La Pulperia is a great spot for Latin eats and drinks in Hells Kitchen. They have cocktail specials for happy hour, which we enjoyed including the Amano Sour, Mezcal-arita de la Casa, and an Espresso Martini. We didnt have it this time, but the YOLO glass is great if you want to share a pitcher of Sangria with friends, or drink it all by yourself!The Grilled Octopus and its garnishes are excellent as a starter. We also enjoyed the Ceviche Mixto and Guacamole & Chips. For dinner, the Skirt Steak & Fries is one of the signature dishes of this restaurant. They also have Churros for dessert which rock!

What a gem! We tried the pulperia, chips and salsa, and guacomole for appetizers. All great! My husband had never had tuna before, but he will now! The best.For dinner we had black paelle😉 Wow! The food was fresh and tasty. The drinks were all made fresh. Great stop for dinner.

Right in the theater district. Great spot for a show. Nice atmosphere, although a bit loud. Cheese empanadas were excellent app. Had the Argentinian Parridilla for 2. Enough for three people. Skirt steak and NY sirloin were very good. Ribs ok. Potatoes included were also excellently prepared. Flan as a dessert was a nice touch. The host was super friendly; especially on the way out.

Amazing food and drinks, service was friendly and very attentive (ask for Bryan and Emilio). I definitely recommend it if you want to spend a good time with friends this summer

OMG, had the best time celebrating my BBFs birthday at Pulperías Drag Queen Brunch! The brunch was delish (I had the pork tostadas and Loca cocktail) and the show was hilarious with a vogue competition and a party afterwards! If you wanna laugh, destress, decompress, release, look no further... Bring plenty of singles for the girls who will entertain the pulp out of you. Youre welcome. Lol.

Had the skirt steak with roasted potatoes. Mustve been one of the most juicy and flavorful steaks ever. Our waitress was super nice and friendly. Even gave us a complimentary bottle drink to toast the night. Thank you to all the staff for a wonderful experience.

Went for Happy Hour before a Broadway show. The atmosphere was awesome, music was great, the bartender was fun, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious. It was a great way to kick-off the weekend with a great mood.

We were looking for dinner before a show and came across this place. If you tell them you have a show to catch, theyll make sure you get out on time and rush your food orders which we appreciated. They do have a prefix theater menu but we ended up just sticking with the regular menu. Everything we got was delicious, flavorful and filling. We didnt have a reservation and had no problem getting a table right away on a week night.

My husband and I came to La Pulpería for our wedding anniversary dinner. They made a big deal out of it, moving us to “the best table” in the restaurant. The food was absolutely to die for, we had the lobster taquitos and the ceviche. Víctor, the owner, treated us to champagne and kind conversation; we truly felt like family. I highly recommend this restaurant, we’ll be going back soon.

The best food I’ve ever tried! My boyfriend and I, LOVE this place! The ceviche mixto is the best! Happy hour is the best time to go! 1.50$ oysters! And 9$ drinks! Organic chicken is delicious!!! We always sit outside, we can enjoy the food and the view as well.

Had a nice dinner here. Great cocktails. Highly recommend the Ceviche Mixto. Short rib puttanesca sauce was delicious but the pappardelle pasta was way under al dente. Service was friendly and offered great suggestions, but was very slow especially since the restaurant wasn’t fulll. Took 20 minutes to get dessert and then they brought the wrong item. Would recommend as long as you’re planning for a relaxed, leisurely meal.

Very very very tasty and fresh food. Expensive as well, but if its a special occasion, than definitely come over here. Red Sangria just a vibe. Not the best steak i had, but definitely different taste, very good service

Delicious dishes and great ambiance! The empanadas were amazing and we were pleasantly surprised to find they had Quilmes beer from Argentina. The small side dishes were a nice touch!

