While staying in NYC, I was in the mood for a hookah. The place a friend recommended was closed at 11 so I found the nearest place with Hookah.The staff was nice and attentive, and replaced the coals quickly upon asking. It was also the quickest hookah to come out ... like literally 4 or 5 minutes.However.... if you are used to smoking nicer German or Russian hookahs and dark leaf shisha.... this is probably going to disappoint you. The actual hookah kept having issues and wouldnt allow me to purge until I jiggled the blow off valve ... every few minutes. Even the strongest Shisha doesnt usually hurt my throat but there was something off about this one. Its much more traditional than Im used to ....Apparently, the Shisha served in NYC needs to not contain any nicotine so maybe it was that.Al Fakhar Shisha was $40 and the few offerings from Adalya (Love 66) and Blue mist from a brand Im forgetting off the top of my head were $45.With the premium Hookah, one Rum and Coke and automatic 18% gratuity on the bill... it was about $76.Would I visit again? .... maybe ... if I was nearby and craved a hookah that could be described as ... eh.

We had a fun time- there were drink and hookah specials during the 90’s bar crawl that stopped here. I did have to ask them to make the music more 90’s since they were playing Latin dance music.

I had an amazing time at Mazar Hookah Lounge! The atmosphere was perfect for a night out with friends – it was cozy, stylish and had a great vibe. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and our bartender Suzy was especially amazing! She made us feel right at home and recommended some delicious drinks that perfectly complemented our hookah flavors.

Thought this would’ve been a good experience but it was far from it. The music was good and the hookah was good as well. The food on the other hand was terrible. The chicken wings were so hard to the point where it was not edible. The chicken tenders and fries were okay but for the price it should’ve been way better. WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT ORDER THE MACARONI & CHEESE. It was not edible at all. Thankfully the manager was kind enough to take it off the bill. This place is definitely not known for their food. If you’re looking for a place to just smoke hookah & get drinks then this is the place. The service was good, but I wish the food was better especially for a Friday night. Also what they dont tell you is that they charge you a fee if you pay with a card.

The only reason I’m giving 2 stars because when entering I had an unopened gatorade, I understand the rules of not brining in outside drink. The bouncer said he’ll hold onto it and put it to the side. My friends and I was there for a good 2 hours. On our way out the bouncer was gone and my drink was open / used on the table. I didn’t complain cause it was just a drink but it’s the disrespect/ trust that was given to watch it. If the guy would have just ask if he can have it I absolutely would have no problem giving it to him. But he didn’t ask he just drank it because he could. Everything else was good food a bit over price but not terrible. One of my friend drink was water down but the rest of ours was fine. Hookah was also good.

Great venue and decent music, but the service was lackluster at best. I should not have to repeatedly ask for coals. They should be brought around to me every now and then. My friend and I were not checked on once while we were here. Very sub par customer service compared to some other hookah places Ive been

I DO NOT recommend this place at all, before we sit down “manager” “owner” idk said we had to have a drink, appetizer and hookah so we can sit down (first rule) they were struggling with the music, it was on and off on and off (like 5 min off) then they start playing some music from someone’s phone (YouTube with commercials) it was a guy who was fixing and looking for something on the floor (not a good time to fix the floor) it’s a hookah bar but we had to asked them for charcoals. I was trying to be patient with those problems (technical problems)But when I asked for the check They DO NOT accept card, the Manager told me to use their ATM I told him I don’t like using ATM because of fees, he said is fine he was going to pay for the ATM fees. My check was $133.22 At the end he didn’t pay for any ATM fees and charge me $138.00 out of nowhere.

1)You have to get a bottle service in order to get a good seat.2)Ordered Primium on a pineapple head Hookah tasted very awful, they using self lighted coal and cheap tobacco brands.3)Music was extremely loud. Couldnt hear my friends.4)Ordered jack and coke 75% of a drink was ice.5) The only reason i give 2 stars is for a friendly waitress.Overall i had a bad experience visiting this place. I will never come here again.

If I could give this place zero starts I would after what I experienced today. I decided to hand out with a few coworkers at this place because we’ve been here before, but today when we entered a white waiter asked me for my debit card and ID to open up a tab. First of all they never did that before so I found it to be strange. There was an Asian couple sitting next to us so I asked them did they have to give their debit card and ID and they replied no. So my first instinct was that I’m being singled out because I’m African American. When approached the manager about it he was rude and basically defending his waiter and trying to make it seemed as if I was wrong for asking him why they took my items and not anyone else. We are in 2018 and I will never return to a place that discriminate because of your skin color.

Love the atmosphere, staff is very friendly and great service! Great drinks thanks to the bartender, food is perfect and Music is all good vibes!

Hookah was okay, bottles overpriced as usual, there was no air conditioning so we couldn’t stay very long because we were suffocating! How do you not have proper AC in the summer time at a hookah lounge??

