We all had enormous salads, which were formidable but not new. Everyone was kind and helpful, and the restrooms had clean sinks with excellent lighting for applying lipstick. The traditional and Irish burgers were both excellent. The house salad and grilled apple salad were both delicious.
The place is beautiful, the ambient is amazing. The food was perfect, the prices are normal, the location is perfect near Macy’s.
Elevated good old fashioned Irish Pub Food. Approximately 36 beers on tap and a ton of bottles. Anytime you can get a meal here with some gravy for your mash (or even fries), just do it! Sliders all come with fries as well. Had the fried seafood trio on a recent visit and it was 😋😋😋
All around enjoyable bar. I think places should give seat preference when you make a reservation. Kind of stuck in a corner. Food was good, cocktail was average but the beer was cold and fresh. Decorated nicely for the holiday. Great place to watch a game with a lively crowd.
Great sports bar with a very healthy selection of liquor and beer. There was a super variety of sports on the TVs
Had a great burger here, and Im from Texas. Great space, good beer selection, awesome burger. Fish and chips was good, too.
We were here watching Super Bowl 2024 we had a upfront Reservation and that was absolutely clever. It was verry crowded but Views on Screens was verry good Just have a look toy Pictures. Service was verry friendly and quick, food was typical Pub food and also verry good and Drinks was cold and the Menu regarding available Tap Beer is incredible. Verry appreciated we will come Back again. Thumbs up Cheers from Germany 😊!
We found this sports bar to quench our thirst. It was the middle of the afternoon on a Monday, so it was not busy. They have many tv screens around the restaurant to view sporting events. I can imagine this bar hopping during any sporting event. They had many beers on tap and large assortment of coolers, wine, and such.We enjoyed a few appetizers with our drinks. The food and drinks were at a very reasonable price. Our bartender was friendly, fun bantering, a really nice guy.Well remember to come back to this bar again the next time were in NY city.
Once we got off the train and headed to our hotel we were starving. Doing a little walk around the block we decided to go to the Keg room for lunch. Atmosphere was a perfect Irish Pub. The staff was super friendly and the food was great. The Shepard pie was bomb and the girls loved trying their first plate of Fish and Chips. If we are ever in NYC for Saint Patrick’s Day, I would love to come to The Keg room to celebrate.
I used to come here a few years ago. It has a good selection of draft beers and sports on the several screens. This time, despite the good variety of beers, food was bad, expensive and poor service. No happy hour offered. That may be the reason for being completely empty at 4pm on a weekday in a NYC crowded of tourists.
I loved the place. We watched Belgium Italy game there and people were so nice, vibe is great and there are lots of TVS. Wherever you seat, you have a nice view for sure. They have a $20 minimum for credit card but there is also ATM machine in the bar if you don’t have cash.
Good vibe, decent food. But the service was horrendous and apparently here in New York its the norm to charge automatic gratuity...this wouldnt normally bother me but the service sucked so bad that a $1 tip was too much in my mind. Fix your house owner!
Service was quick, bit food was horrible and way over priced. Basically inedible. Youre better off saving your money and eating at one of the hundreds of pizza places.
Superior sports bar. Best place in NYC to watch the AUS Boxing Day cricket test match. Many legit sports channel subscriptions and many TVs customisable to individual feeds. Just really nice bar staff that go out of their way to help you. They are clearly having fun being of service. The drink options are numerous, are fast, and served with a smile.
Lost in Midtown as usual, we wanted to grab a quick bite and we found The Keg Room. I mean wooooow all of those TVs!! It is hands down the ultimate place to watch any sporting event. We ordered the buffalo pizza, the calamare and a cake lol can’t tell you…. this place looks amazing cannot even think about the madness that this place is gonna be for St Pattys day. Food was good, the service was fantastic and the place is awesome!!
Pros: It is perfectly located, lots of options in the menu, cool decor, good food, huge quantities.Cons: some staff nice, some not. But the noise… daaaamn, so loud, so loud we couldn’t hear ourselves talking.
Not a bad restaurant, but nothing to write home about. I wouldn’t put it in a category of a NYC must. The beer was alright, again not the highest quality brew m, but tolerable. My waitress had a rough time getting anything I ordered right and had no idea how to keep the alcohol separate from the food check. Had to ask her to change it twice and she still never got it right! I felt more of an inconvenience than a customer. I only went here because it was across the street from the hotel. Food was alright though. Really liked the French Onion soup.
Best Irish pub in mid town! We can not say a bad word about it, our favorite place! Nice and helpfull staff, wide selection of biers, good food! The food also good. It is open till late night. Our favorite beer was the Warsteiner here.
