I sat down to a peaceful, delicious, mid-afternoon meal on Sunday, and everything was lovely...food, service (Edwin, our server, was just the right blend of efficient and discreet). I thought I couldnt be happier. But about an hour into the meal, I discovered I could: I dont know if its every Sunday, but a live, small ensemble program of music began around five. I was sorry my holiday crazy schedule wouldnt let me stay, but the quality of the food and service, plus the added dimension of the tastefully gentle live music--not to mention the reaonable prices--will have me returning undoubtedly. The charm of middle Europe, without the airfare!

Neighborhood bistro overlooking a small square with good al fresco ambiance, (so long as the square not being occupied by noisy groups). The location was perfect for cook afternoon and evening, as the sun sets behind the building.The wait staff were wonderful on the two occasions we dined.Pros: outdoor dining when timing is right. The sides of mushroom and spinach were excellent. The seared tuna was great.Cons: only one draft beer choice. The Prime Ribeye may not be the USDA Prime grade, but was ok for the price.They also have a back patio that could also have a nice ambiance at night when the lights come up, bit havent been.

I opted for something light so I had the Salmon and a glass of Pinot Grigio. The wine was very nice, the salmon and vegetables grilled just right. The curbside seated worked out well because of the nice evening weather but they have a rear patio too see the photos. The service was excellent. And there are a few public benches near by if you want to sit and relax after dinner.

Had a nice evening during happy hour in this little gem. We got the cheese & meat board and bottle of red. We watch the people pass by while enjoying the place and the food. The bread is amazing! It’s fluffy and went well with the light buttery cheese. It’s awesome that my bf place is just around the corner. Can’t wait to sit by the little park and enjoy the sun while having a rose when it gets warmer.

Lovely place with great food, simple Italian menu with a hint of Spain, simple wine menu as well but you will find some wine to pair with your dishes.I tried few dishes and I loved them, Ive been following shef German from his other restaurants and he has been consistent with the quality of his food.I tried the prosciutto with tomato and mozzarella and it was nice and fresh, tried the lamb and it was beautifully cooked with even temperature on both pieces, which is a sign of a skilled chef.Service might take some time, usually for me that knocks down the rating to 4 stars but I understand that things are not the same since the pandemic, other than that a nice restaurant with great atmosphere.Make sure to check the back area, its quite and relaxing if you want to enjoy a conversation

L’artista deserves 5 starts!!!The backyard is just magic, all those lights and set up make it more special.Food was very good, i also appreciated the service a lot!Pizza was crunchy, pasta al dente!!!I will be back for sure.

Wonderful brunch menu. Had the Frittata & Riesling wine. Very friendly service. Chef German prepared the food. YUM, Yum, YUM.Good variety of wines, beer & liquors. LIVE JAZZ MUSIC later on!! Come on up to Hamilton Heights. This is well worth the trip!! I highly recommend.I just stopped in to have dinner. This cozy restaurant is still great!

I think everyone in the neighborhood should visit L Argot. The place is perfect for a night out, chatting with friends, dating, etc. I love their food especially their burgers. The drinks are a whole different level, I never had a bloody marry like the one they serve. The atmosphere is positive and the bartender is super cool. Not a loud music, perfect to had a conversation with someone else. The place is clean and organized, I visited the place 4 times already I will highly recommend it

We had a *very* special meal at L’artista. First time there. Delightful, caring service. Atmospheric, compact interior. Absolutely delicious food. It’s Restaurant Week so the three of us ordered our 3-course options from the limited, $45 fixed price menu. Also, we all had mixed drinks as it was happy hour. Good deal. We shared each main dish…Eggplant with burrata, pan seared branzino, and a Bolonese pasta. All were outstanding. The killer appetizer was thin sliced Wagyu beef with smoked greens. Bread pudding dessert was yummy. Wish we lived in the City, as this place is clearly one to which we’d return, repeatedly. Highly recommended.

Everytime i come here, its always a magical intimate moment. the server is always attentive to my order and has the most amazing picks when jt comes to the menu. their dishes, especially the pollo will leave you begging for more and has made me a repeat customer when i lived in new york city.

Great food and ambience. I didn’t enjoy my meal but I feel like it wasn’t a match for me (fried rice ball). Next time I’ll try something else. My partner had amazing seafood pasta dish that we both enjoyed. Made in-house and tasty. Service was great. Would come back

Went for dinner on a Sunday, no wait and plenty of seating. Very small, perfect for a date night. Small menu but still variety. Everything was delicious. Pastas was fresh and cooked just right. Would go again. Highly recommend.

