Salinas was a wonderful experience. Lisa took great care of us and made the night enjoyable. We tried several dishes, and everything was delicious, especially the octopus and skirt steak, which were real standouts. A solid spot for good food and great service!

Excellent experience but the tables are extra small! It doesnt get more uncomfortable than this if youre a party of four stuck into the cubby seats on the side as you enter the restaurant. The seats are upright and youve about 2 inches between your chest and the table (and Im not overweight).The food was very good though, delicate, delicious and a joy to eat. If it werent for the cramped quarters the rating here would be a 5.

It’s indulgent, creative, and an absolute must-try.* CRUDO: Faroe Island salmon tartare with borage cress, raw beets, red onions, and spicy sesame oil. Amazing! Amazing experience! Tapas were the best I’ve had. Our table tried most on the menu- the octopus, ceviche and croquettes stick out to me, but everything was outstanding. The drinks were fabulous as well. Our server, Israel, provided top-notch service and went above and beyond. At least five team members and the manager routinely checked on us. We even got a complimentary dessert!

We had an incredible time at the bar with Steven! He was the best and left a smile on our faces! Overall great food, drinks, super fun atmosphere. Will be back again! Thank you so much Salinas for a great experience.

We had a fabulous birthday dinner for my best girl Jordan. We had the whole tasting menu but my favorites were all the appetizers, grilled peppers, egg croquettes, potato’s with caviar, and salmon sashimi. For an entire I had the octopus. Every thing was delicious and gorgeous and they treated us so so well. 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Good restaurant for small groups, date night, solo dining or catching up with friends. The tables are quite small, so more than 4 people is a squeeze. The arugula salad, meat main, fish main were all delicious. Food is great. Skip the house wine, even during Happy Hour, its not great. Staff is friendly. Nice ambiance.

The service and food here were delicious. The pulpo (octopus was cooked to perfection). I had the seaweed vegan pasta and it was very tasty. Our server, Johnny was attentive. The atmosphere is great for date night. Will come back soon.

Amazing food! The dinner was one of the best I’ve had in a long time! We had few appetizers and main courses and they did not miss! My favorite was the salmon with baked potatoes and beef skewers. The desserts were also 10/10! For the drinks we ordered their signature ones and the mixologist did a great job, I loved the drinks so much! I’m definitely coming back again for the food, great service and amazing atmosphere.

I went to the bar area and the bartender Vivian was great! She suggested my food and drink and it didn’t disappoint! Will definitely be coming back to this restaurant and I highly recommend it!

Nice place. It was Clean. We sat in the Garden Room. Food was good but very expensive. I wasnt blown away.Our drinks were watered down (nothing New) . Just about every table was occupied, so they must be doing something right.

My friends and I had a great experience here. The service was really good, friendly and attentive. I love the Balearic sunset cocktail and the food was amazing, I highly recommend the eggplant, one of the best things I tried this year so far. Also, the ambient is really nice, with live music on the background but not too loud, so you can still enjoy the conversation with your friends. Will be back for sure.

Really good modern twist on Spanish cuisine. Everything was delicious, and we ordered literally everything (family style) . The croquettes and the fideos were two of our favorites. Shootout to Lisa who took care of us from A to Z.

Excellent atmosphere and delicious food but service falls short for the price point. I’ve been to Salinas twice now and both times encountered problems with the wait staff.The first time, our group of 4 lost our table since we were missing a member of our party and Salinas claims not to seat incomplete parties - this is understandable, but the problem was what happened after.We were added to the waitlist around 7:30pm after waiting 45 minutes to no avail, we noticed an open reservation for Salinas at 9pm and booked it. At 9pm, when we showed up for the table, the hostess informed us that the table wasn’t actually available and she wouldn’t seat us. As we stood at the hostess desk having this conversation, the final member of an incomplete party arrived to join their friends who had already been seated… as you can imagine, this moment was quite awkward and only then did the hostess change her tone and offer us a table.I went back a second time hoping that experience was a one-off. This time I brought my parents. The hostess was cold and short with us. We asked the servers to pace our meal and instead we got all of the dishes we ordered at the same time despite not having space on our table. My parents were still finishing their plates as the staff cleaned up the table around them.While the food is good, service felt unprofessional and rushed. This is not the place to go to sit and enjoy a dinner experience.If you’re going to eat here, I would recommend sitting at the bar for a quick meal and cocktail. The bar is very cute and aesthetic. The bosque cheesecake and eggplant tapas were fantastic.This place has a lot of promise but the short blonde haired hostess needs to be kinder and service should be less rushed.

