Came here with a friend and got a glass of wine each and the cheese tasting board. The wine selection was not as big as I expected but it was good regardless. The cheese board had a decent selection however for the price, I thought the quantity was a bit small, especially for the sides like the fig jam. Overall decent place for wine, but pretty expensive given other places in NYC.

Such a fabulous French wine bar with good nosh. Their happy hour is divine, from 3pn-6pm, glasses for $10.

They don’t have the wine tasting flight I wanted, so I got a glass of something they suggest (tasted ok, nothing special). Then they accidentally charge me the price of a bottle instead of a glass. Ok atmosphere, but the wine selection was not as impressive as I thought.

Such a wonderful experience if you’re looking for a taste of authentic France. The Tarte Flambé has to be the BEST ones I’ve had yet and I’ve tasted two Michelin stars worth. The service is superb and in my opinion absolutely worth it. Sitting alone or dining in you won’t be disappointed. Super laid back yet absolutely fancy. My best of both worlds ! Thank you.

While the location is nice, the service is quite weird, a mix of unkindness and lack of knowledge in wines. They unfortunately look very scared by people that only wants to use their restroom (literally was asked at the very beginning “do you want the restroom or a wine?”)

I do not bother wasting my time writing a review unless the experience is disgusting. There was a cockroach running around our table and this waiter just nonchalantly tells us “this is new york, what’s the big deal about it?” Excuse me? Sanitary 101?

Good selection of wines with great service. I went super late on a Wednesday evening so wasnt as happening then.The server got us bread despite late hours as the kitchen was closed. The bread was very crispy and great as well.

Great service and super cute outdoor seating on Broadway while the street is closed off!I did not realize the they only have French wine, so bear that in mind while heading over there!Also great happy hour- $10 glasses of wine!

A shameless French waiter claimed they were out of every single bottle under $70 (they have more than 10 different bottles at that price point) on Friday night at around 8:30 pm. He added, You gotta come at 3 pm to get the cheap wine, but we will have them back tomorrow morning. How can you not have them on a Friday night but have them on a Saturday morning? Being in the restaurant industry myself, this type of service should not happen in a place supposed to be high-end.Additionally, on the first bottle ordered, this waiter lied to us concerning the price of the bottle. We were not sure if it was a misunderstanding but understood it wasn’t when we tried to order a second one.

I went to this place with a friend specifically for Beaujolais Nouveau, as it was advertised as a French bar celebrating this special wine.My friend arrived first and asked the waitress if they had Beaujolais Nouveau during happy hour. Instead of clarifying or offering a taste, the waitress simply brought her a glass without confirmation. When I arrived 10 minutes later, I asked about bottles, and this time, we received proper service with the bottle opened and tasted at the table.When I asked for food recommendations, the waitress suggested something but stopped at charcuterie and cheese boards, which we ordered from the regular menu. However, later on, we noticed a poster on the wall advertising special offers for Beaujolais Day. When I asked her about it, she said she “didn’t know” because “the owner put it up”, “I can’t change it now, you already ordered” - nobody asked her to change anything. There was no apology, just excuses. Another waitress chimed in, claiming it was a “miscommunication” and that they hadn’t been informed. It was only after I expressed how unacceptable this was that one of them reluctantly apologized - but only after being prompted.Both of us had asked about Beaujolais Day from the start, yet none of the staff mentioned the specials or seemed remotely informed about the event they were supposed to be hosting.If this bar is trying to channel the vibe of a French establishment, the awful service might fit the stereotype, but it’s definitely not the kind of authenticity worth holding onto.

Cool wine bar with good food

Best steak tartare Ive had. Great with a glass of wine and a charcuterie or pate. Awesome date restaurant or a treat yourself night alone. Ive been several times and not been disappointed.

Cute wine bar in a great location! The wine selection was vast but they were also out of a few wine options which wasn’t ideal.

Love the fine wine selection and the after hours pricesSometimes a pub is the right place to go after a concert at the Madison Square Garden. Other times a place such as Vin sur 20 is the better post-concert option. Often this place is packed but when I visited around midnight it was laid-back and peaceful. A good wine bar should always be able to surprise with a delightful wine that I have never heard of and Vin sur 20 does not disappoint. Thank goodness this nicely decorated place lacks the many TV screens showing sports, something so common in many bars.

Everything was excellent. The staff were professional. Helpful, fun and knowledgeable. Food and wine were awesome. We ate early so we had 1/2 price wine. Bonus. HIGHLY recommend. Was packed when we left.

Very nice place. A little piece of France in New York. The service was very good and our servers were attentive and fun. The best part is the location you get a great view of the Flatiron building and its perfect for people watching in a busy part of town.

Their wine selection was not as extensive as I wouldve liked, especially if youre only ordering a glass and not the bottle. We stopped by for drinks only after dinner. I was looking for a dessert wine, but they carry no sweet wines at all. I got a wine that was fine, but nothing to rave about.If you dont go during happy hour, the prices are a little high, but the glasses are big and the pour is heavy, so its ok. The location is great and they have lots of outdoor seating. We sat at the bar and had great service.