It’s a nice place with good background music, the drinks are good, if you are going to get a hookah save yourself the trouble and just get a pineapple head. It is 10 times better than the normal Hookah. I can’t speak for all the food because I only got one item on their menu, but the shrimp tacos are amazing. If you like spicy, you’ll love this.

Great place. Simple, chill atmosphere, good variety of music, good hookah, good finger foods and good drinks. The staff is incredibly friendly and the prices are decent.

Chill atmosphere. Great drinks and great hookah. Music is mixed so great music when DJ comes. Our waitress Lauren was great!😁 will definitely come back.

Let’s start with the highlights: the music was good, the wings were even better, & the ambiance is nice for a date.The areas of growth: the air conditioning is nonexistent which is not great for summer time, the drinks were weak, & the service needs some major improvement.

Great spot! Loved the variety of music they play - anywhere from Spanish and Hip hop. Great food. And the hookah prices are unbeatable. Very comfortable seating aswell!

The ambiance and food are by far spectacular. The restaurant is beautiful and the staff is so helpful. Really enjoyed my birthday dinner. Would highly recommend.

Got my phone stolen here. And a friend got her credit card stolen. Thieves come to this place. And Mazaar lounge does little to help. So Watch out for that.Besides that. The place is small as hell so bad idea if you’re coming in a group.

Great food for a bar/ lounge. It just took a while for the food to come and the server messed our order. Other than that, I would recommend this lounge to other people.

Fun spot, came in from out of town and wanted to try hookah, picked this spot, had a great timeSat in VIP, the staff is great the drinks were strong the DJ was awesome the whole place had a great vibe.

Hookah was “OK” , but comon $50 for a hookah is too much , also they added 20% as tip to our order , so if you go there ready to pay alot of money 💰

They added a mandatory tip in the bill, did not itemize and had me tip them again for a total of 350 percent tip. so 2 beers ended up being like $70.05. Avoid.

Mazaar club is the place to be, I love this to party, the owner & management is kool, but some of the customers annoying, and irritated to me sometimes, they attitude is not good for business, but the power trying to fix situations.

The waitresses always attend to u and offer discounts on items. Good diverse music

Was here for my friends Birthday 🎂. Nice small place, DJ was good ,she played some of everything and just enough reggae for me . The food was okay. The drinks were really good. Well be back soon🤩

Hookah with a wonderful array of flavors for either inside or in the parklet. GREAT full bar, great drinks all around, and really good food coupled with a pretty groovy nightclub experience. Really great addition to the neighborhood, and probably the only place in town to be able to hookah, eat, and drink, at least Lower East Side!

I HAVE GIVEN THIS PLACE 3 chances already and it just always disappoints. HORRIBLE SERVICE FROM THE SECURITY TIL THE SERVER. I always have to ask other employees for drinks, refills & hookah & if they’re not the designated server, they always respond with “you have to ask your server” “i dont know”… the least they could do is tell our server to come by. There’s only 3 other tables to attend, place is empty, it shouldn’t take 35 minutes (we counted) to stop by and ask if we need anything.Horrible service, food and cocktails. I usually order beers and they’re not even cold. The food tastes like it’s frozen food that they just microwave in the back and again takes forever to come out.My group of friends & I are officially done trying this place.

Definitely an amazing chill place. Music was amazing & on point food even so much better bathroom super clean & sanitary it was cleaned after each person. Fair pricing, the only problem is because gratuity is already included and cash is preferred but it was quite hefty. I’m a nice tipper and it still seemed exorbitant to me. Otherwise, would go again

Coming in groups is definitely a bad idea. DJ encountering technical difficulties. The people in charge of this place cramming people in its small back space. Tall dudes taking up the whole dance floor. No one can move around. The staff doesnt care about the customers comfort level when sitting next to someone. They keep on telling people to move down further and further when they see there is no where else to go. A reservation was made in person ahead of time, yet at the moment of being in the establishment they start saying different things. They arent clear with what rules or guidelines they should follow when dealing with a large group from the beginning. Very upset with the outcome of arrangements and service this facility has provided. Go anywhere else with a larger space and managers/owners who take into consideration the comfort of the customer and their time. I came for a birthday and if it were me, i would have taken all 20+ people and my money elsewhere to enjoy a great night where I would not feel trapped and Claustrophobic.

Went after a sunday brunch around 4pm. The place was pretty empty but that was the best part. It was 8 of us. We got two hookahs and two buckets of beers. We were able to mix the beers. The passion fruit flavor was the bomb. The staff was great and very attentive. The music was awesome turned into a karaoke spot, thanks to the DJ. Bill was less than 20 per person which was a good rate.Nice, chill experience over all.

