First time karaoke here in Korean town and I love it! the place is in the 3rd floor but thankfully there is an elevator. The place looks fun with all the colorful lights and the staff are super friendly. We paid $12/hr per person for 8 people. We didn’t buy any drinks or food. The restroom is clean with complimentary sanitary napkin if you need it :)

Horrible horrible place, first time I went there they rejected our confirmation that we had. Apparently if you don’t get a text but get an email then the confirmation doesn’t work and you’re denied from the place. Absolutely ridiculous, an email confirming shouldn’t be sent if it’s not actually confirmed. We made plans and they just brushed it off like it’s no big deal that our confirmation was fake. Doesn’t make sense. Then we go a second time and actually make it in and get a room because we got a real confirmation and the service, rooms everything was horrible no updated music, so dirty and smelly. I will definitely never go back to this place even if it’s the last place available!

One of the better karaoke options in K-town. I rented for 20 people and the cost was $408 cash. There is a big difference if you pay with cash and card — they quoted me $480 for card. They have an ATM on premise I believe. Song selection is great and it’s BYOB which is probably the best part.

They squeezed our group in for an hour in-between their reservations because we had lucky timing. The karaoke was fun, clean, and had updated english songs and was easily searchable on our phones. The room was spacious and they even gave us little free snacks which was nice! They sell beers and seltzers at decent prices for Manhattan. Only thing is their weekend reservations fill up super fast!

This is the worst experience I have ever had at a karaoke bar. I had booked via the website days in advance, and the day before I received confirmation for my reservation. I had to call, because on the website to original confirm my reservation the least amount of people I was allowed to book was 6, when on a different page of the website, there was a room availability for a 4 person group. But, that was only the beginning of my problems. 2 days in advance, I called 3 times. No response. The night before I called to see if I could change my reservation to 4 people. They answered the phone after another 3 calls - spaced out throughout the night. Once they answered, they changed my reservation. To confirm that I did not need to bring ID, I asked. And to which he said No you do not. So, I assumed my friends and I did not need to bring ID as we were not ordering drinks there but bringing our own. The night of, there was a huge storm outside with thunder lightning, and floods of rain. After climbing 3 flights of stairs to Gagopa as the elevators were out of service, we were denied entry because we did not carry ID, as we assumed we did not need to. Not only were we not denied, we were urged to leave. When I tried to reason, explaining that it was my birthday and I had reserved the room and I had ID, I was snapped at by the employee and he told me to leave. If you are looking for a friendly place to have fun for the night, this is NOT the spot for that. I have never been disrespected like that before and I hope no one else has to.

Not sure how one is supposed to review a karaoke place. What are the criteria? The music list? The drinks? The food? Im not really sure. The song list is actually quite extensive. There are all the predictable favorites, but there are a number of relatively more obscure tunes as well. The food and drink options are nothing special, but Im not sure anyone expects anything better. The decor is the usual tiny tacky karaoke bar decor.

A good choice for a karaoke place, at the heart of K-town. The booths are very soundproof, we were screaming our lungs out on multiple occasions with no problem. The music selection is huge and updates constantly, and the staff is very friendly. They even give you free water bottles when your time is up. A big plus is being able to bring your own alcohol when coming to Gagopa, and not just relying on buying it there. Although they do have a selection there. Get the flavoured Soju, its great!

My coworkers and I came here for an end of the year party. The supervisors were paying for it ourselves so we were looking for a way to keep it reasonable, but all the other karaoke places we reached out to were either too small or WAAAAY expensive (maybe because its holiday party season). Because Gagopa was BYOB, the cost was affordable and we had an AMAZING time. We originally booked for three hours but had so much fun we extended it to five. We ordered pizza, which was brought right up to our room and Gagopa supplied the plates, napkins, etc. The service was great, people came in periodically to check on us, clear out trash, etc. and a staff-member took photos of our group so we could all be included. Great bar on the second floor for when you need a break from singing Avril Lavigne songs and remembering your best days.Rooms are nice and comfortable. Mics are solid. Service is good. Bathroom lines are short. Overall great.

This is the go to karaoke bar! Open late, clean with nice rooms and a decent selection of songs. They dont skimp on the mics either so you will be able to have multiple people singing out of tune together.Drinks are reasonably priced with a decent selection. If youre looking for a karaoke spot you should hit this place up.

