Super cute place to hang out with friends and play some games. Really impressed by the drinks. Also a great place to work in during the day. I can’t wait to come here at night for a chill hang out with friends! The atmosphere is fun and eclectic. I can tell a-lot of love went into designing the space.

One of the most most inviting and welcoming spaces in LES! I was grateful to have met the founders/owners and this bar represents their authentic and genuine spirits. Everything was hand built by them so there is a lot of TLC.They’ve created a community and a space for any to come by and try Kava, drink coffee, or have an other refreshment.I have only ever met excellent openminded individuals here. High quality people in a high quality place. It’s the best!

I cant hype this place up enough. you could spend all day here; study by day and dance by night. drinks are crazy good and the people are wonderful, grace is actually a genius for how she comes up with all the menu ideas and makes everything from scratch. just dont expect anything alcoholic! its obv great if youre sober, but anybody could have a great time here.this is a really special place filled with special people

This place is amazing, so relaxing and definitely a great addition to the neighborhood. The owners are so kind and really offer so many great selections of non alcoholic beverages. They also offer gf and vegan pastries. 10/10 go and enjoy yourself here. it’s hella beautiful too and a great place to work from, hang out at or stay til late!

What a lovely and unique space. Sat at the bar on a rainy Saturday and got an ashwagandha ginger drink and banana oatmeal chocolate chip cookie. Love the selection of vegan treats. There is a positive, welcoming, and chill energy here. Whether you’re looking for somewhere to read a book, write, or chat with others, this is a great space to visit. I will absolutely be back and will recommend to friends!

This is HANDS DOWN the best place in the city if you like something different, inviting, communal, and don’t want alcohol. The menu and products are excellent and you can really tell the owners truly care. The staff are all great and the owners are some of the nicest and highly quality people you can hope to meet. They have done a tremendous job bringing their vision to life and they deserve all the successs in the world. I very highly recommend going go if you are looking for a unique and enjoyable New York experience. The vibes are off the chart. Great place to work in the day and amazing place to have a fun evening.

This place is so beautiful! What an atmosphere to just relax and have tea or coffee. The comfy furniture in the back and the giant fish tank behind the bar really makes for a zen environment. You can find people working or engaging in quiet conversations while enjoying drinks that I promise you wont find anywhere else! I strongly recommend this place!

This place is awesome. As a person in recovery, I’ve been looking for a spacious place without alcohol to hang out, meet people, read, play chess. It’s super close to the L & F train, great for folks coming from Brooklyn like myself. The owners are super welcoming and hospitable; everything about this spot goes out of its way to create much-needed community.And the vegan brownies and cakes are off-the-chain.

Very nice place that I highly recommend. But its very upsetting when people walk in expecting to drink alcohol. Every Friday and Saturday, drunk people come in asking for booze and lash out when they find out its a NA bar. The owners obviously do not tolerate this and try to get them out ASAP, but its still hurtful when these cruel people come in. Last week, a group of college girls came in wasted and made fun of everybody for being sober. It really upset me and probably triggered others.If you want to drink alcohol, do not come here!! It is a great place, drunken abuse is NOT welcome

Great vibes and friendly people, but it’s a cafe that doesn’t serve milk! That’s right, NO MILK! No real cappuccinos or lattes, no half and half for your americano. No milk at all, just plant products like oat.I had hoped to have a new cafe to frequent and work in, but this one doesn’t seem willing to meet the majority of coffee drinkers where we are and offer milk to go in our java. If you’re part of the 1% of Americans who are vegan, this is a great cafe for you! Otherwise, try one of the many other places in the neighborhood to hang out and drink coffee.

We definitely need that!As for Grace, she’s an absolute legend who keeps the whole shop running smoothly. What she says? Never wrong! And did we mention, she’s stunning? You’ve got to try her hot chocolate!!!And don’t forget – there’s a whole range of vegan desserts like cakes, cupcakes, and tiramisu to choose from too!The whole team? Perfect. Every single one of them.And the best part? The customers here are just as cool. You’ll find a mix of people from all walks of life, and no matter who you are, you’ll feel at home.Trust me, you’ll get it after a few visits! Come see for yourself!

