The location is good, and the menu looks decent, so we decided to step in for lunch.Unfortunately, all three different meals we ordered were really bland! It is surprising, as pasta in general is not a difficult dish to make, at least to make it average level. The pricing is pricey, but that comes with the location, I guess. Not sure what the problem is here - perhaps too much is pre-prepared? Nevertheless, it is definitely not a place Id return to.Absolutely no complaints about the staff, who is friendly and attentive.
⭐️⭐️⭐️Visited Osteria Moroni in SoHo, drawn by its fusion Italian menu. The food we ordered was decent - it hit the okay mark but didnt quite dazzle the taste buds. However, the high price tag, especially for the wine and drinks, felt a bit steep.Considering the location, some premium is expected, but just a few blocks away, there are spots offering more authentic and value-packed Italian experiences.A fair choice if youre nearby, but theres more to explore in the area for Italian cuisine enthusiasts. 🍝🍷📍
Our dinner soooo good I’m so happy we went for my birthday. Our server Brahim was attentive and very friendly. We had a meat and cheese board as an appetizer which was 10/10. The parmesan Reggiano and goat milk blue cheese were so good and the meat we chose was very fresh. I had the cappelletti pasta entree which was over the top amazing, never had anything like it, and it came out super hot! My fiancé had the veal, amazing as well and a great portion. I can’t wait to go back here.
Rustic, traditional Italian fare in a rustic, traditional Italian setting. No surprises here, so if you’re looking for cozy comfort food that’s delicious and more refined than that food served in similar settlings, Osteria Morini is a great option! We had dinner at the bar, ordered fried artichokes, meatballs and two pastas to share. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented. The pastas were made perfectly with adequate firmness and with just the right amount of sauce. The meatballs and pastas were all served with red sauce, however, each were distinctive and offered their own depth and range of flavors. Would highly recommend.
Service was impeccable! We arrived a little early, but they were able to seat us quickly. Every single server we interacted with was so nice and helpful.Pasta was cooked perfectly and very flavorful. The fish was very tender, yet the skin was a delightful crispiness that had a punch of seasoning that went well. Even the starter bread was so good we asked for more (and you should, too!)Cocktails were also made extremely well. All-in-all a great evening out.
For the best deal go on Monday! They have $15 dollar pasta dishes! With this deal, this place is an amazing value.I enjoyed the vibe here deeply, definitely a cute date spot or some place to catch up with friends. The portion sizes are reasonable for the deal and more than enough for the average person. The gelato and the tiramisu were delicious and receive the highest award for “not being too sweet”!Hot tip: go with a group of 3 people so you can split a cheese/meat board or other apps, before your pasta and dessert!
Osteria Morini is always a safe bet if youre looking for solid Italian food. Their brunch offers delicious bloody Marys, pastas, and typical brunch fare. The large pancake was the perfect mix of savory and sweet. In addition to brunch, I highly recommend trying their ~120 day dry-aged steak which is offered on the first Wednesday of every month. Other must-try dishes include the fusilli and squid ink pastas. In short, I do recommend this and will be returning.
Had a fantastic NYE dinner experience here. Made reservations a couple months out and this place did not disappoint.Started the night off with some burrata and their complimentary bread which was fresh out of the oven and so delicious. It was an airy focaccia bread that was lightly salted. The burrata was cold and creamy so the combination of the two was just phenomenal to start off with. For starters we ordered the Polipo (charred octopus) and the Polpettine (meatballs). I have to say my only criticism of this place is that I was not impressed with the charred octopus at all. It was very chewy and just not the texture I was expecting from a nice restaurant like this. The meatballs was a completely different story though. Probably the best meatballs I’ve ever eaten in my entire life. The flavor and juiciness of them blew my socks off. They also came with a crispy, buttered toast that added a lot to the dish as well. For the pastas we had the Pappardelle and the Tortelli (lobster ravioli). Both of these dishes were home runs. So much flavor from the braised short rib in the pappardelle and the texture of the noodles was perfect. The Tortelli seemed so simple in flavor, but those simple flavors really stood out. The lobster tasted fresh while the tarragon really complimented the dish so well. The cocktails were delicious as well, I got myself a couple old fashions and finished the night off with a glass of their red blend.Overall amazing experience. Would love to come back again when I return to the city
This is one of my favorite places. Haven’t had a single pasta here I didn’t love (and I’ve tried a lot of them). It’s a place that doesn’t try too hard, and it’s easier to get a reservation than it should be in my opinion, but I’m definitely not complaining. It’s just the best.
Absolutely amazing, every dish was perfect including the dark chocolate gelati.Special mention for the octopus, I don’t usually like octopus but decided to take a leap of faith and it was some of the best octopus I’ve ever had.Would definitely recommend for the days you don’t know what you’re craving!
This is one of my favorite Italian restaurants! I love the food, service and the vibe. Usually we order a few kinds of pasta and one appetizer to share. Highly recommend making reservations if you are going in the evening.
Some of the best pasta i have ever eaten! Was able to walk in on a Friday but it did get super busy! Felt like a real authentic Italian with a modern feel and a small menu which i loved. Leave room for the doughnuts.. unfortunately we were too full. Service was a bit slow unfortunately.
Came here on a Sunday. It wasnt very busy. The server suggested the Gramigna and it was phenomenal! Perfect mix of savory and comfort. Definitely coming back for it again soon. The over ambience and experience also was just so comforting and calm :)
Amazing Italian Food with 120 Day aged steak on the menu. Pasta and Broccoli Rabe were Amazing. The service and management is exceptional and the vibe of the restaurant is exhilarating. Christina the GM runs a great team. Definitely a worthwhile experience.
Amazing pasta. Everything tasted fresh and was perfectly cooked. The sauces were sublime and melted into the noodles. We ordered the Battilardo with 3 options and each got a pasta dish. We left very full and totally satisfied
Authentic Italian food and dining outside of my kitchen is very important to me. I enjoy peasant food if its prepared correctly and served well. But every once in a while I have to go to a place like Morini to enjoy creative and special Italian food from people who obviously enjoy creating it and serving it. Do not hesitate and go to Morini for a great dining experience. These pictures show what I enjoyed for lunch/early dinner. The staff encouraged me to pace myself and I had my version of soup to nuts over the course of 2+ hours. Ill be back as soon as I am able.
Our favorite place! Always get the meat and cheese board and the cappelletti pasta. Today we got the burger....one of the best burger I ever had! Went again, the 40-day aged tomahawk steak is like no other.
Food and wine were so good! We shared a salad (insalata mista) and three entrees: lobster tortelli, fusilli with ragù, and veal cutlet with prosciutto cotto and spinach. Service was unfortunately very slow, especially given that the restaurant was only about half full. A bit loud, but the atmosphere felt authentic to a traditional Italian osteria.
