What a fantastic place! First of all, loved how the male host took care of my friend and I. He made sure we got seated where we could. That already made us feel taken care of. The bartenders were great guys, super friendly and helpful. Now the food, divine. There is something here for everyone. Whether youre vegan or gluten free, or both! I felt like having something really light, so I ordered something vegan and gluten free with the carrot sides. Oh my, it was super delicious. Very tastey & seasoned to perfection. I will be back next time to feast on the other regular dishes. Everything looked and smelled so good. Also, pictures dont do this place justice. It is beautiful inside. I loved the ambiance. Just found one my new favorite NYC restaurants. Worth the visit here.
Took the wife and kids for lunch over XMas break. I go here a lot for work and wanted to bring the family. We had an amazing time - the service was great as always and the food was top notch. We did past and salads. The waiter brought us elephant ear cookies for desert. They were incredible.
Our reviews had over 56 million views in the last 12 months. We do not get paid we just love to eat and have fun. We really love Casa Lever. Appetizers are awesome and be sure to have the octopus if they have it and the burrata which is about the creamiest I have ever had. Best carbonara in town. She loved the mushroom raviolis. Desserts are to die for, if you are lucky they have the special chocolate hazelnut cake with cream inside which will make your hair on your arm stand up. I included photos of the panna Cota dessert with is a 10 plus as well as a bottle of wine that was very sweet but if you ladies want a white wine that is almost as sweet as a dessert wine this one is recommended by the joint and was perfect (at least that is what she said). Also photo of the prosciutto. She is Italian and said it is some of the best ever. Definitely this place is a winner Check out all of our reviews and look at all the photos below. If we do not like it we do no review it so all of the ones you see are places that are fantastic. Follow us if you like. We had over 56 million views in the last 12 months and we thank you for that. One of the iconic bars in NYC, inside a great restaurant!Where Bankers take their wealthy clients for a great meal.Food, service and decor are top notch!Never disappoints.
Have dined at Casa Lever at least a half dozen times throughout the years. It serves up a very modern and sleek northern Italian dining experience versus an establishment like Cellini (another great Italian restaurant in the area) that has more of the traditional Italian setting.Casa Lever is a great spot to meet clients for lunch in Midtown or friends after work for a drink when the outdoor bar is open. The food and service have always been solid. When this restaurant originally opened, they had the most amazing artwork inside. That alone was a great reason to visit! Now you go back for the fantastic food and atmosphere.
On a business trip, I stumbled upon this gem of a patio. Wonderful food and wine recommendations by staff, met with kindness from the hostess to the bartenders to the manager - every detail here was considered. Cannot speak highly enough of this dinner. Thank you for a lovely evening.
Went during the NYC restaurant week, excellent service, very attentive and professional. The pasta is just perfect, beef steak is tender, and the best of all the tiramisu is the best ever, enough bitterness and not too sweet. Will definitely return and recommend to friends and family.
Amazing lunch! The chicken paillard was perfectly cooked, and the salads were fresh and delicious. Great food, beautiful ambiance, and excellent service make this place a must-visit!
Came here for a work dinner and was pleasantly surprised. I had the duck breast and it was well cooked, plus the foie gras is a nice added touch. The hamachi appetizer was skippable (expensive and the stuff sprinkled on top took away from the fish, plus the fish quality wasn’t the best). Service and atmosphere was excellent!
Delicious and well worth the cost. Highly recommend this spot.
This place is just such a treat with some of the best outdoor seating in the city. It’s been around forever. The service is impeccable. It’s the big brother restaurant to sant ambroeus but is significantly better in quality. It’s a great after work happy hour for people watching too. This is where you’ll find your 6’5 blue eyed finance guy. Carbonara is the weakest dish imo.
All their drinks are art inspired!!!! Plus, a lovely meal and excellent food. Service is fabulous. Vibe is artsy and very funky mod with a classic vibe. Very much worth it for a celebration meal!
Walked in with my family of five- stood in a totally empty entrance way in a nearly empty restaurant looking at their menu online only to be rudely and sarcastically chastised by the hostess about “blocking the entrance for other patrons”. We had stood there for 30 seconds and had she waited 30 more we would have probably sat down and dropped $600 on wine and food- but she wanted to be a big shot. 🤷🏼♀️
One of the best glasses of white wine at the Casa Lever, Midtown East Bar. Nice post - work happy (but not happy hour) crowd. $$ of $$$$$ . I would recommend Casa Lever.