2 for the food 5/5 for the drag brunch show. My table all ordered different things and all were not impressed unfortunately. The salad did not taste washed and was poorly executed, the eggs benny was overly salty, and the steak and eggs were okay. The drag show was amazing fantastic performers ensure to bring cash to help tip for the amazin entertainment.

Service was okay. I went for brunch and got the omlette and it was fine but I think I just had higher expectations based off the reviews.

So much fun! Varied food choices and a really great drag performance. It was expensive but these places always are. The performance lasted about an hour, seating lasted about two. They were pretty good at refilling drinks for bottomless ($40 for mimosas $65 for cocktails)

I cannot recommend more of the grilled Branzino! It was carefully de-boned, juicy and fresh, served with a variety of sides (my favorite is Mac and Cheese). It was an off-menu recommendation by a waiter called Hector, who’s super funny and attentive. Their Cocktails are great too!

I quite liked this place! We wanted to watch a soccer game and saw it was packed so decided to go in. The service was good and very attentive during our whole dinner. The atmosphere was nice and the food was quite good! The Moqueca Mixta is a great option for two folks and the queso fundido was also very good. Sangria was also tasty!

I keep coming back, so that should tell you its just an outlier.The ambiance? Its a bit of a wild mix. The decor feels like theyre going for a party vibe, and the music is pretty loud. I wouldnt mind if they toned it down a bit, but it does add to the lively atmosphere.Starting with the guacamole--its not the best Ive ever had, but its good. I appreciate that they serve it with big tostadas instead of the usual small chips. Its a nice touch.The lobster taquitos are a highlight. Theyre nicely presented and very well seasoned. So as you may have noticed, when we depart on each new road adventure we try and keep our followers in the loop. We want to avoid any confusion related to the location of the posts that immediately follow, and we also want to hear if you have any great suggestions for us to experience and then share with others.It is for that second reason that we are most grateful to @alan_howe because when he read that we were headed to NYC he enthusiastically submitted several recommendations including “La Pulperia.”Their menu features rustic Latin cuisine and we found it immediately intriguing.We began our journey with the “King Crab Guacamole” and “Beef Empanadas” before transitioning to the “Roasted Chicken” and the “Moqueca Mixta.” The latter was so unbelievably delicious that our server brought over what we spontaneously referred to as “the mercy spoon” because he simply could no longer bear to watch me futilely attempt to extract the remnants of the sauce with my fork. (Sorry, not sorry.)Just when we thought our meals couldn’t possibly get any better Alan insisted that we try a “Pisco Sour” (which may just be the best cocktail that we’ve ever enjoyed). You won’t find it on the menu, so you’ll need to drop Alan’s name in order to be granted access to it. That might feel initially unnatural, but you’ll get used to it. Heck, I’ve been riding Alan’s coattails for years!Some would tell you that I have a way with words (and by that they’d mean that I use way too many of them). It’s with that backdrop that I report that my meal was so incredible that…I was speechless for a period of time (fact). It was a very enjoyable experience that we had in New York . We attended the brunch, the service and entertainment were excellent. If you have time and like to have fun and dance, I am sure you will have a very enjoyable time. The brunch menu could be expanded a little more, maybe it would be better if it was revised as a lunch menu instead of brunch and offered more food alternatives.

Amazing Drag Brunch on weekends! The unlimited mimosas did their thing ;), the food was delicious, service was great and the Drag show will keep you entertained 100%! Second time there and will comeback again!

We celebrated my birthday here, we loved it so much we came back for my boyfriends birthday. The food is always so flavorful, the drinks are amazing, and Karla makes us feel like family. All of the staff are amazing and we cannot wait to come again.

Nice food variety, good service and atmosphere. The thing I didn’t liked is that i order one paella and other food, and they brink us all the food 20min before the paella comes!!! So that’s doesn’t make sence. Would be nice if they fix that in the service.