Cant go wrong with Anthony Bordains recommendation! Stunning pasta dishes, all of them. Crispy Artichoke is to die for. Wash down with several old fashioned
We had reserved for brunch and managed to get there early which seemed right before rush hour. They took a bit of time getting to us but the waitress apologized as she took our orders. We ordered the artichokes, burrata, classic pizza and spaghetti meatballs. The experience and service went down hill from there: the food came out all together but everything had different temperatures, we were only given a glass of water for each person without a water pitcher like everyone else had or anyone noticing our glasses were low/empty. After our food was packed up we were approached with the total to pay without even seeing the check or being asked how everything was or if we wanted anything else. We hadn’t even been there the max time allowed for each sitting. When reviewing the check we discovered the spaghetti meatballs was $31 even though the paper and website menu said $27, and the window menu said $25, but when mentioned we were told that the meatballs had an extra fee which was not stated anywhere on the menu or mentioned when we ordered it. They did correct it but their attitude changed after that and made us feel like we were being difficult.Food was okay but over-priced and service was so-so. Will probably not be coming back here again.
My favorite Italian in NYC. Go for the spectacular pastas (specially the pork shoulder ragu fusible and the capelletti) and dont forget to build your own cured meats and cheese board. Nice place, kind of dark, but good service and fantastic food.
Came on Mon night for nightcap but pasta were a bit sliding down the usual best. It seems the half price after 9pm also comes w half the experience. We ordered 5 different pastas, even garganelli the good ol standby wasnt quite the usual. Tired?
Would recommend to sit outside if possible, went on a sunny day and inside just seemed a bit too dark. Went for Sunday lunch not particularly busy however staff were not very attentive and we had to get up to get ourselves more napkins and Parmesan for our pasta. Food was Delish. I got the tortellini bolognese.
Came here because I saw an Instagram reel showcasing this restaurant as being top 5 pasta places in all of New York. Let me tell you, they did not lie.Pictured is the truffle ricotta cappelletti and it was absolutely phenomenal. But the fusilli (in the back left) with pork braised shoulder was the subtle star of the show. It was easily the best tomato sauce pasta I’ve ever had.The service was great and helpful, the food was absolutely delicious and the drinks were tasty. Highly recommend!
Pasta night special on Monday after 9! Meals are 12 dollars per pasta and you cant beat that. Especially in nyc.Ordered 4 pasta for 2 people ( no judgments) and enjoyed all of them minus the rigatoni. (Too salty) Overall, a great place with friends or even a first date.
I love this place so much. Came here for a 12:15pm Saturday brunch with friends and it was completely empty. But I have no idea why. Everything is so delish and the location is right by some of the neighborhood’s most popular brunch places (Jack’s Wife Freda, I’m looking at you!), but those places have crazy waits. We got a salad to share which was so fresh and then each got a pasta. My carbonara was so good and the iced coffee I ordered was nice and strong. Our server was kind and kept our waters full. I’ll be back soon!
Ive been to New York twice and also Osteria Morini twice. The place first came to myself and my wifes attention after watching one of Anthony Bourdains shows. It did not disappoint. Well priced, homely food. Make sure you try the meatballs!
Went here on an anniversary date. The ambiance was lively, but not crazy loud. Everything we ate was fantastic. The wine was delicious and the server knew answers to all the questions we asked. Would definitely return to Osteria Morini!
Probably one of the best pasta places in the city, however the service was n kind, not letting the baby stroller and asking some people to leave the coat with them and some taking them out to their coat service. The desserts are horrible, we had a chocolate cake that either was bad with extra baking soda or its just bad.
Fantastic fresh pasta. After 9pm every monday pastas are 12$. A great opportunity to go crazy.Took the ravioli the buttery sauce was delicious.
Excellent. I had the cauliflower gratin for app. I had the ricotta ravioli with brown butter and prosciutto. Very good. Will be back when in city again.
This place was pretty good but honestly I was a little disappointed. The deli meats were amazing. Both the wine recommendations and drink selection were top notch. One of the pastas was very good but the garganelli with cream sauce topped with white truffles left a lot to be desired. It was also a $60 pasta. You will definitely need a reservation. I should also say that the service we received was excellent. Its just this is New York City and unless the food is all WOW you cant get 5 stars.
Squid ink pasta was on the saltier side but cooked well. Surprisingly the cheese board was highlight.
This place is for pasta, never a let down however the proteins could be improved a bit.-Would pass on the lamb chopsOutdoor dining for covid is nice and overall a good spot.
Nice brunch, ordered build a board prosciutto, gorgonzola, and smoked trout, then capelletti and carbonara pizza. Nice service too.
Excellent service at this restaurant and they were very careful to follow COVID precautions (employees with masks, hand sanitizer readily available, plenty of outdoor seating). The pasta is homemade, fresh, and tastes amazing! I recommend the Fusilli and the Spaghetti and Meatballs.
Great pizza! Ingredients were fresh and tasty. Trofie pasta was very good as well.
The food is very good. I enjoyed my sea scallops immensely. The room is dark with an elegant casualness to it. The service was very slow and there were issues with our check which took over an hour to resolve. Would consider going back though since the food was great.
Came in for Morini Mondays when all pasta is $15.At $15, pasta was decent. Not super flavorful, but solid pasta noodle quality. The truffle pasta I had barely tasted of truffle at all. Not mad at it for $15 on a Monday night, but would be had I paid full price ($35), I would be disappointed.Service was friendly and quick. The atmosphere of the restaurant is cozy and laidback, like a good neighborhood spot.I’d consider coming again for Morini Mondays, but won’t return otherwise.
Amazing food! Great service! Especially recommend Pork shoulder pasta the Fusilli and Burrata appetizer
A good plan B if you’re in the area without a reservation and craving Italian. It’s way overpriced and the pasta is rolled a little too thin for my taste, but I’ve found myself back here for a few times over the years. Mostly because of the cheese and meat boards. Good, not mind blowing.
Very mediocre and had a “chainy” feel to it. The best part was going to Eileen’s for dessert across the street.
This restaurant is absolutely fabulous. I went for lunch but ambiance should be quite nicer for dinner. I ordered an amazing Cesar Salad. Better than my husband’s, which has been my favorite forever. Then I had the ricotta filled tortellinis with butter and truffle sauce. Really loved it! I plan to come back to NY for New Year’s Even and most definitely will bring my fam here.
This is amazing. I was there for a lunch with Chef Michael White. He was featuring food made with Balsamic Vinegar of Modena. From start to finsh everything was delicious. If you dig Italian food, this restaurant is so for you!