I’m not one to write a review, especially a bad one. But this was one of the worst dining experiences ever. The cocktails were terrible, our appetizer came out still frozen in the center, the service was unbelievably slow. We saw bread on all the other tables but had to ask 3 times to get some- after being there almost 2 hours. We were given a salad on the house which was nice, but nothing was comped from our bill and the prices are super high for the neighborhood. If you’re looking for good Italian food , go to Bono . Don’t waste your time or money here

This restaurant is phenomenal!!! SO glad it opened in our neighborhood- great atmosphere and place to be. Would most certainly recommend. Owner is lovely, food is excellent and the passion fruit drinks are spectacular! Best burger in town!

My husband and I have been to LArtista on a number of occasions and it never disappoints. The food and wine menus are very thoughtful and always a delight. The atmosphere is fantastic (inside has a cosy Harlem Bohemian vibe and the outside area is a gem as its tucked away from traffic on a square where theres often live music playing). More than anything, the service is outstanding. Weve always been very well looked after by Giovanni, Ronaldo and on our last visit also the lovely young lady whos just joined the team. Really recommend this place if you want an elegant but relaxed date night (the brunch is also fab).

I stopped by for a quick drink with two companions and ended up enjoying a couple Italian Marguerites, several appetizers, and a great time last night!The restaurant is lovely...well designed, comfortable, and welcoming. The Server (Rolando?) was great.Inside and outside seating with an intimate outside nook in back of the restaurant.

Really good food and drinks however we went for happy hour but they didn’t have a happy hour menu in person and after we asked the waiter said to check online but also there want one there. The guy serving us was very nice but he was the server/busser/hostess he was the only person there taking care of 7 tables so we got our glass of wine 30 minutes after ordering, felt bad for him! Hire more people!

Rolando was just perfect. Funny, attentive and kind. Nonetheless the food was just perfect, as Italian I wouldn’t have changed anything. We started with Tagliere Campagnolo, exceptional rosemary taralli, sliced cured meats and olives.After that we had tagliata di tonno (such a tender and exquisite piece), gnocchi al Gorgonzola and polletto. All of us were super happy and full!And the final homemade limoncello was just the cherry on top!

What a wonderful walking distance to City College.We celebrated our sons graduation and was so pleased with the service, the ambience and food. Great choice of wines, beers and cocktails along with delicious flat breads and a flavorful meal I had was octopus with polenta. The restaurant treated us to Limoncello shots and dessert to celebrate and the staff was so friendly and attentive. We enjoyed watching people in the square play dominos and see the sunset on the surrounding buildings. A great find.

We had a family dinner on Saturday, 4/20. Kate was our waitress and she was absolutely AMAZING. We had the artichokes and the carpaccio for appetizers. For dinner, the table had the beef short rib, salmon, tuna, and spaghetti. Absolutely exceptional. The entire experience was to notch and it’s highly recommended.

I visited this restaurant last night and could not believe how good the food is in this place. Every dish was absolutely delicious including desserts. A gem! Can’t wait to go back for more.

We enjoyed a family brunch following the engagement of out daughter. We sat outside on the lovely patio. This is a very small but beautiful restaurant. The food was absolutely fantastic, the service was personal and friendly, and the cocktails were perfect. Be aware that it takes time to eat a meal here-so don’t be in a hurry. We will definitely be back.

What an amazing discovery! Took our daughter here for an after graduation dinner and everything we ordered was exquisite. Spent our dinners passing plates around so that all could enjoy the amalgam of flavors as we sat out back. Even the thunderstorm that ripped through couldn’t dampen our meal as the umbrella that was moved over and the surrounding overhangs managed to keep us dry. FYI, the signature drinks were also perfect, including the 0% Negroni. Extra acknowledgements to our server, who kept everything straight as we kept changing our minds, and introduced us to J’Nai Bridges and Willie Alexander, who just happened to be sharing the patio with us at the next table. So on top of everything else, new music in the queue! All of it is just a long block over and short block down from the 145th St 1, facing Johnny Hartman Plaza.

My Husband and have lived in this neighborhood literally 500 ft away, and for the first time in 8 years we tried a local restaurant and was blown way. The Food 5🌟, the Ambiance 5🌟, The Staff 5🌟. Overall the The Best Instant Date Night Ever👍🏾👍🏾

The restaurant staff are super friendly and provide an excellent service. The restaurant is small but very cozy. They also offer live music on Sunday. Love their thin-crust pizza. Absolutely delicious. If you happen to visit Hamilton Height, dont miss a chance to visit LArtista. Highly recommended.

