This is the only review you need:I was roaming around NYC solo trying to find a mid-range but cosy restaurant. I came across Panineria by chance and it’s the best mistake of my day.I ordered lentil soup (7/10) and goat cheese panini with caramelised onions (11/10) (hosts recommendation) and it completely exceeded my expectations. It was so crunchy on the outside, soft and creamy on the inside. It totally hit the spot and truly felt like a homemade dish.The service is amazing! The host is so thoughtful and observant and was quick to fill up my water bottle and pick up empty dishes.The ambience is authentic and down to earth, which creates a very intimate environment. I totally recommend it for solo travellers, students looking for low-budget meals, couples, really anyone who’s in the mood to slow down in the bustling city.I’ll sure be coming back here again :)

I love coming to Panineria for a quick and easy lunch. The staff is friendly, the service is fast, and the food is consistently tasty.For sandwiches, I always get the baguette (+$1) over the ciabatta. It’s thin, so you won’t be overstuffed by the bread. And it’s crispy, but but not the kind of crispy that will injure your mouth. I appreciate that they put a reasonable amount of meat, veg, and cheese in the sandwiches too. I am far more impressed by a balanced sandwich than a monstrous one.The lentil soup was earthy, hearty, and mild. Sharing a soup and sandwich between two people was the perfect amount of food.They used to have spray bottles of balsamic on the tables to spray on the sandwiches. I didn’t see them this visit and I hope they bring them back!

Tasty meal due to super fresh ingredients and careful preparation. Bread quality is very good. Great vegetarian options as well. Attentive and friendly waiting staff. Essential beers on tap and good wine available per glass and bottle. Worth a stop if in the area or coming from far.

Went here to try their sandwiches. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted warmly by the employees. They were so nice! He gave us recommendations since it was the first time going, and it didn’t disappoint! Highly recommend trying their different sandwich options and getting the fresh all natural lemonades.

This is food with passion and love. Theres nothing here you cannot enjoy. The bread is wildly impressive. On top of that, the very simple flavors are extraordinary and balanced. The price is something I dont care about but for $12 you can have some really good moments.

Had a very pleasant stop in to order a sandwich on my lunch break. Staff was super helpful, the shop was clean and cozy, and the vegetarian Capri sandwich I ordered was perfect. Loved how fresh all the ingredients tasted. Will be back to try more of their vegetation sandwiches!

Very quaint Italian sandwich shop with great vegetarian and vegan selections. Bread is fresh and light. Ingredients were also fresh. Service was friendly and warm. My cappuccino was delicious and the prices were soooo fair for NYC. My vegetarian sandwich was $11. Expensive sandwiches are $16. Delicious and healthy Lunch for under $20 with coffee? Yes please.

We got the napoli and chicken parmesan sandwich along with the soup of the day which was a lentil soup. All food items were delicious!!There are limited tables but we were able to find easy sitting on a sunday afternoon. The service was also incredible. Everyone was kind, helpful, and lovely. Would definitely recommend for a fast but yummy sandwich and soup.

Chicken parm sandwich doesn’t feel too heavy, the ciabatta is fluffy, and sauce is flavorful

I would give a 10 star if I could. The taste of the food was very simple, yet amazingly gooood!! So fresh and tasty. We got their meatballs, garlic bread, croissants, and pistachio coffee and all were great!!

I went for breakfast on a weekday. It is a cute little place but with amazing atmosphere, music, food and service. I went to try their sandwich. They had great variety of veggies and meats to make my own sandwich. I tried their Truffle cream, fontina, veggies on soft toasted bread and a pistachio cream bomboloni. Both were amazing. The sandwich had a great balance of mildly sweet, strong and fresh flavors. I was surprised by the bomboloni. It was so soft and the pistachio cream was just the right amount of sweet. Their music was great as well and they were really sweet. Highly recommend this place.

Awesome options for sandwiches and for make your own sandwiches! Also has pasta and others but the sandwich was delicious!