Great vibe, great food, great sound system and fun and comfortable layout. We ate almost every single time on the small plates menu and not one item disappointed. Get the pitcher of Sangria

Delightful authentic Spanish find with a beautiful interior, menu, wine list and the garden seating area is just magical - had a reservation and we sat under the transparent roof listening to the rain while enjoying tapas all night. Will be back whenever we’re feeling up for deliciosa comida española! 💃🏾 ps. Be sure to try the NYC x Espana basque cheesecake - WOW!

Visiting from LA and had a great time here. Highly recommend for a date night. Intimate/cozy vibes, great service and the food was excellent. We ordered a sampling of tapas: my favorites were the Bravas with caviar, Crudo and Entraña steak. Drinks were also very good.Make reservations in advance!

My husband and I had such a great time here. Food, ambience and cocktails were awesome! The friendly bartender, Steven, really gave us a grate experience at the bar; if you’re there ask for him!

We walked up to some unsuspecting store front but after being walked down a long hallway We got sat outside in a beautiful open roof room. Got the brave potatoes with lumpfish caviar. Was outstanding. Got the octopus, was amazing as well. The Iberian ham was eh kind of tasteless but the quality was up there I think I might just not care for Iberian ham. The cocktails were excellent. Got the seafood rice which was on point. The service was very good as well the back waiter was on the ball and my captain was very knowledgeable about the drinks and menu items. The cheese cake was delicious and warm. The only negative things I could mention was some of the plating was a little lazy, sauce on the rims water spots on the plates that type of thing hardly worth mentioning. But my table was wobbly which was really annoying.However, I definitely recommend visiting this restaurant!

This place was a total vibe. We got a corner banquette in the back and it was great for people watching while dining. I had the grilled octopus, which was perfectly cooked and also tried my friends Bass that was so tasty. We shared the cauliflower rice for two, which was addictive as was the burnt cheesecake dessert. Will definitely be back for seconds!

Cocktails: Took the Sangria. Came with a big block of ice and 2 ounces of wine. Didn’t stay cold or had any fruity flavors. Big disappointment. Overpriced even by NY standardsFood: Bravas were average. Definitely not what you would get in Spain( I have been, I know). More like potato hash with sauce on topOctopus was tough and not easy to cut. It should be grilled just right to get the right texture.Croquettes were good.Overall 3 stars for food. Service was great!

Place and ambiance is amazing. Employees are also very welcoming and sweet! Would love to come again. The signature dish was amazing. I loved the croquetas and the fries are a must. The passion fruit margarita was also a must! :)

One of the worst services, we had a reservation done a week prior and they denied us seating. Very unsupportive staff and made us wait for 20 mins in the middle of very cold weather with our new born baby. Extremely disappointing and the staff should either be taught how to deal with guests or fired.

Excellent food, highly recommend. The skirt steak was insanely good - you got to try it! Order it with the patatas marinas and you will be in heaven. Also, Fabian and Jhonny (I think this was his name) were fantastic!!! I will definitely come back.

Salinas exceeded all my expectations! The food was simply divine, with each dish perfectly crafted and full of rich, authentic flavors. Very cozy place, with very good music! I went with my boyfriend, we sit on the bar and Olger was super kind and warm with us. I’m vegetarian and he helped me with the food and cocktails. Was really good, everything super tasty.

This is the second time that i have came to Salinas and it has been great. Both times i got John to serve us and he has been the best. He gave us a great experience and recommended some great food. If you ever come here, ask for John. If i could rate it higher, i definitely would.