Honesty it’s a great place with great staff. Their oatmeal banana chocolate chip cookie Is one of the best cookies I’ve ever had. I was welcomed so warmly by the male owner, and told I was always welcome. I enjoyed it for a month I’m a kratom drinker and I have to drink it very slow(it takes me 5 hours). I love it though because it’s like this slow burn euphoria and I was grateful to have a place that had good vibes and could hold space for me (so I thought). By week three I noticed weird vibes from the owners. Names aren’t important but the woman main manager kept pestering me about ordering more. Now for me it’s the inconsistency. There was none of this the first few times I came and to receive such a warm welcome, if there is a time limit that should have been communicated from the start. Today I go in and I’m relaxing like usual and my friend comes and says she wants to do a shoot. I did not expect them to save my seat I was trying to communicate that I wanted my drink saved at the bar for about 15 min 30 min tops while I go out and do the shoot. I go out for a smoke all the time so I didn’t think it was a problem especially since it was a one time thing. The way I was cut off and shut down immediately really hurt me especially after the good rapport of being a regular at that point and tipping well. They basically told me I had to pack all my stuff and leave and to come back after because they don’t have space because it was busy. Thus insinuating that I would have to pay again for another drink inorder to use the space. The thing was I was literally asking for minuscule counter space for the drinks, the counter was clear by the way. I decided not to do the shoot because my kratom drinking time is very sacred to me. It ended up working out though because it was getting too dark anyway and my friend got some nice shots at the cafe. That’s not the part that up set me though. It was the energy behind it , like they didn’t want me there for some reason, it could have been in my head but gone are the days of me gaslighting myself when I feel something. Here’s the kicker, the male owner comes to me and says that their policy has suddenly changed and I have to order a drink every hour even if I’m still consuming a drink. I practically had to beg him to get 30-45 minutes more to finish my drink. That’s why I’m writing this post. This is oppressive and I can’t abuse myself any longer so I will not be returning.

The staff is chill, charismatic, and professional. It’s perfect for a nice chat with friend or a date. They have some board games and some books as well which is a great addition. The drinks actually pretty good pours and that’s a lot coming from me because I eat and drink a lot myself.

Classy and sassy. Come here to relax, meet folks, and hang with the best baristas in the city, who keep the space fun without tolerating problems. Truly my favorite spot to relax this side of the East River.

Adore this space! The atmosphere is so inviting and well-decorated like don’t get me wrong I LOVE to drink but this place is so cool and fun it might inspire me to try sobriety. Daytimes are great for having a coffee and working + relaxing with friends but they have a no laptop rule past 6pm.

Great place, beautiful decor, original and quirky. The barperson went out of her way to make me feel comfortable and welcomed. Graceann recommended an assortment of coffee, drinks and teas to try. Left myself in her hands and she delivered. If youre in the area, or even if your not...drop in, you wont be disappointed.

Overpriced very mid quality watery drinks. I felt really unwelcome when we only sat outside for an hour waiting for another friend to come, and a man came out and angrily said were gonna use these seats now when the cafe was really slow... its all peace and love until youre not white.

Not the most kosmic vibes from this guy with the ponytail. We were sitting chilling outside & he started to push us out. We did pay for a drink & was just waiting for a friend to arrive. Well, bud, you lost a few customers now. And he lied to us saying he needed the seats, but literally no one was around waiting for them. Not the real vibes here

I love this place. The owners and other workers are very welcoming. They remembered us when we came in the second time, they took our suggestions of providing drawing materials. We love coming here after a long day and knowing it will always be a relaxing, warm, and inviting vibe.

This is one of my favorite places in the city!! Whether you want to get some work done, socialize with the other patrons and baristas, grab coffee before work, or just grab a refreshing drink and ponder life while you enjoy the fish tank - this place has it all. Not to mention, the interior is a work of art all by itself. Every time you visit you find some cool new addition. Whether it’s the addition of a rhino figurine stuck to the ceiling upside down, a standing lamp filled with plants, or a brick in a fishtank - you’ll never be bored.Special shoutout to the baristas - they provide attentive service and are always super friendly and helpful!!Note: for the workaholics among us, there is a laptop rule for the bar where socialization is prioritized after 7pm and people on laptops are kindly asked to find a seat in the back. The rule extends to no laptops at all in the space after 7pm on Fridays and Saturdays.As a workaholic myself, it’s not my favorite rule, but I think it’s a healthy and reasonable boundary that the owners set in order to promote time to unplug, meet someone new, have an interesting conversation, and practice socializing.