I had a delicious charcuterie/cheese and wine dinner here after hearing about it on the Anthony Bourdain Emilia Romagna episode. Definitely high quality and I appreciated all the accompaniments (strawberry jam, different spreads-I got a smoked fish one). A little pricey but I did end up getting leftovers from it.
Favorite spot in Soho💓. High quality food, hight quality drinks, high quality service, cozy atmosphere - it is such a gem for NYC 💓. It has become one of our favorite spot for anytime eating, snacking, and relaxing. When it’s just 2 of us, we love seating at the bar (in photograph) and have all food recommended because it never disappoints. 💓 It’s good for any occasion or any moment. 💓. Cheers 💓
4.5 stars. Great pasta (torcia, tagliatelle, pesto). Our appetizers (soft shell crab), entree (branzino) and dessert (affogato and chocolate hazelnut) were pretty good as well. Casual ambience and great service - would recommend if you are in Soho.
Food was great and service even better. James was the one who attended to us and made sure we had a great night. Will definitely come back! Thank you 😊
We had a reservation and was seated shortly after we checked in without any issue. Food was great and the service was impeccable!
Our larger group had an amazing holiday dinner last night! Everything we ordered we LOVED, especially the octopus, the pastas, and the steaks. Yum! Service was perfect, every member of staff was attentive with ease and kindness. A perfect celebratory dinner in a very special restaurant, we all can’t wait to bring other loved ones in soon!
Carbonara is the best!! Staffs are kind to children, we had great brunch time today, will be back for dinner
Completely blown away but this restaurant it lived up to the high expectations. We already scheduled another reservation to return to the restaurant. To start they brought us loads of bread, bruschetta, Parmesan cheese, etc. the entrees were great and the service was unmatched. The staff was all so welcoming and kind it felt like we were in Italy. 10/10
Great meal. Im sorry this place is now closed, but my waiter also overcharged me for the pasta, so theres that...
The food was very good. We had a board of meats and cheeses cut on the spot. The paste was fresh and yummy and the same for the meatballs. The service was not so friendly or nice. And the vibe is ok but dont go in for that.
Food was delicious especially the squid ink pasta! One of the best I have had!
On my many visits to Osteria Morini Ive always enjoyed the salads and starters, but where this place truly shines is the pastas. In a city blessed with phenomenal Italian aplenty, Morini easily fits at the upper end of the scale for quality.
We enjoyed a fantastic meal at Morini last night. The sauce on the Fussili pasta was delicious and the Branzino was perfectly cooked with crispy skin. Make sure to complete the meal with their tiramisu! Great atmosphere and kind staff. Shout out to Matt and Bennett who were especially nice. Can’t wait to come back for their Monday pasta specials!
The server was very helpful, informative, and invested in our service; they were fantastic. the food was very good and the entire group was happy and satisfied. one person said we have to come back and another said this was the best meal ive had in a while.
Absolutely delicious meals, simply incredible cuisine. All of the dishes we had were truly incredibly tasteful. Wether you are a passerby or a person living in New York you HAVE to try this restaurant.
Our reviews had over 52 million in the last 12 months. We do not get paid we just love to eat and have fun. We really love Osteria Morini. Great pasta. Get the corkscrew with cheese on it. Mozzarella app is a big WOW as well. Loved the desserts too. Great fun loud place. Very good if your looking for local Italian Check out all of our reviews and look at all the photos below. Used to love coming here for the Monday deal but the service is abhorrent. Host was busy chatting with the young ladies with a smile on his face but when we approached him he felt as if we’d interrupted his fun… did I mention he greeted us with a frown?
Very good food, lovely decor and great service.
Went for my brothers 20th birthday a few days ago and the staff, particularly our waitress whose name I dont fully remember but it was with an L, were so friendly and helpful. All the pastas were delicious, the desserts and bread too. Well definitely be back! Thank you to the manager who also came to our table at the end of the meal to help with clarifying the receipt. Great experience overall and you made my brothers 20th birthday special. Thank you. :) The tiramisu with a candle was amazing.
Perfect place for a family meal. No frills, no loud crowd, and amazing food. I think I genuinely had the best calamari ever along with a delicious artichoke app. Selection of wines was great, and the waitress (Vera?) recommended a wonderful bottle of Chianti Classico. Our waitress overheard that it was my mothers birthday and even though we had already gotten dessert, she brought out a fantastic vanilla cream and caramel dish. They were also very accommodating to my little brother, sometimes dining out with picky kids in the city can be a hassle but they were more than helpful.
Good service, great sitting and delicious food, all pasta are great, not salty at all.
Weve been here a couple of times, always impeccable. Highly recommend all the pastas, especially the gramigna and garganelli. And if you go during winter time the tortellini in brodo are a MUST. The salads are also very good, though overpriced imho. The eggs benedict are really nice as well, if you happen to go for brunch. I dont drink but my friends ordered the mulled wine and really enjoyed it. Great for celebrations but also for a chill lunch or brunch. The service is always great, super attentive and courteous. Highly recommend.
I’ve been coming here for over a decade and love sharing this spot with friends. The food is always so good. Typically get a charcuterie board, steak and 1-2 pasta dishes for 4 people. And of course a bottle or two of wine. The gelato parmigiana (spelling?) is so good. Whipped up spreadable cheese. Prosciutto is cut when you order.
Honestly the most amazing place! Took my boyfriend for his birthday great food, great staff and great Negroni!! We came back and it was packed and the hostess went out of her way to fit us right in! The entire restaurant feels like an Italian kitchen! Top 3 on our list
Excellent drinks and food. We started with burrata and a beet appetizer, worked our way through 3 pasta dishes (all excellent), and finished with 2 desserts, tiramisu and little fried doughnuts. Everything was wonderful.
Food was awesome. Our waiter was a bit rude to my friends. 6 people total. 4 people showed up on time and 2 of us came late because of traffic. Waiter gave us some guff for some reason.
Delicious fresh pasta. SO good. Highly recommend the burrata appetizer as well.
This place is amazing! I dined here on a Saturday night and the restaurant was not too packed, the music was great, food delicious, and service amazing! The beet salad, truffle ravioli, broccoli rabe, and kale pesto was absolutely amazing! I cannot recommend this place enough.
Came here for the half off pasta Monday deal and it was great! I love the fusilli we got! The texture of the noodles were just right and the sauce was very flavorful. We also got the squid ink one which was good too but not as good as the fusilli. Would definitely recommend coming here Mondays the deal was great!
