Didnt mention anywhere on the website or at the facility that certain rooms had song limitations. Cam here to sing kpop and there were a total of like 10 songs available. We were told only ONE room has kpop songs.

I love this place. I only started coming here a couple months ago, but now I come here pretty regularly. The staff are all very friendly, and its one of the few places that have a decent selection of hard rock and metal.

It was a great experience with my friends, we enjoyed the time but we wanted an extra hour and we didnt get it ;(.Service is friendly, nice, and affordable prices.Clean restrooms, big rooms for 15 people, or max 20.

Solid karaoke spot with a great happy hour, friendly staff, and reasonable rates. The equipment is relatively modern and the rooms are spacious and clean. Great place for some afternoon singalong.

Clean, spacious, and fun... The drink prices are fair, the selection of songs are pretty recent to classic. The tech is easy to manage and enter songs. Food options are limited as they only have a microwave for a kitchen.

Best place to karaoke in Manhattan! Private rooms to accommodate all size groups. Marathon on weekends for $14 from 1-8pm and happy hour on drinks! They have a new system for entering songs using an iPad - makes searching so much easier compared to using the book!

The staff was not accommodating because we were one person over even after telling them someone had left allowing us to go in. They were very curt and unfriendly in their answers to our question. Additionally, the setting was mediocre at best. But they were good at explaining fire code.

Easy online booking and they were super nice in allowing me to change the time of my booking time 1 hour before my reservation. When arriving, you must show your ID at the front with the bouncer. The room itself was clean and spacious. The song picking is done via an iPad. Physical song books are available upon request. The drinks are super affordable ranging from $8-10!! You place an order using the rooms walled phone. Service was quick and attentive. the final bill had no surprises and the cashier was kind enough to point out that gratuity was already included! Wonderful experience and plan on coming again!!

I was having a great experience here until there was clear misogyny amongst the staff towards the women in my group. We had one situation where our friend (the only male in the group) went and ordered a drink and came back with it with no problem. I tried his drink and enjoyed it and figured I’d go order my own. Upon arriving to the bar, with my friend btw, we noticed that the staff were speaking amongst each other about me. Of course, we didn’t assume anything as they (the staff) had treated us nicely thus far. However, as soon as I got my drink, we were HOUNDED by one of the female staff members who suddenly remembered she had to take a look at everyone’s ID.We had one 18 year old in our group, my sister who I am the legal guardian of, and they forced me and my friend out of our room. Even when I tried to explain very nicely that I was her guardian AND to add to the fact that the place is monitored 24/7 so even if we wanted to give her a drink we couldn’t anyways, we were still forced out the room thus dipping into our time that we paid for to karaoke.Like I said, I was enjoying my time her until there was some weird “policy” enforcing towards me and me only. I try to treat everyone in customer service with respect as I also work in customer service, but the blatant disrespect and rudeness for whatever biases is not cool. I wish this place would fix this as we always have a good time here until one of us (the girls) starts getting bullied.

It was a bit of a process to get a time booked that would work for our schedule and we had to know how long we wanted to reserve up front, but once we started it was a blast. There are so many songs to choose from. Everything is controlled from an iPad and it even allows you to skip songs if they dont work out. Had a great time with my family here.

A good place to sing with friends!

Staff is friendly. Prices are great - nice and cheap no frills karaoke. Drinks are cheap, a bit on the weaker side though. Snacks are also affordable. This place rocks though because the rooms are comfortable, the song selection is solid and when you have a group singing along, its so much fun. You can still have a good time here as a couple also. Last time I was here it was a group of coworkers on a happy hour; today it was my girlfriend and I.Will definitely be back again. Pro tip is to do a reservation to ensure you get the most out of your time. They can get very busy here if you walk in.

This is my go to spot after work. They have happy hour at this location, before 8pm and their rates are the best. Their drinks are made with love (try the tequila sunrise) and their staff are so nice. This place tends to get very busy so be sure to call and make a reservation or you might not get a room right away. Great for big and small groups and even their little rooms have AC. Book a room for 3 hours at least you wont be disappointed. I also love that they carry a ton of healthy metal songs!

Great experience. We had a group of 10 and there was plenty of room. The song navigation can be a bit confusing but it’s a fun time.The waitstaff are helpful and attentive and will ensure your group has a good time. Recommend for anybody looking for a group activity.