Excellent service. Well heated plastic igloo structure offers an inclusive but well ventilated space for the group. Carbonara - rich, creamy, with slight kick from the guanciale bits. Pasta was very well cooked. Personally the portion size was just right - enough to feel satiated but not too much to overwhelm. Will be back for a dinner meal and drinks.
It doesnt get any better than this, thank you Casa Lever Team.
One the best restaurants experience at Manhattan. We love it.Strongly recomended. If you meet servant Carlo you are the winer.
Oh my expensive, but wait, wait, Oh so good. Fine dinning at its best at the best level of Italian food. We did Thanksgiving dinner here with no regrets. The service was a 10 out of 5, not enough stars. I had the Pasta with clams, one of my favorites anywhere and this was the best. The Caesar salad had the proper anchovies and the croutons were home made and I could have eaten a bowl of those. Well done by all. Ya parking, well it is New York, good luck
It was fine dining at this northern Italian themed restaurant. It was all excellent from the start of the meal with prosciutto to the end with raspberry crostata. The service was beyond accommodating and friendly. The atmosphere was calm and very relaxing. The place itself was described by my family as being in a space ship or ocean liner. For me it was just pure elegance.
Go to see what remains of the original famous mid-century modern dining room. The renovation is sad - and appears to have been done on the cheep. The food is just fine - but Park Ave expensive while not in any way inventive, interesting, or devine. There is so much better Italian cuisine to enjoy in NYC.
Celebrated an engagement without the restaurant knowing and the level of care was amazing. We felt the need to tell the manager just to see if it could get better… Jason proceeded to make us laugh the entire time as well as Michaele our amazing Italian server. It was a dinner with a show..It is on the pricey side but it’s so worth it!
I had the pleasure of dining at Casa Lever shortly after their reopening, and I must say, it was a delightful experience from start to finish. The effort they put into the revamp truly showed, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that perfectly complemented the excellent dining experience. The highlight of the evening was definitely the food. I highly recommend trying the Veal Osso Buco; it was a true culinary delight that left me craving more. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the dish was cooked to perfection.I also want to give a special mention to Adam, our waiter, who provided top-notch service throughout our meal. He was attentive, friendly, and truly enhanced our overall dining experience with his excellent care and attention to detail. In conclusion, my experience at Casa Lever was nothing short of fantastic. From the delicious food to the impeccable service, everything exceeded my expectations.
One of my all time favorite spots in midtown. I’ve been coming here for years and Casa Lever always hits the mark. The food and service is exceptional.
Amazing service and extremely high quality and authentic Italian food!
I come to Casa Lever every six months or so and every visit always brings me happiness. The food was excellent and the restaurant is elegant. They have a robust selection of wine and the cocktails were delicately made. The service team is probably one of the best in NYC which is the reason that forces me to go back often.
Always an amazing experience. Antonio is the best!
All clean and shiny....great food and service returns. Carciofe and Parmigiano was delicious. Prosciutto carved just right. I like that Casa Lever lists all their suppliers.Osso buco hit a home run. We overindulged on desserts and pasta. Should sleep well tonight with take home treats for tomorrow.
5+++ stars for Casa Lever. The food was incredible and the service and atmosphere is the best you will find in NYC. This restaurant deserves Michelin stars!!!
Food: It is expensive but worth it if you want a fancy modern Italian dinner (or lunch)! Ive been many times for special occasion and date nights.Service: usually great, though sometimes they get a tad busy.Atmosphere: Depending on where you are sitting, ranges from good to amazing. The interior design/architecture/art are lovely.
Amazing place, awesome waiters, and delicious food. I went there for my girlfriend’s 25th birthday, our waiter was very nice and friendly. Food came out quick and good. I especially enjoyed the decor and the atmosphere. Will definitely come back!
