Interesting spot. This vegan restaurant is good tasting and the employees are extremely helpful and will explain any questions you have. The spicy chili bowl was DELICIOUS, would highly recommend it. The lemonade was good. Veggie balls were a good addition also. The hot sauce on the tables was a great add for extra flavor. The crackers for mezze spread were flavorless and gross.Prices were reasonable and not expensive. The restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating and water is available on all the tables. There were flies all over which was annoying but overall i like the concept of this fast casual restaurant and a healthier alternative to non-vegan places
This is by far our favorite Le Botaniste location in the city. We come only in the evenings, and the manager is super nice and it projects on employees and the atmosphere. The food here just seems even better than in other locations:)
I have been a fan of this place for quite a while, and I really appreciate that it is the only spot in the neighborhood to offer tasty whole food that is plant based and generally unprocessed. I also like the decor and the casual counter service, but today when I went I was disappointed that they did not have salad, which both I and my companion wanted as a side dish. They were just all out, at lunchtime. But such things happen, and what really troubled me today was having to listen to radio commercials. The music was a little louder than it needed to be, but it was tolerable. However, the fact that I had to listen to loud radio commercials while I was trying to enjoy my meal gave me the impression that the staff did not think through the dining experience there. That detracted so much from the atmosphere that I don’t know if I will eat there again because I don’t go to places that play commercials (though takeout would be fine). I guess I feel very strongly that I shouldn’t have to listen to radio commercials at a high volume in a restaurant. Places that care about the sonic environment will curate a playlist and spare their patrons having to hear commercials. Le Botaniste has this option, too. And the UES location did not play commercials when I was there. Update: management responded to my email and said that playing radio commercials is unusual and they will rectify this.
Healthy quinoa and brown rice bowls with home made flavors and healthy options. I enjoyed my dinner and the atmosphere. I got the Spicy Chili Sin Carne and my friend got the Saag Bota.
The four of us ordered various dishes, and we were very pleased with all of them. We also ordered a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc wine. The bottle was off. George, the manager, noticed that we were looking at the wine and came over, without being asked, and asked us of the strength thing he could do to fix our issue. He immediately offered to replace it with a different bottle of wine. Great customer service!
Absolutely love this place. Delicious food. Great design. All plant based. Please let’s have these all over the world 😃
The only reason I gave 5 stars, as there was no 6. Delicious and warm end to a freezing day in Central park. The Spicy Chili Sin Carne was sensational, as was the Moroccan vegetable soup, the mix bowl, and the pasta bolo. 100% organic and plant based. Very friendly and helpful staff... Definitely worth the visit ... We wish this was available in Sydney Australia. Thank you.
Excellent food. Nice vibe with many choices. Fresh quality dishes and tasty. Good safe outdoor seating option. Butternut squash soup was very good. Veggie sushi roll with the zesty ginger dressing was nice. Brownie though more like a cake was a nice ending to the meal.
Food was so good and flavorful and the staff so nice ! Loved it omg
Its definitely a fast casual spot, think like an upscale Chipotle situation. You order at the counter and can customize a bowl if you like, walking down the counter with the person scooping things into your bowl. Its all vegetarian and all very delicious. They have wine which I appreciate. Several tables and chairs to dine in, but also have takeaway containers.
One this place is a gem. I wish they would franchise. It’s a fast casual experience with a nice atmosphere, ready made food. But with an attention to what would taste well as part of the season with considerations for dishes that improve with slow cooking and constant heat (staying ready to serve). Nothing but good things to say about this place.
The service is awesome and they helped me decide with a few samples what to order. The ratatouille is spot on with the pasta and peas. It was flavorful and filled me up. The veggies were fresh and it’s a great spot for a meal. For the entree and salad and tip I spent about $30. Dinner for a 240lb man and I was satisfied. Will be back.
I’m not a vegan but i can appreciate a good vegan meal. most places that offer vegan options don’t put much time/effort into making them taste good but when you find a vegan restaurant that prides themselves in carefully crafting vegan foods, you will find it enjoyable, even if you aren’t vegan. that said i ordered the tibetan mama (bowl that comes with brown rice, coconut peanut butter curry sauce, steamed greens, kimchi). i must say that the combination of foods (such as kimchi and a creamy curry) did not sound appealing to me at first but everything worked together in a delightfully balanced way. the curry is similar in taste to a thai massaman curry (strong coconut+peanut flavor—minus the spice). the kimchi kept the creaminess from being too overbearing and balanced the richness with a spicy tartness that keeps you from feeling bloated. their other dishes also looked amazing so i’ll definitely be back again!
