All time classic spot for watching sports and having great pub food. They have multiple screens to watch games. They open early which is great for European soccer matches !

Definitely one of my favorite bars in the East Village. Always a great time and their food menu is full of crowd pleasers. (Their chicken wings, Fish & Chips, Bangers and Mash and many others are great!)They play most major sports and fights with no cover charge. Good and friendly service as long as youre not a jerk.Great meeting point in the East Village, right off Houston on Bowery.

Came here for the Laker game last night and we got cracked so that sucked.Im not the biggest raw raw lets go get a group of guys together and house a bucket of brewskis kinda guy, so maybe take this review with a grain of salt. I felt like a fish out of water.This bar is exactly what you would expect it to be. Great for sports and to get the boys rowdy.Some dude that was absolutely sauced in here kept coming up to our table and trying to talk to our lady friend with us and that was hella annoying. But hey thats not the bars fault I recognize that.Our waitress was awesome and gave me a heeaavvyyyy pour on my glass of pinot noir. Shoutout Kelly! And yes, I got a glass of pinot at an Irish bar and that probably loses me any credibility, but I can only be meself.

Great bar for sport. Lots of screens at the bar plus a big screen too. Friendly and really quick service. Great cocktails and a brilliant selection of beers on tap. Food looked good too (Didnt eat but saw it coming out. Big portions!)

We came here during trivia night, which was annoying. But we were drinking, so we were probably more annoying. Anywho, service was fast and the food was good. They have a healthy amount of beers on tap, mostly IPAs and lagers. Their Moscow Mules go down smooth, I recommend those. Their margaritas are strong, I definitely recommend those.

Nice bar

Came in for a soccer game not expecting a great place, but was pleasantly surprised! Even though its a pretty standard Irish bar, not a cocktail bar, at least one of the bartenders was able to make some pretty nice drinks. The food was also quite standard bar fare, but it really wasnt bad. One of the better options for this type of bar, which I dont frequent too often outside of for sporting events.

Great place for sports, I went for the UFC.The share screen for soccer but we got the sound on and that was really nice! Drank and ate for hours, it was super nice.The food was good, I didn’t expect much for a bar but it was better than places I’ve been in the past, I ll be back! Just careful on the truffle fries, soggy and super oily, we didn’t eat much of them.The service was also good and fast even tho it was quit busy!

I came in for a few pints with my girlfriend. Great and friendly service from the chap from County Clare. Loved the Downeast Cider and the Slainte whisky was decent as well.

The bar food in this place is very good and reasonably priced. We went to watch an NBA finals game and I felt the atmosphere to watch the game there was not like other sports bar. But for any other purpose this place is great (and they have trivia nights too). Loved the sliders!

Great space. Large and open with many seating options (small/large high tops, booths, ample bar stools). Every food item I’ve had there had been well above average bar food. Beer selection is solid and varied. Great music. Friendly staff. Great AC in the hot summer. Every time I have been reconfirms it is one of the best casual bars in the area.

I walked into Sláinte after watching a man smoke crack at Whole Foods across the street. It was an immediate breath of fresh air. Everyone was friendly and there was a seat with my name on it at the bar. I wish the vodka soda had a little more vodka, but I appreciate that the bartender was careful not to over serve me. A little loud and I am hard of hearing. 4/5

Drinks are average and pricey. Bait and switch prices.Went there to watch sports. 👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽They have small screen and old tvs. Sport transmission shut off for a time. Definitely not great for watching sports.Crowd is loud, if your into a young and loud crowd you may enjoy it.This place just seems like a hangout for the young crowd meeting up or hooking up.I don’t understand why it has 4 stars.Wouldn’t recommend.

Although unusually large for a city pub, this bar does a great job of making you feel at home. The staff is AMAZING, the beer selection is vast, the food is fast and well done, and the Guinness pour is perfect. This is my local stop and I will be going for years to come. Perfect for any type of sporting event (personally would love to see more Giants fans there so if you bleed blue you better get there on game day)!!

Very nice bar, decent cocktails and taps. There are plenty of TVs for sport and plenty of space for sitting or standing. The speakers were on the fritz when I went, but hopefully thats fixed. I ordered an Old Fashioned which was pretty decent. Id go back for a drink. Staff were very friendly as well. They serve food, and although I didnt try it it looked and smelled like traditional pub grub.

Good selection of draft beers, really solid pub fare. Curry fries, nachos, sausage roll, app sample platter hit the spot. Fish and chips or shepherds pie are hearty.Trivia nights on Wednesday...Great for sports and they drop the big screen over weekends for the big games.