This must have been an off day, but there was one person running the entire bar and waiting tables. Every time he checked in on us, it would be 20-30 minutes before he came back. The food took around 1.5 hrs to be cooked, and my limone pasta was barely edible. I’ve never sent back a dish in my life and this one was so bad that I had to😭 the cook agreed, and they were very kind about it, but I almost wonder if they had a substitute cook or something because the experience did not match the reviews. Definitely a bit of a waste of money 😬

This has become our go-to spot in our neighborhood. Incredible but affordable food, the friendliest service, and a backyard patio with the most romantic, cozy atmosphere! Weve been back several times after having brunch here and every experience has been fantastic! Brunch is has some amazing options (even for vegetarians like us) and dinner has great appetizers, salads, and fabulous pastas. So grateful for a place like this nearby with great, spaced out outdoor dining to make us feel safe during the pandemic while still enjoying a night out!

I booked L’Artista for a private event last night and I could not be more thrilled with my experience! It was my first time planning an event at a restaurant, and from the very beginning of the process, manager Guillermo was so impressive and attentive. He helped me so much with choosing the menu and made sure that I was happy and relaxed during the event itself. He was so detail oriented that I knew I could trust him and the staff to handle a large group with confidence and ease. I never thought planning an event like this could be so low stress!Our bartender for the evening, Mike, was so friendly and kind that many of my guests were telling me how much they liked him. He was behind the bar by himself, so the fact that he could handle that many people and still be so nice and calm was very impressive.And I haven’t even gotten to the food. The food here is absolutely incredible, with special attention to fresh ingredients. And if you’re looking for a great (and I mean GREAT) charcuterie board in Hamilton Heights, look no further.We love L’Artista and will definitely be back!

Last weekend I hosted my sister’s bridal shower at L’Artista and it was simply wonderful. I’ve been working with the owner German, trying to plan it for several months. They have a beautiful backyard patio, but due to structural issues we could not host it there like originally planned. I had an idea to host it in the public square in front of the restaurant. German, Guillermo, and the other staff were more than accommodating to make my vision come to life. The food was delicious, drinks were strong, and staff friendly. I personally prefer to support smaller, local restaurants and they surely provided amazing services. Thank you so much for everything!

Food was good, but service was HORRENDOUS! I dine in at L’Artista Saturday 3/5/22 with my husband and another couple. When we got to the restaurant we waited by the door waiting for the waiter for sit us, few minutes after waiting he marched straight to us but only to completely disregard us and head to a delivery person who was waiting outside and we should have taken that as an omen. He walked passed us again, then came back(all this time he never acknowledged/greeted us nothing), we greeted him and informed him we had reservations, he showed us a table and told us there was another seating area in the back, we decided we wanted to sit in the back. He then left us standing, while he went to take the order of one of his tables. We patiently waited, once he was done he sat us. The entire time this waiter ignored us, and when he did spoke to us it was quite dismissive, and rude and wasn’t shy to show it in his gestures as well. We ate and order desert. He cleared the table but left a few drops of food on the table and a bunch of paper napkins. We decided to just wait and hope that he would eventually cleaned it up and we were wronged. We had to ask him to cleared it up in order for him to do so, and of course he was sure to show us how he felt. Also they have a twinning tea on the desert menu label as an organic tea which it isn’t there is no USDA stamp on that. We ate our dessert and then asked for our check. The waiter brought our check with a completely different humour If I didn’t know any better I’d say they switch him up. He brought our check and apologize for his behavior blaming it on the fact that he was the only server for the entire restaurant. So he did knew his comport was unacceptable and now that it’s time for tip he wanted to apologize for his behavior. We still went ahead and tip him fairly and never said anything about his behavior and there was no need for us to say anything because he himself knew the way he was acting was wrong. I worked as a waitress throughout my entire undergrad, and if I had acted a tab of how this waiter acted I would have gotten fired in a heart bit. Like we were afraid to even to call him to ask for anything because of his entire demeanor. To whom it may concern please check your waiter, because this is unacceptable!!!

Amazing experience!! We were alone in the restaurant on a cold Monday night. We order the special, and it was out of stock. But the owner and the chef proposed us something not on the menu. Barramundi with mash potatoes and butter blanc sauce, and home made fresh parpadelle with mushroom and truffle sauce. It was by far, the best meal of our trip!!The owner was really kind, friendly with good proposition and good recommendation and very professional.This experience was outstanding!!Thanxx again!!