So good! The employees are super nice and are eager to walk you through the menu and offerings. I got the Tibetan mama and added tofu. The coconut ceviche looked so good that I caved and ordered it. Thankfully, an employee told me I could get a side for $2.50 instead of the full appetizer for $8.95- perfect! This is an excellent spot for a plant based meal. It’s so hearty and full of flavor. I’m a meat eater but appreciate a good plant based eatery that I can add to my rotation :) I’m eager to see how their offerings expand as they hopefully expand to more locations stateside.
We are not vegan by any means but the restaurant smelled good and looked inviting so we decided to try. The curry bowl was tasty. The coffee on the other hand did not taste good.
Many interesting options at this lovely healthy and plant-based vegan spot. My husband and I each had a hearty and flavorful vegetable tajine, a take on a Moroccan dish. A veggie stew served with quinoa, topped with added shredded carrots, pea shoots and lemon harissa. I would have liked a bit more variety in the vegetables - add zucchini perhaps. We also had a well-flavored seasonal green gazpacho.Luke guided us through the somewhat confusing menu - patient and kind. Thanks Luke- sorry if Im embarrassing you.
The vegetable tajine was flavorful, fresh, and savory.I was impressed by the quality and attention to detail of this place - I truly felt great after eating the meal. TAlso can tell that they have a great team who clearly cares about the end product and mission.
All plant based products. Well crafted and seasoned meals. Preparers were very helpful in guiding us through the selections.
Beautiful Cafe vibe, wonderful service and great food. As a vegan from the relative vegan desert of Boston, La Botaniste was my first stop in NYC and Ill be happy to come back.
I ordered the Tibetan Mama with their lemonade. So damn good. Friendly staff, beautiful location with plenty of seating, a few tables outside as well. Prices are decent for the area.
Good food , I love is not just soya!!!!The veggie soup was really comforting.
Nice nice nice! Good for vegans
When I need an healthy, earthy meal I go to LA Botaniste. The food is organic and flavorful, with enough spicy dishes to make me happy. I particularly like their Chilli, kimmchi, and hot sauce; and cant resist their key lime pie.The atmosphere is casual and great for parties of two, as well as, for groups of friends, and families. You can enjoy their indoor or outdoor space, and soon youll enjoy their drinks too.Bon appetite ❣
Great clean food. Great customer service and great prices.
Delicious. I loved the decor and ambiance. All the staff were super nice and the food exceeded my expectations. Extra sauce was $2.50 extra which is more than Chipotle and thats a little unfortunate.
Delicious delicious delicious!!! Love their food and love their conscious eating mission. I am not vegetarian but I missed absolutely nothing from this meal. Can’t wait to come back and try some more dishes!
I typically dont review chains, but we had fantastic customer service at this Le Botaniste location, so I wanted to share the appreciation! The space has a nice, modern feel, and there is a decent amount of seating. There is a water bottle on each table for customers who are dining in.Le Botaniste has your typical plant-based menu with the higher prices associated with other health food chains in the city. Kimari recommended the seasonal Mediterranean Salad bowl, and let us sample a few of the components, so I ended up getting that ($15.50) and my friend got the Tibetan Mama ($15.50). Size-wise, my bowl definitely felt like more bang for your buck, and if you eat smaller meals, you could definitely split it in half and feel full. My friend still felt hungry after finishing the Tibetan Mama. Le Botaniste makes veggies tasty, and we enjoy their food! One small note is that the Mediterranean bowl comes with a tumeric sauce. If youre sensitive to that flavor, then request for them to go easy on it, because it can be overpowering.Kimari did an amazing job selling me on the Mediterranean bowl, and really knew the menu inside and out! I appreciated that he approached it by highlighting the ingredients instead of just pushing the fact that it was seasonal. He also let me sample the tumeric sauce before I went for it, to make sure I would be happy with the taste. Then, as we were eating, the manager came out and also checked in on us to make sure we were doing okay! My only issue with service was that it was really hot and we did run out of water, and no one helped us out with that. Otherwise, this was a very pleasant dining experience!
Excellent quality and tasty dishes!
Simply put, Le Botaniste offers a truly delicious, inviting menu for all food lovers, regardless of food preference or background. The flavors are as bold as the presentation is vibrant. The botanical salad in particular was excellent, and while I didn’t personally try the soups or stews, they looked absolutely stunning. As soon as you step inside, you can feel the appreciation for simplistic, responsibly sourced and prepared food. If you are searching for a meal that not only tastes good but makes you feel good, this is undoubtedly the place.
Great place to grab a quick meal! Warm laid back space with lots of healthy vegan options.
For a gluten free vegan, this place is heaven. I can eat everything on the menu!!! This place is like an upscale sweet green with warm food options. Also the atmosphere is the cutest with plants, inside and outside dining options. Only minus is that there’s no coffee… otherwise highly recommend!
Love this place. Great meals that fills and fuels the body. Awesome service and good vibes.