I was walking past after a day of shopping and decided to stop in for a late lunch. I did not realize it was fine dining as I had my infant in a stroller with me. They do not allow strollers in the dining area but instead of turning me away they graciously allowed me to check my stroller and keep the bassinet attachment with me at the table which I greatly appreciated. The service and food were both fantastic! The vongole was one of the best I’ve ever had. I will definitely return with just my husband for a date night as it is not a great space for children. Thankfully my little one slept the whole time and the staff was very nice about it. 10/10 experience highly recommend for a nice business lunch or date night dinner.
I randomly went to this restaurant in between my meetings in the city, and I was blown away by everything about this place - the welcoming people, the top notch service from the beginning to the end, the perfect home made pasta, and the interior design, and art.I had arrabbiata and the home made pasta was perfectly Al dente with lots of flavor from the crispy garlic and the olive oil. It was truly one of the best in the cities.Towards the end I even got surprising, unexpected gift from the restaurant that I never received in my life - it made my experience here extra special and brighten up my rest of Monday.I will definitely recommend this place to anyone and will come back with my clients or or with my family in the near future.
Beautiful service. Sensational food. Will always come back.
What a gem. The food is great, but the service is the star. The authentic mid century mod setting is really special, and so glad it’s preserved.
A good friend of mine hosted us here for her birthday and it was a great experience. The restaurant is beautiful, and the service is impeccable. We had a fixed menu and everything was delicious. The drinks were also great and I really recommend this place for celebrating a special day or just for any occasion really
Lovely evening atmosphere, enjoyable drinks. Would recommend!
A really fantastic restaurant. The food is of the highest standard. For any kind of going out, just amazing. We will think about this restaurant visit for a long time. Thanks to the staff for this first class service.
One hopes that a restaurant in a building like Lever House will live up to its reputation, and Casa Lever does not disappoint. The food is suited to the landmark interior; every item is perfectly prepared and presented. The wine list is superb and the service is excellent. I cant rave enough!
A beautiful and delicious restaurant with great food and unique, futuristic decor! Fantastic service and a truly memorable dining room. Good cocktails and an extensive wine list.
I have dined outside at many many New York restaurants since Covid started, and I have to say that Casa Lever has been the pinnacle of my experience. My little private opaque house was exquisite, and very toasty warm and comfortable. My dog accompanied me and was given water and warmly welcomed. The service was flawless and we could never want for more. The food was divine and could not have been better. Hats off to Casa Lever for doing an incredible job!!
My wife set up date night for Casa Lever and OMG was it an exceptional experience!! From the moment we walked in we were catered to. The staff were so warm and sweet. The space is right out of a magazine, its really that beautiful! Everything is with covid-19 in mind. As an example, the bread arrives in a sealed kraft paper bag.The food was so perfectly prepared and served super hot! Just the way I like it. The server was super attentive yet perfectly professional. The detail to food preparation and presentation was only surpassed by the exquisite flavors the chef was deftly able to cajole out of the ingredients. The pricing was reasonable for the service and quality. For those of you wondering how date night ended......exactly as you think, thanks to Casa Lever!
Some of the worst pasta I have had for a long time. I had the artichoke started which was just awful and the vongole main which was so over cooked it was embarrassing. It was a client dinner so I really couldn’t kick up too much fuss, but d ok not go here. It’s not cheap and there are sooo many better places at this price point.
Incredible space, food, and service. Was blown away.
Dined at 2:30pm Monday. Reservation was at 3pm. We are able to be seated as there was only a few people present. COVID19 vaccination cards was checked at Reception and Masking was mandatory. Overall the food was excellent for a Northern Italian cuisine. The portions was just right for any state of hunger. Service was attentive without being rushed. We had three orders of pasta, osso bucco, Wine, soft drinks, an appetizer, two types of dessert and an espresso all for $$$.
Really a wonderful upscale Park Ave venue 😍
Beautiful setting with a remarkable architecture and a series of portraits by Warhol. They offer a very interesting prix fixe menu on Friday nights. Food is serious. I loved their spinach gnocchi - you can really taste the spinach, and their skate slightly fried and topped with a kind of beurre blanc. The cocktails are inspired by famous paintings and pretty original.
I had breakfast, but next time Ill come for dinner!
Wow. Delicious food, sexy atmosphere, and outstanding service.