Gorgeous Italian restaurant that serves great food! While I did see possibilities for large groups, the setup seems more inclined towards groups of 4 or less. Before 7 p.m., it was still a quiet ambiance. As the night went on, the restaurant became more lively and busy. Our server was great, citing the specials and giving recommendations. My friends and I ordered tortellini, fried artichoke, burrata, and chicken eggplant to share family style and finishing with a tiramisu. My personal favorites were the burrata and tiramisu! I might come back someday to try their cocktails at the bar.
Stumbled upon this place yesterday and had an incredible meal. I’m a connoisseur of Italian food in NYC and this place holds its own against my favorites. Highly highly recommended, can’t wait to go back.
Amazing food great service a great spot for date night in the city
We went for $15 pasta Monday and it was great. The servers are all efficient, attentive and knowledgeable. Good wine list and cocktails.
Osteria Morini is a cute restaurant, with interesting pasta dishes. If you expect to eat simple pasta or simple italian food, you should not go there as their dishes are quite unique. For instance this is in not regular mozzarella di Buffalo, or I ordered Raviolo with crab and it was just on big raviolo. It was delicious though. Although I expected multiple raviolis, but if you speak Italian you would probably understand the difference between Raviolo and Ravioli. If you want to experiment and eat good food, check the place out.
Came here with some friends to try and catch the Industry Pasta night, which they still have on Wednesdays from 4-6pm. Sadly, we didnt get to enjoy the discount since our waiter didnt know about the promotion and misinformed us that it had ended. Make sure you ask your waiter to double check with the manager if they refuse to honor the promotion. The pasta dishes were $27 each. However, they do make all their pastas fresh, in house, so I think its worth the price! We opted to sit outside since it was a nice day but honestly, I think sitting inside is a much better choice because the AC is strong, and the interior looks very classy and elegant. Perfect for a romantic date night, especially given the dim lighting. We ordered calamari for the table and it was so crispy and delicious! Portion size was fair and since it was happy hour, it was $12 instead of $17. Our waiters were very attentive and kept popping in to see if we needed anything. We took our time with the calamari since we were chatting, but our pastas were still served warm. I ordered the Cappelletti, a dish with cute little truffle cheese ravioli sitting in a butter sauce with prosciutto. I wish there was more prosciutto and it hadnt been cooked, but thats a minor detail. The ravioli were so soft and a dream to eat.The atmosphere and food here make for a great dinner. Their menu also has pizzas, meat dishes, and cheese plates which I will surely be back to try.
Pasta super good, sauce is on par with the best I’ve ever tasted. It’s a little pricey, but you get what you pay for. We were about 20 minutes late from our reservation time and they didn’t make it an issue, so I appreciated that.
Went here with a friend for a last minute dinner - sat at the bar and had great service from Brandon! We loved the food - even a simple salad tasted phenomenal! Great cheese plate and homemade crostini and pasta as well. Brandon was great recommending a wine as well. Highly recommend - great food, great service.
Amazing service, delicious food, 10/10 experience. Between Kaylie, Juan, Dennis, and our bartender, it was an excellent experience. Would absolutely come here again.
Had a great time at osteria morini. They have a good selection of pasta and wine and altered some of the menu items to make them vegetarian. Highly recommend some of the appetizers including the burrata and artichokes which were so delicious, which I liked even more than the mains to be honest.
Cappelletti was amazing but artichokes were very subpar. They do make a great martini though and service was wonderful
Went as a group of 4, got 4 pastas and a couple apps. The food was all pretty good but nothing was particularly mind blowing. Of the pastas my favorites were the pumpkin ravioli and the fusilli.Based on portion sizes of the savory dishes, we got 3 desserts which were absolutely massive. The tiramisu is good but not liquored enough. Loved the olive oil cake, and could’ve skipped the affogato. The place was quite lovely and cozy, very much like a restaurant that has been buzzy for a long time.
I was never a big fan of this place and always thought it was overrated. I got dragged to their Long Island location recently and was pleasantly surprised at how good it was so I thought I would give them another shot. Not much has changed here in the city. The waiter was trying to upsell us on everything and asked us three times if we wanted to order alcohol. The server was also oddly formal as if we just walked into Le Bernardin or something. The service is not super important to me but coming from the other location where they were laid back and friendly, it was noticeably worse. The burrata appetizer with strawberries was good and probably the only thing I would order again. I had the misfortune of coming during restaurant week. I got a Caprese salad for the first course which was mediocre at best. I just had some delicious heirloom tomatoes with my meal in Long Island but I would bet money that they didnt get these from the same place. With the exception of the burrata, which got this place their second star from me, all of the ingredients seemed worse than what we got in Long Island. The second course was an undercooked, chewy, and really small skirt steak on a bed of broccoli rabe which you couldnt even see under the steak. To accentuate the disappointment they made us wait forever and put the tiny steak on the largest plate they could find. The third course was gelato which was fine, the chocolate gelato was pretty good, the other two were unremarkable. I also tried the spaghetti which was unremarkable. This place isnt crazy expensive or anything but its not cheap either and for the price the ingredients should be much better than what they serve.
Food really tasty , really fresh and high quality, atmosphere really calm
My neighbors took me here for a lovely lunch today. The restaurant’s atmosphere is very friendly and everyone who works here is smiling. We were not rushed, but were attended to seamlessly. The food was fantastic. My pasta Bolognese portion was very large and could have easily fed two people (I wanted to eat the whole thing because it was so delicious but I had to stop)! My friends ordered other dishes that were equally delicious and well presented.Megan, the manager, came over and engaged us in a very fun chat about food in Italy and the good life. I will certainly be returning with other friends for both the food and the ambience. I recommend it highly
Came here today with the family for a very early dinner for my wife’s birthday. We visited the one in Miami and had wonderful food and experience, and we want to see if the NY location can offer the same. Glad we did because this meal did not disappoint. Let me share the highlights of my memorable culinary journey:First and foremost, the carbonara was a revelation. Creamy, rich, and perfectly balanced with just the right amount of freshly cracked black pepper. The pasta was cooked to perfection, and the combination of flavors left me speechless.Next up, the truffle ravioli. Oh, what a treat! The delicate, handmade pasta encased a luscious truffle-infused filling that melted in your mouth with every bite. Each ravioli was a burst of earthy goodness, and my 10 year old son ate the entire plate, savoring every morsel.Surprisingly, even the simple dish of spaghetti and meatballs was a standout. The meatballs were tender and seasoned to perfection, and the tomato sauce had a comforting homemade taste that reminded me of Italy. And lets not forget the grilled sea bass with artichoke Caponata. This dish showcased the chefs expertise in preparing seafood. The sea bass was grilled to perfection, resulting in a delicate flakiness that paired wonderfully with the tangy and savory artichoke Caponata. It was a symphony of flavors on my palate! The overall ambiance of the restaurant was warm and inviting, making it an ideal place to relax and enjoy a meal with loved ones or friends. The service was attentive, and the staff was knowledgeable about the menu, providing helpful recommendations and ensuring a delightful dining experience. To sum it up, this restaurant offers a delectable journey through Italian cuisine. Whether youre a pasta lover or a seafood enthusiast, theres something on the menu that will captivate your taste buds. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a remarkable dining experience filled with delicious food and impeccable service. I cant wait to return and explore more of their culinary delights!
