Lambda Lounge

T’was a bit dead on a Sunday night, but I enjoyed my time here. I come for the great music and hookah, they never disappoint. The drinks are always great with friendly bartenders, this night was no exception. A bit pricey but excellent quality and strength. Two doubles and I was good for the night. Usually it’s a guy making the hookah on the weekend and he does an excellent job. This visit it was a younger female and the hookah was weak with not a lot of drag (though the flavor was pleasant). I asked for blueberry mint and she brought me the hookah saying that she added a bit of peach as well (but peach was all I tasted). Probably wouldn’t order hookah again if she’s the one making them, but everything else was great.

My good friend took me here to see a childhood friend of his that he grew up with.Turns out it was the owner Ricky.I was introduced to Ricky and his partner who are very nice people. One of their friend was celebrating his 25 th birthday so we were quickly escorted to the V.I.P section towards the rear of the establishment where the birthday boy was already set up with cupcakes and drinks.. This large area included very handsome leather couches and a large banquet sofa that could easily sit upwards of 6 people comfortably.There was a photo station built into the wall as well as entertainment on the flat screen television that also housed a variety of games.I was impressed by the ambiance and location of the lounge, everyone and staff was following protocol with temperature checks, masks etc..most importantly the crowd was a mixture of very attractive, sophisticated adults that set the mood for a very interesting evening.The drinks were great and our server went above and beyond, very friendly as well. There was a small variety of finger foods on the menu, but I chose to drink my calories instead.Towards the end of the evening we were ushered to the other section towards the front of the lounge as the night wind down. There we were engaged in conversation from Ricky the owner as well as some of the staff. I met some locals from the neighborhood as well as some from out of town.There was a very high profile official who happened to be sitting across and eventually we were all engaged in laughter and trading stories of past and present.Overall it was a pleasant experience and I cannot wait to return to support Ricky as well as the local community in that area.

Not all clientele was either willing or easy to talk to in this LGBTQ + “friendly” bar/lounge. I was charged $45 for two drinks with a $4 tip of which one came in a miniature kiddie glass. The music was blaring to the point of distortion, and the DJ blasted noisy sirens 🚨 every 5 minutes or so that were deafening. It was almost impossible to hold a conversation without having to shout. Very disappointing.

I had the opportunity to finally visit Lambda Lounge and I was not disappointed. We were met with love at the door checking in to our departure.I felt so comfortable and attended to that I was getting spoiled. Great drinks! Great service! Great food!! Great atmosphere! Definitely one of the best places to visit in Harlem.

Great spot in Harlem. Good place to see all the “beautiful people” and listen to good music. I didn’t give it 5 stars because the drinks are a little overpriced. Otherwise it’s a great venue.

Great use of outdoor space given the restrictions. The Jerk wings the offered came with bleu cheese instead of ranch which made me happy. The service was very casual and accommodating which definitely lightens the mood in these trying times.

Stood in line for OVER an hour ! The security guard was getting to people pay him to enter the bar. I came from South Carolina and wanted to have a great night out to celebrate my friend Birthday Day ! It’s not the fact that the people that paid go in , it’s that he didn’t say selected people to let in . It’s really messed up and I was not the only person that feels that way !

This is a great space! So nice to have a new black owned gay bar in the area. I am giving it 3 stars because as they had no COVID protocols in place amd they were doing was very poorly practiced. 1. The door person was checking temperature at the door not wearing a mask. 2. The servers had masks but some werent wearing them or wearing them around their necks. 3. People were up and walking around in the space not wearing mask and hanging in large groups. Heres the thing, COVID sucks but its still a thing and is especially hurting our black and brown communities. I ask the owners to please be more responsible and take this pandemic seriously. I am rooting for you.