Absolutely great food , service , decor . Restaurant week menu was sooo good : carpaccio , steak , the gianduia dessert one of the best I ever had ! Service excellent ! Why not 5 stars ? Simple : we had one wine pairing and was way below everything else . Sorry but very poor choices on those pairing (since i am a Sommelier for sure better than the one who picked those poor pairing ... next time i pick the wine ! ) . But the rest is phenomenal! Thank you .
I came here for Restaurant Week dinner on a Wednesday night. Its in the Lever building on Park Avenue but the entrance to the restaurant is on 53rd St. The decor was interesting, modern and the main wall has a series of Andy Warhol paintings. The service was very attentive, more than any restaurant Ive been to in New York. They actually asked twice if we wanted more bread for the bread basket and our water glasses were never half empty. The food was great as well. Usually for Restaurant Week, the portions are smaller and the choices are fewer. Their Restaurant Week menu had the same portions as their regular menu and each course had 4 or 5 options which was nice. I had the beef carpaccio, salmon, and the gianduia. All the dishes were tasty and great presentation. Im not even a dessert person but I really enjoyed the gianduia. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone for a lovely dinner if you happen to be in midtown east.
Great service, food was good, especially dessert, nice atmosphere, great location.
An absolute gem of a restaurant in NYC. The venue, food, ambiance and staff are all amazing.
A first date over a birthday celebration could nor have been more pleasant and succeful. Not only the food was delicious but the room , the service from greeting to say goodnight was exceptional. The GM was nothing short of a role model for his category in the city .Bravissimi
Happy to have found this place after spending the day at MoMA and before my plane back home. Each staff interaction was excellent starting at the coat check at front. Staff parted ways in the dining room as I headed to the restroom.Menu was all over the board catering to all tastes and adventurous levels...featuring well made Italian recipes.I had some fresh Cantabrian anchovies and vermicelli with bottarga....both were amazing. Their bread service is dynamite too.I ate at bar, bartender dealt with my average attempt to speak Italian and engaged with me although didnt force it. Nice that restaurant had plenty of Italian staff members in general. Everyone was focused and on same page.Bring your wallet as all these fresh ingredients will cost you. Wines by the glass were a little more expensive than should be, but it was just to keep up with ambiance and food price point. Was like eating in a museum too with several Warhols. Drinks were named after art too. There were some very minor technical service deficiencies and service started a little slow, but not enough to negate overall great experience.Well done.
Exquisite ambiance and taste. We went during 2/2019 Restaurant Week and place has artsy swanky vibe w the andy Warhol paintings on the walls. Food was flavorful w appropriate portions. The service was stellar from the front desk to waiters. A very memorable experience. We had the baby squid and passera clementine for appetizer. The pollo and risotto for entree and the tiramisu for dessert. All were outstanding. The tiramisu was very memorable as well-- uniquely done
Good coffee and homelike atmosphere...
Amazing service and food. I especially loved the crudo
You might find a better restaurant but you wont pay more than at Casa Lever. It is a good, place to be seen, NY institution.Summers outside are great and the interior is a must see Mx it’s a great place and only your wallet will be disappointed at having gone.
Not only great wholesome food but outstanding customer service. We were served an incorrect starter but error was quickly recognised and the plate was served as a compliment. Nice touch that makes a difference.
Amazing Atmosphere with great service and food
I walk by this place all summer to my express bus and kept saying I would pop in for a drink with the girls one day. Let me be clear, this is for the outside seating that they set up for the warmer days of the year.So that day came and went, the drinks as I assumed were overpriced and I little watered down for my taste buds and I am somewhat of a lush so they would know.....lol (dont judge). So all I can say is I tried it.....I am good now.
Terrific! The interior of this place is beautiful from the entrance to the main dining room. You walk through a tunnel into an open room filled with walls lined with art. The food was amazing too. The olive oil with the starter bread has a nice spice to it and very flavorful. I had the fettuccine bolognese as the main and it was great but the pesto shells dish was out of this world good! Great dessert too. The tira misu was nice and creamy
Casa Lever is a great place to take out of town guests. A billion dollars worth of Warhols on the wall will impress just about anyone! The food is upscale Italian with prices to match. Everything tastes fantastic but on the salty side, so be sure to drink a lot of water through the meal, particularly if ordering wine as well. I particularly like the Carpaccio San Daniele appetizer. During the warmer months they set up an outdoor bar in the courtyard that become a happy hour hotspot for Wall Streeters, since BlackRock is right across the street.