Delicious and great environment for get together and getting the family together. Ample space and amazing service.
Food and drinks were excellent. The octopus and carbonara were highlights. The atmosphere was quite enjoyable as well!
Really delicious food! all of it was completely made from scratch. this really makes a different for pasta! the atmosphere is so nice and intimate! the service started out really amazing but as they got busier our waitress sort of forgot about us which was frustrating because we had somewhere else to be. we even had to ask a different waitress for our check. other than that we enjoyed our time! she even put a candle in the dessert for a birthday!
We were slightly frustrated for not finding the Nicoletta Pizzeria (which is now take-out only in the same restaurant) as we were craving pizza, but this place was pretty good in itself!Calamari, potato frites (?), unique cocktails, my squid ink pasta with shrimp ragu were all very delectable.Personally not a huge pasta fan, but this was worth it
WOW! This place lived up to the hype. I came with a group of friends and we had a huge appetite for Italian. We ordered so many items. Our favorites were the Fettucine Osteria, Linguine ll Congolese, Fried Oyster, Gelato, Myrtle Ave Cocktail, Gnocchi Al Pesto and the Chocolate Torino! The Fettuccine Osteria is made directly in front of you and really transported me back to my trip to Italy. I recommend this spot for large groups and also and intimate date dinner!
I still think about this dinner! We only get to New York about once a year, but this place is definitely on the list of places to visit
Absolutely delicious food. Our rigatoni was incredible, the pizza was wayyyy bigger than we expected, we had to take some home. Our server was amazing, very attentive and friendly even though they were busy. All of our questions were answered and our food came very quick. The cocktail sea wolf was fine, we enjoyed the glass of Sangiovese a little bit more. Overall this was a wonderful experience, looking forward to dining here again.
I would say this is the best stuffed pasta restaurant in the city. The tortellini in broth and lobster tortelli are both absolutely to die for. And served in an unpretentious atmosphere with great service.
A great little Italian spot, the food isn’t traditional but it is AMAZING. Prices are mediocre but Everything we tried had great flavor, not to mention the service was fast and friendly AND the ambiance is relaxing and low key. Highly recommend.
The food was superb. Not that terribly expensive for a five-star Michelin guide restaurant. Both chefs are handsome and extraordinary. Ones name is Barrett. The wait staff was beautiful sophisticated and elegant. Stick with the cocktails. You get a much better deal than dealing with the wines. I am very very picky. And I absolutely love and adore this place
Pretty good seems to sum it up well. Food was tasty but not overwhelmingly so. Wine list is interesting and pretty extensive, but the grapes are fairly unknown, which can make it difficult for most to pick out a wine. The atmosphere is nice and servers were mostly helpful. Not a bad option overall.
Sincerely the best Italian meal Ive ever eaten. Fantastic cocktails. The meatballs and the duck-stuffed pasta were my favorite. Plus the staff is superb and clearly enjoys their job. Ive never seen such a high-class restaurant that feels so casual before.
Tremendous Italian food, especially the pastas. Highly recommend.
They use La Colombe coffee and it is on point! Charges on refills. Cheese and meat plate was great and fresh!
Enjoyed some delicious apps and drinks at bar. Excellent staff.
Prices were way too high for the small portions of pasta. It cost over $200 for our family of four to walk away to a near by pizza place to eat again.
Although the atmosphere is dingy at first, its quite clean and quiet. The service was really excellent and the menu is fairly unique. The food itself was unbelievable and I will definitely be back. Disappointed I didnt try the oysters, but theyre pretty pricey compared to other local spots.
We recommended this restaurant to friends and this was their txt the next morning:“We went to Osteria and well… I think it has gone downhill since you were last there.. Food was good, wine was great…. XXX and I woke up with food poisoning in middle of the night. And don’t sit on the patio, we had rats running across our feet throughout the meal. “
I ordered a pizza from here and it took over an hour and a half to be delivered when it got here it was cold and soggy.
Terrific spot for authentic Italian dishes. Skip trying to get into the top spots and come here for fresh made pastas, secondi etc. Solid and well priced wine list and excellent cocktails as well. Still one of our favorites.
Nice dinner at the bar with friendly / helpful service. All freshly prepared seafood and house made pastas were well done. Never received any offer of bread? Desserts were flavorful, simple and refined. The pasta portions were small as I could have eaten two . . . increase the portions by at least 50% please!
Extrodinary tortellini in duck sauce - wow. Fun and delicious cocktails, excellent service.
Highly recommend! Food was amazing, service was great which seems hard to find these days. It is a more laid back vibe which made it feel cozy yet still nice enough for a fun date night out, 10/10!
Came here for a late lunch. The food is inoffensive but not memorable.$22 for lunch pasta is fine. I got the pasta with truffle butter, cream, radicchio and prosciutto. The radicchio was a bit of an odd addition, and there was barely a hint of truffles. The pasta itself was cooked well and had a good.Overall, not a bad choice but not entirely worth repeating.
Food was great and served quickly.
I forgot how good this place is, since i left NYC in 2013 and moved back to LA after a nine-year stint here. but i shouldnt be surprised, because this was a place started by michael white, who also was behind marea,in my mind, osteria morini is just a great example of modern italian cuisine, being innovative without being pretentious. the pastas have a nod to tradition but are different enough to have their own identity. i had the fusilli, and it was the perfect portion, with lots of flavor and great balance between the different ingredients.in the past i have had the steak for two (shared among the table) and that was perfectly cooked to medium rare, as requested.their romana salad (their take on a caesar) might have been one of the more impressive caesars i have ever had. instead of having large croutons, they had something that looked like large peppercorns but tasted like croutons (i guess those are the garlic breadcrumbs they reference in the menu).service was prompt but not obtrusive or rushed in any way.will definitely be back. i remember going to this place many years ago when i was still living in NYC, and the fact that it is still around tells you something. thats an accomplishment in NYC.
I wanted to like this place more than I did, based on personal recommendations. Our waiter ghosted us, which is annoying. Is there a dessert menu? I wouldnt know because nobody offered one. We enjoyed the food, but for these prices, the portions are too small, even for NYC.I tipped 20% bc the other staff were competent and I didnt want to be petty. I should have been petty. We wont be back.