Tasty food, tasty drinks... good spot for hanging with friends as they have some large tables. TVs around the bar play sports or whatever else is going on. The servers were really nice and happy split our bill a million weird ways. They also have outdoor seating.

Wound up here after brunch nearby and was pleasantly surprised but it not being a standard Irish pub but rather a nice bar with some Irish offerings. Great spot to be. The energy and the vibe is always higher. It’s a great spot with a plethora of beers. My go to is the Peekskill IPA and you can’t go wrong with the Buffalo wings or the chicken quesadilla! This is a solid date spot or a spot to hang with your friends.If you guys are around look out for Killian and Patrick. They’re super cool employees. Cheers!

We found ourselves in this place by chance. Intended to stay for a quick drink and move on. Ended up staying hours as we interacted with the very cool outgoing staff and customers. It was a blast. The staff and regulars in there were so inviting, nice, and cool. Great conversation. 100% recommend this place. Will try to return next time I come to NYC

Wasnt that crowded outside had an Appetizer for you cannot order a Drink without some Food. It is a Quaint Irish Pub and the Server with his Irish Brough made you feel Great going back again with some co-workers. Ohh 🤩 awesome music. Great Atmosphere.

The Man-Burger... Need I say more?! Fish & Chips are absolutely on point. Beer is great, doesnt taste flat or metallic like most places I visit. Service is friendly and attentive. This will now be a spot my friends and I will visit frequently. Drove all the way from Eastern Suffolk County for that Man-Burger!

Had a nice burger and wife had the Gorgeous Looking Blackened Salmon Salad. She even let me try some and it tasted as good as t looked. Late afternoon Saturday and everyone was toward the rear of the establishment watching Football, plenty of seats open in the front. I very specifically ordered my burger med-well, toasted bun with Bacon, Lettuce and Tomato on it. I didnt order relish, avocado, cheese, special sauce, caviar, or anything else, yet it came with ONIONS on it. So after picking off the onions, I ate the Burger. It was tasty and cooked as ordered. Tomato was fine, lettuce could have used a little help. Dish came with Fries,con the side, not on the burger and they were very good.No noticeable WiFi, but I was too busy with the food.

The 5* for food is actually for the pint Guinness that I had, it was perfection in a glass.Nice bar, not too busy, will definitely come here again.

Slainte by name and slainte by nature. Good health by great service, wonderful food, and a dangerously attractive list of craft beers. The Guinness beef pie...world class. Lively spot to watch a game. Last we were there, they seemed short staffed but the bartender was super nice that it didn’t really matter. Friendliness goes a helluva long way.

Authentic Irish bar, will pour you a proper pint of Guiness. Great for watching a game or for socializing later at night. Bartenders were the best, excellent service.

The bar is wide and spacious. They have a lot of great food deals and happy hour on weekdays. The friendly Irish bartender helped to make it a great experience during my visit.

An authentic Irish pub experience in NYC, not over done, just like walking into the local pub in Limerick, if youre looking for Michelob Ultra and Coors Light this is not the place but if youre looking for some great tasting beers with character belly up to the bar

Very recommendable pub with nice food and a decent selection of craft beers. We had enough space for a Saturday night without reservation and the atmosphere was relaxed.

A lot of screens to watch your game, an incredibly professional and attentive bartender, a wide range of beer options from classic to never-heard-of. I absolutely enjoyed my time here and would love to come back for more drinks in the near future.

Run by a smashing guy from Aintree (famous for the Grand National) called Jay. A really good selection of real ales, great atmosphere and Jay even bought me a beer just because we are both from Merseyside!

This place is AMAZING! My friend and I went on a rainy Saturday and there seemed to be a football game going on. It was PACKED. Still, the waitress was so kind, found us a table and brought us our drinks promptly. Excellent y example that a busy bar doesn’t need to compromise excellent service.

Fantastic bar with great ambience, but what really makes it stand out is the exceptional service - my bartender Chris made some phenomenal drinks and was friendly and attentive even on a busy Wednesday evening for trivia night. Will definitely bring my business here again soon, preferably if Chris can make me another Old Fashioned!

The place is cool, nice vibe, good food and a great selection of beers on tap. And Cisco, the charismatic bartender, makes it one of the best places to hang out in downtown New York. Definitely recommend!