Found La Pulperia searching open table for a place to eat, the reviews are spot on. The menu looked fantastic. We were all excited for different dishes. They did not disappoint. To start, we ordered the octopus special, and the octopus on the regular menu, tuna tartare, fried plantains, croquetas de bacalao, and lobster taquitos, everything was amazing. For our entrees, we ordered scallops, vegetarian enpanadas, pasta with veal and lamb, moqueca mixta, again the food was amazing we were practically licking our plates clean. The cocktail and wine lists were good. The margarita was far above average. Cannot wait to return. Ive already told several friends in NYC about it.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVEEEE THIS PLACE !!Everything is incredibly flavorful !! The flavors blew my mind !! The food here was well portioned, well seasoned & the vibe is rustic & lively. We had a few items including the plantains, sea bass, octopus, guacamole, mini tacos, salads & coconut rice. Each had a distinguish flavor and was very filling. The drinks are also amazing here and got quite the kick! Cool spot all around.

It was good food. Very solid taste and presentation was nice. I would probably bring my parents here when they come to visit, but I definitely was looking for more of a unique food experience. Everything is really lovely, the taste of the food is good, the ambiance is nice, drink was strong, but I’m not sure I’d come back again - at least not for dinner. I have heard brunch is amazing, so will consider coming back for that. Came here before a Broadway show and they were quick and staff were kind and attentive. I don’t have anything really negative to say, other than it just didn’t live up to the excitement expectations I had, especially for a pricier place (dishes are ~$25-40).

Had a very nice romantic evening at this great Spanish fusion restaurant. This wasnt our first time sowe were excited to get our favorite appetizers the lobster tacos and Bacalo croquettes. We followed with the two fish special of the day. The whole grilled Branzino and sautéed Halibut. It was well prepared and tasty. Halibut was a little over salty but forgivable. Then we had the flan..( please get this...you will be so glad you did)Very friendly wait staff and great vibe! Enjoy!

Came here with a group of 5. We got 5 appetizers, 3 main, 3 drinks and 2 desserts. Everything was pretty good (except the chocolate cake which was nothing special). Portion wasnt huge, a bit like having tapas. Lobster tacos were tiny. Moqueca Mixta was our favorite. We even ordered extra coconut rice and bread to soak up the sauce! We paid over just $60 per person. Overall a pretty good experience.

Wonderful service! Both restaurant specials fish ribs and stew were exceptional! The restaurant itself is very small but classy and located in heart of Hells Kitchen! They are very conscious of of theatre times and work very hard to help you enjoy your meal and get off to the theater on time. You will not be disappointed if you come here.

The staff here are terrible. Tipping themselves 20% and waited like 35 minutes to order a drink. Just skip it. There are much better places in the city.

I loved the atmosphere, the music the vibes, its a place to have a fun time. As for the food, the grilled octopus was ok but salty, the short ribs parpadelle was salty too; the oysters were good. The drinks are beautiful and delicious. I would go back for the vibes and to give the food a second chance.

Great intimate low key restaurant. They have happy hour oysters for $ 1.50. along with happy hour food and cocktails. There is an extensive tequila selection. And fresh made empanadas. Brunch specials too. A fun place to visit with outdoor seating.

Great for Happy hour with friends! Read all the reviews on Yelp and photos. The most convenient is reserved via Yelp directly. Had a dinner with a good friend on a weekday around 7PM. Cold and hot dishes were well presented. Both the clerk and price are friendly~ Will definitely go back one day.

New place alert ! Great ambiance and friendly staff. The food was delicious a mix of Latin American dishes with an American twist for some. I had a great time in this restaurant and excited to try different plates. They are building and outdoor area which should be nice for the summer to try one of the seafood towers 😋!!!

First time visit before seeing a broadway play. Live in Pa so googled place to eat. Will definitely be back. Both food and drinks were spectacular. We had the rib eye and salmon... I thought the salmon was best Ive ever eaten. Drinks handmade and fresh. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and will def be back!!!