The menu Moises and the staff worked on gives people a bit of everything. The cocktails are unique! Very detailed and Moises really enforces the importance of presentation! Makes everyone feel welcomed! Works with people to satisfy them and make sure their experience is a positive one. Worth going in to eat or drink. If Moises isn’t there your experience is still a great off due to the genuineness of the staff!Edit: new ownership, they should delete all the old yelp and google reviews since 98% of these reviews are from L’Argot and not L’ARTISTA.

Very good service. Not good food. We ordered the crispy artichoke appetizer which was doughy. The short rib over spinach was cooked beautifully but was overwhelmed by the clove seasoning. The prime rib eye was just awful. We ordered it medium rare and received it medium well in some parts, well done in others. It was terribly greasy and had a huge ribbon of gristle, not beautiful flavorful marbling, gristle. Potatoes were dry and had no seasoning on them. Overall a poor experience. I wanted so much to like this place as I live nearby and would love a favorite go-to, but, it is not meant to be here. So so disappointed. We will not be returning.

I love this restaurant so much! Can not rave about it enough! The atmosphere is inviting and beautiful, and the staff are so great. My fiancé and I sat at the bar right next to the open kitchen and had wonderful conversations with the chef who was very accommodating to my dietary restrictions. Love that the head chef is a woman, and she even gave us a complimentary dessert, flourless chocolate cake which I can not recommend enough!!!! We will be going back here as soon as possible and hope you do too!

The service was some of the best Ive had in New York. The addition of the back patio is brilliant. I almost dont want to write the review because I want to keep all this to myself. The food was excellent and the servers knowledge of wines and pairings was outstanding.

I don’t even know where to begin.-clearly understaffed-waited over 30 minutes for 2nd round of drinks-waited over an hour just to get a water refill-patrons were going up to bar to practically self serve: returning wrong orders, asking for drinks, water, complaining about lack of service-while waiting for entrees, was asked if we wanted dessert and had to remind waiter what we ordered-received entrees to-go for some reason?-received the wrong bill, was charged a completely different amountI honestly wish I could remove this experience from my memory and get my money back. I was so excited to try this place with my boyfriend and it was a complete disaster. Probably the worst restaurant experience I’ve actually ever had.

I really like this place, and since I live in the neighborhood, I want to support their business. However, yesterday, my husband and I went to this restaurant, and the staff wasn’t wearing masks! I felt so uncomfortable that it actually ruin my night! They know they should be wearing them all the time, right? I should have said something, but I didn’t. I think I afraid, maybe felt embarrassed, or I felt bad because I thought perhaps I was overreacting. But after talking to my husband and walking around the neighborhood last night, checking on how other bars and restaurants are handling this “new normal,” I realized I wasn’t wrong. It is absolutely irresponsible and rude that this place is not following the protocols. So please, if the manager reads this review, ask your staff to comply with the rules and wear their mask! I dont think I’ll be coming back until I see they are wearing the mask!

Absolutely fantastic! Best food and service Ive had in a long time. Just great. We got a meat board (Spain v Italy) which was great. We also got the rib and mussels. Also fantastic! It is so fresh. We could literally watch the chef cooking our food. This is a place that makes all of it fresh and immediately. For example, we saw the chef make our mashed potatoes right in front of us. Fresh potatoes, boiled, and all the good stuff. I could not recommend more.

The atmosphere is great we sat outside and they’re dog friendly. They have free bread and a spicy olive oil which is great. Our server was very kind also. However the food was mediocre. We go the braised duck and noodles, which tasted like plain chick. Also got the grilled shrimp calamari which was a small portion and did not taste grilled. The food quality did not match the price. Would like to go back if the food gets better.

L’Artista is a true gem! We’ve been regulars for 3 years and have loved it every time.Don’t be fooled by its small physical footprint - this restaurant packs a punch. Everything from its starters (try the Arancino), to the mains (all the pasta dishes!), to the deserts (lava cake is a personal favorite) is delicious.The restaurant also has an impressive wine and cocktail menu - ask for recommendations from the knowledgeable staff.One note of caution: Since L’Artista only has limited seating, make sure to reserve ahead of time if you want a spot on a special day, like Valentine’s. Once you do, nothing will stand in your way towards a delicious evening!

