Caffe Venezia

Caffe Venezia is a lovely spot right in the heart of Little Italy. The owner Willie greeted us like if we were just coming back home. We ordered gnocchi a la vodka, bruschetta, spaghetti carbonara and the Willie Special Pizza (which was my personal favorite, if you like a little spice in your food!).Service was great, food was delicious and they had drinks to go, as well. Will definitely come back whenever in Manhattan!

I selected this location because they had a beautiful staff who was very welcoming on the front. All restaurants were looking for customers to patron their establishments because of the San Gennaro Festival. I eat the lobster ravioli and it was delicious. They had a selection of aqua fresca for refreshments. My grandbaby loved the fresh mozzarella sticks. Will definitely return again.

We knew we wanted to try something in Little Italy, and we just happened to stumble across this place. I thought that I had eaten good gnocchi in the past. But come to find out I really had not. What they made here was made in house, and the gnocchi was like little pillows of love. They were absolutely amazing the red sauce was so good. We had the gnocchi a shrimp with garlic wine sauce, and some calamari to start us off. Everything was exceptional the service was great, the food was great, and the atmosphere was really cool where it was located.

We only ordered pizza in this restaurant and it was by far the worst I can remember in a long time and the worst meal we had during our Manhattan vacation. We ordered over pepperoni and one Margherita and both were a soggy sloppy mess. The crust was too thin in the center (poor dough prep) and not cooked sufficiently so the slices collapsed as soon as you pulled from the pie. Also, Im pretty sure a Margherita pizza is not just a cheese pizza with a few basil leaves. They offered to remake the pizza but because the first attempt was terrible there was no need to try again. I cant dish to the other menu items but do not order pizza here.

Basic. Food didnt really taste like anything. Calamari was fried perfectly, but it didnt have ANY flavor. The sauce seemed like basic tomato paste. And the bruschetta was just plain. Lots of tomatoes, cheese, and basil, but again, it didnt taste like anything. Our mango margaritas were made with a mix that left an after taste; not real mango. Disappointed is an understatement.

Sort of stumbled across this place after visiting the hubby at Bloomingdale’s. They were very nice and accommodating. I was waiting for him to get off work and just kind of hung out enjoying the frozen margarita. The salmon plate was sooooo good. I couldn’t eat it all so they boxed it up for me and told me to relax and enjoy myself. Even brought out olive oil to enjoy with my bread and margarita post dinner. Sweet to my pup too. He def approved Lol

This was my first trip to NY I’ve ever been on. I came across this place and they were so kind, I was shocked seeing that other places we ate at in the area were pretty rude and wanted to rush you. They really treated me and my family like their own. They talked to us, joked with us. Made sure we were taken care of and comfortable. And the food was amazing. I wish they had a spot in my area but they don’t. I would give this restrauant more stars if I could but 5 is the max lol. It was just refreshing to come to a restaurant that treated you like, not only people, but family. Though I met the owner one time he spoke with us and got us served like he knew us his whole life. I would definitely go back. And to be honest this restaurant was the highlight of our trip

This quaint Italian Restaurant as soon as you enter New York’s Little Italy is amazing! On our 6 night trip we returned to this restaurant multiple times because it was so good! Homemade Italian food in the quintessential atmosphere was a favorite among everyone in our group! Even the noodles are homemade! Joseph and Victor will take AMAZING care of you! They sure took of us KY girls!

My wife and I went here looking for a tasty and authentic Italian meal, unfortunately we got neither. I ordered the spaghetti bolegnese and my wife ordered the lasagne. Both came on chipped plates, the spaghetti was bland and the lasagne was vile. The servers were surly and the guy who took the payment was outright dismissive and rude. And they had the cheek to charge a standard 20% service charge and had still looked to get a tip.Ive been to Italy and Ive eaten in many Italian restaurants and this was not an italian mean, I would say that it is easily the worse meal I have ever had. I would avoid this place like the plague because thats what my food tasted like!!

This is one of the very few restaurants on Mulberry Street that stays open late at night. I like the Margherita pizza and the piña colada. The waiter was attentive too. The decorations in the outdoor booth are cute.

Appetizers and food is pretty good, staff are friendly. I don’t like that they are slow to service, didn’t check on us even once during the meal while having an 18% forced gratuity added to the bill

Our server Victor was amazing. He made our visit to little Italy so enjoyable.We will definitely return to Caffe de la Venezia. This was truly an experience to remember ❤️The food and drinks were also amazing. But service that makes you feel like family is truly special.

