My partner and I recently visited ARORA cocktail bar, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The decor is absolutely stunning, making the atmosphere both elegant and inviting. We arrived a bit early, so the place was empty, allowing us to fully appreciate the beautiful interior.The staff at ARORA were incredibly friendly and helpful, ensuring that we felt welcome and attended to throughout our visit. Their service truly enhanced our experience.We started with a Japanese Old Fashioned, a great basic cocktail that did not disappoint. Next, we tried THE GINSBURG, which was tasty and refreshing, and an Espresso Martini that was excellent. The Marcy Playground was another standout—really good and refreshing.In terms of food, we only sampled the caviar canapés, but they were so delicious that we ordered them twice. These light snacks were very flavorful and come highly recommended.Just before we left, the piano music started playing, adding a pleasant touch that set the right mood for the evening. Overall, ARORA cocktail bar provided a wonderful experience, and we look forward to visiting again. Highly recommended!

Nice intimate place with live music, beautiful decor. Service is great. We wanted to try the salmon puffs, they were out of it unfortunately, however the wagyu sliders were phenomenal and the old fashioned was right on point. The only comment I have is regarding the tables - theyre a bit longer than usual making it a bit difficult to hear one another over the music.

What a wonderfully addition to the neighborhood. In addition to perfect cocktails (maybe the best north of 57th St), the rooms are simply stunning. The back piano room might be one of the perfect spaces in NYC, especially with the charming pianist (and singer!) who brought a bit of downtown cabaret to the evening. Food and service were also excellent, although it would be nice to have something a bit more substantial on the menu.

Comfortable setting, excellent service. Just went for drinks which did not disappoint. Great bartender Charlie. Very generous. Will try some bites next visit, menu looked good but had other dinner plans.

The atmosphere is giving sophisticated, romantic, chic, intimate date night. Everything from the service to vibe to taste of every drink is literal perfection. This place curates the ambience for an amazing evening or nightcap. Also the espresso martini was one of the best Ive ever had

What a great addition to the UES! This recently opened restaurant was on the Resy hot list so I decided to swing by for some drinks and bites. I was so pleasantly surprised by the staff, service, ambiance, food, and especially the cocktails! The bartender Jose seriously never misses a beat - I usually am not the type of person to get 2 drinks at dinner but I couldnt be stopped. I got a spicy margarita and The Kennedy - both well balanced in flavor and on the more citrus end to my liking. For food we got the cream fraiche caviar and garlic brioche - the cream fraiche is seriously to die for and pairs very well with cocktails. Perfect snack for the table and the caviar serving is more than generous. The garlic brioche was such a savory bite with a hint of truffle - elegant and tasty!Fun fact: this establishment is nutt free! Came with a friend allergic to everything under the sun and knowing how mindful they were with allergies made it easier to enjoy the dining experience.10/10 - phenomenal experience. best bar in Manhattan hands down will be a regular here!

Stopped by this Friday night and the jazz band was amazing. French couple performing was adorable. Service was great with an amazing cocktail selection. A must visit!

I stopped by with a few friends for drinks before going elsewhere for dinner. The atmosphere was a great vibe with a live piano player even on a Tuesday night and the drinks were amazing.

This place is so gorgeous and makes the most delicious drinks that I had to pause and write a review while at the bar! Bartender Dalton made me an off menu spicy margarita that was divine. I was traveling alone on my first trip postpartum and he kept conversation the whole time which I genuinely appreciated and meant a lot. All of the staff though was friendly and welcoming. Such cool menu items too including caviar and ice cream. Seems to be spreading via word of mouth and feels like a hidden diamond in the heart of the city. I hope to come back!

What a phenom place, the immaculately made cocktails, the ol world charm, the live music, the service… had one our best evenings and gonna come back for more.