This was our second time at LArgot. The first time it was on a weekend for a brunch and it was delicious. This time it was for dinner, also delicious. For a starter, we had a guacamole with plantain chips (instead of tortilla chips), excellent combination. The service was excellent, the atmosphere warm and welcoming. Good news! They were getting the back courtyard ready with tables and flower pots so soon it will be open! They also have live jazz certain days.

Such a lovely sweet new addition to the ever expanding Hamilton Heights restaurant scene. The food, service and wine were all on point. This place has one of those great cozy vibes - not too large yet big enough to have a buzz, meet some neighbors and enjoy quality food. Finally can get some tasty grilled octopus in the hood :). I cant wait to return.

My husband and I recently moved to the area and noticed this charming-looking restaurant on the square. After some time we finally went last night on a whim. It was every bit as inviting inside as it appeared when we passed it by. The atmosphere is not the only selling point. There is a good wine list that is reasonably priced and the food was delicious too. The pasta was a stand out. Our waitress was very kind and welcoming as well. It’s a great a neighborhood restaurant that I will definitely visit again.

I had salmon, brussel sprouts and mashed potatoes. Great food and nice, peaceful atmosphere. I would definitely recommend this place.

My friend and I got done with class at City College and were going to go to an Italian place near campus, but they had a 45 minute wait. We discovered this a few blocks away and decided to check it out and I am so glad we did. This place is a hole in the wall with some of the best handmade food I’ve ever had. I got the gnocchi and it was prepared as an individual portion made to order and it was the best gnocchi I’ve had in a very long time. They were pillowy and soft and the sauce they were served in was insanely good. The service was wonderful and the atmosphere was perfect for a catch up sesh with my best friend. I will be coming back here and telling my friends about it because — wow! Truly so delicious. We also split the passion fruit pannacotta for dessert and it was made with fresh passion fruit on top. If you’re looking for good food, this is your spot.

The restaurant is such a small gem in the neighborhood. The food is amazing northern Italian fare and the wine is always a great selection. The servers are also always very kind and knowledgeable. I love this spot for a date night :) … highly recommend the arancini!

Giovani was great, brought us the BEST mushrooms. Truffle fries, meat and cheese board, and an amazing wild mushroom dish were all fabulous . . . One of the best meals we’ve had in a long time. It’s now a favorite in our google maps. We’ll be back.

Adorable neighborhood Italian eatery. Small but mighty!

Ordered the fennel salad ($17) and asked for grilled salmon to be added. They charged me an additional $16 for the one slice of fish. The salad was $33 in total. To make matters worse, I didnt even finish the salmon as it was overly-fishy and not well-prepared. Prices were too high & they didnt have my first, 2nd or 3rd choice. Waiter was amazing, however. Yet I wont return.

Had an absolutely lovely dinner. The food was amazing. Arvin took amazing care of us while still juggling his other tables as the only server/bartender. He was very timely and a pleasure to have, always making sure we had what we needed and updated us when necessary. Truly a great dining experience.

Theyre new, so I hope they keep up the ambiance, but the best part has to be whats on the drinks menu. This place is different, and each drink has its own little backstory of creation. The bartender makes the drinks with care, so youre not just having a drink, but having one of his pieces of art. Workers are attentive and friendly. Coming here to relax after a long day is ideal. Such a nice place

The cocktails and ambience are the best, I recommend the back area. Food is pretty good being this is my second visit, however wait staff needs a lot of coaching and there were several things missing that a traditional Italian restaurant usually does or offers. Such as bread with option of oil and vinegar or side sauces for unique dishes

Our neighbors recommended LArtista and were so glad they did. We ate on the back patio which is lovely. The vegetarian sliders are the bomb!! I had the lemon ravioli which was delicious; hubby had the octopus. Thrilled they are in the neighborhood and definitely recommend!

Ate here over the summer. I still think about my meal here! The servers were personable and helpful, the food and drinks were delicious, and the desert was light and sweet. Totally recommend!

