Truly some of the best small plates in NYC. Fantastic wine selection and incredible guidance from the staff regarding pairings. Definitely try the ricotta and figs, and their prosciutto is sliced fresh in front of you and is worth every penny. Great date spot, or place to share a bunch of tasty dishes with a group of friends.

Delicious Italian small plates in a cozy West Village spot. We came in on a Sunday night for dinner and got a table for 3 people without any problem. We tried 2 crostinis, the white fish and the brussel sprouts salad. We particularly enjoyed the crostinis. The staff was so friendly. Looking forward to coming back and sitting in the garden!

So unpleasant experience. I went to celebrate my friends birthday 5 people, we were waiting for the previous clients to leave so we can sit on a table, then suddenly another woman sits right away claiming that it was her birthday and that she and her friends will be sitting there. None of the waiters step in to solve the inconvenience; one waitress stopped by and asked us to move to another table without enough space to sit. They never listened to us or made anything to understand and come with a solution. I will never go again, and I do believe the staff is completely unhelpful and useless.

Short review: Terrible. Farcical. An embarrassment. Do not go here. Stay away.Long review: Easily the worst restaurant experience I have had in New York. The service was mystifying. The waitress would approach our table and not say anything. Just stand there. With no cue on what she wanted from us. She proceeded to spill wine all over our table.I ordered a pot pie. It arrived cold with raw meat and potatoes inside. I pointed this out to the waitress. She said “awww” and RAN away with it. No apology, no explanation of how she was going to fix it. I was going to tell her not to bother reheating it, but she was gone too quickly. My partner went and grabbed the manager-ish guy at the bar. He approached the table with a glazed and distant look in his eye. I told him I did not want the pie and that I’d take the check. He then tried to grab my partner’s dish while she was eating it.Either this was some sort of joke or the entire staff was hammered drunk.

Unfortunately, we had a very unpleasant experience at your restaurant. While we understand the need to wait for a table, especially during busy times, we were treated rudely by your staff. After waiting 30 minutes, we were repeatedly moved around the restaurant in an unfriendly manner. When one of our party briefly sat at a recently vacated table, a waiter yelled at her that she couldnt sit until he cleaned it, even though she wasnt impeding his work. We understand the fast-paced nature of the NYC restaurant industry, but theres no excuse for treating guests with such disrespect. Im sorry if the waiter had a bad day, but this behavior was highly unprofessional.

It’s mid-September and it’s the perfect weather in NYC…not too hot, not too cold..cool. Out for a walk I stumbled across Gottino. Feeling peckish I stopped in and grabbed a table for one in their garden. It was “brunch” time so the menu reflected the time I stopped in but there was enough to pick from that wasn’t all carbs and sweet. Started with picking the libation… perused the wine list and ordered a Nebbiolo. For my entree ordered the asparagus and goat cheese fittata. Everything was great. Quickly seated (they let me pick where) and there wasn’t an ungodly long time between ordering and actually eating. The frittata was just how I liked it. Crispy edges but a firm pillowy center. Perfectly sized and just delicious. I definitely will be back.

A pretty nice spot. Beer selection is limited but extremely solid. Gottino only serves quality craft beers; they are mainly a wine-serving establishment. There is typically a Sixpoint beer on tap. I’ve also had a Smuttynose Baltic Porter. Value is decent - about $7 for a glass (can’t recall if it was a full pint). The food is delicious and not outrageously expensive. As a plus, Gottino is open until 2am so it is a fantastic spot for a late-night - but delicious and well-made - snack. Ambiance is exceptional. The long, marble bar serves as the the main focal point, with much of the food prepared right behind the bar for all to see. There is also an outdoor seating area, which is quite pleasant. Not a fantastic beer destination, but a fantastic location at which you can get a great beer.