It was a different experience but good what I mean by that is they were playing a lot of Latin Music 🎵 but when the Dj came he switched it up combined Latin with hip hop 👍🏽 food was delicious the Hookah service and drink/waitress were on point 👍🏽 Id definitely go back there when Im in New York...As I was leaving the Dj even approached me to let me no what days hes there and asked if I paid my Bill/Tap as if he was going to put something towards it or even a discount....... Nice 🙂

I went there last night and it was a big disappointed. The manager came over to us and he was nice, the music started out as some hip hop and r&b playing, then they switched over to Spanish music, then Indian music. The vibe in there was confusing, we requested to change the music he said he would but didnt, then after our food came he decided to tell us that he supposedly couldnt change the music. I honestly feel like he waited until we ordered our food and it arrived for him to tell us he wasnt going to change it. I ordered wings along with my friend. I got 4 wings she got 3 for $12. I have NEVER been anywhere that serves 4 wings and it didnt even come with fries. All in all we weren’t even there for an hr and it was $200. There was no sign stating they prefer cash nor did the manager state it but I was also charged a “non cash fee” of 8 more dollars I honestly never even heard of that one before. Just honestly a disappointing experience and I feel we werent valued or appreciated as a paying customer

Julia was Horrible! She asked my friends and I for ID and credit card before we even sat down to order. Julia stated that is is management rules. It was the most racist experience I have ever get experienced. I told her to call the manager and then she comes back to say the manager stated that it is okay. I did not want to even eat there or buy anything. For that treatment I can spend my money anywhere else. The first and LAST time I will visit here. It is a little crazy as it was empty (only 4 people here) and this is the personal attention my friends and I receive? This is unbelievable!!!

Biggest rip off ever. They’ll charge you card like 8 times and give you a huge bill. Hookah is trash and unfriendly staff. Spent so much money here and they treat customers like trash.

Great customer service music is mix due to the diversity of people, bathrooms are always clean. Right before ordering a drink or hooka must order their food ! My goodness Dany the chef is amazing from their salad, finger foods, to the pasta.

Ok Im giving this only a 3 out of 5 cause some of the staff was Nice. Ill start off by saying I never get drunk is not my style I like to smoke hookah n get a drink or 2. I know people get drunk and act stupid but that was definitely not the case for me. I go on Halloween the bartender is cute and seems nice do I order my first drink. It goes fine. I order a hookah it goes fine. I start its starting to get packed. FYI I have her a 25% tip on 3 drinks I like to tip good do I get treated good. I wave to her I want another drink but shes talking to a group of dude. Thats cool I know you getting your money but then after a few minutes she walks pass me with my hand out and gets the couple next to me they just arrived at the table. Its annoying but I let it go. When I order my drink from another person I keep my tab open. My girl wants a drink so when I order a drink I ask do I order a hookah refill with you or do I get another hookah guy she says with me so I do. 30 min past so I asked the hookah guy. For some reason when he brings me the hookah she looks angry at me. I ignore it I order another drink for me I say my tab is open she looks says no with a bad attitude. I look down the last person had brought back my card my back was to the bar so I aint see. She gives me a mean as look. Look if you having a bad day dont put out on me. I tipped and left.

The venue is cool, food and hookah was good. But of course, as with most NYC places, the service was sub par. We asked them multiple times to change the weak music they were playing. We were looking for more of a soca/rnb/hip hop vibe. They were playing Mediterranean, Latin, pop music etc. From a YouTube playlist. They tried to act like requesting music was such a big deal, when literally no one in the venue was enjoying the music they were playing. They kept saying the music would “rotate” but it never did. Until someone had a birthday party and requested the music we had requested an hour + earlier. Once they started playing rnb/hip hop everyone was hype. They should’ve listened to us from the beginning, but maybe they only value certain customers. Also our server would come check on us every 40 mins. And took forever to take our check, so we had to ask the manager to take our check.

Coming all the way from Yonker was an excellent experience, we sat at the bar and the bartender named Tito was excellent. Excellent service.

Try their mozerella sticks. So good!Live DJ and the place is nice and dark. But not to the point that you cant see whose infront of you.It can get crowded since the front part of the lounge is club like with all the open space, but youll definitely have a good time!

I will not be going back due to the fact that i ordered a drink with rum only to find out that my rum drink was made with Vodka and i was not informedthat there was no rum. When i confronted the bartender about it she lied then said they did not have any rum and was told that we wouldntbe charged for our drinks only to be charged at the end. I will not be recommending this place to anyone i know

This place thinks they are a Jimmy Bronx cafe or something!! I went there on a super slow Tuesday night, with about 6 people max in the lounge! and they charge $20 plus gratuity for a small plastic cup of Hennessy with soda!! I’m scared to ask for the price of the same drink on weekends!!. $8 plus for Coronas! The owners are out of there mind!! Just for that I will never head back in there!! No way to keep your customers happy with ridiculous pricing!! And beware of bartenders! They are very young and will short change you by a lot!! I’m not the only reviewer to say this! Very dishonest!! It looks like there business only thrives on weekends!!