Such a beautiful space with incredible food and service. We showed up 20 min early and sat at the bar till our table was ready. Had a great conversation with the bar tender who recommended some dishes for dinner. I had the rice paella which was great. Full of flavor and fresh seafood. Had the squid ink croquets which were so damn good and filling. It’s so hard to find any kind of squid ink dish. And the steak was the star of the night. One of the best steaks I ever had. Cooked to perfection with the perfect seasoning and slight char. The desert was great as well. Had the burnt cheesecake and it was a perfect cap to the dinner.Definitely coming back for that steak. And hopefully the garden room roof is open next time.

Ate there with my wife last night.Great service throughout and very tasty food. We were sat kerb side / outside but everything was really nice and service great irrespective.Food was delicious and a good selection of wine to accompany. On pricey side but in life... You get what you pay for!

Great dining experience at Salinas. Kind of shocked that its only a 4.3 Starred spot. Meanwhile the food is delicious, feels new and refreshing and is complimented by great service. We arrived a little early for a birthday meal and were accepted at the bar with no wait and got drinks almost immediately, no need to transfer bills to table. The first round of drinks (Balearic Sunset and Imitation of Life) were pretty good! and in 15 minutes or so we were brought to our table. The vibe is dim bar car on a midnight train. We sat in the beautiful atrium in the back perfect for a rainy night. We had Croquetas, Fried artchoke and beet plate which was amazing, some crispy potatoes and the European Sea Bass, which was some of the best fish I have ever tried. All in all a marvelous experience and would definitely go back!

Steven was the most incredible bartender ever!!! I was visiting from Miami and he truly gave us the 5 star experience! Dinner with my bestie. One of the best places I went with her. The place is small & cozy with dj playing. Food was amazing. We ordered so much. Octopus was delish. Drinks were amazing and the dessert was just mind blowing.

The food was better before the pandemic. Afterwards, it was fine, but nothing special. I stopped going when they instituted the 90 minute limit on reservations. Not the place to go to relax and enjoy a meal. (And by the way, I didnt want to stay for hours, but they were not subtle about hustling you out.).

Thee food here was delicious, and the service was excellent. I had someone check in on my wine at the right times. We had Fabian who was very nice and gave us great recommendations. Jonathan also came by and made sure everything. Was going well.

Went here for a work dinner with a group of 30 people and I have to say - the atmosphere, food and service was perfect. Sat in the garden room and loved the indoor outdoor feel (aka the AC). Whether you are having a group dinner or a dinner for two, you should definitely eat here!

I’m actually visiting from Atlanta and brought one of my friends along with me, the service was so amazing. The staff truly care about their customers and make sure they’re comfortable and having an amazing dining experience ,especially John. He was the best, would highly recommend :)

What a disappointment. The food was good but the whole experience was so unwelcoming and uncomfortable….from the security like check in desk to the wait for our table (despite reservation) to the unfriendly servers to the rushed experience and most of all to the hosts who kept roaming the dining space staring down diners and taking notes on their iPads! To top it off there were 3 managers who basically stood behind a glass window staring in at the diners to see if everyone was moving along at the proper speed! Like we were in an aquarium. Made us feel very uncomfortable and as if we were in a factory. Come in, eat, pay, leave. No sense of hospitality.

Unbelievable atmosphere, tapas are DELICIOUS, the bartender John is extremely friendly and his drinks are the best. I want to come back here and try the whole menu! Definitely a gem.

The worst experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant. We were one minute late for our reservation. Out of town visiting with our family and denied service at 10:11. I understand NYC is not kid friendly we made a late reservation to stay out of the way since we were bringing our children. Exceptions could have been made just an absolutely disgusting experience. Do not recommend in anyway.

Great experience! There were 4 of us to celebrate a birthday and the place is stunning. Its a great layout where they have small rooms with a few tables, a room with a bar and then also a back room with more seating. With the fresh flowers and the wonderful layout, this makes a great date night romantic dinner place.The cocktails were very good and the food was amazing. Such great options and creativity by the chef.The pulpo (octopus) was phenomenal and so were the sardines, oh they were so good!So were the branzino and the Iberico rice dish!Cant wait to go back!