I’ve been twice now and I love this place. Delicious, filling and very flavorful food! Excited to try the whole menu.
Why not give more grains???After this happening so many times in different locations, I find this really disappointing. I love Le Botaniste! Its such a great alternative to so many places in the city. However, the portions of the grains are not okay. I ended up ordering a side every single time or a desert so I can feel full. The rest is great, but the grains?! Come on, its the cheapest thing on the menu! I literally got about maximum 2 tablespoons of Quinoa with my Moroccan stew. I could have just gotten the stew by itself, had I known. Yes, there was also sweet potato. I wanted to pour the stew over the Quinoa, but no - I would have never been able to find it.Is this what we are going for these days? I get the inflation, but grains??This just makes me mad and then I can just cook my own meal in the first place.
Balanced, cozy and homy place, high quality food and very nice staff. Good job!
This restaurant serves the kind of food that makes you feel loved from the inside. And my god it’s delicious and totally guilt-free. What a find!
First time at this place the food was good portion size a little small and the are a little expensive. But everything is very fresh and tasty.
My score for the place is good because the vegan ingredients are so versatile and delicious. I definitely recommend this place for its presentation and taste. I tried spicy chili, it wasnt very spicy. Besides, it was very nutritious. There was chickpeas and lentils in the rice.
My favorite to go vegan restaurant. The pasta bolo is the best. The bolognese sauce is too good.
Ive eaten here many times. Food is very good, I have been a member re frequent visits and have recommended this place to others.Tonight it was busy, I was going to a show and went there for soup. I saw it placed in a bowl and placed on the counter, it was only in need of garnish. There was a long line and I was concerned the soup would get cold so I asked if I could have it.The manager refused and said rather sternly I had to wait until those ahead of me were taken care of. It would have taken 30 seconds to apply the garnish and give me the soup while it was still hot. My request was not unreasonable nor would it have unduly delayed others ahead of me.The manager seemed stressed and was not flexible in his approach to me or my simple request. His tone was harsh, unpleasant and not customer friendly.I have been a frequent patron of this restaurant and wont be back.
The food was great and the place was nicely decorated. The staff was very friendly. Would definitely come again!
Been a couple times so far and each time there is something delicious to try. I’m not vegan, I typically steer away from all vegan restaurants…but I keep coming back!Staff are always friendly. I feel weird just leaving my tray on the tables (vs dumping food in the trash and leaving tray and dishes somewhere inside) but they always tell me to just go, so *shrug* I do.Worth trying if you are in the area. Very filling and not super heavy which is nice!
Very tiny portions for the price of $21 (you pay extra for cooked food ie. steamed and roasted vegetables). If you’re pregnant I would avoid the toppings as most are raw and this time there were fruit flies flying around the bar area which is not the worst thing ever but it’s not pleasant. Also, due to the servers taking a little to long to serve me and complete my bowl, my roasted veggies were no longer hot and when I asked if my bowl could be reheated I was met with an attitude from who I think was the manager for that day. So taking it home and reheating it there 🙌 Ashley is super nice though and if I return, I will only look to her for A+ hospitality.
Flavors are quite nice but this place really lacks protein. Got the Tibetan Mama bowl and it was really unbalanced. A ton of rice and sauce, but the scoop of sauce they gave me contained only 6 chickpeas. Very small portion of steamed greens on top. If they upped the ratio of chickpeas and greens, it would be way better!A lot of the dishes would be easy to incorporate tofu, beans, edamame, etc into. Lovely atmosphere but needs some tweaking to really be a 5 star restaurant.
Great food, love it! Healthy and delicious. Would like if it was slightly less expensive but so good to have great vegan food in the city. 5 starts
I recently visited [Le Botanist] for brunch and unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. The service I received was extremely disappointing, marked by a rude encounter with the server. As I approached the counter to choose my food, I was taken aback when the server loudly and abruptly shouted, Next! The tone and manner in which the server spoke to me were completely disrespectful and unnecessary. It is disheartening to see such a lack of basic customer service skills, especially during peak hours and weekends when restaurants tend to be busier.I understand that working in a fast-paced environment can be stressful, but it is imperative for establishments to value customer service and maintain a level of professionalism at all times. The way the server addressed me not only made me feel unwelcome but also raised concerns about the overall quality of service at [Botanist].Moreover, it was evident that the limited number of staff members present was unable to cope with the demands of the busy brunch hours. With only two employees responsible for managing the bar and cashier, it was no surprise that they appeared overwhelmed and unable to provide attentive and efficient service. It is crucial for [Botanist] to assess their staffing needs during peak hours and allocate adequate resources to ensure a positive dining experience for their customers. Adding more employees or implementing a system that can handle the influx of customers would greatly alleviate the strain on the existing staff and improve the overall service quality. As a customer, I believe that good customer service is an integral part of any dining experience. Unfortunately, my visit to [Botanist] fell short of these expectations, leaving me dissatisfied and disappointed. I sincerely hope that the management takes this feedback constructively and takes appropriate measures to address the issues mentioned. While the food at [Botanist] may be noteworthy, the overall dining experience, including the service and staffing concerns, left a negative impression on me. It is my hope that future patrons receive better treatment and experience an improved level of customer service.