Best authentic Italian food, great service, very welcoming. A must place to visit in Little Italy. We came across this gem while shopping and site seeing. The owner, such a genuinely nice guy welcomed us in to take a break and enjoy food and drink. He made us feel like family and the food was amazing, so much so we came back before flying back home. Much to our surprise he remembered us from 2 days before and welcomed us with open arms. If only we could find a place this amazing back home. Great food, exceptional service and just the perfect place to take a much needed break. This is a must when in Little Italy. I plan to return again someday, next time in NYC. Thank you for such an exceptional experience.

We tried the most expensive French restaurant, several different pizza places and restaurants.This was by far the beat one we have had in NYC.The food was surprisingly amazing, everything we tried and the staff was so sweet!Loved it, wish I had come here to celebrate my birthday instead!

The staff was really friendly and helpful and the food was overall good and some dishes even better! And they have good prices compared to other restaurants in the area. I would definitely go back and recommend to try one of their pizzas

We have been coming here for a while and I decided to have my birthday party here. Willy and the rest of the staff was amazing, and truly made the night so special. They were accommodating to all of our requests, and even went out of their way to help us hang decorations and personalize our shot glasses. The atmosphere of this place is so fun. It was one of the best birthdays and its all thanks to cafe Venezia

Such a great place! Like most, I’m visiting from out of town. They made me feel like family here. And the drinks are DELICIOUS. Hostess (didn’t get her name, Owner Willie (might just be a manager, but either way), and Server Aaron were all impeccable. Didn’t expect to fall in love with this little caffe, but my god. They knock it all out of the park.

We are visiting our son in Little Italy. We were just out walking today and happened into this place. It was lunchtime. We shared a slice of cheese pizza and the appetizer eggplant rollatini. We were surprised at how good it all was. The best pizza I e had in a long time. The eggplant dish was just delicious. Very nice folks as well. Very enjoyable experience

We stopped here on our way back to our hotel for a to-go order. The zucchini fritti was AMAZING! The pizza was incredible! We can’t wait to come back so that we can eat here again - this time we’ll be eating it there! For as good as the to-go order was, I can’t imagine how good it will be when we eat it there! Loved the atmosphere too!!!

Food was mediocre. service was terrible. didn’t give us already ordered waters until we explicitly asked for them. i was on a school trip and they gave us pre-paid cards that had a balance of $15 on them. my friends and i paid with separate checks and tried to convey that the cards had a limited balance and that we could pay with other cards if needed. the waiter lost his temper and talked to us patronizingly. eventually we paid for our meal and walked away. waiter also tipped himself and did not ask for any input by us. would not go again or recommend. would give 0 stars if possible.

Here a month ago- Cute place, but the pizza was not it. My husband and I went here to have A slice each of NY heavenly pizza. Instead we got a burnt crust, greasy cheese and with no sauce on the pizza-With 2 drinks was $22 + 5 tip which to say was a lot for the service we got. >.

This is quite simply the finest Italian cuisine you will ever have. My family and I have been coming for years as it was previously in a different Mulberry St location under another name.The chicken parm is perfection. They use the freshest chicken and breading. It is thin and crisp yet still a sizeable portion. You get an ideal balance between chicken, sauce and cheese.The pizza they added more recently and it is also to die for; we usually pick up a pizza pie as an appetizer. My family members and friends love the spaghetti alla carbonara and other entrees. This is our favorite restaurant in the world and our only regret is we are not in the city more often to enjoy it.Finally, and perhaps most importantly, a note about hospitality. Willy and the entire team will treat you like family here. They care immensely about their customers and it shows.My favorite restaurant ever and hopefully it will be yours too!!

Came here to pee and have a drink, but because everything we tried was amazing, we just kept ordering more. Best food weve had in 4 days of Manhattan and we have been to some FANCY high $$$ places.

Just came in for dessert and coffee with my friend. Were visiting NYC from Houston. The desserts were very good! My friend had never had a cannoli before. She loved them! The carrot cake was also good. I also tried their cappuccino, which was great. The dtsff was friendly. The prices reasonable. Id say for sure worth the stop if youre in Little Italy!

DISGUSTING !! I asked to use the bathroom before I sat down and ordered. The owner was rude blah blah I understand there is covid but I was going to order blah…. His attitude made me turn away from this establishment. The waiters were very kind and apologized for the owners actions. This business would be better if they didnt have such an arrogant and inhumane owner. How can you deny a bathroom to my young daughter before we ordered? He demanded we FIRST sat down, drank water, then use the bathroom. My daughter could not hold her bladder. The owner needs to show more compassion in order to stay in business.

Popped in for wine and dessert -- The gelato was to die for! Tried some wines by the glass and enjoyed every one of them! Willie was friendly, the outside atmosphere was so cute (had a majestic feel) good vibes all around. I will definitely be coming back for dinner soon!