Great service and value! Came here for a bachelorette party and had a great time in a clean private room that was extremely reasonably priced. The happy hour drinks are only $3 each (including shots!) and they allow outside food and deliveries in! The staff is lovely and I would definitely come again.

Favorite place to do karaoke! The happy hour pricing for karaoke is amazing but the prices are reasonable in general. They allow you to bring food in which is great when you have a large party but you can’t bring in drinks. However, you get drinks at a great price. The music selection is vast and you won’t run out of old or new songs to sing. Can’t wait to come back with a larger party!

This was the first time I visited Duet 48 as I’d always gone to Duet 35 in KTown. While both have great atmospheres, I preferred Duet 48! For the same prices, it provides more spacious rooms. I was with my brother and you can see how large the room was for just two of us. The two-person rooms at 35 are quite small. We were also brought a jar of water at the start of our session for free. We’ve never gotten free water at 35.

Its always a good vibe for couple or family setting... sing your life away in your own room and enjoy feeling like a pop star all in ine... the food not so good and iver priced and the options and choices on the menu is limited compared to other karaoke spots i been too but overall. Its a family oriented and friendly vibe. Been here 8 times and planning to go again and again 🥳

This place has set the bar really high for me in terms of a nice karaoke place. The selection of songs is always up to par and the staff is very friendly and courteous. They have a nice food selection and have a delivery menu from nearby restaurants in case their menu isnt appealing. My friend always gets a good deal that makes it affordable to spend an entire afternoon there. I havent found a place that matches the excellence of this bar. Highly recommended.

I dont think you can ever go wrong with the Duet karaoke chains. They have some of the cheapest rates around and cheap drinks too (especially during happy hour)! Service is good and the rooms are very well kept. I would highly recommend taking advantage of their karaoke marathon deal (1 pm - 8 pm is only $12 or $14 per person!). Best to make reservations ahead of time because theyre such a popular karaoke spot.

More on the expensive side. They have some pretty new songs though in an updated book, which was what we used for the most part. Lots of cocktails and single drinks, but very few bottles for our large group. We basically had to choose between one type of sake or Jack. Controls were hard to figure out as theyre all in Japanese, and the various volume controls are overly sensitive. Staff was quite accommodating and super nice!!

I love this place because its classic private room karaoke. It also needs some improvement. The prices are great, but sometimes the service can be iffy, drink lines can be a bit long, and furniture goes without TLC for a while. Im so happy they improved the song request system and have hope that theyll keep getting better with time!

Weekends have lower rates, I recommend the 12-8pm, up to 4 ppl for $70. Drinks/food not included but a bargain anyhow. Have fun singing!!!Ok bye

Huge rooms with adjustable sound levels as you rock out some power ballads with friends. The atmosphere and the quick & friendly staff reminds you more of a really nice hotel than the seedy karaoke places you may be used to. Great value, good selection of songs, a hidden gem.

I came here for a friends birthday. I had a blast! I love the fact that youre able to secure a nearly soundproof space for just you and your party. The service was impeccable. I highly recommend that everyone does this at least once.

Its an alright place. They rent rooms and you can order snacks, foods and drinks ( both alcoholic and non alcoholic). I believe there are certain affiliated restaurants that you can order from for delivery.Would rate a 5, but I thought the rooms were a little cramped up and claustrophobic for me. They have a tiny window on each door which even though removes a bit from the isolated feel, it can still be bothersome to a bunch of people as people from outside can look in.Make sure to book in advance as it might be hard to find a walk in room especially on weekends. I would definetly go again!

Always great fun! Fast service, somewhat reasonably priced drinks and snacks (although their prices seem to have risen recently). Their other locations (Karaoke Duet 35 and 53) are both less busy and honestly just a tad nicer in my opinion, but all are very good.

The song selection is excellent! i was pleasantly surprised multiple times. (5star song selection for hardcore singers out there. i also love the ability to adjust the key). its honestly my preferred karaoke spot in manhattan and much cleaner than its 34th street sister location. the snacks are bomb and service is on point. remember to tip them well!half star off for spotty tech. sometimes the tv or mics would have issues, but its not often. sound quality could also be better. music videos are also often not the original. still, i had a blast!

