I recently hosted an my birthday at The Mayfly, and it was an unforgettable experience! The staff went above and beyond to ensure everything went smoothly, from the planning stages to the end of the night. They were attentive, friendly, and genuinely committed to making sure we had the best time possible. Every detail was taken care of, and they were always there with a smile whenever we needed anything. The atmosphere was fantastic, and the food and drinks were a huge hit with everyone. I couldn’t have been happier with how the night turned out—thank you, Rory and the Mayfly, for helping to make our event so special! Highly recommend this place to anyone looking to host a memorable event! We’re already so excited about planning our next event with this establishment.

Linked up here with some friends on a Thursday evening. Chill vibes. Nice spacing. Music playing but not loud where you cant hear others.Staff was nice, wings were good.They have a happy hour where you can do wings & beer for $16 which was cool. They also do it with burgers and tacos as well.

A really nice vibe for brunch! Loved the DJ - music was great and not too loud! They offer bottomless for $25!The Smooth landing drink was amazing & had a great flavor! Really enjoyed the fried chicken sandwich and frose!

The best brunch I’ve ever had !! EVER!!! The drinks are super cute and all aviator themed and so we tried them all and loved every single drink !!! The vibe is fun and cutesy with great music playing and super super lively !! Trust me it’s a great brunch place guaranteed to have a lot of fun here with great bartenders

I’ve hosted 2 private events at the Mayfly, Rory and his staff are amazing. They made the process so simple, the space is big and comfortably fit 100 people. The DJ rocked, we danced all night! Couldn’t recommend more for your events! And where else in NYC can you rent a space for no minimum?!? I can’t wait to have my next event here!

Nice bar for groups! They have big tables and you can reserve them for an event like our friends did. As most bars do, it does get quite crowded and very loud right around 11p. They have a DJ set up by the door (they maybe do different DJs different nights) and this DJ wasn’t our fave: played problematic artists’ music and also a whole upbeat Chappell Roan medley and then immediately into a quiet folk song. Very strange choices but overall a fun time and the cocktails list is great!We did not eat any food, so not sure if there is anything vegetarian or vegan friendly at this spot. Honestly assuming not.

The place wasn’t busy. There were hardly any other people in there. Maybe because it only opened at 5pm and I made my reservations for 5:30pm on a Tuesday. The food and drink was great. The service was meh. The waitress forgot to provide us napkins, we had to ask! We came on Puls’d deal $29 for two entrees and two drinks

Great brunch spot. Staff is cool and has great music taste. We ordered the truffle fries, french toast and the cheese flatbread and unlimited mimosas. The service was great too. Definitely coming back here for brunch and would recommend it to others

Went for a holiday get together food service and drinks were all on point. We had a great time . Wings and truffle fries are a must.

Came in for brunch and had an amazing time. We had such great food and drinks. The burger was 💯 and the cinnamon roll was the best ever ! Highly recommend. Also have bottomless brunch which is an amazing option.

I hosted my birthday here and Mayfly was the PERFECT place. Great vibes, super friendly staff, solid drinks. Rory is really responsive and it was seamless to book the bar for a private event. The night was perfect. Highly recommend if youre looking for a place for a birthday or event!

Stumbled upon the Mayfly accidentally but super happy I did! Isaac at the bar was awesome! The happy hour was nice and the bites were delicious! Definitely recommend the burger and a drink combo as well!

This place has a very strong pub aesthetic. I remember the day I came here since they had the Olympic opening playing on the TV. I sat at the bar, chilling. Overall its not a bad place to visit.

Reserved half the space for birthday celebrations, and couldn’t have picked a better spot in the city! Rory was super communicative and kind from the start (from my inquiry to reserve the space), and the rest of the team was also so hospitable once we were actually there! Great atmosphere - I got to choose what music to play which was a perk, drinks were awesome & Isaac the bartender was also the coolest. Highly recommend for anyone looking to book a cozy spot to celebrate an occasion!

Shiv is an amazing bar tender. She not only made me amazing drinks on the menu, but one of the best Last Word I’ve had in the city. She is super personable and fun. I highly recommend going to the Mayfly and sitting at the bar to talk to Shiv!

We booked a private event at The Mayfly and had an amazing experience! The process was so easy and they were very communicative in advance of the event. They kept the event private and it was perfect for a gathering with great drinks!

