Extremely friendly / considerate workers. Now as for the patrons, it can often be ghetto, a lot of DL/trade shows up in the club. Some of the tables are unstable, and dirty. The food is mediocre, and the space is tight.
I told my friends I was going to a spot called 4 West Lounge. They are local to NYC (Hell’s Kitchen), and I am from out of town (Orlando, FL) for work. They said you are not going without us. It was a first time experience for all of us, and it did not disappoint. The vibe was right from the food, music, and our amazing bartender, Kelvin. He suggested I try the strawberry margarita, and it was spot on. The mac n cheese was so cheesy good, french fries in abundance & chicken wings were well seasoned. You can go for Taco Tuesday, Open Mic Wednesday, and several other themed nights. We happen to go on a Saturday & the place was still poppin. Whether you are local or visiting, be sure to check out 4 West Lounge, and ask for Kelvin (bartender). ALL are welcomed there.
Bartender is outstanding. He made the whole experience. Welcoming, good drinks, and great music. Definitely drop by if youre in the area
Loved the music and the people are so friendly. My second Sunday hanging there and it wouldn’t be my last.
This place is lit. Got mango jerk chicken wings and they were delicious. The Bartender Jeremy embodied sweetness, courtesy, politeness and humor. Met hilarious people with great energy. DJ played throwback Soulja boi, Ciara, Missy Elliot. Will for sure be coming back 10/10❤️💞❤️💞❤️💞❤️💞-Kenji
Aside from the food and my bartender, there was some weird vibes happening. Where is the security? Why are people walking in and out? I did not feel safe here.
Its my second time that attend and they are out of beer, and the air conditioner seems to be out of service. Also,.thr bartender was super slow processing the drinks.
Sunday Funday at 4 West lounge is great fun for all. Host Angel Infiniti brings us an afternoon ( 4pm until 9 pm) party with drink specials, good bites, & house music played by djs such as Steve Travolta, Carlos Dali, & Frankie Paradise. The crowd is friendly ,upbeat , & always ready to dance ( paging all Voguers). Angel is a charming, kind, & a stylish host who deserves an honor for bringing this party uptown.
They were having a Beyoncé listening party. Packed and all things Beyoncé and Beyoncé adjacent. Good time.
Wonderful place that I stumbled across because I’m staying in the neighborhood while on vacation. Great service from fun and friendly staff like Chavid and Kelvin. Friendly patrons, good music, and an all-around good vibe. Delicious drinks top it off; I’ll have to try the food next time I’m in town.
. The first time i went on a Sunday evening it was fun, lively, the music was good and the drinks were good. I was do impressed the first time I decided to go again this past Labor Day weekend on Sunday around 7 pm. The music was inconsistent and bad. The bartender had some kind of attitude and he was very rude. I will not be going back there any time soon.
Dont know why I keep coming back expecting more. Lacking all around. Not enough queers bars for BIPOC of quality. Wish I could like this place more but service is always lackluster.
Very friendly staff : great service & VERY yummie “bites & snacks” too !!! (catfish bites also 😋)
Great space and energy. Excited for the official opening. Glad there is another space for us to go to.
Was having a good time tonight we ordered ordered our first round of drinks she rang us up through the machine then we ordered Long Island ice teas and before I paid I saw her staring at my money then when I asked her how much it was she didn’t even use the machine this time and siad forty dollars then changed it to thirty eight which I found shady cause she had to run out first drinks through the machine to tell us a price but after looking at my money and seeing bills she just came up with a price off the top of her head and pocketed the money
Fun little neighborhood gay bar in Harlem. Cute guys, very friendly, cozy space. The bar itself has an area where most guys are standing around and being social and a separate area in the back for lounging and listening to music. My only qualm is that their pricing can be inconsistent -- I was charged $77 for a round and then $19 for the next one (same order, different bartender).
Whoever was the DJ on Feb 19th 2024 should be fired...Good God that was awful.
Kelvin Darius and Bonnie are the best bartenders always feels like home
Gay life
I was treated extremely unfavorably at your establishment by a security guard by the name of Clyde. (I’m not sure if this is his real name but he has a mole and grey beard) Therefore, I will no longer be supporting this business. I wanted to enjoy open mic at the front, and I sat a seat that someone didn’t want me at due to whatever reason (He was not saving a spot and was on FT, and I guess he had a relationship with Clyde and used that to his advantage), and I was forcibly removed from my seat. I’m extremely traumatized by the experience, especially after I simply wanted to enjoy live music. This is supposed to be a safe haven for Black gay men, and the fact that your business forced me out is contradictory to your mission. I sincerely hope this is not the principles 4West stands by because it is not a great image for the Black gay lounge scene seeing as we already do not have many safe spaces in Manhattan. I requested to talk to the owner Brian but he was not in tonight. I hope someone gives Clyde proper training and also educates your regulars of proper etiquette. It’s freaking NYC - of course we’re gonna be forced together like sardines.
I LOVE Kelvin, the bartender- he has excellent customer service. Love the vibe and the energy here. My one only concern is the cold in the space, it makes it difficult to fully enjoy. Most of the women here tonight agreed with me that the cold is a lot. Please provide more heat for us sensitive femmes. We love you!
Fun place. Nice vibes with nice music.
Good vibes, good people and good drinks. Highly recommend. Such a vibe!
Skip it. I’m black and we can do better for the gay Harlem boys. The bouncer was unprofessional. We came for a night cap after dinner and he wouldn’t not let my young black friend in because he had a doggie bag, but ignored the fact that my white partner also has a doggie bag. They don’t have draught beer
This is a cool space in Harlem and its always a lot of fun but their drinks are way over priced especially for what you get. I ordered a Titos Soda and it was $16!!!! After I tipped it was $18 total. It came in a 7 oz clear plastic solo cup and I had to ask for a lime. Disappointing because you want to support these places but they take advantage and the service doesnt meet what they are charging.
What an awesome time I had during their open mic night. Great service and delicious food 🤩🫶🏽
Worst Worst place ever OMG they been sitting here talking and laughing for 20 minutes dont not come here so bad
Amazing, friendly and attentive bar. The bartenders enjoy talking to you which is a relief. This was my first time here and I loved the atmosphere and the bartenders made me feel very welcome! Thank you especially to, Kelvin! ❤️ I will definitely be coming back, amazing change from downtown bars.
The best place to be trust me literally any day is a vibe
I would love to see 4West do a Saturday brunch before the summer ends
I love this place !! Great food and drinks love the music . Hip hop vibe great for friends !!!
Very friendly staff; nice and open format
I enjoy the open mic nights.
I truly adore this place 🫶🏾
Make sure y’all tip my cousin bonnie 🫶🏽
Really nice space with good food and great music. Only giving three stars because the bartenders are BEYOND rude. Snapping fingers and rolling their eyes when you’re ordering a drink. Why the attitude? Treat your customers with respect.
Amazing energy Great service strong drinks a even better vibe !!
Nice spot with great wings.
Shes cute or whatever
Love it! Love it! Love it!
Great drinks