The waiter forgot our wine pairings until we are almost done with entrée. Serving sizes are huge. Overall very good place.
I super loved the place, modern and sleek. Serves the best Italian food especially if youre craving some pasta! Happy and professional team! Thank you Casa Lever!
Located in the architectural landmark building, Lever House, the restaurant Casa Lever does not disappoint. Menu is divided into antipasti, pastas & secondi. There are prixe fixe, as well as a la carte options. I opted for a wonderful octopus antipasti. Was pleasantly surprised at the texture, cooked perfectly in a red sauce accompanied by mussels & sausage. As an entree I could not pass up the veal Milanese and glad I did not. It comes with a wonderful arugula Parmesan salad on the side and is crispy, thin, delicious. I tend to go for rosés and white and the selections by the glass are always pleasing. Not a inexpensive lunch, nevertheless, food, wines, & wonderful Warhols will make you glad you came..
Wonderful place to hang out with friends. I really liked the dover sole.
Expensive and trendy. Good good and good service but youll pay for it. Really nice design to this place. They have great little nooks for semi private dining and a private dining rim behind glass
Absolutely fantastic restaurant. Would highly recommend! One of my new favourite restaurants in NYC. The decor alone is absolutely stunning. A beautiful entrance, lovely dining room and unique bar. The atmosphere was equally fantastic. The menu provided a great range of vegetarian options and the standard of food was exceptional. Everything from the bread to the main courses. The service was above and beyond. I can’t wait to revisit Casa Lever!
I cant say enough great things about Casa Lever. Its perfect in every way, starting with Adil at reception. Extremely professional and welcoming. Food is delicious. Service impeccable.
I think this may be my favorite NYC restaurant. I cant complain about one thing, first class everything & perfect food & service plus art by Andy Warhol, how cool! love it!
Good Italian food, fresh ingredients and well executed. Not super creative but very good. Atmosphere was nice inside with solid service and tasteful decor
The only place where to have a real risotto! Great place and great food
This restaurant gets an A+
I was passing by and decided to stop by for a glass of wine and snack.I always wanted to visit the place. Was welcomed by a super friendly and knowledgeable bartender( sorry l don’t remember his name, it starts with letter S). Had a delicious salad accompanied by Etna Bianco. Suggested by mr.S amaro was so unique and exotic! Will be back soon! Well done Casa Lever!
Excellent atmosphere, delicious food and incredible service. This restaurant is one of my favorites.
Looks like great but not all the seats, chairs at some areas are so uncomfortable. Wow why I complain about the chairs?! cause if you want to enjoy a long time and spend money you wan to be comfortable.
My frequent go to restaurant for excellent delicious food, wine, and service, without being too stuffy. Great if alone, or with group.
One of our best young Italian chefs changing the face of cooking with a lovely bar and wait staff and superior food, from appetizers to entrees and dessert - that alsoIncluding the wine list
Place is beautiful ( Warhols on the wall ). Food is pretty too. Impressive for a date. Just hoped the food was awesome as I expected it to be.
Casa Lever is a high end Italian restaurant with a top notch menu, the starters and main dishes are absolutely stunning on flavor and presentation.Staff was very friendly and they even prepared a birthday dessert with candles for my wife. But the spotlight was on this beautiful cocktail inspired by the artist Keith Haring.
Carefully made food yet delicious, would definitely be back, impeccable service as well
Above average food, but way too expensive for what you get. Went there for lunch and came back thinking I could have gone to pretty much any other midtown lunch place and came out happier.
Good average food and good service but not worth the price.
Amazing decor. Nice menu. Very attentive staff. Good for a date or special occasion.
Very good food, but very loud in the evenings. Great scene at the bar if you are there for something other than the food.
A very upscale restaurant. Classic dining room. Great menu and wine list. Guaranteed to please
Wonderful culinary fare and attentive service. Very lively atmosphere. A must in NY!