I used to go to la pulperia when it was located on 46th st, as I work nearby and used to take clients and recommend it to some of my many guests (I work in hospitality as well). But this time I had a bad experience.Anyway, the moment I saw the menu, I asked a bunch of questions to the host, who also took his time to answer everything. So, theres a 5 dollar add on for drinks on the prix fixe menu. I asked how it worked, and he assured it would be that price for the drink of choice (in the case, sangria). In the end I was charged full price for the drinks, for all three of us, besides the first round.It was really sad to go through that because we were having a good time and talking about how our Argentinian guests would love that place, until we saw the +$70 on the bill. Will definitely not recommend it to anyone, and left us with a bad taste, especially after being a guest there so many times in the past and never having a problem (we even hosted our management Christmas party there once).Apparently the manager offered us a free round of extra drinks (we never saw him), but of course we didnt want it. The situation was not handled well.The servers were nice, and the cod croquettes were fantastic.However... Will definitely not come back, and they should word their special menu better. ☺️

What a major disappointment! My husband is from Argentina and passing by this place we were tempted to try Argentinian Parrillada. The place had a cool ambiance and looked inviting.The price tag of the parrillada was a whooping $95 for 2 so we were expecting to enjoy a quality plate. Let me start by saying that we received 3 small pieces of sirloin steak, a 3 inch skirt steak, 1 chorizo and a sad tiny piece of chicken drumstick. It was served with potatoes provençal and a mixed salad. The salad, by the way, was just mixed greens with few pieces of shaved carrots that by definition is hard to call a salad. The plate hardly looked like a $50 plate let along $95.The sirloin steak was okay but still chewy but I cant even describe the taste of the skirt steak! It was impossible to eat. The flavor and smell were funky and we didnt dare to eat it. I doubt that the spices can make it taste like that (not to mention that argentians do not use spices on steak) it was more like the quality of the cut was the cheapest one can find or it really went bad before it made to our table. Terrible!The staff was friendly and the server tried to salvaged the situation by bringing a dessert. The churros we got were okay, but didnt seem so fresh either.All the restaurants get a fee for using a credit card machine, but this one found a perfect solution by putting the charge back on their customers. A 3.99% is added to the total when paying by credit card. So unless you carry a bunch of cash with you--and who does these days?!--prepare to pay extra.We were very disappointed. My husband had been in another Pulpería when it was in the Little Brasil with the Argentine owner/manager. He had an amazing experience and we were looking forward to a great dinner.Even if divided by 2, this plate was the most expensive on the menu and the restaurant should be ashamed of the quality it had. And lastly, it should be called a Mixed Grill plate, at best, because it definitely does not deserve to be called Argentinian. We tried Parrillada in many places but by far this was the worst.Needless to say, we wont be back.

Great food- great location- staff was exceptional!

Man, disappointed. Im a local, stopped in with my partner for their happy hour, mentioned it when we went in, got sat at a table. (There were a total of 7 people in the whole place) They never asked for vax, which should have been a red flag. We had a few sharable things and 1 cocktail each, then the bill for $93 because the happy hour was only at the bar... would not normally complain but man did I feel had, especially since they full on knew we were there for the happy hour. (Also, I know it sounds petty in hindsight, but the food and drinks were honestly just ok..)

A perfect quiet spot for dinner after a night of Broadway! We snuck over to La Pulpería where a blend of Latino influenced fare waited for us. And boy were we pleased. Lively Latin music swallowed us into the atmosphere and we were on our way.Victor (manager) was an incredibly gracious host. Service was fantastic. Our server observed the table was wobbly and offered us to move spots. We ordered a few appetizers to share and each was delicious. The lobster taquitos were unique and tasty. The calamari was out of this world - with fried plantains. Never had calamari with plantains before! Amazing. Guacamole was fantastic …. Tostada-style chips included.The Michelada that my girlfriend had was truly authentic and just what she had been looking for her entire summer stay in NY.We will return to La Pulpería anytime we are again in New York City.

