Las Ramblas

Still one of my favorite small plate causal spots in the area. You can always walk in and get seated in a short amount of time. I try to stick with the sangria options. Three pitchers of all 3 options and youre set. Tapas is perfect for a quick snack, or you can order enough for a full meal. They open the windows when the weather is warmer and it makes for great people watching.

This is one of those places which feels like an undiscovered gem. Arrived at around 7:30 on a Saturday to no wait and a few open tables, yet the food was superb and the service equally so. Solid wine list, and the waiter was helpful in deciding as we dont know much about Spanish wine. The portions were well-priced for tapas, but the best part of this meal by far was the octopus and potato dish. Its not on the menu--the one on the menu is an octopus salad--but our waiter let us know about this heaping pile of fresh, tender octopus in a light garlic sauce. A truly stunning plate. Would absolutely recommend this place, particularly the octopus.

We had a really great experience here. We ordered mostly seafood tapas and had several glasses of wine. Everything was super delicious. I highly recommend!

Very nice Spanish tapas spot. Dont come here if youre hungry since you wont be full after leaving (at least not without breaking the wallet) their Sangria is a most. But if you come in the weekend for brunch prior to 4pm youll get a great deal of $15 per pitcher. The pitcher is about 4 small glasses. But they arent cheap with the alcohol.

We love this cozy taps restaurant. Never had anything we did not enjoy. Vast menu of hot and cold tapas. Always some delicious specials on the board. Good variety of wines and sangrias.

Cozy spot for drinks and tapas. The sangria is amazing! All types - they have three. Also, get the sizzling shrimp in garlic sauce. You wont be able to stop yourself from dipping bread in that sauce! One star less only because I wish the space was bigger and seating more comfortable.

I recently ate at Las Ramblas, which is on West 4th Street near 6th Avenue. We truly enjoyed this very tiny place.Great neighborhood hole in the wall really cramped but they have great tapas and sangria.The menu is all tapas, some cold and some hot and they also offer specials each day. We had the duck sausage on a skewer with quail eggs (banderillas con chirizo de pato); bocadillos crujientes; shrimp in an amazing garlic sauce; grilled sardines (amazing); patatas bravas; albondigas; and something else I can’t remember (sorry!)They do not take reservations, it is a very small place that fills up quickly!Would definitely go back! What not to like? Fun tapas, great prices, yummy sangria and a very polite staff. By the way, the small bathroom is really cute!Don’t judge the amount of food (I like to eat LOL!!). My favorite tapas place in NYC. Very cozy little restaurant w/ excellent food, excellent sangria, and great service. What else do you need? Everything on the menu is pretty solid / surprisingly good. Good for a date or a group of 4.

This is my favorite place for tapas in New York, Ive been there for years, and last Saturday I was there again but I had a bad experience with the server, I arrived 11 PM knowing the place closes 12 but the girl working was not polite at all, remembering us all the time the place is about to close, at 20 minutes before midnight she placed her back pack in the table in front of us to make sure we know we had to live soon. Hope the owner pay attention on this, because a bad employee can ruin a great place like this one.

This place was pretty good. The space is very small so they squeeze as many people in as they could. We had a small bar table to share our tapas on which wasn’t the most comfortable. We made it work despite the lack of space. We asked if we could sit at another table that had more space and they said no. Besides that being annoying no one ended up sitting there the entire time we were there.The food was really good. We ordered sangria (strawberry sangria and pear and apple sangria). My favorite was the sparkling strawberry. Wish we had ordered more.We ordered the octopus (highly recommend), empanadas, mussels, bread, and two flans. All of the food was amazing and I would definitely come back.

I was avoiding adding a review because I dont want this to make the wait even longer, but this is one of my favorite spots! Especially if you go a little bit later in the evening, its super cozy and not too crowded.food and wine are both amazing!

Spain right in the village! the tapas is great and inspiring. their seasonal sangrias are a great match for the small plates of tasty morsels. the prices are competitive. last but not least, the staff is super sweet. a definite favorite.

All the tapas are delicious especially the Pulpo Gallego (grilled octopus with paprika), they have a good selection of Spanish wines, and their service is excellent. I always look forward to going.

MEH. The service is lacking here and we were treated rather rudely when we tried to present a discount on food through Savored. Its understandable if the discount cannot be applied for whatever reason, but the attitude that was given for even trying to use a coupon is unacceptable! Paella was not bad, but the food in general was nothing memorable, unfortunately.

My wife and I found this quiet gem years ago and well go from time to time to have some tapas and wine. This establishment reminds us of when we went to Barcelona and visited the areas of Las Ramblas. Although we cant always be in Barcelona, we can come here to remember

Simply outstanding. One guy in a small kitchen in one woman behind a small bar. Great service, great wine, outstanding food. Really creative dishes. Definitely worth a stop!

Service was wonderful with friendly and attentive servers. Yet the food was inauthentic and poor take on “tapas”.The octopus dish was good, yet the patatas bravas was more like home fries and mayo.

My favorite Tapas place in the city. Always get the paella. (Pray its on the menu that day) . Service is pretty fast. This has to be the tightest restaurant in NYC. Avoid if you are claustrophobic especially in the winter.

My only experience here was okay... Small intimate setting which can get a little cramped during peak hours. Food was okay, not as flavorful as I would have expected and portion sizes werent very satisfying (even with the free bread at the table). Bathroom was clean.

Excellent choice of wine and amazing quality tapas. Price is decent and is well worth coming here with a date. Theyll also give you a larger table if you come in a big group. The place and small and cozy and the servers are very attentive.