Rented Mayfly out for my 23rd and had such a blast! Such a seamless process compared to other bars. Great music, really affordable and great drinks, and the bartenders were all SO lovely and attentive. Will be back!

I come to the Mayfly every Monday for trivia and recently used the pub as a space for my birthday party. The space was perfect for my group, and the staff was fabulous throughout the night, ensuring guests had food and drinks. The food and drinks are yummy, the vibes are fun, and I love the service. Totally recommend this place for your party or a fun night out!

Hosted our own private event here and were able to rent out half the bar. The staff were super friendly and accommodating, and allowed us to bring our own catering and decorations as well as play our own music. The drinks and food from the bar were delicious too. Provided a great atmosphere for our friends birthday

No bad experiences so far.Staff friendly so far.Been here maybe 10 times so far.During weekdays have happy hour with drink specials plus a food+drink few specials.Have DJ occasionally.Recommend.

Highly recommend this cocktail bar for not only their magnificent drinks but their food! The chef really puts a creative twist to things and I will definitely go back to this spot. Be sure to order their spinach artichoke dip which is creamy and cheesy. Also, get their grilled cheese 🧀 trust me!!! It’s like French onion soup but a grilled cheese. The sautéed onions and Gruyère remind me of French onion soup. Such a crazy concept that works. Go go go :)

My friends and I came across this place by chance & thank God we did! The food and drinks were amazing! We couldnt stop talking about the mac & cheese & the truffle fries. I got the BLT with egg & it was so fulfilling. Everything was soooo good. The bottomless mimosas/wild rose was strong but not overwhelming which was great. The space was intimate & the staff was kind & attentive. I would gladly come here again.

Had an absolute ball at this place! I dont remember much but from what I do it was one of the best nights Ive had in the city. I reserved a private space with a friend for a joint birthday party. DJ was great, space was the perfect size for a private event (had ~60 people there), drinks were great, and the bar owner is extremely responsive/helpful. The owner also runs Juke Bar on 12th and 2nd so if you like this place youll love this one!

Incredible service!! I travel with work and people are always asking me what spots I would recommend when visiting NYC, and I always mention The Mayfly. The bartenders I come across when I visit (Conall and Conor) can make anyone feel at home, no matter which walks of life they’re in!! Unreal environment and service!!

After ordering 5-6 drinks, we asked the bartender with long hair and a beard for water. He told us to get water elsewhere. He took our cups and gave us water and asked us to leave. Rude experience, would not return

Came here coz the bar next door was full. What a great find. We were greeted by a nice lady at the door and shown to our table. The cocktails are good, although one of the winter cocktail had too much cinnamon in it. Other than that the place has good vibes. Would def come back

Came here for brunch after seeing this restaurant on Instagram and I do not recommend. When I walked in I felt like I was bothering the waitress. I wanted to sit in a particular area and it was dirty, they refused to wipe it down just told me to find somewhere else to sit. The food and drink were nothing to rave about. Would not recommend or return ever!!!!

Are u kidding me? Coming from Pennsylvania, not knowing any area to go out too but man we picked the best one on the BLOCK! the food was amazing. Fresh. Tasty. There was no wait for our food, we did get there at 5 pm though when it opened.And don’t even get me started with the service! The waiter/bartender we had was so conversational. Made us feel like we were at home at a local bar. I believe his name was ISSAC!!! KUDOS!!!!Will gladly be returning on one condition, we get the same bartender/waiter!

This is the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant. We were sat for a full hour and never received our food. We ordered 2 appetizers and only received 1 after about 45 minutes of waiting. We never got refills or received soft drinks we had ordered. Our server never checked on us and was shocked when we didn’t have our food the few times she did manage to come near the table. She kept saying their kitchen is terrible. We sat there so long they actually tried to bus our table. We told the bus boy we hadn’t even got our food yet and he still proceeded to take our silverware. He said he would bring more but never did. So after over a hour we just asked to tab out on our drinks and spinach dip. She still made us pay $11 for spinach dip after never receiving any other food/drinks. We never once saw a manager and barely saw our server. If I could leave 0 stars I would. Highly do not recommend.

The Mayfly is an INCREDIBLE new spot with mouthwatering food and fun drinks. The atmosphere is happy and easygoing and the food will keep you coming back again and again. Brunch….. you have to get the cinnamon bun or the BLT. And the kale salad, best I’ve EVER had! Don’t skip out on this place! You will be happy you went!