So disappointed. Full disclosure I am French. First out of the wine list they only have 20% of bottles in stock. Then we ordered overpriced frozen food.Paid 22usd for a quiche the size of the tea cup and a 2 days old bread. This is a Shame.

This used to be great place to go, great ambiance service and drinks. This no longer the case. We own a business and our office is across the street, we have been coming to this place often with the team for more than 5 years. The place used to be packed on Fridays, we noticed now is half empty. Today, after spending 500 $ bill, we experienced terrible service and racist attitude toward some members of our team. After inquiring about the offensive attitude and arguing about it we were asked to leave the bar and were physically intimidated with some ‘fake security’. Police even had to show up. Very disappointed after years of being a loyal customer. We won’t be back to this grey place, and so we do not recommend you to go either, there are plenty of other options in the neighborhood. Love the wine selection, all the waiters/waitresses are friendly, quick, and speak French which I really like (considering its a French restaurant/wine bar and all the wines are French). I ordered the escargots, they were well prepared and hot when they came out. I think the wine prices are very fair, and honestly a steal if you can catch happy hour. Ill definitely be back!

Tried to pull a fast one by not applying the happy hour discount to the order then ran off when called out. Then tried to get a tip on top of a mandatory 20% service fee. All Id say is check your bill very carefully here.

Food is not really good . The bread they served was like rock hard . It should not be hard to serve warm, fresh baguette. The ambiance is nice. Wine selections are a lot, but only France as expected.

The flight is way over priced. Not bad to enjoy a glass of a wine in quaint spot!

Excellent little wine bar with an extensive collection of French wines and some very knowledgeable staff to help you choose if unsure. Theres also some nice food to complement the wines - cheese, charcuterie, moules and so on, accompanied by good French bread.Will definitely go here again next time Im in NYC.

Comfortable setting, very nice wine list. In the French style, so expect French charcruterie, lots of French wine, and many helpful French employees. We spent 1.5 hours here on a random Wednesday afternoon during happy hour and had a perfectly lovely time.

Honestly wanted to like this place more! It had a great atmosphere and dollar oysters before 7. But the service wasnt great, it took us ten minutes to talk to the waiter at a nearly empty bar, and he couldnt hear/understand us at all. After he took our order he forgot to remove the menus or fill our waters. And when the check came, he forgot to apply happy hour prices to anything we ordered so we had to correct him.The oysters were really great for their price. But the cheese plate was unspectacular and sort of bland--the only stand out was the duck pate.I might go back, but its doubtful.

Went to location at PLAZA. The staff was cleaning dishes near the bar and this very offensive, highly allergenic smell wafted throughout the bar area. When I mentioned it to the VERY OBNOXIOUS bartender, a woman who worked on 1:17, she was not apologetic and extremely rude. Would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. Horrible. My eyes were swollen and the smell of cleaning fluid was palpable.The bartender gave gratuitous nods and just was not listening to our concerns. Totally oblivious to client service standards and, in my opinion, needs mentoring and should reassess. Horrible client service.DO NOT GO!!!

Avoid. Poor list and incredibly bad service. They didn’t have the wine we requested but instead of telling us they brought a second wine of the same producer and tried to charge us the price of the first wine which was double the price. When we called them out on it they were unbelievably rude to us and said “but we showed you the bottle”. Mind you it was a very dark wine bar late at night. Avoid.

We had the most lovely happy hour sitting at the little zinc bar watching folks pass by, drinking a delicious Malbec and, later, we enjoyed oysters, onion soup, and salade Nicoise. The service was excellent!

This place says it closes at 1am but we were just turned away because of last call….at 11:49pm. Something or someone is lying.

This business has the most lovely staff. I was served by Melanie on a busy Thursday afternoon. She made me feel so welcome and was so attentive, it made the experience all the better.

Went here last night and sat at the bar with a rotating group of friends. Service was not friendly - couldnt be bothered attitude. Didnt check on us. No suggestions to be had. We had to ask for water refills, additional drinks, and food. Very strange. On a positive note, the jalapeño bacon mac and cheese and escargot were delish. Oh... also we ultimately went somewhere else because we also were losing our voices yelling just to hear one another... this place is LOUD.

This is my favorite wine bar. Its great for a glass of wine. I recommend Escargot. If you dip a piece of baguette in that sauce...Its so good!!!

We went during happy hour but we noticed later (unfortunately) that they still charged us the full price. Also, a simple cheese/charcuterie board for 2 costs 66$. A bit overpriced even for NYC. Pity, coz the ambience is pretty sweet.

Me and my friend were at nomad location today Sunday July 28 from 9-10.30pm. While we were a big cockroach landed on my friend’s arm and keeps circling on the table. A young french waiter asked what happened and we told him there’s a cockroach. He said it’s ok it’ nyc and asked if we never seen one before. His attitude towards us was digusting. We also paid for the bill, not that we were not paying. He continued to fight and yelling at my friend even though his colleague Phillipe was asking him to stop but he did not. We’re super disappointed since we are regular customers. Super unprofessional and rude. I can’t believe this kind of person are allowed to work. I hope the management take this matter seriously.