Great food! Go immediately! The squash flowers with cheese were amazing. All four of us had pasta. Perfect portion size and perfectly cooked pasta. The sauce on all of them were amazing. There are reasonably priced wines on the menu. And, they have #lambrusco which I dont find too often. The service was good. Had a fun vibe. We didnt have reservations, and at 7 on a Friday, only had to wait about 10 minutes. The table was by the bar, but we really enjoyed it. The main part of the restaurant was crowded. They do take reservations and are on OpenTable, so I would suggest making a reservation. Happy eating!
I loved the charcuterie board and the pasta pomodoro was the best Id ever had. The steak was nice. But the chocolate dessert was superb. I highly recommend this restaurant. Just make a reservation!
Made reservations for lunch and the servers made sure our meal felt special. Great pasta, decent wine list, and olive oil lemon gelato for dessert. 5 star recommendation all the way. They take the meat and cheese plates very serious here, not the standard fare at all.
Pasta is always great here. One of my fav italian restaurants
We went last night for the first time. We loved it: the ambience, and the service, but above all the food, very tasty. The only negative aspect of it would be the size of the servings compared to their price. I dont mind paying for a good meal, but it becomes pricey if the amount of the serving is more towards the small size. Definitely, if you want to avoid the latter do not go for pasta. We had pasta and meat, I had to donate pieces of my breaded lamb chop.In summary, a repeat. We would go again.
Excellent waitstaff and service. incredible squid ink pasta. I love sitting at the bar and watching the desserts get created. beautiful space. clearly well managed. inviting atmosphere for a sophisticated but relaxed evening.
We used to go here every week (pre-kids) and were so excited to take our girls here tonight. Nothing disappointed us. The food (we got the tomahawk, truffle pasta, fusilli, meatballs and meat & cheese plate), service and outdoor setup was excellent. We cant wait to go back!
Fine pizza good pasta. No one does it quite like Osteria morning
1 antipasto, 1 dish of pasta 2 glasses of wine more than a $100... and it wasnt that good.
We went on a Monday without knowing it is $10 pasta night! We splurged and ordered three :) they were cooked just right (al dente) and you could definitely tell everything was made from scratch. I like that the dishes were not too heavy yet they were rich in flavor. The service was excellent.
Wonderful food, great ambiance and terrific/friendly service. Delicious rigatoni bolognese, salmon with lentils, and squid ink pasta. Would definitely recommend and look forward to going again!
Price above is for lunch with two glasses of wine and coffee. Lunch is $25 each for two course menu. The food was fabulous: short rib ravioli, special meat balls, wonderful porchetta and great unusual sliders. We had a delightful wait person and felt we had found a great place that we will return to. It was my birthday and my friend and I try all restaurants for lunch. This is our third Michael White. He is terrific.
Showed up at 4:45 on Sunday with the understanding that the dining room did not open until five. Fine we walk in party of four. Weve been there a few times before. I notice about half of the tables in the dining room are occupied. Told the young hostess party of four and she I can only sit you near the bar. I said what about the dining room I see you have already sat people there? She said those people are there from lunch and we cannot seat until 5. I said it opens in 15 minutes and you already have waitresses working those tables I see one right now at a table. She said no sorry bar only. The most ridiculous response having been in the restaurant business for over 30 years that a hostess could possibly say. Letting a party of four walk out the door is a lot of money I dont care how well your restaurant may or may not be doing. This hostess needs to be trained and the manager needs to be scolded for not training properly.
[Delivery] Food is good. Twice in a row they have forgotten half of my order and I had to call. Both times it took over an hour to get the second part delivered (despite being told it was ready in the kitchen when I called). Vastly not worth the hassle and frustration
Came here for brunch with a few friends. Service was absolutely impeccable. We all ordered pasta; I got the bolognese and it was good but not stellar. The pasta was the star, but the sauce fell a bit flat in taste.Would def go back to try another dish since it was generally a lovely visit.
One of the worst experinces!Friday night we sat at the bar and the service was bad and we couldn’t enjoy the dinner properly and we left the place totally annoyed.I ordered the Veal from the menu and when I confirmed what I would like to enjoy the server confirmed my order. 15 minutes later I received the Chicken. When I made my claim the server was upset and she picked up the plate claiming she confirmed I ordered the chicken. She was then caarrying on with the other staff saying it was my mistake vs hers. Also, and after all, we were waiting several minutes with the empty glass because they never refilled with the bottle of wine we ordered that was chilling at the fridge. We needed to ask twice to refill our glass of wine and they were walking around and not caring about the customer. We will never going back to this place and do not recommend dining at the bar.
Good food. Great service.
Tortellini en brodo was amazing. Carbonara was good (for America), not close to what I’ve had in Rome but still pretty good
IF you dont make a reservation, there may be a 30minute wait, but they have a decent sized bar for you to grab a drink at. Pasta was fresh and meat sauce (think pork) was very good. Id go back again.
Can’t say enough great things! Came in from Boston worried I wouldn’t be impressed with much here. From the service, Allegra our bartender!!, to the amazing fresh pastas and entrees and drinks! One of the best experiences I’ve had in a long time.EDIT FOR COVID TIMES! Amazing. Outdoor dining was perfect. So well taken care of… I can’t say enough good things. Thank you!!!
One of the best dining experiences we have ever had. The staff was fun, courteous, and educated us on the origins of the fare, which enriched our appreciation of the meal. The presentation was exceptional, and the food was delicious.
Went for brunch. Great coffee. Low light atmosphere. Highly recommended, but perhaps too highly for brunch. It wasnt busy, but very slow service. They were very kind though!
Went for a friends birthday and everything was amazing!!! food totally delivered. It is pricy but I think its Carbone quality without the big name.
Fresh made pasta every dayBrunch every weekend before 2:30
Peter Luger.. u got competition for dry aged tomahawk:))Ravioli truffles out of the world delicious... PLEASE TRY OCTOPUS!!!!u wont regret it like my friend who didnt try says he shouldve!!!! Only critique is place doesnt have ambiance it sort of stuffy but... the food is star!!!!!!!
Absolutely phenomenal! Started at the bar for happy hr which was great, then got sat on time for our reservation. Both the food and the service were all phenomenal. Would highly recommend!
Irresistible red sauce and delicious fresh pasta! Had a late dinner and my server was fantastic. Great vibe inside. Always loved the neighborhood, too.
One of my favorite pasta places in NY. Always get their squid ink pasta and they also have a good brunch menu.
