A delightI say, has anyone else indulged in a Jameson Orange Mule at this establishment? It is simply delightful.I wander here regularly following an LGBT sports practice nearby.Over time it has become, to put it bluntly, our team watering hole - often outcompeting Rise! (Audible gasp from gays under the age of 25)A well-kept bar with friendly and efficient staff.A good spot for a date, a good spot for a group meet up and a good spot for casting furtive glances around the room hoping to strike gold (Although, I’d you’re like me, your future husband is probably currently mincing around the Hamptons than in New York City).A must for your night out in Hell’s Kitchen list!
We had fun and the drinks were delicious
This place has always been a nice location but I was just here and was enjoying a drink w my friends near the door and noticed that the bouncer kept waving men in without IDing them, but EVERY woman who came through he fully inspected their ID. Like… c’mon. That’s not cool—and these were not people who looked underage either.
Atlas is a more low-key gay bar in Hells Kitchen. No drag shows, but Shane behind the bar is awesome and the drinks are well made. It can get kind of loud as the night goes on but its still a good place to meet people or hang out with your friends.
Like many others, I had difficulty figuring out the social scene here. Whos the demographic? Do we tip the dancers? Whats acceptable behaviour? Are we here to dance with the dancers or by ourselves? So many questions, and they remain unanswered. For me, the dancers were far too pushy and there was a severe imbalance in the ratio of staff to customers (due to a weekday no doubt). I wasnt a fan of the atmosphere it gave off.Short answer: if you want a lap dance from a hunk and arent afraid of seeing quite a few people from the older crowd hang around you on the dance floor, then this place is for you.
Very nice place, I love it
Good music and feels like a regular bar found in most USA cities. Drinks are priced based on NYC market rates. Ill check it out again for a quick drink as a pre-gane spot.
There’s Jóel whose great. The crowd is otherwise superficial. I kept going back for Jóel and once brought a friend from Cuba. J was not there so Marco and I told the nasty bouncer, “Hit the road, Jack,” we’re not gonna come here no more no more no more!
The bartenders were ok. Not really nice, but also not rude. I was there on a Saturday evening and it was too busy. You didn’t really have a place to dance or something.
Good little gay bar with a good vibe. We had the jalapeño margaritas and they were pretty good.
Therein states are something really good Called Happy Hours well I could consider to get a bit early and ejoy it well its about$8 bucks and could get a really good drinks and cocktails I celebrated my birthday there with my friends and I had a lot of fun, music are good and environment are so nice!
So glad Ryan is working here now! Such great service and great conversation
Only go here if you want to get spiked.4 friends went here on a Saturday night. They had one drink. 2 ended up in the ER and 1 nearly died walking home.We will be following up with police as well.
I don’t know what happened to this place but it got really sketchy. The guys they’ve hired are super aggressive. It was fairly comical to watch them approach every person at the bar.
Worst bar in town. Service is horrible. The person at the door homophobic and rude.
Overflowing with rude straight women; gogo boys making out with the girls; people vaping inside; bad, bad music. I want to believe its just bad luck, but this place is terrible every time.
Usually a very good bar. Aperol Spritz advertised on mirror at $16. Todays bartender whom Ive never seen before demanded $18
The very RUDE bartender made me feel uncomfortable, his service/attitude was awful and after that I paid no attention the that ambiance. Extremely disappointing and unwelcoming!
Nice weekday happy hour spot. 90s-20s pop music with excellent specials. Enjoyable even if you are straight.
This bouncer called me and my friend some spicks, and threatened me to the point of fearing for my life. Will never return.
Its kinda odd gay bar. Its nice and quiet, musics alright as well. But the atmosphere were a bit awkward.
The bartenders are amazing! Jackson, Joel [pronounced with a y] and Joey are amazing!
Great crowd on a Sunday
Relaxed atmosphere gay bar in Hells kitchen. Fun little lounge / dance area in the back.
How is this place even still open? Overpriced, bad service. Avoid - too many other good places in HK.
I am a straight woman, but I’d hang here. When I have passed through, both the patrons and the staff are welcoming, very friendly, and talkative. The bartenders are amazing. Heraldo’s passion fruit margarita is the absolute BOMB!!! The music and atmosphere are always cool.
The bouncer needs to cut down on the steroids...hes not normal. We were headed to dinner on 9th ave...it was raining and decided to pop into one of the bars for a drink or two to wait out the rain. Literally stepped inside the door, pause for the amount of time to pull out my phone, open it and start to double check location of restaurant and the bouncer was like keep it moving! Now, its hard to convey how rude it felt...but it was rude...and weird...and not necessary. So I said yeah...well keep it moving...right back out of the bar and to one of the 10 or so other gay bars within a couple blocks. Went to Flaming Saddles...greeted by a smiling, friendly bartender...had a great time...after 2 drinks each and a generous tip...off to our dinner...will NEVER EVER go to Atlas Social Club...nice job dude...you are weird...
