The best babaganoush I’ve ever had and overall delicious food, great ambiance. We also tried the veggie cigars which were delicious, and the fluffy chips which are unlike anything I’ve ever tried before and loved them! They have cute pieces by artisans, I bought a cute card and noticed they had beautiful makeup pouches and home decor.Great place to come hang out with friends, enjoy the patio, or stay in. Love working from here and will certainly be back every time I’m in the city.

Good falafel and food in general if you own a condo and can pay 16 dollars for a takeout falafel sandwich that would be $7 at a similar place in Queens. Part of the priced to keep a certain clientele corridor. Food is good, but you might as well go to vinateria, its basically the same price point and has fewer assholes skulking about.Ive been trying out this place like once a year for a decade and each time Im just basically disgusted with myself for giving them money.

Went two days in a row and really loved the food here!! The beef kebab sandwich was really filling and the falafel was a bit different from what I’m used to but still crunchy and quite good, and the Israeli breakfast tasted amazing! Also, their pita both white and wheat? (The other brown kind) Are rad🔥the wheat one is slightly coarser but both were exactly the texture I was looking for— slightly chewy and soft. The Israeli salad that comes with the dish was fresh, and the babaganoush which I’ve been wanting to try was awesome and goes well with the tahini. One small thing I was a bit sad about was the eggs for it which I asked to be made poached (can be made any style you want); I was hoping the yolk would be runny kind of like an egg benedict but they came out hardened with the center completely cooked ;m; their wooden interior decor is cozy and the staff were very friendly. The water was also cucumber & lime flavored, something I was loke really happy about bc I hate the taste of tap water.⚠️ The food takes quite a bit of time to come out though so you probably wouldn’t want to go here if you’re in a rush.

A small restaurant with a performance venue downstairs. The lamb laffy was tasty. We had our food service upstairs. $140 with tip for three people. Upstairs staff was stellar.Downstairs staff helped find seats for our party of four. When a more desirable table started to open, my friend moved there. Thats when the service shifted. The waitress took up my food. When informed she apologized. I said no problem and laughed because it was the end of my plate from upstairs. But could you bring a pitcher of water to the table? She asked Now? And no matter how many times she past next to me, 40 minutes later, I can say she has YET to acknowledge me or my table. We couldnt order of we wanted to.This is not how you get tips because we were impressed with the service until this moment.

This place is amazing. Ive been many times (both the cafe floor and the live music basement) since moving to Harlem in summer 2022, and Ive recommended it to everyone I know. The foods great and well-priced, the upstairs cafe is a cool, calming place to do work or talk with friends, and the downstairs hosts great music and a bar with incredible cocktails. My one suggestion would be to improve the sound insulation and/or ordering system in the downstairs space; it gets really loud and can be difficult to order or generally speak with the bartenders/waitstaff (e.g., ask questions). But overall love this place, its a neighborhood go-to

Silvana (and sister location Shrine World Music Venue) is the premier live music destination in Harlem and thru connections with local stand-up comedians, its quickly gaining reputation as a regular haunt for stand-up comedy as well. With earthy, bohemian, eclectic decor that elicits a worldly, well-traveled vibe and excellent Middle-Eastern menu fare, its unlike any other establishment in the five boroughs. The food is excellent, however, the service is quite slow and efficient, hence the reason for four stars. I think the best item here is their falafel plate, which comes with four big falafel Pattie’s on a bed of tahini and several small salads and hummus, along with a choice of 2 sides. For $14, this is a great value for an absolutely delicious snack. We always get the fluffy potato chips which are really flavorful along with their fattoush salad.Another great item is the babaganoush. This roasted, eggplant dip is incredibly smoky, and the smoked paprika on top gives it great flavor. The pita they serve with it is extremely soft and fresh as well.We have tried other dishes in the past, like their cauliflower appetizer, but it just misses the mark. Honestly, just come here if you want the two aforementioned dishes.

Music in the background was a nice touch and very subtle. Classic Reggae played which i went in on my Chicken, veggies, potatoes and Summer ALE. Forgive me.. i dont remember the name of the chicken plate and asked the server to recommend a side for me. i said..I trust you.. and she brought back fried potatos. I was very impressed with all and all was well priced. About $20-22 with a beer. I even stayed for a CHAI. I WOULD highly recommend this lil bistro. oh.. one more thing. Silvana is a great place to listen to good music, smoke hookah and eat food. You have all type of band but it usually start with Jazz at 6pm and turn out to be a club starting at midnight usually. Good vibes and grat / pro bartenders!

What a great, intimate venue to see live music and grab some delicious Middle-Eastern food. Saw the band Empire Beats here twice and they had the crowd of all ages dancing and singing along. They were great! Amazing singers, on-point musicians, I’ll definitely come back again to see them, since Silvana is an easy walk from my place and I need my dance fix. But the way, they played different songs on each show! Hound Dog was amazing.

They charge $10 to get in. It is not worth it. They didnt charge in the past, now they have such discriminatory policy to control the number of people. Back in a few years I never paid to get inside and if the music was good I would put my tip in the bucket. It is a shame.

(SHARING MY OWN REVIEW FROM YELP. GOOGLE DOES NOT REFLECT ACTUAL EXPERIENCE OF THIS ESTABLISHMENT)When I finally decided to try Silvana, I was not expecting this place to be completely mismanaged based off the reviews. While the food here is very, VERY good, the service is not, but it is not the servers fault either. This is clearly a management issue.I arrived this morning for breakfast with my mother. Lovely male waiter told us to sit where we want and we waited a few minutes before he gave us our menus and served us some water. I noticed quickly that this waiter was running food, cleaning tables, making drinks, and closing checks all by himself without a single other worker here, besides a chef that was bringing the food up from the kitchen. Unsurprisingly, the waiter was getting very behind with the growing number of customers, pick up orders, and just overall people trying to leave. At a certain point in our meal, my mother tried to get another latte, to which the waiter informed us of all the drinks ahead of us (about 7-8). Its very disappointing to go to a restaurant and not be able to order an item that I could receive in a timely fashion.I watched many people come in, sit for 10-15 minutes, and get up and leave after no one came to even take a drink order. There is obviously not enough staff here. This came across as non empathetic and a it is what it is attitude. A second, female worker finally came in with glasses on that had absolutely no sense of urgency while this poor waiter was still running around like a chicken with his head cut off.Now I have written an entire review on the service of this place without touching much on the food, which is just as important.Like I said, its disappointing to want to order a drink and be told it would take an unreasonable amount of time. Its also disappointing to order over easy eggs and receive over hard eggs. There were absolutely no yolks which is my favorite part but this place was too busy to even mention it to the waiter so I just took it and ate it. We even ordered extra pita to take home with us which we ended up asking to be removed from the bill because it was taking 20 minutes to receive it. Like I said earlier, the food was very good, but there is no room for criticism or even the ability to correct an order when the service is 30 minutes behind.Management needs to fix this problem or go in and work a Sunday morning shift for themselves. You cannot tell me that is sustainable (OR SAFE???) for one person. Owners need to do better.

Great spot for live music and excellent middle eastern cuisine. Advice - only order beer here for drinks. Cocktails are sub-par and not worth the price tag (a dirty martini here means a glass of gin with olives in it, and instead of a cinnamon stick to garnish a bourbon drink, powdered cinnamon was dumped on top...), but if you treat this place as its intended to be (which is not a cocktail bar), youll be satisfied.