Been here multiple times. The food is standard midtown pub fare. I.e. pretty bland. Bartenders are pretty attentive but personality is lacking. Hostesses have great personalities but are generally useless and ineffective is seating and managing the experience in the dining room. Management. Walk around and through but never seems to see or address opportunities to make customer experience better other than the obligatory. Is everything OK?I often want to say. Its your job to know whats not OK
Callum and Megan are absolutely amazing. Thank you for Introducing us to the Black and Blue. The Hospitality is something thats we dont normally experience in NYC. Thank you
Great sports venue. Lots of big screens and space, ideal to watch big sporting events such us the World Cup. Conveniently located in Midtown. Good food and friendly staff. decent selection of beers, both imported and from the U.S. A bit expensive.
Great sports bar next to our hotel. Went there nearly every night to get a cooooold beer. The barkeeper always rembered us.
I am a korean tourist and I visited this pub a few days ago.First of all, all employees in this bar were very nice to me! Food and beer were fantastic!
Who doesnt like an Irish themed bar? Well, this guy does! A ton of craft beers on tap. We stopped for a snack and a night cap(s). Busy enough but you could have conversation with drinks. We had a quesadilla and a handful of drinks. All good, made with love.
When you come here, make sure its for the sports youll be watching. They have a great selection of beers, but the reason everything is overpriced is they have an extremely impressive array of televisions and their cable bill is insane. Its definitely not all the R&D they put into developing the menu. Come for sports, leave The Keg Room happy. Come for a few drinks & apps, leave The Keg Room walking funny.
Great Place with good ambiance and Service to enjoy a cold beer, cider or other Drinks and for some bites ☺️
Very polite servers, food is good, vegetarian options too, nice lively place
Its one of those places where everything is spot on. I was here on a Sunday afternoon and it was far from crowded. The interior is very nice with an Irish theme and atmosphere and lots of TVs. I had a Guinness (of course) and the Gaelic chicken, which was really really good. The sauce and the mushrooms are awesome. I would really like more mushrooms though.Service is quick and friendly.
Nice place, great music, you can sit have a beer and talk
5 stars exclusively for the food.Large spacious places like this in the proximity of Times Square is so tough to find. But this is large and spacious. You’ve your own space unlike many restaurants in Manhattan. We were here for almost 5 hours - ordering drinks and food. It has got a nice vibe and the crowd pulls as it gets darker. It is already St. Patrick’s Day ready with all lovely green decor and interiors.
One of the best Guinness pours in NYC and the food & cocktails are great too.The owner and staff are also amazing !Thank you for a wonderful event.Happy Anniversary to The Keg RoomAll the best Cheers 🍻
Great food. Service didnt check back with us after food was delivered.
We needed a quick place to grab some food before our Broadway show. The Keg Room was close to our hotel. Really cool atmosphere. We even caught the Kentucky Derby on the big screen whom we were there.
Big bar and pub. Good comfort food. Got French onion soup and a steak. Good beer selection. Fast friendly service. Would definitely go back. Wife got the chicken marsala. She said it was very good also. Now off to see Billy Joel!
The restaurant/bar is pretty impressive. Very spacious with plenty of booth and table seating. Has that old school bar charm to it. The beer selection was good and extensive. Service was pretty good. Waiter was attentive. I ordered a burger, and my wife ordered a chicken sandwich. We both thought it was just OK. The nachos as an appetizer were also just ok. Overall, its a good location in midtown with immediate seating and great beer.
The food and beer selection is amazing been here on two of my NYC visits this year and I will return
Great bar, very good food and brilliant sport viewing. Service was very good and friendly.
Solid fish and chips. Nothing special, but it hit the spot. Big honking piece of fish. Malt vinegar was behind the bar. Had to ask for it.Guinness was fresh and not bitter.Attentive staff.Open air atmosphere. Really like the mood of the place and not to loud. 90s music.
The new york sirloin steak was very juicy and the curly fries were very crunchy and i like that😋😋
Fantastic atmosphere, with actual Irish accents. Food is delicious, if you get Ms. Meagan (probably spelled wrong) at the bar, you won’t have any complaints about service. We have come every day we have been in town for a reason and we will absolutely come back next time we are around.Thursdays are their busiest day and it is PACKED! Definitely take that in to account.
Nice place with good beers. Excellent service !
Awesome bar and bar staff! Happy we sat at the bar, too
Very excellent service and steaks. I am returning April 25, 2025.Cant wait 😋😋😋
Worst service ever. The Bartender was so rude, said that a hot toddy doesnt have cinnamon stick. When we menu clearly stated, a cinnamon stick is part of the ingredient to this drink. Take your money and go across the street to The Parlor Room. Happy hour there is awsome has a great atmosphere.
Stopped in for lunch and a beer. Great selection of beers, whiskeys, and other drinks. I had the lunch special half sandwich and salad. The sandwich turned out to be a whole chicken breast on half a roll. The salad was great. The service was excellent. Very clean and delicious. The prices on food and beer are decent. I would recommend stopping by.