Went in with a group of 15 at 7pm and was told that everyone should go to room. we can pay upon leaving. I asked what would be the price per person if we were to stay until 9pm. And we were told $9 by the cashier as it was part of a special, this I asked her several times to be 100% sure.Once everything was over, I collected $9 from everyone and most of everyone left. since some people came later and some left earlier, I wanted to make sure the total head count they had was 15 and that reconciled just fine with their count.When I was ready to pay, they changed the price from $9 to $15 per head. Their logic being that we were given a room at 7 before the night special and we had to pay for the previous special as well, which was for $6.I explained to manager, we were all immediately sent to room and I was told the price would be $9 by the register lady. She was called out and questioned denying the whole thing. Manager had the balls to say I was lying to him and that I was just trying to cheat him and that the price would remain. Little did he realize I am a repeating costumer and I hold 2 of their stamped cards, which grant me a free hour. After much back and forth with the manager I was forced to used my free hour card to shut him up and avoid the additional fees. The good news is, he had to go with the earlier special of $6 and received less money from me than he wouldve gotten if he had been true to the original price of $9.I still have a second half stamped card left, and dont plan on using it or coming back to this establishment again. Not only did they attempt to cheat me but they embarrassed me in front of coworkers and friends.

Love this place! Great for large or small groups. They allow for byob for a ten dollar charge per person, theres a great liquor store east of this spot for future reference. Great selection of songs, staff here is fantastic and I definitely reccomend it!

This place is very fun and very fair. My experience here was the best first time experience Ive ever had at a Karaoke bar. Yesterday I had my birthday celebrated at this bar, they treated us friendly and also allowed us to bring outside food. I highly recommended this clean place because happy hour starts the minute they open, I will definitely return to this spot

Good all around, but their videos arent airways the official ones. In my groups 2 hour visit, arranged in advance via the website, Id say the group had commented about the odd video selection for 75% of the songs, or unknown versions of the songs wed wanted to use. Words were still the same, but the music wasnt the original in all cases.

In this karaoke place you can Sing with your friend in private rooms. Our room was pretty confortable. Two wireless microphones. One tablet to compose our playlist from a vast variety of songs. We could tune master/music/micros volumes as we pleased. We had an intercom to communicate with the staff too. The only con was that AC was too cold and the system was centralized !? A part from that we enjoyed our two hours sing-time. And the price was quite affordable too!!

I love the marathon karaoke. You can sing as long as you want until 8pm for $12-14 per person. It works great when you have friends that want to come and go as they please. Everyone pays up front and youre not left with a huge tab at the end.

Went on Friday with some coworkers. We enjoyed ourselves so much we kept extending our time. At 10:35, they turned the lights on and disabled music selection for our room so that we would leave by 10:40. One person paid the bill, which was over $500. As we were leaving, a busboy harasses us saying we didn’t even leave $100 tip, that we should be embarrassed at how disrespectful we are and that they would “remember our faces.” This location doesn’t serve food—we had to order delivery from the local pizza place, and so we tipped them. Then every time a round of drinks was brought out, we tipped. Then at the end, the one person who paid for 10 people left tip and this man had the audacity to badger us for more when collectively we spent hundreds on tips? Conscious that we were a big group and had a lot of food, we cleaned up after ourselves, organized our garbage and threw it out. All they had left to do was take our drinks away and wipe down the table. And he wants $100?for that? My colleagues and I walked away in disbelief, although I wished I had told a manager how unprofessionally we were being treated. This isn’t the only karaoke bar with good prices. I will not come back and I will always “remember the face” of the man who complained his tip was too small. If anyone asks me, I will refer them elsewhere.

It was a really great atmosphere. There are private rooms suitable for dates or small groups of friends and larger rooms bigger groups to rock out kareoke style. The song listing is extensive and the hourly price is reasonable.

Wasnt expecting to be carded or to have bags searched, yet it makes sense. Lots of cross-traffic in the entry...some stanchions would go a long way! Overall, had a great time, however need to add The Bangles & Sia to the Tunes options.

They upgraded some of their equipment since I was last there before COVID. We had a great time, very prompt service, but the room is a bit dilapidated, could use a refresh.

They gave me the first room upon entering which was very snug and small for a party of 4. It was my birthday and I made reservations. I went to the bathroom which was far back into the establishment and I saw many empty rooms which made me feel really hurt that they would give me the smallest room.