This was our first time at osteria morini and it definitely wont be our last. Everything was incredible. Our server Fiona gave us amazing recommendation a for wine, appetizer, and dessert. The entire experience was relaxing and felt like were well taken care of.
Ok this place is nice and the food tastes great. But you must be aware that the size of the dish are so small that it is ridiculous. I had the caponetti (their best ) and I could count barely 10 raviolis in my plate . Go their only if you are looking for a very small bite. If youre hungry find another place.
No flavor at all🤦🏻♂️How can people come and eat here ?? It’s not authentic Italian food at all,The meatballs have no flavor the sauce has no flavored the meat is dry,,I feel they should stay doing there own food from there country with all respect!!! It’s like if you put Italians to do authentic Mexican food,,,it will never work..horrible food…
Used to be a fan of this place but I feel like they have gotten worse. Food was not as good as before. They dont bring you the bread unless you asked for it, and we got charged $8 for water when we got tap water. They corrected the bill after we pointed it out, and I believe it could be a simple mistake, but it was not a great experience. I regret taking my date here
Just amazing, lovey staff, and delicious food.
We had an awesome quick lunch after an afternoon of shopping. Super friendly staff and excellent food and cocktails.
This place is fabulous. It has an intimate, cozy atmosphere and the food is phenomenal Italian comfort (especially the pasta). Try the dirty martini on the cocktail list, it is infused with rosemary and its very refreshing.
Monday is Pasta Night after 9 pm. I am sure all the workers hate it but as a guest I love it. All of the pastas are 10 dollars and they are delicious. The only two that arent included are the lasagna and the risotto. The space is rustic but chic. Its cozy but still elegant enough to have a special night. The focaccia that comes at the beginning of the meal is fluffy and tender. You dont need any oil but remember to save some because you will want it to soak up every bite of sauce.
The portion size for my $20 entree was a joke. Like 5 bites. While the food was tasty, this was the only time I was so angry with a restaurant that I was tempted to chuck my plate at the kitchen. Never in my life had I been to an Italian restaurant, and had to ask for 3 baskets of bread in order to feel somewhat full.I wouldve been more understanding if the waitress warned me it would be small, or if this was obviously an uber fancy table-cloth place, but it looked very casual. If the portion was like 10x what it was, then Id re-consider my 1-star rating to 4 or 5 stars. (this was for some squid-ink pasta)
Wonderful traditional restaurant with genuine dishes. The charcuterie to begin was outstanding and then the homemade pasta was cooked perfectly. The ragu sauce was prepared the old fashioned way.A welcome change to the fake Italian NY scene
It was Amazing to see such a talented crew and staff serve an Exceptional meal. Quality of the dinner was executed perfectly Ive never seen the kitchen crew run food on a timely manner. Thank you for the Experience.. 👏
We started at the bar with a cocktail, I had the Quince Collins, it was delicious! So many ingredients, you have to commend the bartenders for their work.Ive eaten here 3 times before but I always forget what is the best way to work the menu...to go with the prix fixe menu or just pick & choose as we prefer! So we got the waiters advise which was to do 2 apps, 2 pastas, 1 main course & 2 Desserts & share! We shared the Fegatini duck liver mousse to start, it was divine! My BF likened it to ice cream lol! Then we had 2 pastas, STRACCI wide ribbon pasta, braised wild mushrooms, rosemary oil & TAGLIATELLE ragù antica, parmigiano. I just love their homemade pastas, it just melts in your mouth! The flavors were delish ! Our fave was the Stracci. The portion sizes are perfect too, any more would be too much. For main course, we shared a special of Lamb porterhouse chops, with pureed parsnip & a crisp swirl of sweet & regular potato. It was beautiful! Again, the portion sizes were perfect. For dessert, I had dark chocolate almond tart, cherries, marcona almondsvanilla gelato. I wasnt a fan of the dark chocolate exterior, the filling, cherries, almons & ice Cream was divine! my BF had the Tiramisu which he loved. The staff are fantastic! Its one of my fave restaurants in NYC.
First time, I have been to this restaurant. I was here to have dinner with my Manager and his Assistant. Love the vibe, great setting with lots of space. The service was excellent, the food and beverages was outstanding😁! Reasonable prices!
Main dish was average and desert was trash. Forgot a camera in my seat and half hour later is gone. The hostess was rude and did nothing to help
We had dinner on September 10th Saturday night. Excellent home made pasta dishes as well ad inventive main dishes. I had the special fish Orata with roasted corn and herbs. It was excellent. My husband had the Berkshire Roasted port which was very tasty. We shared a home made pasta dish. It as excellent. The pasta dishes are small so it is good to start as an appertiser.
Osteria has hands down the best pasta in New York. The capelleti is my favorite, but I would suggest trying the spring onion gnocchi while it is still on the menu this summer. They have a strong selection of Lambrusco and really awesome cocktails too.
I have mixed feelings about this restaurant. The food is mostly excellent, but the service is at times arrogant and dismissive. The ambience is laid back and rustic, but thats not reflected in staff attitude. We had an early reservation and were one of the first tables to be seated for dinner service. We were asked when sitting down whether we wanted to check our coats, and we declined. My husband was then told abruptly to put his light jacket on the bench next to me due to space constraints. Okkkk. We then watched diners at literally every table seated after us put their jackets over the chairs with no comment from the staff. In addition, service was at times cold and uninterested. The meatballs and lasagna were excellent, the brussel sprouts a bit bland and boiled tasting. If service attitude improves, this restaurant would merit 5 stars.
Chose that first rate spot last year to spend the last days with my son who was deploying to Syria . Returned to celebrate my sons return. From the Matredee to the assistant servers we were treated par excellence! And the food was nothing short of Gourmet. Been going there since it received rave reviews from First Look . Come to find out it was on Anthony Bourdains top 5 places to eat in NYC.
Really good food . A nyc must for Italian and the homemade mortadella is soGood .
One of the best Italian restaurants in NYC. Service is even better. We arrived late but they accommodated us and their outdoor dining was perfect, making us feel safe and warm in 40 degree weather.
Great wine list. Consistent dishes, as one would expect from Chef Michael White. Nice, low-key atmosphere (even if the tables are a bit to crammed).
I took my husband here for his birthday, originally wanting to try their aged steak. However, it turned out they did not have that aged-perfectly steak that day!!! So, we ended up trying their famous pasta dishes and were nonetheless more than impressed!I love everything Michael White owns so far from Marea to Nicoletta Pizzeria in East Village. Osteria is another less stuffy and more casual type Italian restaurants where they serve superb cold cuts, pastas and desserts. We started with the cheese and cold cuts as appetizer. The cheese and prosciutto are excellent. We also got the basic salad and that one was less than stellar. I guess I have high expectation for even a plain salad here! For entree though, I got the ragu parpadelle and my husband had their really good truffle ravioli. Both are amazing! The pasta are homemade and the sauce is intense and flavorful. For dessert, he got the espresso over ice cream and I had their tiramisu. Both are excellent and perfect to wash down our savory meals.I would love to come back to try their aged steak next time!
