Musette Wine Bar

This spot was recommended to me but maybe I came in too early (1:50pm). I specifically came for the crème brûlée and the chai latte which they didn’t have either of. The machine was broken for the latte and I was informed that the crème brûlée would be available after 5pm. I hadn’t seen anywhere on the website that certain food is served after a certain time because I would have waited. I settled for a hazelnut iced coffee which wasn’t that great (maybe human error).There were a couple of pastries on the counter and a nice wine selection. I don’t think I’ll be returning although I can definitely see how the ambience and environment could change later in the evening. i’d say try for weekend brunch or on an evening after work.Update- there was a man (maybe owner) that was nice enough to inform me that they would be drilling, which he didn’t have to do. The barista also spoke on my way out and because of these two things, I changed my review to reflect more of a positive one.

Quaint local wine bar. Seems to be LGBT supported by the neighborhood patrons. Great wine selection. Beautiful decor almost like an uptown oasis. Had a flight of Prosecco champagne and cava which was great. PRO-TIP get there early enough in the evening and there a great wine shop around the corner with an excellent selection with great and friendly service.

The selection of cheeses, dried fruit and nuts paired perfectly with the wines we chose.But what truly sets Mussette apart is the warmth and genuine passion of the staff. They made our evening unforgettable, offering insights and recommendations that enhanced our experience. If youre in Harlem and looking for a cozy spot with exceptional wine and hospitality, Mussette is the place to be.

Thank heaven for this place. It’s the best coffee shop in the neighborhood and I only wish they would expand or open more locations. It’s always filled with creative and interesting people and such a nice environment to meet a friend or do some work. Thank you to these owners for this neighborhood gem. Please do more!

Such a cozy cafe in the heart of Harlem. Had a lavender matcha latte and their house lemon pistachio cake. Amazinggg combo. Love this place!

Musette Cafe is the espresso at the center of the coffee that is Harlem. The cafe by day, wine bar by night is accented with French doors, exposed brick, flowers a bloom on each tabletop, and petite oak wood tables making for a cozy dining experience. In the cafe, artists, writers, and academics convene to create, theorize, and engage in the occasional repartee, soaking in the most divine and artistic coffee in upper Manhattan.

I loved it. The staff are very friendly. The wine was delicious and the food. Love the atmosphere. Definitely will go back.

My favorite wine bar became a coffee shop and it’s as good as the bar. I am usually very picky and don’t like bitter coffee but the coffee here is amazing. The vibe is great, the pastries are too. I wish there was lunch food so I could stay longer.

Got to be one of my favorite restaurants in the entire city. Felt like so much care and thought went into the food (the Musette flatbread is superb) and I love that they include some weird wines in the list. Staff has a great and infectious energy and the ambience is always perfect. Cant speak highly enough about this place.

Such a quaint beautiful atmosphere next to the hustle of Lenox Ave. Great coffee with friendly service and the owner Joffrey(seen in the photo) is usually around to say hello. (And at night it’s a glorious wine bar with a huge selection)

Casual, Classy. The wines here and food is delicious! The service is also very good. Eli was my server when I went and he was very accommodating.

Service is always great. I go here pretty often, would give 5 stars but a couple of times some of the food has been hit or miss.

Musette is such a beautiful place. The food is excellent (honey wings fell in love) and the staff is very nice (+ 1 for the new barista). They give really good advice for the wines and they have unique selection!! Congrats

This stellar unfussy wine bar serves as a romantic alcove to relax and sip at night, or a cozy Harlemcoffee corner in the morning.

Outstanding!! This is the restaurant offshoot of the excellent wine shop next door. Wine here is off the charts good and the staff knows their stuff. They have a strong menu of french food. Everything I‘ve had has been delicious. The portions are kinda small. Staff and owner are super welcoming and cool. A top pick in the area.

Extensive wine selection with unique/quirky wines and some fun flights. Vibes are immaculate - intimate and everyone seems to always be having a great time! A gem in the neighborhood.