This bar was exactly what I needed. The kitchen was open until quite late (11pm the nights I visited) so I was able to get a real dinner after some late days in work.I thought that their burger was overpriced once you are up all of the extras that you need to pay for, which include being charged for onion or tomato! Instead of the burger, I highly recommend the steak sandwich. It was delicious and offered great value. There was a good array of beers on tap, and I had a few different bartenders and they were all really efficient without being pushy.A very good spot, especially if you are hungry later at night.
Megan is the absolute best, I wouldn’t come if she’s not here!
Great place to grab drinks and food after work. The prices are affordable and the quantity is satiating. We ordered The Keg Room Sampler and it was great for the price point!
Good option in midtown. I was there on a weekend afternoon it was very pleasant. Food was great. Nice vibe. Friendly bartenders. I’d certainly go back.
Nice place, but nothing special. I had the BBQ ribs and they were good
This is a spacious venue for after work gatgerings with good quality bar food and friendly service.
The food was delicious. Our server was very nice. Overall, great place. Definitely will come back.
OK Tomas was such a great great on point person.that got our order. The chicken wings with celery and the ranch so good just A LITTLE much but we had a 10 of a time.we will be back
Popped in for a quick cocktail. Bartender was friendly and drink was awesome.
The atmosphere is pretty dope here. If youre the bar type youll enjoy the plentiful options. I ordered the chicken sliders. They were overcooked, but I was hungry. Its a chill spot for a work gathering, as they accommodate large groups. The staff was helpful, friendly and overall thoughtful. They were also fast with getting food on tables. Id come here again, but definitely would try the beef sliders over chicken lol. Will update this review if/when I come back again.
They need to replace the elderly host. Our group only told her only 7 of us. She led us to a table that was required to order food. Then we told the waitress, some of us just want drinks. The witness led us to the other side of the bar. The host came as asked us a weird question, only we of us order drinks 🍸. What kinda of pub is this? 100% not recommended
The atmosphere and ambient was certainly old school and warm. Service was definitely sharp and on par. Ordered the Nachos, with meat. The quantity was great. The Nachos themselves were crispy and right. However there was something about the taste and absence of meat (it was almost like Chili as opposed to beef), is why I dinged a star. Happy to update the next time over.
This establishment is beyond racist! My friends and I just got here 8/28 sat 12:30am i tried to get in. The bouncer told us that closed. I know the bar not close and the boucer let other white guys get in. My friend and i asian. I said “are you racist ?” the bouncer kept ignored me. It was a horrible experience of racism in New York. So shame this Irish pub.
Deceptive pricing, cocktails are listed differemtly on the menu amd the wall, beers are apparently pre tax? Which ive never seen, then they gave themselves a $3.33 tip for 2 beers. Should have been 17 based on the menu, came to 21.84
I Was looking for American college football. All I could find was rugby and lots of fans!!I just needed a small seat in a corner with aTV and a good SEC game on. JACKPOT at the keg room. Over in the corner was 2 college games. I acquired a seat ,by manipulation, and set down to order 3 excellent old fashion drinks and watched my games. The staff was working a busy crowd, they left me alone until I needed something-which I appreciate. The 2 gentlemen bartending were quite nice and delivered excellent drinks. Cheers to them.I’ll be back to drink more of their drinks. Thanks for the experience and as a first timer….I’ll be back!! Can’t wait!
Pretty good service! We ordered the chicken sliders and nachos to share, portion sizes were good. Sliders were extremely nice but nachos weren’t anything to write home about.I’d definitely recommend over some other Irish pubs in the area.
Neighborhood sports bar with great pub food. It gets loud so be prepared to shout conversations. Theyre a little pricey but try the house made chips with dip. Definitely not a one and done pub.
Nice place to have a beer! Food was good as well :)
I recently visited this bar and I have to say, it was an absolutely amazing experience. From the moment I walked in, I was blown away by the atmosphere and decor. The lighting was perfect, the music was just the right volume, and the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. But what really set this bar apart was the quality of the drinks. They had an impressive selection of craft cocktails and beers, and everything I tried was delicious. The bartenders were clearly very skilled and passionate about what they do, and it showed in the quality of the drinks they served.Overall, I would highly recommend this bar to anyone looking for a great night out. Whether youre looking for a quiet drink with friends or a lively night on the town, this place has something for everyone. I cant wait to go back!
Really much food for the money. Good and friendly staff. Meny different kinds of beers.
The vice was amazing. The beer was so good and they had some special deals like $5 beer, $7 cocktails.
Went here to watch the game...tons of seating...large bar area...plenty of televisions, so no matter where youre sitting, youll see a screen. Food on the entrée list is a bit bland...but the appetizers are decent.
Total fail if I could give zero I would we had a small well done burger when asked for med/rare fries were greasy and undercooked my crispy chix sandwich was barely edible pounded really thin and over cooked after I took it apart and removed brown over ripe avocado bun was not toasted and soggy fries also undercooked and greasy.. house red wine was barely drinkable no one came back to ask if all ok we waited a long time at table before ordering and 2 sandwiches beer and wine over 80 bucks! They added a 18 percent gratuity Really?
