My new favorite hang out in downtown. How do I start? The margaritas are first rate and the mixed drinks are really well crafted. They have these shot freezers on the bar and they chill the tequilas down so low that they come out like syrup. great selection of beers too.Excellent, Excellent HD televisions and sound...way better than sitting in my house and watching sports there. Very sport event friendly and really good bartenders ( we like sitting at the bar).As far as food goes- the Enchiladas are truly delicious; the Chicken Mole is great, as well as the tacos- very fresh and delicate in flavor. The wings are crispy and they also have seasoning and flavor unlike a lot of places that try and do wings ( the Jalapeno honey mustard and the honey BBQ are both favorites, the classic ones are perfect with just the right amount of heat). Their super Tortas are giant stuffed sandwiches that are excellent and enough for two people. In all a great atmosphere and a great place to bring your girlfriend.

Service was horrible. The waitress was extremely slow. I went with a group of people and we all recieved our drinks/foods at various different times even though we all ordered at the same time. However, some of the food options were tasty, such as their waffle fries and nachos. Just expect to wait a while to get them!

Chill and cozy spot. Music is great, low enough to hold a conversation if you taking someone for their first date or just catching up with your friends. The food is good, a little bit pricey for the small quantity you get. Nachos, salsa and guacamole are to die for.

Campeon is one of my favorite places to watch a game. The restaurant is well lit and has about 30 TVs so youre almost assured that your game is going to be on one of them. The waitresses are very friendly with requests to chance the TV channel where you are sitting, which is one of the big headaches Ive encountered when trying out different sports bars. The food here is fantastic! They have fish tacos, guac, cuban sandwiches, and a whole lot of other things that you dont typically see at sports bars. I try something new every time I go and I still havent finished trying everything. Overall this is one of the best experiences for going out with friends and watching a game, getting some beers, and having some good food.

Sports bar with a decent atmosphere but sub-par food and cold service. Campeon is also a bit pricey. For instance, wings if I remember correctly were approx. $15 and a burger was a couple dollars more. This would be fine if it was really good. Unfortunately as mentioned, the food is sub-par. I sat at the bar during a pretty slow day. I was one of 5 people at the bar. The bartender was no where near inundated, yet was inattentive and didnt give as much as a smile. Since I work extremely close and the atmosphere is fair, I would go again, but just as a place to grab a beer or two and kill a half hour or so.

Great stuff: I was here for a World Cup Mexico vs Croatia game and the place had a huge number of happy Mexico fans since we won the game. We had reserved a section of the bar for our group and were attended by a pair of servers who generally did pretty well with keeping up with a group of 25. Great variety on the menu including a couple of fusion items which were creative and interesting. By NY standards this is a large place with both indoor and patio seating. Not so great stuff: I had shrimp tacos and while the flavor was pretty great the temperature was not. These sat for too long and the homemade tortilla which I was most excited about wasnt even warm. Maybe on a day when theyre not as busy this might be worth trying again. Do not order the corn on the cob, it is a tiny piece of corn for $6 bucks and the flavors of this are just not great. Much too tangy. Also they didnt bus our tables at any point until after they brought the bill so our small bar size tables were a wreck by the time they cleared the first plate.Overall, a little over priced for a sports bar but a good spot to catch a game. Eat before you go.

We had a reservation for 10 people on a Friday night for March Madness. The place was packed and the atmosphere was great. Despite how busy it was, our waiter was quick at bringing beer towers, frozen margaritas (the pink ones are great!) and nachos, chicken wings. The manager came over to chat to us and was very friendly. Lots of tvs so you won’t miss a thing and you can watch two games at once. We stayed until it closed at 1am.

Ok service, mediocre cocktails, and seemingly inefficient management. Last Fridays happy hour involved 30 min wait for service, 25 min wait for cocktail orders to be prepared, and 30 min wait to pay via square (one device available in the entire restaurant or so we were told). Id give them another try if I had no time constraints at all.

Avoid. Note that Im well aware that Manhattan, especially this area sucks for trying to get a group together to watch anything but they had advertised specials so we went. We had a reservation, continuously ordered drinks and food and yet they kicked us off of our table after 1.5 hours. We had just put in an order for another round of apps and drinks so its not like we were just squatting. We had to cancel the food because we would have had to stand to eat it and then they never brought the bill so we had to chase down a hostess to try and make sure we paid before we left. On a non-busy night this place would be mediocre at best. Food was bland. Walls are covered in TVs. Staff is super unorganized. Id look elsewhere.

I didnt feel the bartenders acknowledged clients at all. I waited for 15 minutes during Cinco de Mayo to order drinks at the bar. Sure it was busy, but 4 girls behind a bar and none giving eye contact or saying Ill be right with you? Come on. I had to be rude and wave my arms at one of them. For the price of these drinks ($13 and up), I expect better service. I didnt try the food so I cant speak on it, but the music was decent and people seemed to have a good time.

I come to Campeon every so often for some drinks after work. Its a great place to watch international sporting events, drink some tequila or a mojito. The staff is very friendly (and super attractive^^) and the lively atmosphere is energized by Latin music, hip-hop, RnB, and other pop tunes (unless the Champions league is on). My only hang up has been the food sometimes. I recently had the Cubanito Sandwich which was underwhelming: the white bread was fluffy (I like those nice grill marks), no ham, no mustard, not a lot of pickles, had a s*** load of jalapenos, and had avocados. I wasnt expecting the most authentic sandwich, but was still a little upset as I was expecting a nice greasy mess of a meal! Will be back again for sure!

Thought Id try the place out for lunch just to check it out for the upcoming World Cup. It wasnt busy and my colleague & I decided on taking a seat at the bar, there were probably 5 other patrons at the bar. Im not sure what the waitress was doing but we were waiting at least 10 minutes before we were served, we got our drinks and food menus then had to wait a further 10 mins to place our orders.I had the Ancho Chili burger and my colleague went for the Caesar salad with chicken. Bearing in mind this was lunch time, we waited a further 25 minutes for the food to arrive, my colleagues Caesar salad was missing the chicken, the Ancho burger was good but the fries were cold which makes me think that things went wrong in the kitchen.I like sports bars and and I like the look and feel of the place but I will not be going back in a hurry.

I came here with my girlfriend and another couple and the girls fell in love with the decor. The TVs are crystal clear and the food is really good and fairly priced. I love the tacos- the Brisket, Chicken and Lobster are excellent. My girlfriend ordered the Jicama salad and the fried oysters, both of which were unique and really very tasty.