This Place is amazing! The atmosphere gives a rustic Italian, but still NYC -panini -shop-like vibe. Our favorites were the Parma Sandwich and the Chicken Parm sandwich. Would definitely recommend this place, a must try in NYC!

I will never visit this place again due to their principle of making fools of people in broad daylight. When I pointed out that the menu says a sandwich costs $13 and an arugula add-on is $2, making it $15 plus sales tax, but they charged me $16 plus sales tax at the register, they told me they didn’t have time to discuss it with me and said to either take it or leave it. This is rudeness and customer deception. It’s not about the $1 difference, it’s about the principle! They post one price but charge another!If you change the prices at the cash register, you must change the prices on the menu as well!Be vigilant at this establishment! I am attaching a photo as proof.

This is the perfect place to grab a quick bite! Im Vegetarian and they had plenty of good options! I loved the Sicili sandwich with artichokes! My non vegetarian friends also loved theirs

Such a cute spot that serves really delicious sandwiches. I got the peppe which is one of their more popular sandwiches, the ciabatta was crunchy and the ingredients were fresh. I am in love with the lemon garland decor on their ceiling, which adds a lovely touch to the small space. Will be coming back for more!

Excellent fresh toasted sandwiches! I got the Peppe and the fresh mozzarella and basil were absolutely delicious. The bread was toasty and soft at the same time. My fiance got the Buratta sandwich with ciabatta bread which was also really good. Perfect place for a GOOD and simple sandwich.

Had the mushroom soup (clear soup) and it was exactly what I needed! Served with garlic bread that’s so light and crunchy! The service here is amazing, everyone was so helpful and they look like they’re really enjoying themselves there, which makes us enjoy ourselves here even more!

Google maps my favorite, that’s how I found this spot. I gotta admit, I didn’t think it was going to be good but one bite and I was impressed. I did my own sandwich, and my own add on. You want an Italian sandwich come here. Next time I’ll try a pasta dish. Oh the picture is only half sandwich. The other half was already gone. The 2nd picture was added because during time I ate my sandwich the place had such influx of delivery people.

Just tried their newest special, the cannelloni pasta stuffed with ricotta, smoked cheese, sauteed mushrooms in a tomato bechamel sauce..an amazing size portion and absolutelydelicious. Highly recommend

Had a great time with the fam. The water was cold and fresh. Very welcoming atmosphere, reminded me of Italy in the 40s. Was disappointed that the suspended lemons were fake. I tried to eat one but now my mouth hurts. Lovely view of the river thames from the windowsill. Was sitting next to someone who believed in and supported the knockoff merchandise industry, so my experience was slightly unpleasant. My favorite part was that they were showing the King Kong movie on the wall. Meatballs were not perfectly spherical, but they did the trick.Amazing food overall. Free cannoli took a little long. Pleasantly surprised with the authentic Japanese nature of the overall experience

If you are looking for an authentic Italian sandwich (and pasta) place, look no further! The ingredients are fresh and delicious making the sandwiches super tasty. Panineria NYC is worth a stop! Our group each got a different panini and they all were perfectly toasted with such fresh ingredients. You can tell they make their mozzarella fresh in house! I got the truffle panini and highly recommend. Service was also amazing!

While you may not get an ultra-abundance of meat on your sandwich, the meat n’ cheese quality is nevertheless excellent at this understated sandwich shop in GV. I lean toward the Super Mario (lucky #13): mozz, mortadella, prosciutto, salami, & arugula on a toasty ciabatta, though you’re golden here no matter what you order.My favorite little novelty is the balsamic vinegar spritz bottle which is such an inventive and easy way to dress your sandwich!Warm service here as well! Solid spot for a sandy!