Nice large space, feels more like a spot in the suburbs than in Manhattan. Food is good, the sampler platters and chips make it a great option for large groups.
Love this place. Good foodCold beers. What more do you need
A draft beer list pages long, and delicious Irish fare with a great staff. Whats more to ask.
The food was good and the drinks were cold. Ordered the NY strip, medium and it came closer to well done but still a steak and thus a nice piece of meat that fulfilled. The beer was cold and the calamari appetizer was good as well. Nothing special about the hot potato chips appetizer , literally was super baked lays chips with dipping sauce that was supposed to be hot and spicy but wasnt. Overall good spot for after work and happy hour food.
Small partions, tip is included in the bill, really really loud when it is half full of people.. Cant have a normal conversation with your partner without nearly shouting aswell
Pretty decent bar to hang out for Happy hour. Good food, plenty of beer options for folks who enjoy drinking , non alcoholic beer on the menu as well. Location is great pretty close to Herald square . Great service. Plenty of tables. Was not overcrowded.
Expensive American fare at an Irish bar near the Times Square tourist trap area. I liked it, my man didnt....
The exterior of this restaurant was quite appealing, so I decided to give it a try. The interior decor was impressive, and the atmosphere was pleasant. Although I sat at the bar, I was disappointed with the service.
Could have been a lot better but so many beers out of stock. Went to try something different but ended up having to have a beer I could have got at any bar
If you are rugby fan, avoid the England game when the City is celebrating St Patrick (the Saturday before I guess). They wont play it despite advertising showing all 6 Nations games.
Don’t believe their signs! I tried to get a drink at 2:10 and was denied.
Great Place in Midtown for a few cold drinks and good eats. The hot wings here are very good. Ask them to make the wings Extra Hot and you will not be dissapointed! A local spot for the midtown crowds and just a great place in general!!
This is a huge bar with some pretty sick TV set up. Great for game nights with big crowds of people.EDIT (01/16/2019) Ive only been here for drinks, but yesterday we decided to get some appetizers, after which I had to take off some stars. The wings tasted good but my stomach didnt like them at all if you get my drift. We also ordered friend calamari which were so plain I thought I was sucking on my own finger. After getting some seasoning from the staff the taste did not improve a single bit. The last star off is for the tap water I was served that had a metallic/pipe taste. Now, Im not a Fiji water diva, and actually prefer tap water over bottled/purified or whatever you want to call it. But the water I was served was just plain disgusting. If theyre serving water that tastes like that, I wonder how clean their taps are.
Great Irish Bar. Wonderful staff, especially Colm and Meagan. Visit every time Im in NYC
This place was nice and the brews were good but Im a bit sad they have a $20 minimum for credit card charges. They do have an ATM but it charges $2.50 :/Honestly I was lucky to even have a debit card on me since Ive never had an issue with this before at other bars.. most of the time the minimum is $10. Oh well. Just annoying and a bit predatory but theres plenty of other bars to go to that dont do this.
Solid experience. If youre a Come From Away try the local Brooklyn beer on tap. The atmosphere is solid. The bartenders were cordial and kept my beer full. The price of some of the food was quite high coming from my town. Near double what I would pay back home. But I dont regret my choice of the cheddar wrap.
Great ambience. Service was attentive at the bar and the food was good.
Our bartender tonight was EXTREMELY rude. He complaint about us ordering fries after we asked for wings. But we were waving in front of him the whole time. And he was being so rude to the other staff in the bar.Calamari was terrible, marinara sauce was blend. Need to speak with this guy, good bar.The host lady was sitting there with a long face! Come on guys, cheer up and don’t make customers feel unwelcome
Of the bars I visited during my time in New York this was by far the best. The staff were attentive and polite and the selection of drinks on offer was excellent. This place gets very busy and the crowd is a good mixture of locals and tourists. It’s a big place and there was plenty of seating and standing room, we had a good drink in here and found The Keg Room to be reasonably priced compared to similar bars. Well worth a visit during the evening
Horrible experience.. We came with a service dog, the security was very rude and denied entrance without any reason, even after showing him our service dog certificate.
Great beer selection but the food is not good. My fourth time here, and not a good dish yet. I had calamari this evening that absolutely had just come out of the microwave. Neither the calamari nor the sauce had any flavor at all.If you want a good beer, this is your spot. Just eat before or after!!
Great place for a bite to eat with a good beer, and the Keg room has good beer for you to drink. Service is the highlight of The Kegroom. Staff is always friendly and attentive.
Service is pretty good. Atmosphere is lively on a Saturday night in the bar. The restaurant area is nicely organised and less noisy so great for a bite to eat and a wee drink. Loads of TV screens so even if your on your own or waiting for friends it seems a friendly place to hang for a while.
Perfect if you like beer and watch a game. Also ,their platters come with tons of food.