Went there for drag brunch. Back in the day their location was different and they would call the birthday people to participate in their little contest. These days, they would call for volunteers. The drag queens were great. Always a fun time!

The happy hour oysters didnt look right me, shrivelled and discoloured. They gave me the same plate after asking them to change those oysters for me. Other than that, the drinks n lobster taquitos were great.

We stumbled upon this restaurant randomly, after seeing happy oyster hour sign outside. The atmosphere was elegant, the oysters were delicious, and the staff was kind but not intrusive.

Went with family. The lychee martini wasnt right. Tasted like they used something with coconut. The husband and I got the pallea and half the dish was burt to the iron skillet. The manager/owner came by and was praising the recipie and how the cook knows the exact timing. We criticized the comment after because it was very visibly burnt. Also the bits we did eat were quite bland. Tomato rice and the meat. No other vegetables to add flavor or spices.

To say that I was disappointed in the service here is an understatement.Me and two other women came here because the sign advertised Happy Hour deals, and were seated at a table. We were then told that Happy Hour was only reserved to the bar, which is 5 seats deep, and we were not offered a chance to sit at. The whole restaurant was empty. The waiter made an exception after much eye rolling to give us the happy hour for only ONE round of drinks. The Happy Hour menu included food, to which we wanted to order Truffles Fries. We couldnt order the truffles fries, but we could order the regular fries, even though we wanted to spend the extra $$$. According to the waiter, the kitchen would greatly mind where these fries were going to be eaten, bar vs table. Food was fine, but the service and whole way this was handled was absurd.

The bacalao was sensational! The waiter was amicable and prompt to help! The owner was so lovely! Talks to the clients in a way that makes them feel at home! Everything was perfect. A great experience!

Went here for restaurant week and was not impressed with the food and to make things worse the AC was not working. The burger I order was cooked medium well like I asked but was burnt on the outside and the bun was rock hard. The lava cake was blend and the whipped cream on top had no flavor.

La Pulperia was by far one of the best places to try in Hells Kitchen! We sat outside and enjoyed the rare weather (67° in February!). The bartender seated us and brought us the menus. We started with white wine and ordered lots of small plates. They have two Happy Hours (5-7 and 9-11) with amazing deals.The ceviche was unique and had an incredible presentation. The guacamole was one of best. The truffle fries were so tasty and even included a fried egg! The queso fundido was tasty. The best part were the empanadas (we tried beef, chicken & cheese, and ranchera). Also we loved the oysters!They even offered us ice cream at the end of the meal - dulce de leche and the most unique and delicious flavor Ive ever tried - lucuma.Overall the service is just incredible. The wait staff are attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. Id highly recommend this place - lots of amazing options and great service

So easy to walk past the unimposing exterior with a hand printed sign saying Fish Ribs but you would be missing a wonderful experience. the menu is clearly unusual with choices as varied as salmon tartar brûlée and yes fish ribs, both delicious. the service is welcoming. the beverage selection as exciting as the menu. our party of four ordered as many different choices as we could sharing small bites of a huge, delectable charred scallop, a charred caesar salad with perhaps a tad too much dressing that we couldnt resist, yummy gnocchi ,a lentil salad with chopped root vegetables, those addictive fish ribs and the tartar. even the coffee was good. the tables are close and the noise level accelerated as the restaurant filled. though we were never rushed the staff made sure to get us out in time for theater.we all look forward to returning and exploring the offerings of a most inventive chef.

The food was okay, but the service was really slow. I asked the server if they were busy & she said no lol. The octopus was a bit over salted, but the steak was really tasty. Probably won’t come back with so many other options

This is a gem in Hell’s KitchenAwesome service and Greta happy hour! Brunch is a good deal with a Drag show included!!But what impressed me is the food!!Ceviche, empanadas, bacalao croquettes and moqueca mixta are the plates you can’t go wrong!!Thanks for a amazing dinner experience!!