This is a beautiful restaurant. The food is immaculate. My favorite is the bass along with the Japanese eggplant. The bartender Vivian is such a sweetheart. She has a lovely energy and accommodated me well Everytime. The waiter Irving is also very kind, he offered me free dessert which was fabulous. The texture of the cake was so good I must come back for it!

Was looking for a new place to eat and caught this one looked nice. Was sat down and got the chicken, it was amazing best sauce ever. The server Fabian was a great help had trouble with ordering with the qr code cane in and helped and was really helpful with everything, keep up the great work Johnny food was amazing 10/10

“What’s not to like here?” said the Michelin Guide back in 2017. I only discovered Salinatoday after living in Chelsea for over 3 years. I can’t believe I didn’t discover this place sooner. Food , cocktails. atmosphere and service all fantastic. Yes it’s a bit pricey but gosh was it worth it. Smoked salt cod on toast was fabulous, so was the bravas with caviar and beetroot with anchovies to name but a few. The basque cheesecake was a great finish. Thank you. We’ll be back very soon.

Super cute location in chelsea. Small venue but very cute. Went during the winter but during the summer the roof deck will open up. We enjoyed many different food options in tapas style including the shishitos, croquets, papas fritas, octopus, spaghetti, steak, and olive oil cake. Really enjoyed everything especially the octopus and the steak. Also had espresso martinis and vanilla martini. Service was amazing, very quick and very kind. Really enjoyed everything about this experience and one of my recent favorites in the city. Can’t recommend enough.

The service was impeccable, with the staff ensuring every detail of the evening was perfect. The food was delicious and flavorful, showcasing the best of Spanish cuisine. 10/10 cannot recommend this place enough. The food was incredible and the staff and vibe were perfect. Try the Octopus, stuffed mushrooms, Fish and Steak. All perfection.

So we tasted a lot from the menu. The best ones are the artichokes, cauliflower, the meat on the bone! The one that is 2.2 pounds and $150 for two people is great. The fish - we had sea bass is great as well. In general highly recommend this place. With the prices on the menu they can put a tablecloth on an ugly table…

Overall, the meal was disappointing. the hostesses and service were not friendly, and we felt rushed the whole meal- even though the dining room had plenty of open tables. our food was not staggered and came all a once... the waiter kept pushing us to order drinks, food, and etc. the jamón was covered in oil (not the oil from the jamón), and was not really jamón- which is a key part of a tapas experience. the croquetas and octopus were the best items we ordered, but everything else was not memorable (and at a v high price point). the cocktails were good- so it would be a good place to come for drinks and one tapa. it was also hard to enjoy tapas when you are being rushed. the garden room is really cozy and romantic, but we chose the sit in the dining room.

I looked up top Spanish restaurants in NYC and Salinas was high on the list. The 5 star reviews of this place are so true as the ambience, food and overall service was truly top notch. Our server Andrew was courteous, attentive, friendly, knowledgeable and wonderful which only added to our amazing experience. My wife and I celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary here and we will be back asap! Food was immense, the atmosphere was very romantic and refreshing, but the service itself was also very consistent. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking to celebrate or just eat and drink at a nice place!

Highly recommend this place. The interior is very luxury oriented and the food is delicious. Would have given 5 stars if the portion size was a bit bigger for price and if the server didn’t have a hard time explaining the restaurant’s concept to us. Still, a very good place

They canceled my reservation without notice, refused to address it. Even refused to make the manager available for a discussion. There are many choices in NYC, no need to deal with such poor customer service.

Salinas was a happy accident, after I got kicked out of Gin Bathtub next door. I traded a C+ crowd for an A crowd, including Tears for Fears, and Billy Idol (yes, both acts are still around) music producers. The crowd was approachable, chic, and well - dressed, but not pretentious. The food was amazing! How come Id never heard of this before, unlike my well - connected guest, who had? The service was on par with the food. $$$ - $$$$ out of $$$$$ The bathroom was clean. The establishment is handicable, and wheelchair friendly. Couldnt be happier - well maybe sitting by the fireplace. WARNING: 15 MINUTE HOLD TIME FOR A TABLE. Show up on minute 16, and youll be booted, so arrive on time!