Great drinks, albeit expensiveAwful service, the bartender started on the wrong foot, he then improved a bit only to get a worse attitude after, without any interference from us. We just ordered drinks and did not make any comments whatsoever.Moody figures should get other jobs rather than dealing with customers. It’s good that they have to work for tips, not like in UK where it is already included whether there actually was a good service or not. In US they really have to try in order to make tips.Spend your money elsewhere guys
I had to except that beer in NY bars cost at least 10$. But this bar has a lot of beers incl. German beer. Nice food, never crowded, never too loud. All it takes!
Service was prompt and good. They were accommodating of our dietary restrictions. Food was good as well. Tried the vegan burger (without the bunny and they subbed innextra salad for me), pasta with shrimp, chicken and veggies and the French onion soup. All very good!
Amazing place for great food and great beers! Bartenders Megan and Colm are the best!
Awesome place to watch sports
Great place to take a load off, charge my phone (the bar has a strip of electrical outlets, which were very helpful), and have a bite to eat. The staff was great. The salad was as delicious. Nice clean bathroom, too.
One of my most favorite. Great drinks. Great staff.
The Keg Room is a great spot to go in Midtown! Great food and cocktails, in addition to a very large selection of draft beer. The decor is warm and inviting, and they have a million TVs on the walls, if youre into that. All that combined with a very friendly staff makes it one of my favorite spots in the city!
10 bucks for a 20oz Guinness off 5th Ave is a pretty good deal.
The bar service, drinks, food, and atmosphere 5/5. Meghan was our bartender and was a 10/10. Highly recommend to anyone.
Large beer list. Large food portions. Reasonably good service. Plenty of seating. Food was consistent with what youd expect for a place like this. Very good communication from the hostess about service times (servers tend to stop working around 11pm). There could be better drink specials.
Big restaurant bar combo. Credit card minimum is $20 so if you come alone youll likely need two medium proceed drinks or three cheaper ones. They do have $5 domestic bottles but need 4x for the credit card minimum. That complaining aside seems like a nice place. The staff is plentiful and tons of TVs. The air conditioning is cold. They do have some interesting beers on tap but not worth a special trip here. Its ok if youre in the area.Edit: changing to 4 stars based on the generous pour for a Widow Jane bourbon.iPhone pic attached for comparison.
Wings tasted like my grand dads big toe. Coke was flat…Service hit and miss, several reminders about ordered items but the worst part was the volume of the speakers during the game; so loud you need ear protection. Much better places in the area.
The Keg Room is awesome. Always a great time when we come visit this location. That location is phenomenal and provides exquisite service. Luis is very welcoming and helpful when it comes to ordering your drinks and food. Big props to Peter and his father for being super nice and a friendly guy at this welcoming establishment.
Lots of open space. Drinks were good and good amount of food. It was empty when I went on a cold winter Friday so I wont hold that against them. Very good space to have after-drinks with coworkers
Was great to be able to back inside for indoor dining again. Nice cosy atmosphere. Separate dividers and booths for Covid. Food was really good. My hubby had Celtic Burger and enjoyed it. I had Bangers and Mash. The mash, gravy & sausages were all delish. Very good service & friendly staff. Large selection of drinks.
Great vibe, good service chill atmosphere. We didnt eat there, but all plates around us were empty !!!
Possibly home to the best fish and chips in NYC. The staff is always friendly and courteous. The food is always good. Its a large place with a number of TVs including giant projector screens making it a great place to watch a game too.
Fun to hang out and watch sports or meet friends. Huge bar with great beer selection.
Horrible service, so-so beer selection, ordered an appetizer and it never came, systems kept crashing so had to pay cash (lucky I even had any on me), just overall poor experience. Don’t recommend.
Food was fantastic and great service.
Came here for St. Paddys Day and it did not disappoint. Of course I had the Corned Beef + Cabbage and Shepherds Pie, which was good! We also had their wings and a warm potato chip appetizer with a blue cheese and Sriracha dipping sauce that was delish!!! Washed it down with a cold one and enjoyed the night with good company.
In New York for the weekend and this place came through with accommodating us so that we could watch some football while the Olympics were being played everywhere else. Thank you for great service and hospitality!!
Awesome sports bar. Went to a few places nearby and nothing compared. We came back here to watch a couple games. Staff was awesome, service was amazing, and drinks were perfect. Couldn’t recommend more highly.
Irish pub - Liked it so much we went 2 days in a row. Huge bar with about 40 bar stools going all the way around. About 15 tables otherwise. Full bar with craft cocktails and 6ish beer taps. Bartenders were attentive but also left us alone. Mixed crowd of couples, families, and singles at the bar. Will likely return next time we are in the area for dinner.
Maggie was awesome! They have a good variety of craft beer and the food was grwar.