My husband and I had the welcome cocktail party before our wedding night at Arora a few months ago. It truly was the BEST, most elegant, sophisticated yet extremely fun, good vibes, happy few hours. While, of course, our family and friends helped create that experience, Aroras environment and the attention and service provided with nothing by the very best attitudes from the incredibly skilled, professional and friendly staff really supported the whole mood of the party. Arora lifted us up, and we were able to soar! Our friends and family are still talking about it today - How perfect the party before our wedding night was, providing the warmest welcome to everyone who traveled from far and wide. The local New Yorkers who lived a few blocks away loved it, the California, Colorado, Florida and Oregon crew loved it, and those who traveled from overseas were obsessed too! A universally enjoyable experience had by all.Specifically what we loved were the finishes and decor, which evoked classic New York with a fresh, immaculately clean and new feel at the same time. They maintain this bar SO well, clearly. Arora somehow balances a world-class and high end feel while also being cozy, relaxed and down to earth. A hard counter balance to strike together and somehow they did it - A perfectly well rounded environment!The food prepared and passed around was all delicious and there was enough of it to go around easily. The cocktails at Arora are artfully crafted, and they gave us the best of the best! The staff was generous in every way. As already stated, the service and staff created a comfortable environment - They were also so on top of everything while making us feel laid back and comfortable! They made their work look easy when I know it was not!The whole experience down to the planning ahead of time was easy with the Arora group.My whole family would HIGHLY recommend Arora for any event you may be having and/or just for cocktails and a bite any day of the week. The location is so central - Its so easy to get to from most places in Manhattan.We will never forget out experience - One of the most important weekends of our life, and you put us at ease! Arora helped make it extra memorable.

A beautiful place with very sweet staff, however the food is very disappointing. Every single item was bad, especially the tea service food portion - which took 20-30 minutes to make (the server gave us heads up that it takes that long). We were the only table at the time. After all that wait, we got a plate of scones that were more bitter than sweet, served with jam and a not so fresh whipped cream (tasted like it was standing in a plastic container for a bit too long). Second plate were giant finger sandwiches, none of them were tasty. Desserts all tasted the same. Tea was good, I had the jasmine one that was tasty and it was all served in beautiful tea sets. Whoever picked out the tea sets and plates knows what they are doing. Lovely interior and vibe, but please bring your food to that level too. Would love to visit again if that changes.

I just left this place and I must say it was very cute and quaint. I had the Mac and cheese bites, the tandoori shrimp cocktail and the rum banana pudding. And I must say everything was made to perfection. I got to meet the cheft and he was such a sweet man. The banana pudding had the perfect amount of rum, just enough that you can taste it but wont get buzzed. I thoroughly enjoyed the tandoori shrimp cocktail. I would definitely come here again for a date night.

My favorite cocktail bar in the city! They have such a unique cocktail menu and every one we’ve tried has been amazing! They also have a menu of really delicious food to share that goes perfectly with the intimate but chic feel. Also the kindest staff! They go out of their way to make the night feel special, even adding a candle to my dessert (gelato with caviar and cinnamon!) after hearing it was my birthday. Already planning to go again!

The drink selection was excellent, particularly The Kennedy and The Hepburn, both of which were expertly mixed and bursting with flavor. The standout dish was the Rum Infused Banana Pudding – a decadent treat combining heavy cream infused with rum and a delightful crushed shortbread surprise at the bottom. It’s an absolute must-try.I highly recommend this bar to anyone looking for a classy environment with fantastic drinks and impeccable service. We had so much fun our first night at this Park Avenue bar that we returned for pre-dinner cocktails every night of our stay. Arora is an elegant yet festive bar in a gorgeous setting. We enjoyed the amazing atmosphere, charcuterie boards and specialty cocktails. Our bartender, Charlie, was so enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Cannot wait to return to our new fave NYC locale!

One of the best cocktails in the city. The music adds to the rustic charm of this place. Discovered this gem of a place on our stroll down park avenue. Highly recommend, have only tasted two cocktails on the menu can’t wait to go back to try the remaining.

A amazing jem of a bar in the city. Drinks are very well made and reasonably priced for a NY cocktail bar. The food was great as well. I love a place with live music, so this place really checks off everything on my list. Highly recommend Arora for casual drinks or for a nice evening.

I’ve been to many bars in New York over the years. Each of them have their unique style and drinks. Yesterday I took a chance on a new bar. L’art du cocktail, 505 Park Ave. We were introduced to a range of eye-opening cocktails that featured a variety of unique flavors and tastes. The ambiance was that got me first and then the exquisite drinks and service. Highly recommend a visit.

Very highly priced cocktail menu for very uninspired cocktails. Beautiful space and Im sure live music helps, but my bartender was cold and uninterested. Wont be returning. A cocktail with bulliet for 24? I mean I have no issues paying high prices for cocktails but at least they should be good for that price.

I visited ARORA with a friend on a Saturday night for an happy hour. I was looking for a good and cool cocktail place around 59th st. The hepburn was delicious ($24). Live music with piano bar started around 6.45pm

We had an excellent experience at Arora. We planned a date to get drinks then see all the Christmas Lights. It was amazing the cocktails and ambiance inside Arora were perfect for a date.They make the bitters and liquors themselves!