I came to Kosmic Community Anti Bar in June. I had an unplanned layover in NYC and decided to visit alphabet city.The owners are very kind and nice. They have put a lot of work into the bar and it shows. The atmosphere is welcoming and artistic. The decor is unique, creative and colorful.Before I came here I hadn’t heard of an “anti-bar”. This is an alcohol free bar that doesn’t try to emulate bars which serve alcohol. They serve coffee, and different drinks here that don’t contain alcohol. For example watermelon drinks. Unfortunately I didn’t get to try any of the other drinks but the decaf iced coffees were great.The bar seems a place of great community. Hopefully one day I’ll come back and try the other drinks they have here.People who have consumed alcohol are allowed to enter the bar.

Not only is the service amazing but the teas and drinks are phenomenal! I came all the way from Florida just for this and they did not disappoint. Shoutout to Grace for being an absolute pleasure and master of her craft.

Well now. Im visiting from Las vegas and was just having a walk about, and happened upon this ECLECTIC coffees and juice bar. It was a wonderful experience! We dont have shops like this back home. The artwork and attention to detail was mesmerizing. If you can, you should check it out!

A real gem in NYC. They have a wide variety of drinks and the ones Ive tried so far are amazing, and they just recently added these amazing healthy hot chocolates that are probably the best Ive ever had. The owners Grace & James really make sure to make you feel right at home. The vibe is very laid back and relaxing. In a cold city its a warm beam of light. Highly recommended!

The East Village is coming back! This is a beautiful place - they love what they do, and thats the only kind of people and places Im interested in.The coffee was good, and they open late - my favorite combination! The owner (who was working the bar) was very knowledgeable and frighteningly passionate about coffee, bordering on religious fervor (which makes me want to keep coming back).The only thing I would suggest is on those front window seats, taller stools or lower that counter (pretty please).All in all, a very humanizing place!

I came here a few times before, and tonight I brought my girlfriend, Danielle. I had a tea and she had a cacao drink. We sat on the patio and it was beautiful and peaceful. Will definitely be back. I also made a piece of art while I was hear, on an old Nirvana record.

This place is so cool!!! What a great vibe and decor. I ordered a macchiato and it was perfect. The servers are so kind and absolutely beautiful. I love that it’s open until 2am on weekends too. Next time I’m downtown I’ll definitely stop by for a late night coffee!

LOVE THIS SPOT! The perfect addition to Ave C vibes. Owners and baristas are so kind and make an effort to get to know you. I work from here in the mornings and I feel like its an extension of my living room. If this place was ever in jeopardy of closing I would literally quit my job to fight to make sure it stays open.Also helps that the coffee/drinks are all homemade and ACTUALLY GOOD. This spot it has it all! Eclectic decor, amazing drinks AND vegan sweets. I had a non alcoholic sour beer, which was fantastic. They make their own fruit purees and handmade sodas as well. Very welcoming and spacious.

This is the prettiest (anti)bar I have ever been to! The menu is unlike anything youve ever seen, with refreshing options made with fresh ingredients. The space is *stunning*, with interesting details everywhere you look. Its large and airy, with a spacious bar area, a lounge stocked with interesting reads, and 2 areas for outdoor seating. Ill be a regular here for sure!

I came down to the East Village to visit a friend that was moving across country, and we stumbled upon Kosmic. What a great spot! From the moment you step in, youre immersed in an ambiance of relaxation and mindfulness. They have a wonderful selection of coffee and teas that I really enjoyed. I ended up having a delicious Costa Rican espresso, and enjoyed a number of teas that Grace & Annie recommended. I also had a sip of my friends Nitro cold brew and it was to die for. Super chocolatey with a hint of vanilla.The atmosphere is vibrant and joyous, making it the perfect place to unwind after a long day or catch up with friends in a relaxed setting. James, Grace and Annie are incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about their craft, ensuring every guest has an unforgettable experience. If youre looking for a unique and rejuvenating experience, you need to come to Kosmic.