I got the porchetta with grilled onions, sundrieds, pesto, and smoked mozzarella on ciabatta. It was delicious!The peach lemonade is very sweet, almost like a soda without the bubbles.Youre in luck if Lena is your barista - shes very sweet. It was also lucky that theyre open on the 4th of July - most of the neighborhood is closed. I thought I was going to get it takeaway to eat in the park, but the air conditioning is too pleasant to pass up on a hot day.Its a bit pricey ($30 for sandwich and lemonade), but its massive. I dont usually take leftovers, but Im gonna save the second half of the sandwich for later. If you came with a friend, you could split one without leaving hungry.They give you a free cannolo if you leave a review (but I would have left one anyway - I marked it on my map as a place Ill come back to).

Delicious sandwich on roasted tomato focaccia. Out of all the places I’ve tried many Italian sandwiches in NY this trip and so far this is my favorite. Great outdoor seating, bruschetta, rose, and general vibe.The inside-outside structure is spacious and comfortable and the tapas are tasty. The sandwiches are world class and though it’s easy to walk by this quaint spot without noticing it, don’t make that mistake. You’ll miss a word class panini experience.

Great lunch spot!

I was visiting NY for a few days and came across this restaurant as I was walking around and getting hungry. The staff there greeted us immediately, gave us great recommendations, and were really great with answering our questions about the menu. I had their meatball sandwich which was one of the best Ive ever had! I had even saved half to eat on the train ride home. I will definitely return here on my next visit.

Got the diamanté sandwich with some spicy sauce add on and it was amazing. Their service was really good. Would definitely come back to try their other sandwiches

We stopped in before our NYU tour and were greeted & seated right away! The menu includes pasta, sandwiches, salads, and more! My daughter is a vegetarian and appreciated the vegetarian suggestions on the menu. The food came out quickly and was both fresh and delicious! We would come here again!

Did take out for the train, two cold Ciabatta sandwiches (so they stand up a bit better, as we werent eating them right away). Ordered the Chicken Del Vesuvio, and Cremona.The Cremona was pretty good, but the ratio of bread to meat/ fillings was off (too bready). Ciabatta buns were so-so - Id recommend getting it heated up as I suspect the hot sandwich would be much better. Chicken sandwich was okay.Overall for the price, Ive had much better and larger sandwiches in the area. Was a little disappointed given the high rating on Google.

I placed an order through their website and received the wrong item amongst pickup. For some reason their orders get rerouted through DoorDash. I called to notify them and was told I need to follow up with DoorDash. DoorDash then said I need to contact the vendor. I went in to rectify the situation and was refused a refund or my initial order. Their food is amazing but I’ll take my money elsewhere due to their poor customer service.

I ordered the Sicilia panini in ciabatta bread and it was a great veggie option. The place is beautiful and the staff is welcoming.

The server is exceptionally nice and kind. The cappuccino brought back memories of the coffee I had in Italy. Most importantly, the sandwich is an authentic Italian delight. Food is great and Ive been here a couple times now. My favorite is the meatbal on baguette but everything is solid. Me and my crew enjoy it. One of the best places in the area so far in my food journey lol.

On Friday, May 31st, 2024, I experienced extreme racial discrimination while picking up a catering order as a courier here. The owner/manager refused to allow me inside and withheld my order after a customer subjected me to public indecent exposure. When I voiced my concerns, he falsely accused me of threats and aggression. This incident constitutes racial discrimination.

I ordered the peppe and a white sangria. They use quality meats and ingredients and it was absolutely delicious! Added bonus, we needed something quick but wanted to rest our legs so the tables outside were wonderful and the food came out very quickly. Highly recommend!

Everything on the menu is outstanding but The truffle sandwich is out of the world.. we also ordered the meatball sandwich which was another hit and yes please have it with a coca cola and you are done for the day .P.S the portion sizes are generous.

Wife and I recently went to Italy and we were craving an authentic panini. This place did not disappoint, the food was excellent and so fresh. The staff was incredibly nice as well. Great deals on beer and wine, with a great coffee selection as well.

Their sandwiches are always so good! This time I got the fresh truffle with prosciutto and mozzarella sandwich, and tried their pastas for the first time. Their pastas are also amazing!! Great value for the quality!