Grabbed dinner before Lincoln Center. It is really fast and while there was a nice crowd, we found a table. The food was delicious and it is great for me to walk into a restaurant knowing I can order anything on the menu. The food was far better than one expects of cafeteria fare and taste easily matches most good restaurants.
Nice, welcoming staff. The food was delicious, light on my stomach and full of flavor :) I strongly recommend this place
First time trying this place in NYC. Really amazing and delicious vegan food and variety! Loved the atmosphere with open windows and outside sitting!
Ive found a new favorite. Delicious / healthy food, reasonably priced with a cool atmosphere. Its set up like an apothecary and you just place your order at the front and find a table thats got water waiting for you; I find this to be a nice touch since most places charge for water. The staff were kind and helpful! Will definitely be frequenting this place on a regular basis.
Excellent place we stumbled upon in the Upper West Side. Food was delicious, staff was great. If you want a delicious vegan lunch, go here! We will come back next time in NYC.
Le Botaniste still surprises the senses as an Upper West Side charm for those looking for (what I think is) the most healthiest of fast casual choices for the area. On display is a cornucopia of vegetables, roots, and spices to craft a flavorful yet tasty lunch on the run. Or you can of course sit and people watch the stream of those walking along Columbus Ave.
My favorite Vegan place in nyc. Very hearty soups and bowls.
Came in for dinner around 8pm on a Friday. They were out of a bunch of things but understandable as they close at 9pm.Tried the sag special and it was really bland and probably meant to be paired with the rice and sweet potatoes (that were out of stock) so was pretty lack luster and not filling as it ended up being such a tiny portionThe chili on the other hand was better and a more reasonable portion as well. Great flavor and texture and recommend getting this one. Both my wife and I had bad gas and tummy aches after which was odd so maybe the dishes just werent agreeable for us.
As a non-vegan, I enjoyed this place. Tasty food!Bottom line: portions could be more generous and/or pricing should be lower. The lunch menu (bowl + soup) is not a bad deal. Flavors are rich and ingredients are fresh.Nice vibe, designed like an old school vegan pharmacy.Service is kind, but no table service (side note: what do you tip for, if thats the case?!).
Love this place! The food is truly amazing. The interior is a nice escape from the city. A paint smell from the street wafted into the store and they even offered me a free dessert to make up for it. The service here is top notch.
Lovely plant-based place! I enjoyed the style of food display - you can see all the options in front of you which makes it easy to choose what you think you may like. I got the Moroccan dish, and it was delicious! The atmosphere was chill, they have a few little dining areas, each with their own vibe. As a vegan, I’d come here again!
Incredible, delicious, complex, and layered dishes. Cannot recommend enough and I’m neither vegan or vegetarian. But now I’m thinking about it! The staff were so friendly and helpful.
Incredibly kind team and delicious vegan food. Unlimited options and you can’t possibly go wrong. All incredible
Really nice resturant, gluten-free friendly which I appreciate! I had the spicy chilli sin carne with a kombucha, both of which were tasty.
I like coming here for a veggie/vegan dinner detox every once in a while. The menu is great and food is very highly quality. The chili sin carne and the Morrocan stew are my faves, but their seasonal dishes can be great as well. My only criticism is that the food can be a bit pricey considering the somewhat modestly-sized portions. Ordering can also be a bit strange and unorganized at times because of the lack of a structured line.
Good conversation with the boss Sam. Great atmosphere and amazing customer service. Definitely will recommend and will be back!
The food is delicious and the service is very friendly. The only thing I find a bit exaggerated is the fact that there’s so many items which you have to pay extra. What is so expensive about steamed greens?!
I ordered a make your own bowl for pick up to go to an outdoor Lincoln Center event last night and I have to say it was quite delicious. It was a lot of food. I saved some for leftover dinner the following day. Minor quibble that if you pay extra for vegetable balls they only give you two, but they were tasty. I will definitely be back for more.
Solid 3 maybe 3.5.This place builds itself as a vegetarian food and wine bar pharmacy with everyone dressed as a pharmacist to heal you with food and wine (cute
We ordered three bowls and all of them were delicious! The place is so nice! A must for vegans and non-vegans too!
What a taste! All those vegan out there you’ve to visit this place. Delicious cuisine. When your opera plan fail at Met, don’t forget to visit this place. All your sadness will convert into happiness. The food I try was veggie Sushi roll and Pasta Bolo. Both were just awesome.Keep up the good taste!