DO NOT GO HERE EVER .I don’t usually write review for any property. But I am compelled to, because this restaurant is a total scam when it comes to billing.Went with my friends to eat, billing was miscalculated & we were charged more than we were supposed to.It was our big mistake that we didn’t look at the reviews before checking -in to dine.This place it’s not even worth 1start. Never ever gonna go here again the worst experience I have had . This place is totally robbing the customers by over charging and the bill is also very hard to even read plus there r multiple unwanted charges . Very unhappy with this place n there is this server in his mid 40s or 50s who is the worst . Would never recommend this place to anyone .

No one should eat here. We sat down because our kids were hungry and love plain pasta. We knew we were in the heart of tourist restaurants, so we didnt have high expectations, but we asked them if they make their own pasta and they said Yes, so we gave it a shot. The kids had ziti, clearly out of the box. I had Gnocchi, very obviously packaged and not homemade. My wife had spaghetti in meat sauce which was so salty, it was hard to eat, but was still the best thing on the table.Bad food is one thing, but lying about it being homemade is not acceptable.The waitress asked how everything was, to which I said the kids are happy, thats what matters, planning on leaving it at that. She follows up with and the adults? ... Well, if she really wanted to know, I told her that I wasnt happy that its clearly not homemade pasta. She actually debated it and said it was until finally sulking away knowing she was caught in a lie. They must do this to tourists all the time and its not right.To top it off, if you wanted to show your displeasure with a lower than normal tip, you cant... They automatically add 18% tip even though we were only 4 people. Also a scam. Avoid this place and probably all of the other places like it in the area. Few blocks west, you can find good places to eat. My mistake, wont happen again.

Best food and service we had our whole trip! You walk in and the owner treats you like family. They didn’t just rush you in and out. The food was amazing (chicken Parm, bruschetta, and Tiramisu). You will not be disappointed! Can’t wait to come back

The owner is extremely disrespectful. He spoke in spanish to us very rudely. I love italian food but he made the experience terrible. The owner should learn how to respect people and not belittle them. The bakery across the street La Bella Ferrara is better and they are EXTREMELY KIND! DO NOT GO HERE.

If I could give this place a -10000 I would. I had a horrible experience with their staff. It all started when I called to make reservations, the person who picked up the phone was very rude, was rushing and said they were too busy to answer my questions and that they couldnt make reservations. I arrived, they told us it would be a 30-40 min wait, the place wasnt even as busy as the person on the phone made it seemed. We waited 10 mins for a table (not bad). After we sat down we tell them we had bought a pulsd deal they changed our waiter. They brought horrible mimosas! So watery and with ice! After we told them they didnt taste right he brought another one and that once was pure juice. It had 0 champagne! I told the waiter and he just rolled his eyes at us and turned around. Each round of drinks took 10-20 minutes to arrive. After we finished our meal our waiter asked if i wanted one more this is after being seated for 45 minutes and the deal had 1:45 minutes of unlimited mimosas .. he replied you only have 10 mins we said no we have... he walked away left me talking to myself. Comes back 5 mins later saying that he had it written down at the time it started. I told him to give me the time he had he looked at his paper and had nothing. Then goes Ok, I have the same time you have how long did you say? (We had 45 mins left of bottomless brunch left) he then continues to tell me how bad Pulsd is and how they make no money because they take 50%. He then says Ill bring you your drink it was 3:06 when he said that and we got our drinks at 3:29. It was purely intentional. I asked another employee for the manager or the owner he says hes going to tell him to come over, I then see the manager say to him no Im not going and he never came.Never come here this place is horrible, worst experience I have ever had.

Had the most wonderful meal. The manicotti and farafelle with salmon and vodka cream sauce we my personal favorites but everything was delicious. Intimate place but Willie was wonderful and we can’t wait to go back. The limoncello and tiramisu 👌🏻

SCAM ALERT !!!! BEWARE!!!!This place is absolutely filthy, no precaution is taken for Covid, and the plates and cups are NOT WASHED. I got sick after eating here, not sure if it was from the food or unsanitary conditionsAlso, be aware that the restaurant is PRICE GOUGING - they claim its because of a festival, but they are just plain shady, and as several customers have already said - they go out of their way to make customer service adversarial and completely destroy any vibe.With so many good restaurants in Little Italy, that are CLEANER, have better food and BETTER SERVICE, there is no reason for this place to exist. If you do have the unfortunate experience of having to go here, make sure you at least eat outside, because the inside is absolutely filthy and I have already contacted the Department of Health to pay them a visit for both their neglect of covid and their unsanitary conditions

Came here just for the cannoli, which was good. But the waiter was incredibly rude to my husband, making aggressive comments towards him throughout his service, including waving the bill in his face and yelling at him to pay for the meal for me. I understand the waiter was probably trying to be playful, but it was extremely uncomfortable and frankly sexist.