Pro: Cheap. They have many songs. They are friendly.Con: It takes some time for next song, 3 dollar orange juice came as half filled cup. Sound quality is ok.

If you want to sing Japanese songs of almost all kinds, this is the place! The snack here was fine, you can go without them, but their takoyaki (octopus balls) was worth the try if you want something to eat.

Nice friendly staff, good deals on karaoke, respectable prices for drinks.They also randomly play Miyazaki Hayao movies (think Totoro, Princess Monoke) and Gundam anime on the screens in the common area where you order drinks.Whats not to love?

They have clean, private rooms as well as a bar. The big room is great for a huge party. Staff is nice, and drinks cost what youd expect in Manhattan.

I think this is the only Duet that does Happy Hour EVERYDAY! :) Staff is nice, equipment has been updated, song lists is extensive and you can search for things on their new iPad remote system!

I absolutely love duet. Duet 48 is my favorite of the ones in NYC, the space is good. The cons of Duet is that the air conditioning/heating leaves a lot to be desired within the rooms and it can get stuffy very quickly while inside. However, they have an extremely large selection of music, the people working there are all very kind and accommadating, and its a place I go to regularly.

If you are looking for a cheap place to get your Kelly Clarkson on in NYC, head to Duet 48 in Midtown East. Happy Hour during the week extends to the actual rental price for the individual karaoke rooms. Drinks are $3 and the room per person per hour during HH is $4. It’s a great time, and to answer your lingering question: yes, they have ALL of your favorite songs. Sing your heart out!

Hands down the best kareoke spot in the city. Friendly staff and great prices. They were fully booked one night and were kind enough to give us a room at their other location nearby.

This place has become like my home away from home. My girlfriend and come here a LOT. Its really nothing fancy but it doesnt have to be. You come in, get a room and sing karaoke. In that regard, its absolutely perfect.

The place is great when you can finally reserve a room but in terms of customer service the seems very rude when it comes to trying make reservations I have been trying to reserve a room since Saturday and staff that answers the phone have now for the past 3 days pushed me ado and different times through the phones for making a reservation i have been lied to about times to call multiple times and I have complied already calling time and time again but no service just someone saying their very busy and hanging up on me no help whatsoever ive been trying to make this reservation on Monday it is now Thursday and its almost time for the event im trying to have with my friends on Saturday this is very bad service

The employees stole a very important hat and made the situation very difficult when I asked to check the cameras to make sure I had my hat ! Very disgusting how employees steal from customers. They were in the total WRONG.

Typical Asian Karaoke hall with your private rooms to sing with friends. They charge per person there which seems to be strange to me that they should charge by the room instead.

I just called to make a reservation for 10 people. The person who answered the phone stated it would be $65 per hour. I said thats fine. He said theres also a required 15% gratuity. I said The gratuity is required? It did not mention gratuity as a requirement on the website. He said if you have a problem with it you dont have to make a reservation and HUNG UP ON ME.

Good service and friendly staff, prices also good for modern day NYC. This place is definitely a NYC staple. Their karaoke machine isnt as good as the old ones though, seems hard to find songs. Maybe I was a bit drunk but Im sure others will share my thoughts about the iPad interface .

My group had such a great time here this past weekend! We were able to deliver food to our room and they had a wide selection of drinks for us to choose from. The staff was very accommodating and super friendly and they made the experience even better.

Great time was had by all.The trick to finding songs..do not type the entire name when searching just put the first few letters.Also, no food is sold, so eat well before you arrive. Or, bring snacksDrinks a decently priced.

The place was nice. After a certain hour, they card you right outside the door. I loved the private rooms and the fact that you can have food delivered. Their food menu is mostly snack items. You can bring food in as well. They have a large and diverse catalog of songs. You can order drinks right from the room. The staff was nice, attentive. I would go there again. If you drive in, make sure to reserve a spot at one of the 3 garages on that block.

One of the better local spots for private room karaoke. Why? They have rooms of all sizes that make it convenient for you. I can get very busy if you walk-in so make a reservation advance to make the most of it. Very solid song selection in different languages with clean and comfortable rooms to channel your inner rockstar. Always liked this location because the prices are great and youre allowed to bring in outside food. Staff is friendly, fast and attentive. Always had a great experience and fun times here.