Great local bar but big league in cocktails and beer both tap and bottles.Better than pub food with poutine on menu plus fish tacos etc.No soda guns behind bar so cocktails are good. My gin and tonic had choice of two kinds of Fever Tree served in wide bowl glass with sprig of rosemary. Good happy hour menu and fair prices on rest. Staff was courteous and friendly. On my regular go to list

Tried to email corporate and never got an answer! But anyways I asked if I could order drinks to go and the girl told me yes but then the heavyset guy told me no and I was like which one is it yes or no and the heavyset guy said no I asked why not? The governor extended the law till 2025 for to go drink orders and he said because we just don’t do that. He seemed annoyed and bother that I was there. Very unfriendly guy. (Jared) I think. I tried to order a frose btw.

The service was great, cool environment and the bartenders were very attentive. I liked my drink but my husband wasnt pleased with his. Also, the music was very loud other than that it is a good alternative.

Such an amazing new place. The vibes are immaculate. The bar is gorgeous to sit at by yourself and lots of 2 tops for a date. Also some bigger tables for parties of 7 or more! Tried the Jet Fuel cocktail and a spicy mezcal Marg. So good!

So let me tell you!!! Those chicken parmesan wings are not to be shared! They were so good! The lemon pepper wings were good as well. Truffle French fries were amazing. I definitely would go back here, very friendly setting. A friend and I went superbowl Sunday. The service was fast; there were lots of people here but not over crowded. It was a good vibe. Covid cards and id checked as we came in. I would go back for a quick bite or a nice vibe.

We reserved half of the space in The Mayfly for a birthday pregame (which also happened to be St. Paddy’s day). When I tell you the service and kindness of their team knew no bounds, I mean it! They took care of us perfectly and it was one of the best bars I’ve been to in the city. The cocktails were also so good and the chicken fingers and sauce were SO yummy, everyone agreed. And the live music they had was just the cherry on top! We will definitely be back and hopefully host future events there!

I hosted my birthday party at the Mayfly and it was a fantastic experience! Rory made sure to check in with me and help with planning, set up the music with my own playlist, and bring the good vibes. Everything went smoothly, and the entire team was very friendly and having fun with us while also providing the best service. The drinks were great and very reasonably priced. I’ve rented out many places, but this has been the easiest and best experience yet! I’ll definitely be recommending the Mayfly as a venue to friends as well as coming back for casual drinks!

Just had the fries but they were 10/10. My friend had the burger and enjoyed it too. The bartender was very friendly and the atmosphere was really nice to catch up with friends and not too loud like other places.

We held the Welcome Party for our daughters wedding weekend at the Mayfly and could not have been happier. Rory was awesome to work with throughout the planning process and he and his team were great the night of. So accommodating - no request was too large or too small. Quiet on a Sunday night, but cozy and just what I was after. Burger ruled.

Had a great meal here. The wait staff was friendly and attentive. Even got to meet the chef (lucky happenstance) abd he was really nice.

Still thinking about this brunch days later. I can’t believe how great the music was, the service, the food. I can’t wait to be back next weekend. Anna is the greatest hostess. I hope she’s there next time I visit.

Stumbled in here by accident 4 weeks ago and have been back twice since.I wish I could remember the bar tenders name but I cant. Very friendly and made my friends and I great cocktails wed never tried before based on our preferences.

The food was good, however for the entirety of our meal, we were reminded by staff that they had a reservation immediately following our end time. I understand the need to turnover tables, however the entire time we just felt rushed and it declined from our overall experience. Overall, the food was good but not worth it and I would not recommend.

They have outdoor seating which is fine as long as you have the fan on if you’re eating there in the summer. We got the chicken sandwich and the fish tacos. The fish tacos were a bit bland but the chicken sandwich was great.

Food, drinks and vibes are 10/10. the food is ultimate comfort and the drinks were perfection. i came for brunch but would come back any time of the day to this reliable and fantastic spot!

Brunch here was so much fun! I went with 3 other friends, and it was a great place for a group brunch. They have bottomless mimosas but we also tried out some of their cocktails, which were really well made! The spicy tequila drink was my favorite.The food was delicious as well- don’t forget to get truffle fries for the table! I really enjoyed the French toast since it was perfectly crispy on the edges and soft in the middle. Been here a few times. Everytime, there’s a great crowd of people and good music to bop to. The drinks are always incredible. The bartenders are very attentive and skilled regardless of the crowdsize. That Meghan is the flyest of the Mayfly bartenders.