Food was good, service was slow but it was because of the bar. Also wanted that the drag show to be more show and less monologue. Very expensive for my taste for a brunch in HK. Small place, always crowded, They still make it work.

Horribly disappointed, out of fish ribs, so I got the hanger steak which was oily, sides where also oily/greasy. Guacamole was cold like it had been sitting in a fridge and not mixed well. Wife got the mixa dish which was in a heavy sauce and spicy which was not explained or described on the menu. Ambiance was dark and loud, not intimate at all. Drinks and oysters were good. Will not go again.

Yoooo!! Came to this wonderful establishment for PRIDE! (busiest day in NYC) for a popppin drag show! not only was the food great, the show was great but the STAFF treated us and showed my wife and I a lot of love and attention. Shout out to the manager for making sure we were always good and not in need of anything while we were there. The performance by Misty Mountains & Mari Con Carne was absolutely fantastic. Special Shout out to SHARONNNNNNN!!!! Overall was a blast definitely going to return cause LA PULPERIA be doing its thangggg.

Visited here yesterday before a show. The place is really cute inside and has a nice layout. The manager welcomed us and spoke with us and made us feel comfortable and the service was great as well. Every person working in that restaurant was kind and attentive. The cocktails were great and the food was delicious and plated nicely. Food was good, the drag show was pretty good, it’s a small restaurant so the girls dance in the isles which makes it great for interactions... I guess I tend to prefer a performance style drag show with a stage, so depends on what you’re looking for

The food is amazing, we tried the Argentinian Parrillada and Ceviche Mixto and both were delicious. The service is great. The Yolo Sangria is massive and so delicious, definitely recommend! They are very nice and attentive.

Pretty lovely spot with good food. The steak came with chimichurri, wondering if this is an Argentinean place since I also saw other Argentinean dishes as well.

Great south american cuisine washed down with excellent cocktails in a rustic but homely atmosphere. Great staff, wish we could have stayed longer. Will be back for happy hour (4-7)

Looking for a pre-theater meal with great food? La Pulperia fills both needs. Located just at the edge of the theater district, they take reservations starting at 5:00. That gives you plenty of time for dinner and a leisurely walk to your theater.And the food is fantastic. Billed as “rustic Latin food,” they offer a variety of small and large plates featuring incredibly fresh and house-made items. We started with the house-made red sangria which was tasty and packed a bit of a punch. We then sampled a variety of small plate appetizers starting with the guacamole, which had a great blend of smooth and chunky avocado. The empanadas were next, and while the beef ones were good (although a bit cold in the center), the corn empanadas were outstanding. While kernels if corn were creamy corn sauce (which the waitress said contained cheese). They were absolutely perfect.Next up we’re our mains, which we are family style: crab meat black ravioli, grilled octopus special, and the pacu fish ribs. The ravioli was good but not outstanding, except for the sauce which tasted a lot like the sauce in the corn Empanada. The grilled octopus special was served “Las tablas” style: 3 large pieces of octopus were served with 5 small side dishes (cazuelitas) of which the celery root gratin was the star. The octopus was grilled perfectly and served simply with peppers and onions, allowing the octopus flavor to shine through.The pacu ribs were the most interesting dish. Cut from the ribs of a large fish, the ribs look like babybacks. Each rib had a few large bones surrounded by moist fish, all covered in a tangy barbecue sauce that complimented the firm fish. Ive never had seafood prepared like this, and it.La Pulperia was a perfect start to an evening on Broadway.

La Pulperia is a great little corner spot on a busy street in Hells Kitchen. Because of its location, the people watching is top notch. From the safety of this restaurant, we watched a guy continuously fake having a seizure to make a political statement. Crazy MFer actually got the ambulance to show up then ran. NYC never fails to entertain…You probably want to hear about the food. It was great! I’m always happy with the food when I come here. Pro tip: order a spicy, skinny margarita.