This is one of the worst restaurants I’ve ever been to. The waitress was extremely rude and acted as if she were a CEO. We waited 30 minutes to be served, despite raising our hands around 20 times; they just ignored us. The food was below average, making me question the authenticity of the positive Google reviews. The cocktails were awful. To top it off, they don’t accept Apple Pay, so I had to wait in the restaurant while my partner went home to get a physical card.

I just want to thanks to Steve and his team. Such a great experience and host for our little vacation in the city. I can’t thank enough for his service and his attention. All love. From Miami. ♥️

Arrived four minutes past the reservation time. Young lady at the desk informed that we can wait and see if anything is available in the most arrogant and ridiculous way. Given the timing it was quite laughable and we left. Plenty of other options. Went to Bouqueria with great food and service. Not going back to Salinas.

Went to dinner at Salinas last week. Loved the vibe and the food, was initially fine with the $200 per person price tag because we were enjoying dinner, but when we were practically kicked out before even finishing our meal, I was appalled and shocked. I’ll never go back. Here’s what happened. We had an 8:30pm reservation for 3 of us. The restaurant closes at 10:30pm. Should have been plenty of time but that turned out to be wrong. We were seated around 8:45. It was our first time at the restaurant. We selected several tapas to share and figured we could always order more if we were still hungry. The server informed us that last call for food was at 9pm, a little early for a restaurant that closes at 10:30, but ok. So we ordered a few more without having received our first order yet. The food started to come out. It was creative and delicious. Then at 9:30pm the server told us that it was last call for dessert and drinks. Really?? We hadn’t yet received all of our dinner food but went ahead and ordered two desserts and another bottle of wine. Food and dessert continued to be dropped at our table until 10. At 10:15pm the restaurant turned off the music and turned up the lights. Then they started trying to clear plates of food from our table before we were finished with them. At 10:22 they turned the lights all the way on, dropped our check at the table and started vacuuming around the restaurant. We still were finishing up dessert and had half a bottle of wine left. We weren’t the only tables still eating. We hadn’t been lingering. We were eating and drinking at the pace we were served, and until 10:15 had been having a truly lovely experience. But who turns off the music, turns on the lights, and starts vacuuming if your customers are still eating?! I’m shocked that any proprietor would treat their customers this way, especially a place that charges high end prices (our bill came to over $600 with tip). This is not how a quality establishment operates. They’ve lost my business forever.

Everything about this experience was amazing. From the decor to the natural light in the dining room to the food, all of my senses are treated to classy-yet-casual dining evening.Among the introductory dishes which were all very tasty, I was drawn to the coliflor al yogurt. This yogurt was a highlighted accoutrement that I didnt know roasted cauliflower needed. It was a refreshingly unexpected surprise.The paella was what you wanted it to be. The rice alone captured all the flavors which almost made the clams, shrimp, and chicken seem extra...almost. Add the entraña to the other proteins to grant the evening a decisive victory.And just when you think it couldnt get any better, the desserts where outstanding! The torrija was anything but what I imagined bread pudding to be. The passion fruit carried me to the end with the marmalade (and a slight hint of mint) to stick the landing.The pastel de queso vasco lists with a simple description, but it was more than the words. This has to be the creamiest cheesecake I have ever had. The burning gave the dessert a slight crunch yet caramelized it just enough to peak the sweetness. When you order one of these, order two.This was my evening. Its a pin on the map whenever I am back in the city.

See me soon you will Olger. I’ve been here a handful of times and I’ve always had a warm welcome that’s the the front door team. I typically like a bar seat and thankfully the times I’ve been I’ve been lucky enough be tended by Olger. Great cocktails, cocktail recommendations, service and very easy to talk to. Great person overall, I will definitely be back. The ambiance of this place is great, i will definitely recommend Salinas to my friends and family.