The food was rated very good by all 4 of us (wife, 2 kids and me). My son ( who is a very picky eater) even liked it (his was just a burger on a bun with nothing else). We went back because we were on vacation and he wanted another one. My daughter ate the Fish and Chips on both visits (she stripped off the breading and just are fish and fries). My wife and I shared a cheese pizza for lunch, which was almost enough for the two of us. For dinner, she had the cheese quesadilla and said, it was OK. Usually that means that she ate it but wouldnt go out of the way to have it again. I had the Shephards Pie. It was very good. My only complaint would be that the carrots were too hard (slightly undercooked). But the flavor was excellent. I would go again.
Large interior with tons of TVs playing different sports/events. Service was fast.
Too many beers on tap here and most taste like old line beer.
Food was great but dont sit in Maggie section, our waiter was helpful that took our order and manager checked on us but Maggie didnt know what the sales tax was to assist us in dividing up our bill. Then she wanted the last four digits of our credit cards to ring in our bill. We decided to do it partial cash and were adding a tip into our totals. She said she didnt know how to do that and when we only paid the total of the bill; she was angry there was no tip. Im sorry if you are in the service industry you should really know what your sales tax is and how to divide a bill and not make your customers figure it out and then get mad because you cant do math. We do feel badly if the tips were shared because the rest of the staff were great and food was good.
Awesome sports bar, great atmosphere, however the staff can be a bit resting bi*ch face at times. Depends whos on. But that aside, if youre in the area with a group of just 2 of you, its a great place to hang out.
Looking for a place airing a midweek Premier League match and ended up here. Really nice bar with friendly staff. Enjoyed the chicken tenders and Truly, while the match—with sound—played. Nice spot 🍻
Awesome service even for a big and spacious as the keg room was. Extremely attentive and also did amazing thing of considering portion size when we decided to order from their menu. Food was good. Cant really go wrong with bar food. Definitely would go back.
Got there a bit late after a show nearby. No one came up to our table to take our order. We were told kitchen closes shortly. We placed first part of our order immediately. A few minutes later the remainder of our party came and the waiter repeated the kitchen closes shortly place your order and so they did. After our order arrived we waited another 25 minutes as no one came back to the table with the second order. I went and found the waiter and he said the remainder of your order could not be processed because the kitchen closed. I said we placed our order when you told us to...he said I dont know what to tell you.Definitely NOT recommending thie Keg Room!
Great burgers and salads.Decent pint of Guinness.Friendly and efficient service.
One of my favorite Irish bars in the city. Will usally be my first choice to go see MMA fights (I recommend calling ahead to see if theyre showing) or just to go and wind down after a long night with good food and drinks. I personally recommend getting anything on the drink menu that has there words Irish Coffee in it 😋
Great service great food great steaks great beer great atmosphere.....an absolutely fantastic place to eat and drink in nyc would definitely reccomend if you are in town
Turkey burger was the best.
We visted 3 times last week while in NY. Food is excellent and we had fabulous mojitos. Really lively atmosphere and the staff are so welcoming. Absolutely loved the place. Highly recommended.
Very good food, quiet atmosphere. Great service. Had the Gaelic burger and Onion rings. Wife had a cheese burger and steak fries. Delicious! When we come back we will come in here again. Good place
Favorite NYC bar. Great bartenders that keep your glass from emptying. Good bar food from the kitchen. The ambiance is balanced between sports at the bar, music on the speakers, and dinners at the tables. Just a bunch of people enjoying a few drinks and good company
Great night meeting the NY cousins. Looked after brilliantly by our waitress, not sure of her first name but shes Irish and from Ballinrobe in Mayo! She looked after us so well that night!
French onion soup was excellent. Stake sandwich had a great taste but was on the dry side. ask for gravy on the side. Great Atmosphere, Friendly service Would eat there again
The place offers a nice verity of beers from the tap and has quite big menu. I tried the fish and chips which was prepared very well. This is a very big place and the atmosphere fits a local pub. I will recommend this place as a casual meet up.
Recommended by our concierge, we stopped by for dinner and drinks. Staff were really friendly and attentive, but not overbearing. Warm environment with cozy fireplace and great range of cocktails and craft beers. Food was really nice, definitely worth the visit :)
Delicious. My husband and I split the fish and chips and it was so good. The wings and nachos looked so good too!Great place.
Nice environment, good service. Food was just ok. Portion size was awesome, slider buns were burnt and the watermelon cocktail tasted like straight pineapple juice. But would still return next time we are in the area.
Good places to hangout with friends .spacious room within large selection of beers
Great service - quick and polite. Lots of screens to watch games and lively crowd.
After losing our reservation for the world cup finals, the bar owner or perhaps manager - an older (caucasian) woman - was able to seat us at a smaller table but was rather unprompted in telling us the rest of our party could not stand next to the table with drinks purchased from the bar because it was a fire hazard but more importantly, “this is america, we have servers, and servers must be tipped.” i guess it was hard to miss that our whole party was asian american(to be clear, we had a reservation for 10 that was confirmed over the phone twice. our party did not grow, but merely had to be rotated in and out because of this lost reservation and the small table)
We where here for a group event and had a good time. The waiter was very attentive and managed to never leave someone waiting for a drink. We also had a couple sampler platters and flat bread pizza things that everyone enjoyed.
