Service was slow (seemed understaffed for the # of guests plus cranking out room service orders)Food was decent. Nice atmosphere though with either the roomy atrium setting or the living ceiling of plants.
Only ate here because the hotel gives a $40/person allowance per person for breakfast. Took 30 minutes to get water, did not get our orders right - I waited another 20 minutes for an omelette and someone else waited an additional 10 for a side order of bacon. Server did not check after food was delivered to make sure the orders were correct. Food itself met expectations.
This is such a wonderful place. The food, drinks and service were great. Can’t wait to come back.
Very good decor and food is ok
Great oat milk latte, but service was VERY slow. They also brought the wrong bill (likely confused with the table next to us).The food was okay. Had the Bagel and Lox and Turkey chorizo scrambled egg. The salmon and bagel were good but the chorizo and egg were wet and lacking in flavor. The hash browns on the side were overcooked and dry. Bland.Only ate here while staying at The Thompson because breakfast was included.
A group of us from L.A. were in the city on business last week. After dinner while walking back to our hotel we stopped for cocktails at the Parkers at the Thompson Central Park hotel and caught a fantastic performance by Pucci Jhones who was elegantly dressed. (See pic). This lady has a great voice and a great selection of songs. Parkers has live music Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday 6p-9p. Check it out and hopefully catch Ms. Jhones set. You wont be disappointed. The mixologist was not too shabby either -- good drinks. Perfect spot to end our evening.
Had two very good breakfasts here. The food is clearly very high quality, though the menu options are perhaps a bit traditional. The staff members (Felipe and Andrew) are very helpful and friendly. Service was fairly prompt and the atmosphere was great. Surprisingly good coffee—both drip and espresso drinks.
Rude staffs- always busy for nothing and ignore customers’ requests. 20% enforced gratitude fee doesn’t make any sense for this kind of services.Poor management - there were bunch of available tables inside but no manager in charge and they kept 15+ people for different groups waiting at entrance for 20+ minutes without even asking how many people are in each group. It feels like they just want everyone to leave if they don’t seat people.Way over priced foods.
We came in for a quick drink before a meeting….and got scammed by the server. I guess she thought we were tourists. Big mistake. We asked for the house wine. $10.00. Available from 3 pm to 6 pm. She turned the page to the wine selections. This is our selection. We selected. We get the billed she charged us $20 for the “ house wine”. We questioned her. She had the audacity to tell us that they don’t serve house wine during the Christmas season. Never mentioned that when taking the order. Spoke to the manager. We were late to the meeting so couldn’t wait for a refund. The server is obviously a liar. Problem is we are in the hospitality industry in NYC. She would have gotten a good gratuity regardless. Don’t have to scam for a better tip. Such a shame. Was our go to place in the hood. Bye
We had breakfast here every morning as part of our stay at the Thompson. Great coffee (especially the oat cappuccino), fresh juices and good selection of tasty dishes. Unfortunately the service was very very slow. We waited min. 30min to even 45min from time of order to actually receiving the dish. Given these are just breakfast dishes, it really shouldn’t take that long.
I was in staying in the Thompson Central Park Hotel for 6 Days and there was not a single day where I didn’t eat at Parkers. The food here was amazing, especially the Wagyu sliders with Truffel fries were so good! But the best thing here were the waiters, they were so amazing! They were so funny, friendly and kind, if never seen anything like them. I think every waiter in the world could learn a lot from them. They also gave us many amazing recommendations for places to visit or eat at and also when to arrive there to get the best experience.I cannot recommend the place enough! 10/5 Stars
Thursdays Jazz Night is a must have 🎺🎻🎸🎵🎶🎧🎼👩🏿🎤👨🏾🎤And the cocktails 🍸🍹 will get you right 😍🤩
Mesbah is amazing! He makes this place great.
We had some cocktails after our dinner at the hotel’s Burger Joint and they were just amazing. The staff made us feel at home, we will repeat on our next visit to NY for sure!
Wonderful cocktails with a lovely atmosphere. The bartenders are true chemists. Worth trying their creative concoctions!
Nice and coozy bar, however the service is really bad and slow
Came here twice as we are staying at the hotel. Awful experience both times. First time, they accidentally gave our order to another table so had to wait nearly an hour for food. Second time, they forgot to place one of the orders so my mother got her meal and I got my plate 30minutes later.
Great cocktails (especially the barrel aged old fashioned) and amazing service.
We ended up here rather than the Burger Joint elsewhere on the property (I guess), but while it was a pricer lunch than expected, it was quite good. Everyone around the table enjoyed what they ordered to eat; I was the only one ordering a bar drink; all were quite satisfied. Service was pleasant and professional. Would visit again.
A bit hidden. Calm and classy atmosphere. The most delicious hummus ever.
Super slow service and extremely overpriced food. Only go here if it’s free to you and you’ve got plenty of time to burn.
Parkers would be a great place for happy hour. The musician are great. The traffic for the burger spot flowing through during the music set is very distasteful. It was not well thought out my manager.Lose the burger spot traffic please. Rethink the layout and move the burger joint away from the jazz spot. The two side by side kills the jazz vibe.
Really good food
I went to hear Whitney Marcelle, and the set was fantastic
One of my favorite spots at a great hotel when I travel to NYC for either work or with the family. Ask for Orlando, Bob and Luis. It’s magical.
I cannot empathize enough how this place is so worth every penny, in the dining area they have the best drinks, lgbtq friendly/poc friendly, and the environment is beautiful. They play relaxing jazz music and the service is the best service i’ve had in a while. The drinks for pride month were amazing, the salad i had here was the best salad i’ve ever had in my life, so savory!!! A place to unwind and let go of your problems, a safe space! I definitely see myself being a regular here!
I loved whitney she was fabulous at parkers and dhe played castanets
Stopped for breakfast. Great ambiance and good food. Recommend it to grab a drink at the bar.
Really nice place to take a coffee
Bar in walk-thru lobby with wait service.
CLASSIC LUXURY GOTHAM HOTEL BAR
Service is too slow
Exceptional property!
The only positive aspects are that the hotel is really central and the rooms are good but unfortunately thats about it.For breakfast we had to wait 25-30 minutes for a table even though we had booked breakfast. There is a small selection of breakfast, but thats ok.Unfortunately, most of the MAs are unskilled or only semi-skilled.I wouldnt necessarily recommend this hotel.Try something different.
Very chic atmosphere. Good coffee, delicious breakfast. However, very large portions and cannot be compared with a European breakfast. Bring hunger!
Excellent!!