I love this place, the bartenders is ultra cool, the BBQ chicken is amazing 🤤, sliders on Mondays is 🔥. I lived in the neighborhood for years and this is definitely 1 of my favorite places. If you want to go on a date, or watch a game or listen to a dope playlist, then go to Slainte is the place you NEED to go!

Is too expensive bad service and they still want tips ,for two drinks and two shots almost 50$and I have to wait 20 minutes to get the second drink I will never came back this placeDon’t came this place unless U want to spend 100 for 4 drinks plus tax and tips

Perfect bar to get a drink at after work. ALL the bartenders there are the absolute best, Chris, James. Nick, Sisco. Theyre so sweet and great at making any drink imaginable . Highly recommend this place

This is one of my favorite bars in East Village. The vibe is super chill and a great place to start up random convos at the bar. The staff is super friendly and bartenders are great. The food is also really good. Definitely 10/10 recommend for a casual/fun night out.

Went there for Thursday night football, called ahead and they held a table for a group of 5. Has plenty of TVs and one big projector in the back.Wings are good, had a full page of beers on tap, but we did $25 bud light buckets.Wasn’t a fan of the nachos, and they do a great job of making sure you have drinks quickly even when it’s packed.

Walked around NY for a few hours. We needed a burger and a brew for lunch. Found this place online. The bartender was a great guy and suggested some good beers. We are a party of 6. We had 2 man burgers, both were excellent. Had 2 shepherd pies. I have to say the best shepherds pies we ever had. 1 blackened salmon salad. Normally we wouldnt get a salad at a pub but this was very fresh and much enjoyed. Finally the fish and chips. The fish was overcooked so that was a bit of a disappointment but we had sweet potatoes fried instead of the regular fries. They made up for the fish.Overall very well done. We will see you again

Definitely a SPORTS BAR with the appropriate amount of beers and ciders on tap, complete with sports bar food. There are huge tables everywhere, and we were able to find a spot on a Sat. night at 8 pm for 10 people. “El Diablo” was the cocktail of our choice. Service was slow, and our section wasn’t busy. I’ve been a server and I was getting antsy about it, which is why I knocked one star. Definitely would go back!

Came here for some champions league football (Ajax Amsterdam) and walked away with an incredible come from behind win against Real Madrid so now Ill have to come back every time they play until the final. We had Guinness and sweet potato fries, both of which were 💯 but its hard to mess that up and somewhat of a binary assessment. Five stars for Slainte and ❌❌❌ for Ajax Amsterdam

Many lunches there meeting with friends, have been so seriously memorable. The pandemic is hurting, deeply. But a new outdoor patio is really nice and the groups are totally human...Highly recommend it.

Been in the city for 9 years, in 2 boroughs, and it’s still my favorite everyday bar. Sports are always on, the food is ridiculously good, and the bar staff are great.

Bar flies are pretty bad. Mixed drinks weren’t great either.

Over the road from what was CBGB, warm cosy bar with excellent music on tap (Talking Heads, Blondie, XTC, Tom Tom Club, B52s, The Stranglers, The Clash, Bowie) and decent beer on tap too (obviously including Guinness). If it werent for the 3400 miles trip back home to Leeds UK this would be a favourite haunt.

I go here for trivia now that Dempseys closed. Our favorite waitress, Naomi, is amazing. Their specialty cocktails arent that great. They have a decent beer selection and a good wine happy hour on Wednesdays. The food is mediocre bar food.

Stopped by here to watch the nfl playoff games last week (wild card weekend). Was pleasantly surprised. Was pretty packed (for obvious reasons) but was still able to find a table and get quick service. The waiter was very friendly and attentive. Ordered the wings which were nothing exceptional and a Caesar salad which was surprisingly good. A ton of tv’s and spacious. Lots in the back. Bathrooms were pretty clean too. Would go back.

In NYC for the weekend and stopped in to grab a drink. We had no clue who actually worked there because everyone was in street clothes. We finally flagged someone down to take our order. Never saw anyone again. Ordered one round of drinks and flagged someone down at the register to get our bill.

I was spending my vacations in NY and found this bar while walking around the neighborhood (I was staying at the Bowery House). The bartender was very friendly and advised me on some IPA beers (really good beers that I hadnt heard before like the Smuttynose IPA). Since then I went back to the bar every single night wile I was in NY.

Authentic Irish bar with great beer selection and live Irish music sometimes. The staff is also very friendly and knowledgeable.

Great sports pub, we had the chance to attend a public rehearsal by an irish music ensemble, bunch of violins, viola, banjos and guitar, great time and interesting happy hour.
