
I live and work along the A-Train (Inwood and UWS) , so its not often that I get to the UES, but one night last September I stumbled into this place and saddled up to the bar with my boyfriend. The bartender, hes a star.; gregarious, knowledgeable, on it! The food...wow! Off the menu, specials, it doesnt matter. They make everything with quality products and put care and attention into it. Their secret ingredient must be love! Weve been back once a month, going to the UES just for Lukes, and wish we could visit more often.
Always a great time here. Quality food. Quality service. My upper east side go to.
Nice place to meet up with someone for drinks
Still the best burger in NYC.
The burger and fries were great, service not so good. I had to go twice outside to put money for the meter, waitress thought I was running away, even though my main course hasnt arrived.
Delightful and the Lukes flatbread was delis! Never had it B4 loved it with fried Egg on top.
Love Lukes, been going for 25 years. I always enjoy it, it is a neighborhood staple!
Good service, great atmosphere, phenomenal burgers
Awesome place, the food is delicious and the atmosphere is very cool
Thr Drink are Reasonable and the Staff are Great
The best surprise other then the menu are the outstanding omelets that they’ll make for you upon request. Unless they’re crazy busy, they’ll never say no. An absolute bonus
Always terrific staff/service, elevated classic comfort food and great drinks. A neighborhood gem.
Excellent food, wine quality surprisingly good, nice atmosphere.
Delicious food, great service!
Nice lunch spot!! Drinks are well made
We enjoyed the food a lot. I left my hat so I had to go back on the sub to get it.
We ordered Fish and Chips + Buffalo bacon burger. The fish and the bacon were over-cooked and too dry!
Great bar!Friendly staff always a go to place:-)
Great food, friendly staff, quick and professional service.
One of the last few burger joints worth the trip.
An absolute staple of the UES.Solid menu.Try the Mike Wallace Meatloaf
Good food, great drinks