Dear Salinas Staff, l went for the first time to this restaurant and l am giving a 5/5 for everything . Starting from the welcoming staff , the decor, atmosphere, everyone there was so attentive, also this place smell sooo good that l felt in love. I have to say thanks so much to Vivian she really was the one that made the experience extraordinary. She is amazing! Always with an smile, always finding the best way to please me without hesitation, always checking on me to make sure l was ok. I ordered food to go as well and also all was good . Everything she suggested was on point. I had the octopus, setas, hamburger,coliflower and the cheese cake dessert to die for. The food was tasty very delicious, drinks , dessert All good. The food at Salinas is incredibly delicious! I sat at the bar and enjoyed a super tasty Beso Del Sol cocktail, and Steven served me excellently. Dont miss out on their fantastic cheesecake, its absolutely yummy!

Service was excellent however the food was not. The dishes were interesting but not well executed with what appeared to be a lack of care on seasoning and temperature control. Thre decor is well done although it could use a refresh.

This is one of our favorite bars, where you can strike up a conversation with the friendly barmen. The food always amazing especially if you want a Tapas experience. I don’t think we have had everything that is on the menu and we will be back for the other plates, to enjoy the good wine, soulful music and stella service!

Came here for dinner Friday night. We ate in the garden room which I would highly recommend! We shared everything: patatas bravas, croquetas, chicken and the rice dish with vegetables. Everything was amazing, its hard to pick a favorite. The white sangria which was also delicious. The croquetas of the day were steak, spinach and blue cheese which was a unique combination that I hadn’t had before but might have been the best croquetas I’ve had and we almost always get the croquetas at a tapas restaurant. Our waiter was also very friendly! 10/10 would recommend!

The food was okay but it ain’t gonna save the whole bad experience, which started from the receptionist. We were 11 minutes late. She said the grace period was 10 and they already gave our table away. We were a bit surprised but one minute was still late, our bad. She said “maybe you can wait at the bar for a table”. We thought she’s just providing an option cause the bar seemed already overcrowded. So we said we can just wait here. She widened her eyes and stared at us. Then she said “I mean wait, at, the, bar” word by word. The rudeness of that face and tone were simply next level, not to mention we didn’t have anywhere to even stand around the bar.After 15 minutes awkwardly waiting in the corridor, they gave us a bar seat (we booked dining seat). We quickly grabbed a bite and got out of there before the crazy loud music burst our eardrums.Our bad for being one minute too late. But at the end of the day, we are the customers and we are paying for the meals. Please show the respect that your customers deserve.

My wife made a reservation for a special night and Salinas absolutely ruined the night. The staff gave away our garden reservation and offered us a noisy table at the bar. Absolute disrespect and complete disregard for their customers.

Waited outside for our full party to arrive. Went in 11 minutes after appointed time and the rather impolite woman behind a plexiglass shield (reason will be come apparent) said that because we were 11 minutes late the reservation wouldn’t be honored. Our bad I guess but I’ve never been to any place in NYC where it isn’t 15 min and they don’t at least try to sort it out. A lot must have transpired in those 60 seconds.

Excellent. Ambiance is not typical Spanish but it is very romantic. The food is exceptional. I sat at the bar and had the filetito with the Dido wine. Theres something to be said about a place whose bar menu is better than the main menu at other places. Tried it before deciding on where Id take my wife for Valentines day and this will be my choice. Definitely recommend. *Updating my review after Valentines day* This place did not disappoint. Definitely a must if you want to impress that special someone. The bartender remembered my face from the previous visit and was very accommodating. My wife enjoyed the food and was very happy that she got to dress up, as this place definitely attracts a more sophisticated crowd.

The back garden is one of the most beautifully ornate places Ive been: intricate floral arrangements and a skylight make for a very romantic dinner setting. Food was solid, but expensive enough that it missed the 5-star mark for me.

Steven gave me the best service I’ve had in NYC living here for over 2.5 years. He’s a great hostess and even better server. Some of the best octopus we’ve had in NYC, incredible cocktails, and an ambiance designed for the most incredible and intimate nights. Take your first date here. Order the octopus. Request Steven. Salinas is a nice spot with a cozy, romantic vibe. The front room, with its comfy booths and fireplace, is a great place to eat. The food was tasty, with some standout dishes like the Pulpo con cenizas, which had well-cooked octopus over black beans. The Bravas Marinas were good, but the caviar didnt quite fit the dish. Overall, its worth a visit for some unique Spanish tapas.