The pasta was amazing, but the dessert (especially the ice cream!!) was even better 🍨
Came for my 2 year anniversary. The food is amazing! Had duck, octopus & pasta to die for! Great service & atmosphere! Highly recommend 10/10
A must! Start with an Aperol Crush and Romana salad. Dont miss the Cappelletti and Fusilli (the ragu is to die for). Wonderful ambiance. Thank you to Zoe for the lovely service.
Amazing food, hidden gem for sure! Not the American Italian stuff, real Italian food.
Stopped in for a solo brunch after work. Sat at the bar. Food great. Service great. Cant wait to go back.
The food and bar were very good. The menu is creative. I really enjoyed their caceo e pepe salad and their meatball appetizer. Their lasagna was excellent and unique. The brussel sprouts were passable. The bartender did a great job with the cocktails.Other than the brussel sprouts, the only thing that wasnt 5 star was the attitude of some of the people who worked there. Nothing terribly wrong, but not quite the warm, welcoming service that gets me to give a 5 star review.I probably will go again, and I will recommend this restaurant. But not quite 5 stars.
Great take on the Italian Tavern by M. White and co. Straightforward flavors and combinations comprise a traditional menu infused with some fun personality. For the neighborhood, its a great choice on the higher-end of Italian and quite welcome above the tourist ridden, overpriced spots in Little Italy.
Amazing salad and pasta!!! Great service. Great drinks too.
Nice time. Food was good, pastas especially. Service was pleasant. Solid place for moderately upscale Italian. A nice refuge from the red sauce places not so far away.
Another Michael White restaurant which serves some delicious Italian fare. Went for their brunch with a groupon and the pasta and ravioli were out of this world.
This place is AMAZINGGGG!!! John was an excellent waiter and the food is delicious!! We had Burrata & Calamari for appetizers. Spaghetti & Meatballs and Gramigna for dinner. Soooo delicious!!!! Highly recommend!!
When business and family commitments allow me, I go to many new/happening/in-the-moment restaurants but my overall experience at this Michaels Whites downtown project was not remarkable. Needless to say about the food: good (but not great). Cons: noisy and long waits to get a table although I made a reservation a days before. Therere so many better Italian restaurants in city to dine...
This is my favorite restaurant in NYC. I try to get here at least twice each time I’m in the city. Cappelletti is my go-to dish, but every pasta and entree I’ve had here is incredible. Can’t wait to come back next month!
Came here on recommendation. The service is average. The space is too packed to accommodate guest. My chair was constantly bumped into from servers and staff. They couldn’t move us and they didn’t seem to care. Overcharged bill and it was just a nightmare. The food isn’t worth the service.
The servers were very nice and attentive. The main problem was the food. It comes in small portions and its overly salty.
Fantastic food.. Great vibe. My go to in NYC... always a comfortable spot for single diners.
I came here for brunch. It was during Covid and they only had outdoor seating at the time. It was on the street and thankfully the street had been shut down for pedestrians so it wasn’t very loud.I came here at about 11 in the morning and I would say that all the other restaurants were completely full. This place had no one there but people started to come in at about 1130.We were seated immediately and I tried the eggs Benedict with salmon and my friend tried the branzino. I would say the benedict was largely forgettable but the Bronzino was crispy and well prepared. The service was very quick as well and I would say the word stuff is really friendly and helps with placing your orders. A lot of stuff had to be brought from inside the restaurant though so we did have to wait quite a bit of time for her to bring condiments etc. Not a negative but it might make more sense for you to go in and get a bunch of stuff that you would like. The inside his rather dark unless you sit by the windows. But I do have a really full and large bar which would be lovely to sit in on the evenings. The space is mostly wooden and looks like an old-school Italian Varro restaurant.
Simply splendid! Try the squid ink pasta, and make sure to ask the wine director for suggestions on pairing with the dish, as well as your companion’s entrée. In fact, this was the apex of the meal, as the pasta was more on the tomato-based side, then the creamy side, as I’ve enjoyed at other establishments. Further, and my experiences with authentic Italian, the pasta is much thinner than what we had here. However, I would certainly suggest making this a destination spot, if you find yourself in Manhattan.
Everything here is impeccably prepared and perfectly delicious. Unlike a lot of Italian places, this place also has sublimely subtle desserts - their Panna Cotte is one of the best in the city (and I say that having visited Italy five times! :-)
Great pastas and fish. Service was very professional. Nice Italian wine list, though a little narrow. Nice for an early dinner, but things get out of hand later in the evenings.
Delicious pasta, very consistent quality. Been here a few times and I’m always pleasantly satisfied with the service and flavor of things. Always a reliable restaurant.
This is an incredible Italian restaurant. One of the very best in NYC. Everything was INCREDIBLE, especially the pastas. And the affogatto was the best we have ever had by far. You must go here!
Nice atmosphere and great food. Some of items were so fresh that you could see them sitting in the display case for you to see (such as the fish and beef). Nice wine selection as well.
Awesome meal in a busy location - we went when pasta is 1/2 price (after 8 on Monday’s, I believe). Excellent drink menu too.
Great pasta. We had a quick lunch and the place was great providing excellent service and food. If youre in the area, make sure to stop by and grab a quick lunch.
Delicious pastas and an accessible wine list in a vibrant room. Highly recommended.
Should be busier. This place is awesome.
Visited here for the first time. Service was fantastic and atmosphere very warming and cozy. We started with the parmesan whipped cheese and procuitto and salami. For dinner I ordered the ricotta short rib gnocchi and LOVED it. They make their pasta in house. Great cocktails. Very busy on the weekends.
Perfect upscale spot for a family dinner. Beautiful food, charming serverware and a simple but complete wine list. Dont miss the polenta, garganelli pasta and the meringue dessert.
One of my favorite restaurants. Service is great, food is amazing, and drinks are strong. I also love that the menu changes every so often.
Great food. Good ambiance. Excellent service. Realy enjoyed my meal which included spigola (sea bass), bistecca (ribeye) and gaganelli (pasta) plus sides. Everything was perfect. Thanks
Wow!!!! Morini always delivers. Everything was great. Dan the Manager was so friendly and took great care of us. Zoe was so nice.
Amazing food and service. Pasta came out extremely fast and was perfect!