Not good. Convenient location, spacious, decent atmosphere for a sports bar.Food is subpar quality.Essentially, this place is taking advantage of its central location and milking it. Like American car manufacturers, the lack of quality will eventually catch up with them.Very expensive for what you get. Poor value.
Management started yelling at my friend. No need for that.
Food was amazing. Like, we went back 2 days in a row amazing.
Paulaner on tap! Good food and great bartenders
Great atmosphere good beer selection and the best hot fried potato chips!Go there pretty often. People are friendly. Good watering hole. Would def recommend
We stopped by the keg room for some drinks and had a great time!It was such a spacious and clean venue. There was a lot of room to sit or walk around. The staff here is very friendly too!
Its a regular spot when in the neighborhood. Perfect pour Guinness... what else can be said? Food is pretty good as well. Apps like calamari and wings are always welcome.
Nice tasty food, cooked well.Very helpful servers and bar staff.Very clean bar compared to others nearby. Would definitely come back to this place next time Im in NYC and would definitely recommend it to others
Very good food , its a pub- restaurant with plenty of space for small or big gatherings. Its also a very convenient location and easy to find.
Pretty standard bar and eatery. Some food is good, some passable and some not so great. It tends to be hit or miss. But my favorite aspect of this place, and why I come here, is that they have Pilsner Urquell on tap. They dont serve it with the same head as in Czech but its still damn good.
Had a great conversation with the greeter. My waitress was awesome and the food spectacular! Bathrooms were cleaner than my grandmas well kept appartment. Really recomend coming here if you have the chance. Overal sweet experience!
Great service, good food, a little loud (duh its a bar) but does have its quiet times too. March madness was going on so I understand why. Our server was awesome and attentive.
One of my new favorite spots in Manhattan. Right in midtown. Close to penn. Great beer selection and i like its layout. Huge walk around rectangular bar. Plenty of seats and tvs to watch her games. Beer are a little expensive... Its to be expected here.
Nice big restaurant with a lot of beer and happy people!Nice big restaurant with a lot of beer and happy people is very popular in this part on NYC. Nice athmosphere and good food makes the final cut. Lots of places to sit and a very big bar. Liked this place and will come back again!
Good atmosphere and selection of tap beers. No flavored margarita even though it was listed as on the menu.
Ordered hard cider and my drink was disgusting. Had some nachos, which came out quickly. They dont offer beer flights after 11pm. I was annoyed since this was not mentioned when we first arrived. I would think their location near the theater district would mean they would serve people coming out of broadway shows, so they would offer beer flights at 11pm.
Nothing special. Beer and spirit pricing is wild. Jameson shot was $10. Draft beers $10. Regular whiskey was $9. Food looked good, but I wouldn’t come here again, unless they embrace holiday drink specials.
Amazing laid back atmosphere with great bartenders and staff. Definitely a go to place if you’re in the area and mood for great drinks and awesome food.
Great place to have a drink good atmosphere
2nd time here in 2 days. My team lost badly on a Sat night game to Indy. Returned for Sunday football. Why no chili? Mike came up with a very good Bloody Mary concoction. Why are you out of Bloody Mary mix…does not matter. Thanks Mary. For paying attention to things that matter.Update: the lemon chicken was A++. Better for me than the wings….that people raved about….and I am a chicken wing guy….😝
This bar/restaurant was recommended to us by the hotel staff when we needed a late meal as somewhere they went close by. Plenty of beer choices. Typical bar food offerings with a few entrees thrown in, but it was all good. My husband was hungry. Me, not so much. We both found something on the menu to satisfy us. We both would go back. Our waitperson was probably new because they had to check on several menu questions, but they were friendly and very helpful. Like most bars in NY, the kitchen closes before the bar does, so check hours first if you are looking for food.
Nice friendly guy. He wasnt quite open but still served us some drinks. Nice large bar, sports bar. Guy next to us had like a club sandwich and it was huge! Looked delicious. Fair prices, great music. Lots of screens! Will pop back in an evening it we get chance. Recommended
Food was just ok (onion soup was awesome though), service was bad. Had to chase down waiters who seemed like they were doing me a favor. Also, called in advance to make sure they’re screening a certain match on one of the big screens and was assured they are but when I got there had to fight for it.
I’ve been coming to The Keg Room since 2019 and I have to say that I keep coming back every single time for one reason…it’s a great place to wind down after a busy week. Their staff is great, their service is impeccable, and the food and drinks are quite good. I always like to get a Manhattan with an order of fish and chips whenever I’m here. I highly recommend going there, especially if you’re near the Empire State Building.