Great for after work drinks. Amazing food. Staff it used to be more professional in the past
Made a reservation with a birthday event - nothing no happy birthday no dessert— when confirming the appointment they stated it was for a birthday event. Would have paid for extra no mention. Then our waiter didn’t show for 20 mins had another lady take our drinks. Ordered ate no waiter to be seen I flagged another waiter down for dessert and ordered. Would never go back. Food was ok but service definitely would have ordered more food and drinks if waiter came over.
This is a fancy place with an authentic big shot NYC vibe. Perhaps most pleasantly used for coffee at the bar in the afternoon.
Great Pizza visiting from Florida
Extremely attentive staff, alas the food wasnt quite as good as the service; the lobster gnocchi was good but not great.
Excellent food. Wonderful staff. Amazing environment.
Very good and fast service over business lunch. Very nice atmosphere and excellent food.
Top-notch food and service at this high-end dining establishment. A bit pushy with the wine list.
First class location to conduct business, grab high quality food & relax. The outdoor area & bar gets busy in season.
Love this place for drinks in the summer time, you can drink and dine outdoors and watch all the interesting people go by.
Outside Bar: Great meeting place. Sometimes live music. Tasty treats and cocktails.
Great place. Lovely decoration. Great food and the service was excellent.
Pretty restaurant with great vibe. The staff is friendly, love this place very much!
Tasty prix fixe lunch menu but slow service especially considering their midtown clientele.
An absolute delight 👍🏼
Great location for restaurant week surrounded by futuristic mod design and great artwork
Next for the main course I decided on the Risotto (acquerello carnaroli aged rice, artichoke purée, smoked eel)
Nice place with a great chef. you should ask for Iberico pork, delicious meat!
Went there for a thanksgiving day meal. big mistake: the food was boring and overpriced.
Lovely lunch on a Friday out on the patio! The Veal Tonnato is a fav!
I was fabulous food was phenomenal but the service was even better
Stunning interiors. A place for power breakfasts and lunches.
Loved the food, fantastic service, very professional...
Interesting menu, attentive servers and a very noisy venue
Great service - decent but overpriced food.
Very beautiful and elegantWaiters never leave you with questions
Food and service is top notch however the restaurant is a bit loud.
Great food and comfortable calm setting.
You dont come here for the food. You come to see and be seen. Architecturally beautiful.
Always love coming to this place, great food and ambience
Loved it ... great food and better service.
Good Italian restaurant with traditional recipes property done
Great for breakfast. Spacious. Boots for private conversations.
Delicious from start to end. And the service is unparalleled.
Great experience. Food was good as well.
Great location. Wonderful ambience. Excellent service and did. Choices are amazing even for vegetarians. A must visit for everyone
Amazing things are happening here !
Perfect for Restaurant Week. Cool space with interesting artwork.
Pastas are incredible. Drinks were under poured.. especially since I ordered 3 whiskeys neat. Thought I would get a little more. But overall the food, desserts, and atmosphere were great. Staff extremely friendly and helpful.
Nice place for a breakfast meeting. Little pricey
Spectacular food and service in a huge mid-century modern room. In addition, the bar is picture perfect !
Service was friendly and attentive. Food portions were large and the food quality was good. They also had a nice wine list. I had a carbonara pasta dish that was rich and filling and my co-workers had a variety of other plates and all of us were satisfied. Each entree also came with a soup or salad and it was a lot of food! This gorgeous restaurant was a wonderful experience. Hidden away on 53rd Street you are pleasantly surprised by the stunning decor and delicious food. Prices are high but the food is well worth it. Soups and yummy bread a good choice for a quick lunch.
I loved the use of flavors on my pasta dish with clams and mussels. I also had a very delicious order of spinach. I would definitely go back. I didnt finish my food but took it home with I never do at restaurants but this place had such great seasonings that I wanted to finish the whole thing.
Classic midtown restaurant. Decor is very cool
Magnificently stylish interior, very good food, peerless service. The dining room is very stylish with subtle retro accents, a few alcoves with a wood trim around the edge.Very good eggplant with parmiggiano cheese on top.Good choice of quality breads.Very attentive and helpful service.A good place for a meal with no fault.
Too cutting edge and pricey for just coffee.
The best in NY on so many levels.
Very unique and comfortable atmosphere. Great food.