Incredible meal from start to finish. Delicious sangria with frozen sangria ice cubes so there’s no dilution. Octopus was to die for. The bread pudding at the end was phenomenal.

Good choice for tapas in Chelsea. A very intimate ambience, great for date nights. The food was interesting, tasted good but a little too much olive oil in every dish. Maybe that’s how it’s supposed to be but it definitely stood out for me. The place is a little on the expensive side. The service was friendly and warm.

This is a unique, exquisite place! The door makes it seem quite exclusive, the ambiance is every bit romantic, with imported roses, beautiful lighting and displays and comfortable, soft seating. That being said, there were plenty of groups of friends filing tables. The menu is small but extremely specialized and the food is interesting, surprising and delicious! Even the desserts are fantastic and mouth-watering! Definitely fare you would not easily found at other establishments. The wait staff is attentive with out being overbearing, and the colorful ties are a nice touch!If you need to impress someone or treat someone to an amazing night out, this is the place to go! I made a reservation for late on a Sunday night with OpenTable, we received a large corner table with a lovely view very close to our reservation time.

My arroz vasco was wonderful, but admittedly I am not a huge fan of parsley and did not realize it was going to be included. The manila clams were great. My partner and I love clams.Music was a bit loud but I have been known to have sensitive ears. The clang and crash of a dropped glass behind me was barely audible. While service was a bit slow, the dim candle light made for a amorous touch to the evening.

Salinas is located in the Chelsea area of Manhattan. Located just a few blocks from The Chelsea Market on 14th Street. Salinas is has an intimate setting. It is on the smaller scale & very cozy. I loved how the lights were very dim & overall dark. Salinas is popular for dinning alone, but they can surely accommodate a large party. The restroom only has one stall, so be prepared to wait if you are visiting on a high peak day /hour. There is fire place all the way in the back, so if you do not want to sweat your makeup off or have sweaty underarms, make sure to dress accordingly. However, the fireplace is a beautiful touch! So the food and Service at Salinas - I was at Salinas in Dec, the service was phenomenal & EVERYTHING on the food menu and in the photos was DELISH. My favorite food was the branzino. Every bit of this restaurant exudes confidence. The balanced flavors in the Pan Tumaca and Pulpa con Cenizas show the restraint and skill Chef Bollo brought from San Sebastian. The views from the garden are the perfect date night. What an outstanding meal and experience.

One of the best Spanish restaurants in NYC, especially if you want to celebrate something special. Don’t expect the typical tapas in a wooden dish, this is more sophisticated and you can tell the chef is from San Sebastián because the food is outstanding. We didn’t have a reservation but the hostess was very kind and invited us to go to the bar and grab a seat. She came to see us a few times just to check how we were doing and after 20mim they offered us a table which we politely rejected because we like the bar. There we had a great time thanks to Daniel, who was extremely nice and attentive and made the experience 100% enjoyable. We tried the croquettes, the artichokes and the pulpo which was deserving a Michelin Star on its own. For dessert try the cuajada with the patxaran gel and a glass of “crema de Orujo”. We will go back for sure to try their fresh fish and many other dishes in the lovely open patio they have at the back

A hidden Spanish gem. Romantic place with red roses and red sangria, dim light and warm wood, glamour vibe and jazzy music. The sangria - which comes with a wine ice cube - and the cocktails are solid. The food is delicious. Dont leave without trying the popcorn crusted octopus. The patatas bravas is a staple. And of course get the arroz (rice)!

Beautiful low key spot with a great ambiance. Very nice place for a romantic date. Seati g in the front of this resturant is very nice so you can get a indoor/outdoor feel but if seated in the rear its a much more romantic feel. They also have seating outdoor in the back of the restuarant. 👍

Excellent experience! Wonderful chuletón with vegetables sides and very enjoyable sangria. Fabian gave us a very warm and caring service as well as Vivian. We loved the atmosphere and the food’s quality is A+!!! We absolutely recommend the Salinas dining experience!