The only Duet Karaoke with happy hour for both drinks and the room! For only 16$ a person between 4-8pm you can enjoy a karaoke session with you and your best friends. Rooms are very clean and cozy, can get a bit warm but just ask and theyll happily turn on the AC! Very kind and helpful staff. Definitely recommend for a night of good fun!

I would suggest adding newer songs and more songs in other languages. Also, the videos in the background while singing are kinda off-putting

The place is spacious, not BYOB but the prizes for drinks were reasonable. They have since update the couches so don’t worry. Only negative review was the sticky table. Other than that they give you mic covers too sing your heart out.

Best private karaoke spot in Manhattan. Love this place, I even come from midtown west. Instead of presenting in front of 20 people and waiting your turn, you get your own room - drinks/food - and sing to your hearts desire in a small private room with significant others. Love the concept, place, all of it!

They are very attentive. We love to karaoke and this places has so many songs and recent songs as well. I personally feel like the Happy Hour is the best time to come. Because of their Amazing happy hour deals. Another bonus is their good service!

Duet has 3 locations (that Im aware of) around midtown Manhattan and conveniently on both the East and West sides of the island. Duet 48 was welcoming the only location welcoming of a minor in our group as long as no alcohol was consumed in the private room. Their rates of $8 per hour per person are among the cheapest in midtown for Friday and Saturday nights. While they have a decent bar there arent too many snack options, but outside food is welcomed*. Their song selection is up to par featuring classic karaoke favorites and todays hits. The controls are simple to operate and the buttons are labeled for your convenience.

I frequent all of the Duets in the city, but 48 is my favorite. It has the best staff and the best crowd. Its really easy to spend hours here. I really have no complaints ever.

This place is awesome! It has very reasonable, even cheap, prices for their rooms and their happy hour deals that last until 8, I believe, are a very good deal with $3 mixed drinks. Overall great place to go out and hang with friends.

Always enjoy stopping by with friends or family, especially for marathon. Karaoke rooms, pay by person per hour usually except marathon. Lots of songs in English, Japanese, Chinese, Spanish, Korean... great selection. If you just want to sing for an hour, thats ok too! Dont forget to get their stamp cards!

Decent prices and are open late. Wished they had more recent music options but they did have super popular ones. Overall, fun experience.

They have K-pops from the TJ media machine and a $16 karaoke marathon deal that I love! The only drawbacks are that they dont have new songs from 2 years ago and the sound of microphones are kinda weak. Other than that, I was very happy there and I will go back!

Very good prices for a spot in the city. Enormous variety of songs and drinks. The service from the waitresses was pleasant as well. The individual in the front desk that helped my group out was informative and accommodating.

Daytime marathon karaoke! $14 to sing all day - but make sure to make a reservation around holidays. Drinks are also half off during the day. They have a great song selection that you can now search and choose via a tablet. Great service and anime while you wait!

This spot is nice for groups looking to sing together. They only have rooms which makes it easy for groups to sing and chill together. In addition, they let u bring in outside food but no outside drinks.

Overall a nice place. A bit pricey but the music selection is vast and the rooms are pretty sound proof. Pregame elsewhere if youre picky about your drinks. The seating and set up in the rooms help create a chill atmosphere. Being able to bring your own food makes this place all the better.

Love this place!! Its best to do the half off happy hr during the weekends between 2-8, and the marathon karaoke for $14. Its a great place with a nice helpful staff, strong drinks and a growing music list.

This is my favorite karaoke spot ever! The price is right, all around! Drinks and food are very affordable and it’s nice and clean. Love it!

A very nice atmosphere, clean facilities, and pleasant staff. Food could be better in terms of selection and quality (it was microwaved) but it works for snacking while drinking and singing. My advice: eat before you go. I had beer, but my friends had hard alcoholic drinks, and said they were watered down. Music videos did NOT correlate to songs in most instances. That was a bit of a bummer. Overall its a good karaoke experience.

Although a bit further from the subway station on the east side, I also like this Karaoke Duet location. The rooms are spacious and clean. You can bring or order food from outside, but you cant bring in outside drinks. Because this location is so far out, it is likely to be the least booked up. The prices are also cheaper if you come here, on Fridays, Saturdays or the night before holidays. Instead of $8.50/hour, this location is only $8/hour. But for an even better deal, go for the karaoke marathon, the price is only $12-$14 depending on the day of the week for about 6 hours or so TOTAL!