This place okay as compared to others in koreatown. They charged us way more than they initially mentioned. Not worth the price. The room was very dirty and especially the song books were all wet with alcohol, sticky with food from previous days and smelled way too bad when opened. It was difficult to pick our and search for songs with these dirty books. They do have BYOB option but they charged us for bringing own food and booze. This was not mentioned before and based on cleanliness and extra charges that they add, better try some other karaokes nearby.

It was so easy to make reservations for my bf’s birthday for this karaoke bar on a Saturday night. They were even so flexible when I had to call and change the reservation time the day of. Love that it’s byob. Best prices compared to any of the other karaoke spots nearby. Highly recommend. Thank you to the staff for making our night so wonderful!

UPDATE: Still my favorite karaoke spot, the owner is so polite and I got free champagne on my birthday. This will always be my go to karaoke spot. Private rooms, 1 hour is like $32, you need minimum 2 hours to enjoy. OLD: Fun place, easy service and great song selection, u can search the website for songs before you go as well.

Excellent service options, they offer free use phone chargers and let you bring in your own alcohol (no hard liquor). They charge 8$/h for each person which is reasonable for the location. Selection is good but there is option for looking at top ten/popular songs. You can search using their website.

For certain people, this is the quintessential NYC karaoke experience. Enter through a filthy, terrifying hallway, and take a coffin-like elevator up to a magical land of lights and music. Most importantly, its BYOB, so the usual crazy costs of a karaoke night can be kept very very reasonable. Its also in the heart of Korea Town, so after-party food options are endless (and delicious).

BYOB karaoke spot with lots of songs and various sizes of rooms. Beer and wine only. You pay hourly per person. Solid song list. Clean rooms. You can bring food or have it delivered. Accommodating with giving you cups, utensils, etc.Price is 8-10 per person per hour ... With a minimum of four people I think? Easily the best price of any BYOB karaoke in Manhattan.

One of my favorite karaoke places in the city simply because its BYOB and because the prices are generally 8/person which is great scaling when you have large groups. Located up a tiny ass elevator in a nondescript building, youll be dumped out into a glitter and lights fiesta when you first hit the karaoke spot.Theyre super serious about being on time if youve reserved and make sure you have ID cause they will ask. Rooms are clean and pretty big, Ive had groups of ~20ish and we had no problems with space. Song lists are solid, the music videos are generally a bunch of stock photo people pretending to do things (its hilarious) and the sound system is easy enough to figure out so you dont blow out your ear drums.Do yourself a favor and reserve if you go, rooms fill up quick on weekends.

Not the fanciest place and its situated in a office type building (with a very small elevator) but its BYOB and BYO food which is great. They offer one of the best prices in the city. Their music list is very extensive. The staff was pretty friendly and helpful to the group that I was with even though they did switch us to a smaller room before our time was up which we were okay with. I would go back, we had a really nice time.

Really fun! Went with a group of ~15 people. We reserved a room for 2 hours and ended up extending it a little longer because we were having a blast. Plus, they thought of everything: extra outlets for phone chargers, mini shower caps over the microphones to keep germs off, tambourines, and even complementary waters on your way out.Warning--dont be late. Even though we offered to pay for the karaoke room the whole time, they freaked out at us because they had to hold the room until we arrived.

I love this spot! The room for 12 people was small but the festive disco lights and friendly, accomodating staff make up for it! The service is a mess. We arrived to the place after having struggles with the elevator and the security guard didn’t even let us get down asking if we had any reservations. We were confused as we went before without any reservation, and when we tried to ask they told us “if you don’t have any reservations you need to leave now, you can’t be holding the line”. We tried to ask again because we were panicking with the sudden statement and they signaled us to get back to the elevator without further explanation. I don’t recommend this karaoke to anyone.

I recommend that you try another place just to be safe. Have fun everyone. This place is out to rip you off, but nice otherwise. I paid for a bottle of soju, and they denied that I did even though I had a 5 dollar bill in my wallet having paid 15 for the bottle with a 20... They refused to let me back in with my friends until I payed for the same bottle a second time. it even though they knew I did. I was a about to but 3 more bottles when this happened and they were not nice about it. With so many choices for kareoke, I think you should check out another place.