Very good Milanese cuisine. Walked in last minute and was able to enjoy a wonderful meal at the bar. Was attended to immediately and throughout the meal. Bartender recommended a memorable wine to pair with my meal. Quite enjoyable!
Great place with a fantastic and intriguing decor with Warhol’s on the wall. Terrific wait staff and delicious food. Had the Sole with truffles and was fantastic. Pasta was spot on. The aged cheeses and salad also amazing. Prices are high but to be expected for this place. I’d give it 4.5 stars but rounded down because the bartender was not particularly friendly and a bit arrogant, which was out of the ordinary compared to the rest of the staff. Would come back for dinner but not for drinks at the bar.
Cool place for nice italian food. Noisy though, not the best for a quiet dinner.
You like Andy Warhol? You excellent Italian food? You are looking for a nice-stylish restaurant for a date or a business dinner? You find your place! But it goes with the price. It is expensive... but once in a while.
Very nice food. Its a tad pricey, but with that location you cant expect much different. We had the two daily specials and didnt regret it, though my risotto with scallops was really just scallops placed on top of a dish of risotto, almost like it was 2 separate things. Still, each was done quite well. We sat at the bar for lunch, and that was a good way to go - efficient and still comfortable. The table service seemed fine too, though. The bar area in summer is awesome - it gets really crowded but its a great location if youre in the area.
My company had the holiday party at Casa Lever. Its very nice place with extremely hospitable staff.
Good food and service, nice ambiance, generous wine by the glass offering!
Visited a few weeks ago with some friends as part of NYC Restaurant Week. Service was good. The food was excellent. Everyone liked the dished ordered and was satisfied with the portions. I highly recommend the Gianduia for desert. Delicious!
Great place for breakfast meeting in the area.
Amazing food, ambiance, service. Great for lunch or dinner. Eka was absolutely fantastic. He was patient with us and accommodated all of our restrictions.
This is a lovely and chic restaurant in the heart of midtown. The staff are excellent, service is attentive and the food is of very high quality. They do a fixed price lunch menu for about $50, but the wine list is pricey.
A drop dead beautiful restaurant with great food and staff.
Cacio and pepe was my favorite dish!
If your looking for amazing food & service this place is a treat. Loved every single thing about this place. You must experience it
We loved it, the ambiance is great. Lots of business people. You need a reservation for sure. The food is great and the service excellent.
From the moment you arrive, the stunning dining room emits a warm, calm energy that you may not expect with bustling Park Avenue just outside its doors. The restaurant is an architectural delight! From the curved, terminal-like entryway, to the countless Warhols resting flawlessly on the far wall, Casa Lever is the perfect place to begin a wonderful morning in the city.Service was attentive from start to finish. My latte was impeccable and the eggs were perfect. As someone who is quite serious about eating fresh, clean ingredients, I was very pleased. The room was filled with just enough buzz from other diners...mostly business-types popping in for breakfast meetings. I would advise anyone looking for a lovely meal (among some of the greatest pop art ever created) to visit Casa Lever. Looking forward to next time!
Great place to meet somebody for breakfast!
The interior design of this place is quirky, chic, and a lot of fun. Staff are super friendly. Cocktails include a lot of Italian classics (great that have appertifs like Campari shaken!) and wine by the bottle is very reasonably priced with great selection. Food is solid, and our favorite was the carpaccio, which was seasoned very well and came on a bed of porcini mushrooms with fantastic flavor.
Incredible space, and our bartender Cristina was fabulous - amore da Firenze!
Summer time there is an outdoor bar with live music for after work drinks that you will greatly enjoy!Inside is the more traditional quieter meal. Food is delicious.
Good service and nice outdoor lounge area
Very attentive service, very cool atmosphere, with trendy architecture, pricey pop-art, and a very tasty selection of Italian fare. Went on a Friday night, and was happily surprised, by the surprisingly affordable price fixe. Overall really enjoyable experience.
Worth every penny but not a bargain.Quality is remembered long after price is forgotten.
The food was ok but not spectacular for the price. Prices are up there with 4 star restaurants like Babbo and while the food is good here its not of that quality. Service is good but could do without having to consult notebooks. The real problem with the place is noise. It is very noisy. The decor is Warhol plus an odd 70s pop art style of woodwork. Nice enough but dated.