Lowkey. Kinda dark. But cheap drinks decent song selection. Pretty good work celebration. Bring your own food.

This place attempted to steal from our group of 13 colleagues. In fact we haven’t yet been refunded. They charged us 2x for the same charge, denied it and made us give THEM PROOF of the charges. Beware! Do not give them your credit card and be sure to request an itemized receipt for when you have to contest the charges. Horrible. Do not go.

I love the place, and love the playlist. But had an issue while entering the songs, it didnt accept them. And they told us that we had to put our phone in our airplane mode, and then to turn it off... Normally this didnt happen but on my last visit, this happened.

Went here for nieces 18th birthday. And it was so fun. Everyone really got into it. Having our own room was nice. And the drinks were good

Had a great time at karaoke duet. usually not a fan of the private-room karaoke spots as they can feel a bit cold and clinical, but that wasnt the case here. had a great time with a few friends, and they were flexible on the time as we arrived quite late.

They increased the price and gave us an old room with broken lights.... but the experience is still good, great song selection and cheap happy hour drinks did not change.

The rooms were clean and all but the pricing was horrible. They charged my friend and I $52 dollars for two hours. There were about 15 people in our room and they charged each person more and more. The service was terrible while getting our drinks. Will not go back here again.

Had a lot of fun here on Christmas Eve. Modern karaoke booths with iPads for searching for songs and queueing them up. Many songs have music videos to go with them, some of which are real. Decent selection of alcohol

Great place. They have private rooms, good song selection and u can stay all day for around 15$ per person. Or u can do around 6$ per hour per person.

You can bring it outside snacks, just not outside alcohol. The alcohol selection here is very good. The Karaoke Marathon rates are really good. See attached photo.

Great place. Bouncers are a bit pushy and take their job WAAAYYYY to serious for no reason. Its a karaoke bar, not a government building. Hahaha. Besides that, love the place. Will def go back.

I have been going here for almost 10 years now.Whether you want to sing enya over sake deep into the night, or reserve a room for a party of 10+ friends to sing anime openings or hits from the 80s and 90s, this is the place!It is never too crowded like its other locations, which is always very nice! I still recommend calling in for reservations however.Also, on weekends they have a Marathon special!Just one rule: Do not bring outside drinks! The drinks here (alcoholic or not) are reasonable, if not cheap anyway!

I love this place! I usually come here on Sundays with a group after boozy brunch since its cheaper during the day (cheaper per hour + drink specials).

Had a good time, however the screen started to spaz out. The drinks were not too good I ordered a margarita and it was horrible I had to return it. Not my top choice for karaoke however wasnt too bad, they are open late and is fun.

Went here with a group of friends for a party. Me and a friend asked if the check could be spilt for each because it is 12 of us and no one person can put that all on one credit card. They said yes they would accommodate. When it was time to go a new person took over and said that they dont do that. And they can only spilt it on 4 cards max. Mind you we spent 4 hours there and it was $40 a person. We didnt want to argue because we were angry for being lied to. So 4 of each divided it and put $120 on our cards. We wont be coming back to this place. Everything else was fine.

The place is great and decent price but the drinks are not good. They are extremely watered down and do not taste as they should example Moscow mule tastes as it should be a Cuba libre.

I went here at about 3pm in september and got a little drunk and I think I made some progress as a vocalist. But I usually think that if Im drunk. Karaoke is hard. Great atmosphere and friendly staff.

Smaller and stuffier than Duet 35. Air conditioning is kind of weak, and almost nonexistent in the smaller rooms. This Duet sometimes has a slightly different Japanese song selection from the other two, or at least the paper catalogs do.

Not sure how this place has a 4 star rating. If I could give it zero stars I would. Room was small, speakers were terrible, staff could not fix mics so they didnt sound grainy. The bass was up so high and supposedly they have no control other than volume up / down. No treble / bass adjustment. With 2 MICs the feedback screahing was horrible and the guy said maybe you are to close but we were as far away as room would allow. Quality of the karaoke system was also terrible. Dont waste your time here. The night previous we went to Japas 38 and it was amazing.

I go here to sing anime songs and drink in a dark room and ive never had a bad time