Solid bar. The drinks were on point! Special shout out to Joe or Joel (it was a little difficult given the music volume) - he was super friendly and made amazingly balanced drinks. Love the vibes and solid music playlist.Definitely coming again
They need to get their bouncer in check, they don’t own the sidewalk space and can’t tell you that you can’t stand on Ninth Ave talking to ppl outside. Absolutely ridiculous.
BAD BARTENDER EXPERIENCE! While this place seems to be a staple in the commuunity, they may need a reevaluation of staff. Recent experience was ordering drinks for some friends, giving card, and trying to order AN additional drink (singular for another friend). Gave first AND last name (as I have a common name) to the bartender to who I ordered the previous drinks and he asked for my card. I told him my name MULTIPLE TIMES and he couldnt find it. Had to recount all the other drinks and magically he found my card after that. The attitude throughout was an attitude of disbelief and rudeness. Needless to say, I closed out after that.
Nice place. Went in for a quick beer during the week.
Nice cocktails, if somewhat pricey for the neighborhood.
Always have the best time at ASC.
My bag was stolen. The security didn’t even assist me with looking for it.
I am going there tonight (2 years ago)I have not been back since. (today)
Very easy vibe. Friendly Crown of all ages. Small cute dance floor. Living room feel. Gits well like a great pair of shoes.
Comfortable gay pub ... Love the video bar aspect
I was there last night with a friend ( both him and I are persons of color) sitting at the bar and we both noticed the music video playing on the TVs were displaying white men in black face. It was instantly unsettling, and the response to immediately turn the programming off was delayed up until the noticeable facial expressions of discontent of my friend and I. The irony of things is this is not the first instance where something of this sort happened, previously black face was displayed on the screen from a music video that was selected by a patron. If I’m not mistaking the app that is used internally is “jukebox”, which has songs/videos that are hand picked by the establishment. That may speak volumes to what kind of establishment this is. Therefore ASC will no longer get not even a penny from me.
It was fun, a little over priced, but good environment.
I had a great time there. Loved the service, the people and the concept.Great drinks & sides . I ll be back .
I love how welcoming everyone was including other customers. I love the atmosphere. I will come again
I can never really figure this place out. It looks like it does decent happy hour business. I just cant tell what the crowd is going to be like. Plus the a/c seems to only cover the front half the bar. The other half is like a sauna.
Ok happy hour. Vibe can be bitchy.
Good happy hour. Check the drink sign (photographed above) for drink specials after 9. Its a good low key place to grab a drink and catch up with friends.
Good. Cool. Good for drinks with a buddy.
Evidently the bartenders here do not rely on tips for their livelihood. Choose your bar accordingly.
Pretentious waiter who’s not even trying to be helpful or kind. We left for the bar next door.
Hmmmm - we were a bit shocked when the server charged us $17 each for a moscow mule.
Cant complain. Atmosphere always changes from huge dudes bumping big parts into one another to drag queens and Gogo boys. Also, small-person strippers. Dance floor is a bit awkward but who cares!?
Bar is ok. Some people in crowd can be very pushy (even after being told that one is not interested)
2 Long Island Ice Tea and came with two hotdog, they said we have to serve with food because we are sitting outside and it’s pandemic. Everything cost $40 😱 what a rib off during pandemic.
An okay gay bar to meet someone after work for a drink. Besides that, it just doesnt have the welcoming and jovial atmosphere of some other HK gay bars.
Love this dump and love my bros Gustavo and Asi!!!!!!!!
Me and my friends ordered drinks and then we never saw the waiter again. We had to find a random employee to try and a order some water and they said they didn’t offered tap water to customers. The bathrooms were dirty and didn’t have paper towels the toilet didn’t flush all the way either. Wouldn’t recommend this place unless it’s a last resort to drink.
Great place and the music is amazing tonight
Nice hangout during Happy hours
Great for weekday happy hour.
Only 4-5 muscle boys made out with me in the bathroom. Total letdown! And the drinks were constantly over poured!! It’s like they want us to get drunk.
Atmosphere and higher quality food
Fun spot, good drinks
Nice place hot bartender
The see security is no good.
Great drinks
The drag queen is hilarious
Good drinks!
Its fine.
Good
Bit of a dive
Good
The place has good music and is very well located within the Hells Kitchen neighborhood on 8th. The best view is from the bar tender that explodes testosterone when serving your drinks.
I dont give an opinion about the food, I didnt eat, I just went to drink
The drinks and music are nice. Its a good gay bar to have a drink. Much quieter than other bars in the area.
We pay entry but only $5 and then the drinks are cheap so its okay... Nice and warm atmosphere