If you are a vegan and love good healthy and innovative vegan recipesThis place is for you.It is also close to the opera so you can have a dinner or a healthy snack before the show.
🍃Nice place with a great vibe to eat homemade food, vegetarian or vegan.🍜 We had the bowl with rice, curry sauce, kimchi and vegetables. It was really good. They also serve other bowls, soups and sandwiches.💧If you order bottled water they serve you filtered water and they charge you for it. 🤔🤑 Service is good. Prices are ok.
Was very disappointed to see that they keep all of their healthy detox juices in plastic! You can’t sell something as healthy and detoxing if it’s bringing micro plastics into your body. This is particularly disappointing because I’ve loved this place and the service is good. Now I’m tempted to stop going
Great fresh plant based food 🥘 no gluten 👍the bar gives lots of flexibilities to crest your “ own” meal. Nice soups, brown rice and chili 🌶- the place is clean and crispy with great vibes
First things first, I arrived on a Friday at around 6pm. I walked in looked at the menu, I was greeted by everybody behind the counter. The Young women asked if I had been before and if there’s anything she can assist or explain via the menu to let her know. The food was amazing I honestly forget the name, I tried about three different bowls and they all where so good.l, flavor full and presentation was beautiful. I’d Recommend
Very good, tasty and healthy food. Thank you very much
My first day in NY from UK and found this place on Google, it looked nice so wanted to grab a coffee on a cold day and some filling food.My Omni brother was offered to taste some options before buying which I thought was a nice touch. He tried the vegan bolognaise and Chilli Sin Carne, he struggled to decide though eventually chose the Chill, which he loved, though wasn’t too keen on the Bulgar wheat rather than rice.I went with the bolognaise, absolutely delicious (other than cilantro that was added).Meals were reasonably priced with really good servings, so definitely value for money. The coffee on the other hand was somewhat different. I was looking for a cafe latte with oat or soya milk, unfortunately I couldn’t get either, instead had to opt for mushroom Maine coffee, which was somewhat different and not to my taste.I would highly recommend for food.
Enjoyed my vegan lunch at Le Botaniste. Friendly staff, savory food, and nice outdoor seating made it a good experience. I regularly eat vegan meals so I’ll be back.
So happy Le Botaniste opened in our neighborhood! We had a small lunch of the sushi and a butternut squash soup, plus a charcoal and vanilla latte drink. We both left feeling like we had a nourishing and flavorful meal! Excited to try more things on the menu. Everything is plant-based (vegan) and mostly organic, so you know you’re filling your body with good stuff!
Been here twice. Love the food and vibe here. Recommend it if you are vegan/ vegetarian or just simply want a healthy light meal:)
Fantastic! So healthy and delicious. Juices were perfect!
A really cute vegan place. I’m not vegan but I found their food really tasty and comforting. Recommended the chili sauce with the vegan sour cream!
The food was spectacular & bonus that everything there is gluten-free! Everything tasted really fresh and flavorful but not too salty but the portion sizes are somewhat small for the prices. I know its organic food so it s going to cost more but the chia pudding is a teeny-tiny little 4oz cup for $6.50. I wasnt too impressed with the staff member who helped me. This was my 1st time going there but she didnt seem friendly or patient with me as I made my decision about what to have. Once I made my selections, she quickly plopped the food into my bowl without care or concern about presentation. Not sure why she was rushing so much because I was the only customer in the store at the time since they had just opened up. Anyway, the delicious food made up for the lack in presentation and service. I would still go back again & hopefully get someone who is a bit more friendly.
Its like food meditation. I absolutely loved it. It has a good vibe and energy.Great vegan options. Quantity of one bowl is good for one person one meal.
Good food, even for people who are non-vegan! I did pay more simply because I put in some extra sides, but prices range more from $15-$25, it really just depends on what youre getting. Staff are kind and will hear you out if you have any concerns!
Very tasty, healthy food. Nice service 👌
Amazing vegan place. Good service and delicious food.
Id recommend this place to anyone, its really good, friendly service and all at great prices, hope they open even more locations!
The botanical salad nourished my body and soul. Flavorful, healthy, and beautiful food in a lovely space.
The food and service here was absolutely wholesome. A true vegan/or plant based persons meal, not a bunch of fried dough and rice.. The vibe is reminiscent of an apothecary and reminds us that food is (or at least should be) medicine for the body and soul.
This is such a yummy spot! I love their coconut curry. Honestly, it all looks incredible and I will just have to keep coming back until I have tried it all. Or they should put out a cookbook and share the love of their incredible recipes. They are plant-based which makes my tummy and the earth so happy.