Ceviche and grilled octopus are amazing. Tender, perfectly seasoned. Very friendly and attentive service. Fantastic selection of mezcales and tequilas. Grab one of the outdoor tables, if possible.

AMAZING TIME, DRINKS AND FOOD!!!! We ordered the huge Sangria. There was 3 of us and from it we each had 4 glasses. The foods we chose were the Lobster Taquitos, Croquetas De Bacalao, Crispy Calamari, Skirt Steak, Cocunut Rice, Fish of the Day and Poblano Mashed Potatoes. Everything was devoured with not one complaint. Everything smelled, looked and tasted delicious. Its was all cooked to perfection. We did order dessert but that I will say was not good to us. The churros were not filled and a bit rough and the chocolate cake was completely covered in whipped cream and cinnamon powder and the cake tasted like those mini frozen lava cakes. We did not care though everything else was so amazing and not everyone gets dessert. ID DEFINITELY RECOMMEND AND DEFINITELY WILL BE RETURNING!!!

I had the ribeye which was very gristly. The sangria was superb and strong and the wait staff was excellent. The owner was also very friendly. The guacamole was good as well.

Good food, pocket-friendly list of wines, great ambiance.We had a ceviche mixto to start. It was delicious: fresh seafood, and a superb Mexican red sauce with serrano chili. It had just the right amount of spiciness.For the main course, my partner had a moqueca mixta which I tasted and was above average. Definitely a home run. I had the red snapper filet. While it was tasty, it was slightly overcooked and it felt like a frozen product. Thats the reason why Im giving four stars.

The place is cozy and beautiful, but the quality of food is disappointing, I know a lot about sea food and it is disappointing to be honest, the oysters couldn’t even eat them, salmon was over cooked in parts and others raw, and was definitely not fresh! The server don’t have big knowledge of what they’re serving... so is way overpriced for what they really offer

Im in the theater district at least once a month and we try to hit up a new place each time, and we had dinner here last night before seeing a Bway show- FANTASTIC food! Lovely waiter and the best churros I have ever had in my life. We started with the blue crab empanadas and they were delish. They are a dont miss app. My partner had a special: tile fish with calamari and baby clams over a little round pearl pasta in a fresh tomato based sauce, and I had the grilled octopus app with a side of plantains & a side of broccoli rabe. Both dinners were exceptionally good (although the broccoli rabe needs a bit of help as they didnt chop off the tough stems). We did not have any cocktails as it was a hot evening and I didnt want to fall asleep during the show but they all looked great. My sweet tooth will bring me be back for any other of the fish or steak dinners but really for those churros! Thanks for a great dinner.

La Pulperia is my favorite restaurant in all of NYC. The food, cocktails, and atmosphere are all incredible. What sets la Pulperia apart is its service - Victor is an amazing host and all the waiters are attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable.

Proportions are small and food is not the best. This had to be one of the worst shrimp ceviches I’ve had, was even cold. Service could have also been better.

Our server was indifferent and wasn’t nice. She didn’t give us options and we had to call her supervisor to get more information about the menu. Menu is very limited, there’s not too many to choose, plus they force you to spend a minimum of $50 per person.I wouldn’t recommend to others.

Restaurant is very small. The food is ok not great but the desserts are so expensive! Almost $15 with tax for a flan??? I guess there are cheaper and better restaurants in the area than this one.

La Pulperia was great. The service was very attentive. The drinks were great. For appetizers we had the lobster tacos which are tiny (4 of them to an order) but also amazing so I just wanted more. We also had the beef empanadas which were as expected. For our entrees we got the Skirt steak and the Moqueca mixta, both were super delicious. My only negative comment is that the “coconut rice” was underwhelming, and if you know really good coconut rice you know this was not it - it was basically white rice with a hint of maybe coconut milk? Not sure - but otherwise the side of potatoes and everything else was fantastic. There was a large birthday party in the back that was a bit loud - but we really didn’t mind as this can happen whenever there are large groups at restaurants - plus people are super excited to get together with friends and celebrate things after these past 2 years!!! Over all I give it 5 stars, recommend the restaurant and will be going again soon to try everything else on the menu! 😊Hope this review helped, if so give it a 👍🏼