This place seems to be more appropriate for a relaxed dinner than for just drinks with a more alive atmosphere. My group of colleagues and I were given the backbroom, which was spacious, but didnt seem too appealing (to me anyway). Overall, the place was nice, however not what I was expecting (more alive and fun).

The place is amazing: the piano guy is stunning, the food is good to marinate the drinks: the cocktails are incredibly good and the price-quality rate is hard to get in Manhattan.

We present 23 different companies in the US this was a unique experience visiting Arora Cocktail Lounge in Park Ave. Experience was amazing, unique, and very excellent. Different from the other lounges. The service was the best anyone could ever expect in NY. My company and I will always be visiting this lounge to have the best time during the stay in NY City .

We came on a Saturday night around 7 pm and enjoyed cocktails and tartines. The cocktail menu is very extensive and with great navigation on what type of glass they are served in. My amaretto sour was absolutely amazing (if you are into sweet cocktails).There was a live piano music, mellow and nice. The place was 50% filled and was very quiet, which is a shame as has great potential to be an upscale but fun one.The tartine with egg salad was good, the one with cucumber was an underwhelming toast topped with a thin slice of cucumber. The service was impeccable and high end.

Had a nice atmosphere with the live piano music and a very aesthetic space, but service was extremely slow and not of the level I would expect for a bar at this price level.

This! The Arora is one of the classiest joints in the bustle of Manhattan, that raises 5th Ave to a whole other level. I walked in there with a friend and was pleasantly surprised to experience a subtle sophistication that one does not see often these days. The cocktails are a revelation. The owner’s personal touch is all over the menu. This place is perfect for a date night start, for old friends to meet at, for a reunion or for just to while the blues away. I am heading over soon again!

Had a classic old fashioned. It was of a medium quality and certainly did not justify its price.

Met a friend for drinks. The place was empty. The server, very friendly, sat us at a table towards the back. Gave us cocktail menu (8 pages) where every cocktail was at least 25% more expensive than any other bar in Manhattan. Cocktails arrived; nothing special and were about 30% smaller than any other bar in Manhattan. Within a few minutes a pianist started banging away on the baby grand about six feet from where we were sitting making conversation quite difficult. I asked the server if he could ask the musician to literally be a bit more piano. Instead the musician decided to play even louder. The sidewalk at rush hour was a welcome respite for our ears. Two drinks = $52 + tip.....whaaat?

My partner and I dropped in after a movie before dinner for a martini. Solid martini, and a really nice staff and bartender. Live piano so nice. Can’t wait to go back soon.

Phenomenal cocktails - they even have a device to infuse your drink with smoke. The food is great as well. Caviar, charcuterie, little cucumber sandwiches, smoked salmon and caviar sandwich. Add in some live music and this place has everything. Can’t wait to go back.

A new bar on the UES?! I’m in & so glad i decided to check it out. The warm welcome, cozy/swanky vibe, the incredible staff and carefully curated cocktails are all reasons why I’ll keep coming back time and time again.The bartenders were so friendly and attentive. You could tell they take pride in their craftsmanship as they make each individual drink from scratch. I’m usually a dirty martini girl, but I decided to try a specialty cocktail outside of my norm. First, I tried the Harper and then was intrigued by the Hepburn- thank goodness I did because they were both incredible. I find myself trying figure out the recipe to recreate it at home and I just can’t!! They were SO good! My hubby had the Opulent and he said it was ‘hands down’ one of the best he’s had.I highly recommend checking this spot out next time you’re in the area, on a date night or to people watch while sipping on a cocktail enjoying the live pianist. One of the most elegant bars I have visited in New York in my 50 years in NYC. Beautiful decor and the cocktails are amazing . The bartenders are very knowledgeable and really go out of their way to please you . Will go back there soon

The place is beautifully designed with a spacious marble bar, very comfortable table seating, and a timeless Steinway piano in the back. The staff and service was exceptional! And of course the cocktails were delicious! This is definitely our new favorite spot in the city and we can’t wait to go back!

Loved this exquisite Upper East Side cocktail Bar. We walked in and were awed by the detailed & immaculate ambience . A friendly staff, amazing cocktails and warm experience. A must visit to this newly opened gem in UES. We cannot wait to be back for more cocktail explorations & also enjoy their high tea menus.