I was excited to see this wine bar arrive in West Harlem. I’ve passed it many times since it’s opening. A friend and I decided to reserve a table on Sunday at 5:15pm. There were no diners upon our arrival, but several people were at the bar. Once my friend and I were seated, our waiter took our drink orders. He was very knowledgeable of the wines offered and made some great suggestions.There was no offering of bread, just a glass of water! I had the Lambrusco and my friend had one of the $22 wine samplers. We both found our selections to be okay. I ordered the honey wings and burrata, while my friend ordered the flatbread. Again, they were okay.The main concern that I had was when the desserts we had ordered were brought out. A man (maybe a manager or additional waitstaff) walked towards our table with our desserts, but seemed reluctant to give them to us when we indicated that they were the desserts we ordered. He then laid them on the bar and disappeared into the kitchen. He then came out reclaimed the dishes from the bar walked past us, and went directly to the table next to us. I would like to mention that this was a table of white people. They declined the dessert, whereupon he then walked over to then give us the desserts that we indicated to him were ours from the beginning! I enjoyed my crème brûlée, however my friend’s berry tart was inedible. What we assumed was melted butter was puddled on the sides. This we did mention to our waiter. He offered to have it remade. At that point we were ready to leave. (The previously mentioned group of people had an infant that intermittently shrieked at the top of her little lungs!) We just wanted the dessert taken off the bill. A few minutes later another crème brûlée was brought out! 🤷🏾‍♂️ We tipped our waiter well! (None of the afore mentioned was his fault!) He was hustling!I want this wine bar to be successful. It could be a real asset to our community. It’s close to my home and has the appearance of a great meeting place to sip and chat! One day and I will stop in again with the expectation that I will have a better drinking, eating, and social experience.

I wouldnt go back. Cute building & decor. Cheese board was okay but there was one cheese like a swiss cheese which doesnt have a pleasant texture or taste and should not be on a charcuterie board. Also the cook (?) was out of the kitchen talking with the staff about topics that should not be discussed in the front of house, and he swore constantly.

Charming wine bar with great food, a good selection of wines by the glass as well as an extensive longlist of wines with attention to women-owned and black-owned wineries. Music and ambience were at the perfect volume to have a conversation without shouting!

Great wine. however, there was a man with a really huge cake outside along with 3 other gentlemen following him, i have to say, i was really tempted to follow him aswell, but i finished my wine and it was amazing, the food was great too.

I always have the most amazing time at Musette. I’ve been here twice now and the location is ideal. It reminds me of a chic wine bar in France that was placed in Harlem; the dissonance is beautiful and works together perfectly. It’s definitely a sight to behold. As you walk in the atmosphere is warm and the staff is welcoming. The wine options are endless & I’ve never been given a wine suggestion that I did not appreciate. The Hummus board & salmon flatbread are my favs! Literal must haves 🤗. I’m happy to have found this gem, I’ll be back!

I came to celebrate a friend here while in town. We planned to meet around 9 and when I arrived, I was greeted by a paper sign noting theyre closing early. Nothing was posted on their social media, and when I asked if I missed something, the bartender had a bit of an attitude and said it was just the sign. There was no acknowledgement or consideration that this might be super inconvenient for customers. Before that, I wasnt greeted upon entry and when I found the waiter/host, his only words were that they were closing at 10. Yes...thanks, Ive discovered that. I found the service to be inattentive and frankly a bit rude, which like, youre on 131st street, relax. The wine was fine, but the bartender wasnt particularly friendly and it didnt seem like the place or time to engage with the menu to understand the flavor profiles of the wine. Two stars since they didnt immediately kick us out at 10, but I wont return.

Soooo.... Have been waiting for months for this sister establishment to Pompette wine store to open. Worth the wait! This wine bar has an amazing wine list by bottle and by glass. They allowed us to taste several to help us decide which glasses to order. Thrilled with the resulting selections.We asked how often they will refresh the by the glass list. Answer: 4 weeks. I think that means well be back once per month. A fantastic add to the neighborhood. And if you are elsewhere in Manhattan, well worth the trip to Harlem.

Chic wine bar with an eclectic variety of wines and beers from around the world. Appetizers are great and the owners are incredibly welcoming and friendly. Don’t sleep on this place especially if you’re a wine connoisseur. 5/5 would come back.