Last Wednesday my friends and I went to the beautiful restaurant La Pulperia in Hell’s Kitchen. It is a Mexican restaurant with latin influences and, as I noticed later, delicious food.For the appetizer I ordered Tauitos de Langosta”. The combination of fish and pineapple was incredibly good!For the main dish I ordered The Verlasso Salmon”. It was very well cooked.It comes with 5 variety of side dishes. My favorite one was Grilled Broccoli Rabe. I would definitely recommend you to try!My dinner was complete with “The Smoky Room” Cocktail. Combination of Tequila, passion fruit pure and fresh pomegranate juice made this drink unique. I am usually not fan of tequila, but this cocktail definitely changed my mind.If you want to eat a good food with good service, I would highly recommend you to visit restaurant La Pulperia in Hell’s Kitchen.

Great food and great service. We ordered the half chicken, the coconut rice, and the guac and all was delicious!! Only complaint was that it was super loud with the music on full blast, but that’s not a huge deal! Overall great experience!

Reservations canceled by the restaurant at 10:15pm the night before and left us hanging for another weekend brunch option.

Went for my daughter bday, asked if they do anything and they said yes. Brought out 3 candles on an empty plate. They also brought out the wrong dish to for my guest and still charged me for it. When the bill came they cancelled the transaction I put which had 15% and changed it so it was 20%. Very none ethical.

A big shout out to this amazing latin place: Pulperia. Traditional yummy latin dishes. Our faves are tuna tartar and the ceviche mixto (includes octopus and shrimps). Croquetas de Bacalao are so crispy and tasteful inside that you cant missed it. Service is warm and friendly. We can visit this place multiples times and never get tired. The location is new, they used to be in a tiny space some blocks away from where they are now. A tastefull experience!

The owner, JM Pulperia, and his team did an amazing job accommodating our group of 16 for dinner. We also just had them select various small plates for us and the food was delicious. Thank you for great service and accommodating our requests to get us all at one table and adding tables to accommodate more guests. Highly recommend.

It was a perfect place to spend Sunday afternoon. The ambiance is very welcoming and charming. The food is absolutely amazing – everything look so good and delicious. Service was delightful and very professional. Can’t wait to return and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to eat in Hell’s Kitchen.

I ordered lobster tacos and the lobster was spoiled. Manager attempted to do a service recovery with a new order. Manager said what they had served me was the last portion at the bottom of the can and that’s why it tasted like that. In addition to this, I ordered queso fundido and the waitress didn’t advise me of the hot pot; it ended up burning my arm. Next, , I ordered a big martini and it was served with tons of ice. I have never seen a Martini with ice ! Lastly, my friend ordered a medium well steak and it was burned.Horrendous place. I went there because of the advertisements in IG and I do not recommend it.

Amazing food. Just simply amazing. Bewitching even. Came here on a Tuesday night (not exactly a going out night) and pretty early too around 6:30 or so. Ordered seafood and the name sake of the restaurant: The Octopus. What arrived was an obscenity of deliciousness. Tentacle was very large with garnish of the Parsnip Puree. It was incredibly soft and tasty. Our server Alejandra was was great and very knowledgeable and made suggestions that were right on point. Guacamole, Lobster Taquitos, Ceviche, my god those were delicious! But the key was the namesake of the restaurant. Octopus was not just delicious it was obscenely so! Cocktails were great even though I dont particularly like them (I think that straight up drink is better). And then to top it all off were the Churros. Best ones Ive had since Spain and they were missing the melted chocolate (that might be a great idea).One thing though I didnt count on were the musicians. They just add so much to the ambiance of the place, so if you visit make sure you have some cash on hand. You probably will need it.