I love the food, the staff and the place, but they could improve their ventilation system. No matter how little time I spend there, I leave the place with my clothes and my hair smelling like food. Other than that everything is great!
Enjoyed a fantastic, delicious, nourishing meal.Appreciated my experience at Le Botaniste and am beyond grateful that I had the opportunity to plant a tree with my order. 🌳Keep growing! 🌱 🌲🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Great place, all plant based and the staff are really nice and attentive.
This place is and feels so goooooood.
We all had really delicious meals - each a different vegan treat. Stew, pasta, guacamole, etc. , and brownies with espressos for dessert. We dined in and enjoyed the relaxed, casual decor.
Great variety of vegan meals, and nicely priced as well. A definite go-to spot.
Great vegan organic meals and service
Quality ingredients and fresh food - so much flavor without being overpowering.I had their beet and carrot juices as well as the jackfruit salad. It was all delicious. Staff is friendly and helpful.
Stopping by the place before going to the Lincoln Center for an early afternoon musical. We are not vegan but were intrigued by this nice place. The food was delicious and the staff was so friendly and helpful. Lovely experience!
This latest west location is just as fantastic as the others. 5 stars in all categories-Hospitality-Food presentation/quality-Taste-AtmosphereAnd the list goes on.When I walk into a Le Bontaniste I feel like Im walking into dining room of my dream home.
Like an upscale Chipotle and 100% VEGAN!Loved it and will return.
I am very happy with the menu, very colorful and so so tasty. ☆
This is one of my favorite non-dairy aka vegan restaurants from the Upper West Side. They have a vegan chili that taste amazing! A bolognese that taste like it has meat, but it has no meat. They also have a ceviche made of coconut skin that has an interesting GOOD flavor. I originally came to Le Botaniste for their non-dairy turmeric latter and charcoal drink that comes in a cute beaker, but I think they stopped serving it that way - don’t know why! It was so cute, but most probably people started taking the beakers which is NOT COOL! Last but not least, they have this brownie with chia seeds in it and a delicious cashew sauce - I always get this as desert.A couple of things to note:No wifi! I still have worked on my computer there, but not for a long time. Just not that kind of place.Servers don’t come to your table to serve you. Instead, you go up to the counter to order your food, pay right there and then, and then you go to your table to eat. They have a dairy free sour cream that taste just like dairy sour cream.
If you are looking for amazing healthy plant based foods . . . Dont walk run to this establishment. Ate for first time at the Lexiton Ave. location not realizing one very close to our neighborhood was on Columbus Ave. Have not been disappointed with anything that we have tried yet. All I can say is , who knew.
This is my favorite vegan restaurant in Manhattan. The food is very healthy, and not expensive. There are no fake meats or vegan junk food here (which I like, but need to limit), all the food is whole food plant based.
I never do reviews but oh my god this place feels like a safe haven. delicious, healthy, traceable food- nutrition facts given to you so no guessing. the omega-3 brownie literally caused me to yelp it was so good. as a plant-based eater of 6 years i’ve never been more happy to eat at an establishment. come here bro
Just got coffee here - service was great and food smelled great; will have to come back for the food
Good service and variety of vegan options to choose from. I got the Mediterranean bowl (loved the ratatouille) and it was nice. My friend got the Vegetable Tajine and it was also nice and spicy. Overall good experience.
Amazing homey food to grab before the opera!
The place is very pretty. You can find beautiful artwork all around. The staff is friendly. The desert brownie was good and saved the day. It is good that we no longer struggle to find vegan restaurants. The veggies were very fresh, however the Miso magic soup base and the Tibetan mama soup base became extremely citrus-y after the first few bites. Could not eat more than half the bowl to save ourselves. Normally would never waste food or waste money like that. Had an upset stomach afterwards.
Wonderful spot for freshly made vegan foods with a charming, warm atmosphere. Good number of gluten-free items, and they seem knowledgeable about all sorts of allergens.
The staff here are so helpful and kind! Its roomier & brighter than the UES location, with nice seating and same great menu. The chocolate chip pecan cookie is AMAZING!
Please be aware that employers serve smaller portions to women.. I watched them serving to many people; portions to bigger people and men were definitely bigger..biased against women and a total rip off. Also, the vegetables were overcooked and tasteless.
A bit pricy, but the flavours were nice and balanced with a diverse selection of different bowls with different ingredients. All organic, clean restaurant and friendly staff. Handicap toilet available.
A fast food heaven, all vegan and gluten-free. I went to meet a friend over lunch and loved the ambience, fast and friendly service, and food. Couldn’t pick just one thing so I went for the “3 half bowls” options, and I enjoyed everything. Not the best ever food I’ve ever eaten- dream about it at night etc - and also on the expensive side - but I’ll go back without a doubt.