EDIT JUNE 2023: Unfortunately I need to update my review for this restaurant from 5 stars to 3 stars. I dined here this evening (after visiting numerous times since my original visit). I still love that it’s such a great addition to the neighborhood, however tonight fell short. The pizzas changed (they now call them flatbreads instead of pizzas), and I’m almost positive the funghi pizza was a frozen pizza that they added mushrooms to. And if it wasn’t frozen; the point is that it tasted like one - processed cheese, tomato sauce out of a can with no transformation, pre made crust, etc. The spaghetti carbonara was good, although the sauce seemed like it was just chicken stock thickened with some sort of starch. The seared tuna was the best dish of the night, but it could’ve been a bit rarer with more of a sear. I hope the owners actually review this feedback, because it’d be a shame to see this place continue to go downhill.ORIGINAL MARCH 2022: If I had more room in my stomach, I probably would’ve ordered the entire menu. This place is seriously a hidden gem in a neighborhood with not a lot of restaurants of this kind. I ordered the salsiccia pizza and the tagliatelle ai funghi - both were made fresh and tasted spectacular. The restaurant has an exposed kitchen, so you can be sure they aren’t trying to hide anything when it comes to food preparation. Looking forward to coming back and trying more dishes.

We celebrated my son’s First Communion lunch at L’Artista the first weekend of May. Everything was perfect. German’s attention to detail was outstanding. Our family had the best reunion in their outdoor garden. It far exceeded my expectations. It was such a memorable experience. Looking forward to supporting this restaurant even more. It has a lot of soul, passion and a lot of heart behind it. We felt at home.

My wife and I ordered a pizza funghi - the sauce was good but crust was stale and hard. My wife ordered the tartare di tonno which was very good. I however ordered the Cacio e Pepe which was extremely watery and the pasta was a bit clumpy. No semblance to a true Cacio e Pepe that should not soak in a nondescript liquid but be a delicate veloute of pasta, starch, pepper, and cheese. We both had the Gavi white wine which was correct.Overall, the food is hit and miss and the chef needs more training.

Amazing food and drinks. Love the fact they make the food right by the bar. The octopus was fresh and tasty. The bartender made amazing whiskey theme cocktails. Will revisit.

Lartista is a welcoming and cozy yet sophisticated place. I had such a great time in the backyard seating area eating delicious food and sipping wonderful wine al fresco! They have free concerts on Sundays and the sidewalk seating is lovely, all within a new pedestrian zone! (No noisy trucks right in front of your table all the time) The menu is inventive yet firmly rooted in the northern Italian tradition and changes on a regular basis depending on the season, which I appreciate. Great place for cocktails as well. Highly recommended!!

Weve been to LArgot twice now, and had several items from the menu. The food has all been excellent, the service super friendly, with a nice overall vibe. This is a wonderful spot, all around!

Pleasant bar/bistro vibe. Spotted this place as I walked home, stepped in to check out the menu and decided to stay. Met a wonderful bartender who made the most exotic cocktail with mezcal. Very surprised at the refinement of the menu.Had dinner and started with their grilled octopus. My mouth watered as they took it off the grill. Once I took a bite I was sold. Succulent and chard in all the right places. Continued with their 10oz burger and ate it rare. It was amazing.Whole experience made me smile. Glad to see Sugar Hills developed a smooth and charming dining scene. If you are looking for a new spot that delivers L’Argot is the place.Have gone back several times since and experience the same hospitality. Their wait staff and bartenders are knowledgeable and serve with tendered kindness.

The service is very attentive and their cocktails are on point. The pasta was cooked perfectly and the Bolognese was exquisite. The only drawback is the pizza dough, it is not Neapolitan or New York. It is more of a greek dough.

Very cute and cozy place! I especially like the outdoor area in the back! Our waitress was super kind and warm. I ordered the churrasco and mashed potatoes for dinner, and she informed me that there is cheese in the potatoes. No problem! The food arrived and there was bleu cheese in the potatoes! I was expecting anything but that. Interesting flavor that I hated but didnt say anything since I was told cheese, just not specifically bleu cheese. The steak was a lunch portion at dinner, but decent in flavor!

What a beautiful find on a rainy, cold December night! The moment my friend entered the lovely, intimate, warm LArtista. there were amazing aromas (,the short ribs with rosemary). The owner, Frederico, was so friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and wine offerings, and the history of that slice of Hamilton Ave. The mushroom lasagne was delicious, the nutella tiramisu something Ill be craving my next return. The prices were do reasonable for such quality too! Will definitely return, esp. As live music starts in January.

I am a young Frenchman visiting New York and what was my surprise to find this peaceful little corner where the friendliness of the staff, the excellent food and the real research around the drinks menu will make you have a great time pleasant I highly recommend this establishment, go there with your eyes closed, you will not be disappointed!

The place is small but cozy, the drinks are good, the service is excellent, the food is very good, only a small fault with the pasta I ordered, it was not al dente. I will return once again. 😊