We went to Little Italy for lunch & went to this place. Before placing our order, we asked the server girl, if they sell pizza by slice, for which she replied “they do, & it’s $6 per slice.So, we sit at one of the table. A man in 40’s or late 30’s (Latino) came to take our order. We ordered bread with some topping (forgot the exact name) , 2 cans of soda, & mushrooms pizza (we thought it was slice).Later on the man came & said ,”you ordered a whole pie right ?, you didn’t say slice & the order has been placed”.We didn’t want to argue much as the order has been placed so, we agreed to get the whole pie.When the time for bill payment came,There was no description of order details completely. $12, $20 & $9 = $41 + tax $4 = $ 45 + $8 = $53 (total Billing).Before making the payment, we tried to figure out how this whole bill was being charged . $12(for bread), $20 (for whole pie of pizza) $9 (for 2 can of sodas-we felt that price was ridiculous for just can of soda) & than $8 (we thought they might had included it as tips )So, we gave the credit card for payment. The man came with bill & now it’s $ 49 + $4.35 = $53. 35 & tip (blank to input digits for us). We didn’t leave any tip, because we thought that guy already included at the first receipt that be presented to us.When I got home I checked the online menu & soda price is $2.50 each. We should have been charged $5 for soda, but he charged $9.If this is how you do the business, your business will ruin for long term.If I am wrong here, please give me an explanation.This is total Scam. I don’t know, how can other staffs stay blind when one of the staff is creating fraud with service & billing.

For a few minutes, I had travelled to Italy. A bit outdated decor, and although the staff was definitely not Italian, they made the place warm and welcoming.The cappuccino was out of this world, the pizza a d the fried calamari was crispy and delicious.Not for the budget minded lunch seeker.

Went here for my sons birthday yesterday. Victor was so sweet we got pizza that was so good. They brought us a dessert to share for his birthday too. Will visit again

Staff are unprofessional and rude to customers. Staff made inappropriate and rude comments about what we ordered and accused us of bad-mouthing the food when friends stopped to say hello to us but went to eat elsewhere.

We ordered a margarita pizza and they brought out what looked like a frozen cheese pizza with a basil leaf on it.

Food was runny and we had to talk to the employee in order to get our money back after paying extra. If we didnt get our money he wouldve gained $90

Leave!! They are scammers. Place NOT to do bottomless. Mimosas with 0% champagne and full orange juice. They tell you 90 minutes and at 60 they want to kick you out. Large pizzas, very greasy. Pasta that are nothing from the other world, but because of the bad treatment they dont fit in well. Then they add charges to the account to scrape in a few extra bucks.

A great experience, magnificent treatment and very delicious 100% Italian food, 100% recommended. Also, saying that it was our honeymoon, he invited us to some tequilas and Italian beer for $5.

Dont go to this place, tourist trap, they first tricked us by saying that the bill was $18 so that we could take something else and pay with a card and then it turns out that it was $22 and with taxes $35. The waiter deliberately misled us a fraud

It has nothing to do with Italy.The tiramisu is good. Its cold in the room. The hot tea was barely warm. The unpleasant staff.

We didnt eat there, we just had a coffee, they are very nice people, the kind you usually find in little Italy.

After reading great reviews, I decided to try it myself. The results were surprising. Delicious artisanal pasta, made al dente, with a delicious and fresh sauce. Portions are generous, rest assured you wont be hungry after eating your plate. Dont hesitate and go! And the delicious aperol spriz

SCAMMERS, RUDE AND I FALL SHORT!They charged us $87 for a plate of spaghetti with tomato (quite tasteless) and two soft drinks, including the two glasses of sangria that they gave us as a reward and that we also paid for.When we notified the error in the account, the owner became angry and was very impolite and rude, throwing us out onto the street in a very bad manner.On the door it said that you could pay with Apple Pay and contactless; It didnt work and, without offering any other solution, he called the police because he said we werent going to pay. When the police came, we explained the problem and they scolded the owner for being a liar and rude. We were right. We ended up paying almost $90 for a handful of tomato pasta and drink by manually entering the credit card.There are many restaurants in Little Italy, DONT GO TO THIS ONE, ITS ALL BAD!

It is a small cafe and light cuisine, at the moment you can only eat at tables outside. The food is very limited, the margherita pizza had almost no dough, the mozzarella was melted but in lumps, the sauce was mixed with the mozzarella. Not very tasty and despite being burnt at the base, it was soft and wet.The service tried to be cordial, the cost was not very high, but it seemed expensive for the amount offered.