Delicious and varied vegetarian menu, pleasant atmosphere, great prices.
Yummy healthy food and great management
What a magnificent restaurant! All foods are great, even if you are not vegan you would enjoy the foods here. My favorite is the pea hummus and the Tibetan bowl.
Obsessed with their plant based food! I dream about their veggie chile sin carne.
The best vegan restaurant Ive been to. Outstanding.
Nourishing plant-based food
Food was over salted and didn’t sit well. Had higher hopes than what was delivered. The vibe and atmosphere was so cute! I wanted to love it but wouldn’t come back for the food.
Excellent restaurant, amazing food, wonderful service. Anderson is a rockstar and makes you feel super welcome every time you visit.
I really love this restaurant for the healthy options that they have. The portions are good and the food is filling. I usually get the rice, coconut curry, steamed greens, tofu, and jakuna. They have a variety of options for you to build your own bowl. I also love that they use ingredients I normally wouldnt eat and make them all interesting.
Their veggie balls, with the lemon hummus👌🏽👌🏽
Nice healthy food options at great prices! Food is served in beautiful dishes with real cutlery (no disposables!) And the outdoor dining space is lovely.
Very good veggie place. The food is tasty, generous and healthy. Going at this place, you will mostly listen at french songs ^^
Excellent quality of food and a varied choice to suit all.
Such a beautiful vegan place in Manhattan. Testy, nice atmosphere but if u first time here u need understand menu, because staff so so…
Second time in this location. The food is good but the customer service was too apprehensive. The workers were not helpful to explain the “creat your own bowl” and made the menus more confusing than it was. They also rushed me to order which made me all around anxious. Next time I’ll try a different location; because the food is really good.
Solid vegan options at a casual location, for a very fair price.I had the Tibetan Mama, which was delicious. The miso bowl is also a great option! The employees were very helpful and certainly made me feel very welcome.I would love to visit the other locations in the city!
Highly recommend this place. Friendly staff, decent price point and delicious food. Have been here twice, had the Tibetan Mamma first time and the spicy chilli sin carne today. Bother excellent.
It was truly amazing experience with delicious vegan food
If you like eating plants, you’ll love this place!
Amazing food and staff. One of my favorites in NYC. When they make a mistake they make sure the customer is happy with the resolution. Highly recommended.
Excellent, healthy, all gluten free
Tasty and healthy 😋
Delicious. Great staff.
I lunched here today. It was my fist time eating here. The staff was very gracious and helpful. I ordered the vegetarian tagine with a salad. The food was amazing and it was presented in a very beautiful and creative way. Go check it out- it’s great!
Tasty treats for vegan and also for curious customers
Nice vegetarian restaurant near Central Park 👏💙🙏
Casual fast dining with fine dining service. everything is gluten free and vegan and delicious. the service though was so good. they let us sample things and helped us decide what to get. there was no rush on making us decide. so cute inside. overall lovely spot.
Cant say enough about this little gem. Grabbed a bite after the opera and before heading to Connecticut. The flavors, presentation, and variety were exceptional for quick fare. Rivals some higher end fare!!! I would head into the city to take a walk and grab lunch here. Just because... It was that good!
Such an Amazing Experience! Amazing Food
Mediocre vegan food that is very overpriced. They dont even try to give the impression youre getting a full bowl and a desert that didnt sit 2 days in the refrigerator. Theres a nice Wholefoods not so far away where you can get better value for your money
Deliciousness! So fresh and tasty. That chili was great! Adding to regular rotation!
A+
Delicious vegan bowls
Delicious!!
Vegan heaven
Great food! The dip for the sushi is amazing!
One of my favorite places for healthy plant based food. Very fast service.
Peanut coconut tofu currysteamed veggiesraw vegan chocolate cakechocolate brownie cake*****Healthy, comforting & yummy
A bowl for 15$. It was barely filled and I asked if he could top it with more greens. He said for 2.50$ more. I wont return.
I’ve gone 3x since they opened and everything is friendly, freshly and healthy! I see lots more on the menu I want to try.
Very tasty! Fast service and reasonable prices. Nice atmosphere tooWill come back soon
Very fresh and staff was pleasant & helpful. I prefer chairs that are not stools and benches therefore cant say 5 stars
Honestly a pretty great vegan place. The food was pretty great and the staff much more nice and helpful than I expect from food places. You can also definitely bring non-vegans here and they wont be salty about it
Recommend the curry bowl :) great place for quick lunch!
Great food and service!
Neighborhood gem.
Truly an exceptional addition to the New York City scene. A go-to for any conscious and health-conscious diner.
So yummy 100% plant-based food, kids friendly and staff is adorable
Amazing food and atmosphere! Phenomenal desserts!
Incredible options. Beautifully thought out food. Amazing. Magical outdoor dining shed. Come here.