Really nice environment, friendly bartenders, though I will say the security guard didnt seem like he wanted to be there and they seat you kind of like a restaurant but theres no host or hostess, so youre a little bit on your own to figure out where you can and cant sit or stand or how you should pay

Great vibe and energy. Will def come back. Appreciate the non-alcoholic cocktail options available on menu. So few spots do that. But its simple thing to help non-drinkers not feel awkward. 💜

New facility. Currently only outdoor service due to covid restrictions however has great potential when covid times are over. Looking forward to see them develop. Very friendly staff and great drinks.

Superb service, great drinks, appropriate pricing for the area and demographic. Safe space for LGBTQ+ people. Everyone is welcome, especially Brown and Black persons.

Drinks are way too expensive here. Crowd comes late.

Refreshing to have such a cool spot in Harlem. DJ was great and the atmosphere welcoming and fun. Bartenders are on point too.

Music is great!!! Well drinks are nice and strong but way too overpriced- $17-20$ with tip for a Jameson Ginger Ale. Also Big Bertha that guards the bathrooms- y’all need to pay her more because she asked me to buy her a strawberry Hennessy and she’ll Apply Pay me. Than she told me she couldn’t afford to pay me the $20 and her phone died. So on top of that she can’t afford to buy herself a phone charger. How embarrassing for your establishment. Also one of the bathrooms- the light was out. How y’all can’t afford to buy a light bulb to fix the bathroom but yall can charge $20 for a well drink. Make it make sense please. Went on a Friday night and had a blast. Pleasant crowd, kind bartenders. Expensive drinks. I probably would have purchased more cocktails but $16 for a drink + $2 tip adds up super quickly.Otherwise. Great music and pretty clean.

I came here last night and woke up to random charges to pizza shops and checkers that I know I didn’t buy.I left very sober. Watch how you use your card here, the bartenders will use it for themselves.Be careful y’all, just carry cash.

Whatever manager or “supervisor” was there tonight, made the place seem extremely messy. I actually did not get in. I came with 3 other ppl who were willing to pay the !unadvertised! $10 entrance fee. Why am I paying on a Thursday, idk. But anyway , the point of contact gets pulled away and returns to tell my party we can not come in. When I asked for what reason , he replied with he simply could not. He just could not. Turns out the real reason is bc the person in charge’s ex is friends with one of my friends. So simply for the acquaintance factor , we were denied entry. Welp, for another club , I went searching.

Excellent ambience, and music. The bartender was magnificient, so friendly, and handsome. Francisco is a plus, excellent! The people, clients are wonderful, very friendly. Amazing spot!

Its the old P.JS lounge. Not at big change. The people there seem to be troubled and minding others business and causing trouble. I was disturbed that I took my female friend there and to see how guy guys act and complain about discrimination. Disturbing. Also. The doorman need to be more professional instead of having conversation with friends instead of attending the paying customers who help get them a check. Just being very observant.. the bartender was very professional and attentive.

Went out last night, for a place that size they still manage to have decent amount of seating and dance floor. The AC was on, the lighting and scenery was a great vibe. THE BAR TENDERS ARE HEAVY HANDED!!!🙌🏿 definitely a place for drinkers.

Cool little spot. Cant order drinks at the bar, well at least for the time that I went. You have to wait for the server to come to you. And you have to be seated by staff. Drinks took awhile to order and get. But there was only one server and seemed like a busy event evening for them. Apparently they have video game evenings there as well.

Awesome space but make the outdoor more unique. Look at what others are doing downtown and in midtown, even around 116th actually. Use cooler lights, plants, fire pits, I don’t know. Give it a style and more people will come. Harlem is know for its style, make it more stylish! Make it more Harlem!

This is definitely my new go-to spot. The vibe is always chill and welcoming, the service was stellar (Francisco was our server last night and was really attentive, engaging, and cute af), and the location and layout is phenomenal.

If you’re interested in weak, overpriced drinks from a cash strapped business looking for every penny then this is the place for you!

Staff was sweet, quick, and considerate. Would definitely come again.