Get the Cutelèta alla Milanese. You wont regret. Do it.
Restaurant is beautiful inside, originals of Andy Warhol are stunning. Service is great and attentive, the food is delicious! I recommend their vitello tonnato starter. They also have a great wine list. Perfect place for a date night.
Excellent Italian food. Every detail was perfect for our birthday dinner. The bread was fantastic., casa lever salad amazing, our fish and pasta dishes were standouts Will definitely be back. Graat service and atmosphere.
Amazing decor and good food by NYC standards. The bar is also great as is the service.
Fantastic food and service as always. They are managing the socially distanced dining experience very well.
Good food but high priced and stuffy
The staff was very friendly even though it was a very busy weekend day. The food was also on point was left impressed and will be back.
Attentive and helpful service send out terrific pasta dishes such as a gnocchi with lobster and pasta bolognese. Wonderful desserts such as the giunada and cheesecake finish the terrific culinary experience. Would definitely go back especially for their dessert and wine selection.
Superb younger new chef has made Casa Lever rise to the top of modern Italian food in an incredible setting with servers that make this a “go to” place for dinner or lunch.
The food was great and the service was outstanding. The waiters and maitre d did everything they could to ensure a great experience
Noisy, overpriced, crowded, no beer. Sad.
I’ll give it a five star but I’ve never eaten here maybe it popped up because I was working in the area
Top choice for midtown breakfast, lunch and dinner. Refined, retro-modern design, great service, and excellent food.
Nice Italian food. Great art collection (Warhol)!
Wonderful experience
Location ,food ,service are great.nice decorate,
Great food, service and atmosphere.
Another faceless midtown bar. Good cocktails, but too sweet, too simple and too overpriced. Mostly a cool place for the well heeled after work crowd.
Great atmosphere for summer cocktails
Incredible food and service! Oh the bread!
Almost all their meals are prepared with alcohol and they couldnt make any accommodations to my requests. But the few things I ended up getting were good.
Exceptional service outstanding food.
One of the best restaurants in the city. Great for lunch.
Amazing pastas! And exceptional desserts.
Immediately when we sat down we felt unwelcome. The waiters always took a very long time to get back to us and have very little when we asked questions. Every time we were helped, a different waiter would come. The tables around us were all served with much better service. While being professionally dressed and with our manners, I feel our young age may have had something to do with this.On the other hand the food was was pretty good. The carpaccio and pasta entrees were well put together and the tiramisu was fantastic. Sadly that dosent make it worth it to come back.
Best Italian restaurant in NYC.
Best place to have business breakfast meeting with client in Midtown
Service and food make of this place a wonderful culinary experience.
Good food, priced for expense accounts and business lunches.
Friendly staff great environment for the family
Fine Italian dinning in the heart of Manhattan... very peculiar and responsive personnel...
Im not quite seeing the wonders reported in the other reviews. Its outdoors, very loud with very loud pop music playing. The quite expensive wine is simply not good, in my case the Les Toussaints burgundy. Service is kind of slow. Its ok for a drink if you like that sort of thing but there is much better food and ambience within a couple of blocks if thats what you are looking for.
Super impressed. First rate food and service.
Restaurant food is okay, but outdoor bar is great when its warm
Excellent food and atmosphere. Not inexpensive.
Great atmosphere, drink quality isnt as good compared to other bars in the area.
Authentic Italiano with phenomenal service the second you step in.
Great atmosphere. Risotto was just ok.
Casa Lever was an amazing experience. Delicious food. Beautiful decor. Exemplary service.I had the puttanesca, carapaccio, and gelato. The puttanesca had a yummy fishy flavor and nice song from the capers. The carapaccio was soft and rich. The gelato was uber creamy and so flavorful. The waitstaff was beyond helpful. They helped explain the restaurant and pop art on the wall. They cleared the table with the utmost professionalism and they even humored my mother when she changed her order. My sister says that the portions and flavor of the food was great. My dad loved the price points and the specials. My mother loved her wine so much she savored every single drop.I wish I could eat here every day for the rest of my life. If you go here and dont have a great experience, Id have to rethink pretty much my whole understanding of reality.