I have to commend the the staff for their graciousness and professionalism! I am embarrassed to say, but I was drinking and had not eaten yet! Needless to say I became very tipsy while waiting for my daughter to join me and my friends. I was not feeling good at all and could not stand alone so my waiter got a female staff person and helped me to the bathroom! She waited for me and monitored me! I had A also fallen and she took care of my scrapes and put bandaids on me! My daughter arrived and they monitored me all the way to the time that our ride showed up!I apologize to them for my failure to monitor myself but they get 10 stars for their kindness and hospitality! Thank you sooooo much!
Food was pretty bad. Avoid and go to pizza down the block. After food was brought to the table, the waiter never returned except to leave bill. It was obvious they did not care.
Maggie is the best!!The management should give her some help on those busy nights. The bar is critically understaffed. One bartender and 4 barbacks on a Saturday night is going to be a disaster anywhere.Drink prices were surprisingly fair for a NYC bar. We will be back.
Great sports bar. Plenty of screens. Good food.
Great sports bar with solid service. Good crowd but not too crowded.
A great pause to wandering the city
Staff was friendly and food was good.Service was a little slow, but it was quite busy for a Friday night so I don’t fault them.
Dropped in for a few drinks, the Irish Penicillin was amazing! My waiter (I think it was Kathy) was a delight, witty and cool.had a great time.
Great place to grab a meal or a drink, great staff and great food. Prices are reasonable for central nyc. Plenty of seating and a good variety.
Great bar in New York, great atmosphere and excellent selection of beers and food.
I’m visiting from south Florida I’m 2 months pregnant, have been walking around newyork for hours trying to figure out where to eat. Come to find out my ID was stolen... so finally I find this restaurant and It has salad! Which I’m craving! I walk in and I get Carded. I explain to the gentleman at the front door, I’m just coming to eat and my ID was stolen, I have the police report. His response was “you think you get to just walk up in here wherever you want and eat with no ID” I was MORTIFIED. That is the most disgusting thing anyone has ever said to me. We left. Horrible horrible service.
Me and my friend were stuck in NYC during the blizzard in the late evening, trying to find a place to hide from the chilling winds and have some warm food. Inside it was noisy, the food was excellent, plenty of screens everywhere for sports fans. If I go to NYC again, I will revisit this pub!
Fun place for food and drinks.
Great drinks and good service
I had ate here last year before the NYC marathon and remembered it being pretty good. My opinion sure did change after eating there again this year. My penne vodka with chicken was some of the worst Ive ever had. It never sat right with me. My girlfriends pesto chicken was not up to par either and she also said the food didnt sit right with her. I know what youre thinking it was pre race jitters but we both have over 30 marathons under our belts so thats not the case at all. Really wish it was as good as the first time.
Always come here with my family when we end up in the city, enjoy the drinks food and amazing staff always working there. Perfect environment for everyone especially those in the city looking for a great pub to relax at and enjoy time together
Opposite our Hyatt hotel so eazi peazi to fall straight into the warm and welcoming Keg Room Bar where the food is top class (I recommend the SIZZLING FAHITAS) and wash it all down with real good guinness or whatever your particular tipple would be-DONT MISS OUT ON THIS PLACE
Great experience at the keg room. Friendly staff, daily and weekly specials on food and drinks. Great atmosphere for an Irish pub with plenty on bar stools and huge Tvs to watch every sporting event
The keg room is a solid place for decent food to fill you up, but youre really going to sit here for drinks and the screens to watch whatever games are going on. Great spot to meet friends for casual drinks.
Large servings at a reasonable price. Pleasant atmosphere.
Luis, the manager is the best! He took care of us! He sat me down right away ! He actually said I can patiently wait for my party outside (sitting ). Who cares for their parting this way?Luis is exceptional! Muchas gracias Luis , regreso por usted!
We ordered nachos and chicken fingers, and were extremely disappointed to find that they werent crispy. It seemed like we were served re-heated, microwaved food. Come on, seriously? We had to send them back.
Great bar with a good selection of food and a fantastic selection of beer. Many TVs showing a variety of sports included Soccer (EPL and other leagues).
The manager and the doorman are rude dont go to this place!
Visited a few times whilst staying in a hotel nearby. Bar staff were always friendly and we managed to get a seat at the bar each time. Watch out for special offers on a small Perspex sign on the bar.
Typical Irish pub midtown New York. Dark and noisy atmosphere with slow but polite service. Food and drinks were ok but nothing special... You could go there if in the area, if not, you arent missing much...
Had the Celtic burger and it was amazing. Great bartenders, great food, great vibe. Would recommend coming here after work or before a big game.
We had dinner here. The food was good, but our server Denise was awesome! She was warm, friendly and attentive. We’ll come back!
Food was excellent as was the variety not to mention the drinking options. And priced extremely reasonable especially within blocks of MSG. Service was very poor, maybe was just our server.
Really cool on the inside and had a pretty good burger as well as dirty martini. Nice Tvs to watch the game But wasnt really felling that extra 🤔 to give it 5 💫
Great food and drink selection, friendly staff and immaculately clean
Loved this venue. Really well looked after boozer with friendly staff amd great choice of food and drink