In NYC this place discriminates! It’s on the corner of Cornelia and West 4th. Avoid it, don’t give them your business.. Would not seat us because we were 4 guys (they presumed we were all gay) The staff and the manager were nasty. The place was half empty and we were wondering why, now we know, they turn you away if they presume you are gay. Don’t give them your money, clearly a discriminating business.

Super chill, low key tapas place. Had sardines on the menu (quite special and unusual) and fresh frog legs. Beer and flan were solid too. All the good food without the pretense. Service is very much reminiscent of a small family run place somewhere in the south of Spain.

Great tapas brunch! They were out of churros so the waiter kindly dashed down the street to get us an order from another restaurant!

This restaurant may not be real. We arrived and were brought next door (sister restaurant) with a different menu. We couldn’t get a straight answer as to where to get food from las ramblas. Food might be good but if looking for tapas there is no menu for it.

I was so glad that they had tortilla española...Wine selection was adequate and the staff really wanted to make sure that you selected a wine you would enjoy. Will return. Enjoy your meal!!

I went here for a quiet birthday dinner with my daughter. The food was very good. We had the paella, mussels.. We were very full and satisfied after dinner. They were very attentive but not overbearing. I will definitely come here again.. the only thing I didnt like was their Sangria (red). It tasted watered down and a bit sour.

Was looking for tapas with a friend one night local to her apartment on Leroy St and she suggested this place. It’s small, intimate and the food is great. Best of all, the waiter asked for my number to take me out on a date. It went so well, we ended up married and have two kids. You never know where a night out in New York will lead.

Delicious tapas! My boyfriend and I visited Las Ramblas and adored it. The food was all extremely flavorful and authentic. We tried all of the varieties of sangria on the menu and were absolutely blown away. We cant wait to come back!

This place has delicious tapas and a long list of great Spanish wine for a reasonable price. The staff is super friendly and very attentive. Also they have in tap two of the best Spanish beers. Definitely a small hidden gem!

Love this place and have for the last few years, we moved from NY to CA and come to Las Ramblas each time we visit, it is such a cute place, tiny and cozy, with great drinks and great tapas as well as amazing specials... the Tempranillo reds are amazing... and I actually like the tapas here more than the ones I had in Barcelona! Great place for friends or a date or even a solo snack!

Honestly I believe one of the best hidden gems in NY. Tapas are always delicious (esp the patatas bravas!) reasonable wines and a nice ambiance. Tiny place so not good for big groups but for a couple friends or a date think its great.

If you can get in here, you need to. Amazingly personable service and great Spanish fare. The gambas come out boiling hot and the albondigas are a perfect blend of herbaceous and meaty. Dont forget a pitcher of sangria!

One of my all time favorite tapas joints in NYC. Seating is tight, shrimp in white wine and garlic is a must, as well as patata bravas.Seating is tight, normal wait times are 10-20 minutes but worthy of your investment.

This has been my spot for months now. I’d totally recommend the Plato De Quesos and Chipirones Fritos. Atmosphere is fantastic with Spanish music playing in the background. It’s a very cute date spot.

Tucked away in the West Village, youll only find Las Ramblas by the crowd that is engulfing the small establishment or by the small fake street sign bearing their name on a lamp post. Tables are packed closely together and the tapas menu is simple. They offer multiple types of sangria by the glass or pitcher. Paying for two glasses just about equates to the price of pitcher, so choose the latter. The shrimp (gambas san martin) was probably one of my favorites. In fact, after finishing the shrimp, we continued to use the flavorful sauce for dipping bread. There were more dishes I wanted to order than we could finish, so another visit will be required.

Small. And, thats exactly what youll love about this place. Great eats, welcoming staff.

Authentic tapas in a cozy shop in the heart of NYs West Village. Its really hard to find something not tasty on their menu. Patatas bravas are a classic staple, but do try at least one of their daily specials. We were lucky enough to grab the last seafood pasta paella dish and it was just right! The sparkling strawberry sangria was super refreshing on a steamy summer day, but you wont be getting drunk too easily on one of these. The staff are all very friendly and make you feel right at home.

One of the first places I tell people to go to if theyre looking for great food in Manhattan. Ive been here about a dozen times over the past few years. The sangria is some of the best Ive ever had. The Spanish tortilla and bravas are a must as well as the serrano and morcilla.Its a bit tight inside and the chairs arent the most comfortable but the food is phenomenal. Take someone here and theyll be booking a flight to Barcelona in no time.

Portions are very small even for tapas but food was tasty and service was excellent. They have all the traditional Spanish staples like croquetas, patatas bravas, paella and sangria.

Their tapas are perfect for sharing. They make a delicious Pulpo Gallego (Galician Octopus) that is not on their menu but can be requested.

Las Ramblas = bad tummy. Not sure where to start. The quail egg & duck sausage tasted really bad and not fresh. The sangria was awful, bread spongy and not fresh. I was very hungry and tried to eat what I could and now suffering for it. Worst meal in my life.

Enjoy the cozy and intimate space and partake in the Gambas San Martin, the Calameres Fritos and the Empanadas de Pollo. Tables are very close together, so strike up a conversation with your neighbors

I like this place- all the food tasted very good but it was all sort of a version of the same thing for the price - shrimp was my favorite. The atmosphere was slightly confusing- nice and open air but weird loud music that didnt match the rest of the restaurant vibe. But a very nice wait staff!

The sangria was a bit weak, but the paella was very, very good. They used the same rice that is found in Valencia. They also brought us some exquisite squid. They have Mahou on tap which reminds me a lot of my old days in Madrid. I would return.