Great plant-based restaurant. The food is great and the staff is courteous.
Great environment, very good food
Best food for the body; you will feel it
Best place on the UWS! A great variety of delicious and healthy dishes!
Sat down to eat my delicious food for half an hour and observed how they treat the customers. Such friendly staff, pleasure to visit every time.
High quality food. Taste can be subjective. I loved the tibetan mama bowl. Great for trying out a new, especially for vegans.
Food was pretty good. I especially like the chili. forgot the name of the dish, it was like a soupy quinoa dish. that was pretty good too. We had a party of four and I told the cashier at the last person on the line will pay for everybody. So he let me take my tray to the table. Another cashier comes to my table 2 minutes later and accusing me of not paying. Complete misunderstanding but he should have checked with his coworker before accusing me of anything. atmosphere was good. Clean, but the most uncomfortable chairs ever. maybe its intentional. they want you to eat and quickly leave.
The food looks amazing, but minus one point for “no Wi-Fi for customers” and minus another star for the bad box wine. To be fair, the staff warned me that the wine wasn’t very good… I should have listened.
Very vegan vibes. Food is fresh, and sortof fusion-y with elements from various cuisines. Atmosphere is laid back, the staff are formal but friendly. Great if you are gluten free. The chairs and tables are very compact, few chairs have a back, which makes it difficult to place a bag if you bring one. I got the Tibetan Mama dish and the chia seed pudding, very good curry and decent pudding.
Delicious fresh food. Wonderful service.
Delicious organic food with a flair for world flavors! All plant based. Healthy and good food has never tasted more flavorful. Great use of sauces, herbs, spices that make you feel like you are eating a gourmet meal in a fast casual setting. Highly recommend - it is an experience worth indulging in!!!
I’ve been coming to Le Botaniste for about 7 years now and have never had a meal that was disappointing till today. I ordered one of my favorites, pasta bolognese. I was very disappointed to see not only has the price increased (understandably given cost of food) which I understand, but they shrunk the portions by nearly half. This is another prime example of businesses trying to trick its patrons by shrinking portion sizes to line their own pockets. Regretfully I don’t think I will be back, $16 for a half lunch portion of food hasn’t satisfied me enough to bring me back.
That yellow raw onion gave me a breath of the devil. Farts included.
Great flavourful food, and a lovely calm atmosphere!
After a day of travel the chili and the Moroccan stew were a perfect way to warm up after a long, cold walk. I also enjoyed the lemonade with turmeric. Now that I’ve found this place I plan to eat here often. Perfect for anyone who’s hungry, but especially for people who eat a plant-based diet.
I love this place so much 💛 their food is truly medicine, high quality, feel good, and tasty. Sometimes I forget about them but recently ordered delivery from here.My go to is the coconut curry. I love the saffron aioli. I love their kimchi and usually get turmeric onions for the turmeric benefits.Highly recommend.
Amazing service. They take the time to go over their menu, the options and alternatives!Food is delicious, seating is a little tight but overall great⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Over rated, over priced, small portions
The food is so salty its almost inedible
My favorite in NYC!! The atmosphere and food are sofisticated and delicious.
The best vegan meal I’ve ever had. And at the same time so healthy! Service was great, I really enjoyed it!
Its not that I hated it, but the place is highly overrated, so I want to offset the current score as much as possible. The iced teas are good but the magic miso soup I had was okay at best. The seats are highly uncomfortable too
Superseded avocado starter $8 !
Loooove this place one of the best options for healthy food in nyc. I take a train just to come eat and unwind. The best part is that i order my food worryfree! 😋Love it!! ❤️
Great food and helpful staff!
Vegan fast food, very good bowls. Not cozy.
Pricey but tasty. I like having the carafes of water on table. Had the miso which was good but the noodles were a bit under done for my taste, I think glass noodles might be better. My friend had the tagine and liked the flavors.
So good! Give it a try!
Lovely place, cool concept, light and flavorful dishes. Will come back! I am not even vegan.
The menu is super confusing. They are really inflexible about making any customizations. But the food is delicious and healthy.
I was pleasantly surprised here. For a place that looks fancy, it was a friendly environment with good food and friendly staff. Extra high benches along the wall for your tall friends. Sweet.
Great food, delicious and fresh , that kind of food that makes you feel energized and happy
Great spot, quick, great food, amazing flavor and wine!
What a cute little spot! The vibe was wonderful, and the food was delicious. Will be coming back!
Amazing restaurant. Beautiful inside and excellent food. Highly recommend
Delicious, nutritious, organic!!! All at a reasonable price served up in a charming space by friendly staff. My husband and I stopped in for a bite before seeing a performance at Lincoln Center. So grateful to have this in the neighborhood. Thank you, Le Botanist!