Cute little wine bar and restaurant. They have an outdoor area that during summer must be lovely. Inside, the layout is cozy with multiple tables in two rows. Tables are small so not sure how this works for larger groups.Food was DELICIOUS! You have to try the Steak Sandwich. And they have a pretty decent list of wines that you can pick from. Ask for recommendations, they can guide you!

We ordered bottles of wine and some food. Then one of the waitresses took away my glass with the wine in it while I was talking to my friend because I looked sleepy. I was shocked and asked her why the glass was taken away. She replied that it was because I looked sleepy. This is a French bar and I was an only Asian among my friends and she took only my glass …. Then all my friends complained she could not take my glass that we paid … we paid for over $500 !! but the manager said that she did the right thing to do ……. Why why why ?? we paid the wine but I could not drink … is it the right thing to do ???

Had a wonderful time at Vin Sur Vingt. The bartender, Manu, went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful night and made sure we were well taken care of. The food and wine selection were fantastic!

Great selection of wine, extremely knowledgeable and helpful bartender. Smells the wine when opening. We ordered a glass of pinot and he didn’t like the smell and opened a new bottle instead of serving the open one and then poured a glass from the old bottle so we could smell the difference. Food selection also good. Cheese and meat platter was very good, only downside was the bread, it was not the best. Steak tartar was delicious, nice size serving and full of flavor.

Staff were very friendly and helped to seat us quickly despite how busy it was. Drinks are pricey, but the selection of wines is excellent.

Okay so there’s this waiter I think his name is Benjamin. Guys !! He is the smoothest, best, awesome one ever ! And I been in a lot of restaurants. Last thing i remember was thinking to my self “oh this glass is never empty and the wine is always cold” the guy kept the glass refilled and the food was coming slowly while we were entertained in the table conversation. I got to tasted a little bit of everything and I drank my wine, went home a lil tipsy. I loved it. The food is good. Fit out to be an olde world French wine bar complete with small tiled floors. There is a extensive list of predominantly french wines. Sadly this place is let down by the snooty and dull french bar man behind the front counter. He needs to find another job as you are bringing the mood down!

Very noisy. No. Ultra noisy experience. The wines and menus are are great, but the acoustic is appalling.

We hosted a private birthday party here, buying out the space for 3 hours and it was a blast. The ambiance, wine, food, and staff were all exceptional. Everyone was great to work with. The event itself was a amazing. All the guests enjoyed themselves, and we are so thankful.

Came here with a bunch of friends. Nice size group(5), I chose the place specifically to try some wines and have a good time, which we did.Service was bad. Our server had a major attitude problem and made us uncomfortable. Ppl in the group avoided ordering just bc she was that rude.(short girl with glasses). I really tried to be nice and turn it into a positive but she wouldnt budge. Shes nice to her colleagues though!Oh and she neglected to mention that gratuity is included. That was cool too. I have come to this place a few time as I work in the area. They offer amazing food and decent wine if you’re on a budget and the music is always on point. As a Store manger of a bridal salon in the area i have recommended this place to bridal party’s after appointment. Brides who just need to have a quick drink to think about before making a big decision ect. One evening I went in with a fiend and there was only space at the bar to sit so we did we ordered and a few minutes later a table became available. We asked if we could move to the table and the bartender said he had to check with the manager we said no problem. A few minutes later he came back and said we could not? I was very confused as to why? So I asked the manager myself (I did not get his name but he was a short bald Hispanic gentleman) he said those tables were for party’s 3 or more here’s where it gets weird. See the table to the left and the table to the right we’re only party’s of two when I explained that to him very rudely he said well you can’t sit their and rolled his eyes and walked away. As someone who works in hospitality I never tell a customer no with out reason. We immediately asked for the check and finished our wine and the table sat vacant for the next 20min I spent in this establishment. We took our business elsewhere and continued our night. Very sad that a place would jeopardize their reputation because of one manager on a power trip.

Perfect place to grab a glass of wine after work - great happy hour deal. Only downside is it gets really loud in there after 7p so it can be difficult to hear each other.

Service was great but food was super disappointing. Way overpriced. The $20 quiche is a joke (microscopic frozen quiche).Most wines were sold out ...For the price I spent, I could have gone to a nice restaurant instead of cheese, charcuterie and frozen quiche. Felt like a tourist trap.

Best experience provided by the gentleman in the front named Rome. He’s very knowledgeable with all his wine and cheese. He made both me and my girlfriend laugh. Kept checking on us to make sure we were good. Great conversation and good vibes all around. Would definitely recommend coming here. Will be coming back again !!!

Came here for the first time. Ordered the tuna tartare which was amazing. Kristen took care of our table and she was absolutely wonderful. Very professional and personable. Will definitely be back to see her.

Great choice of wines to enjoy BUT, the only non alcoholic choices are Coke or water. Missing a trick as a result, what about drivers?

Terrible service by the bartender who poured my wine, then moved to the opposite end of the bar & ignored me for the 40 minutes. The bar was only half full... I had wanted to order food l but was not able to since I only had an hour and a half to spare. I barely made it out in time even without ordering food & only having one glass of wine. The wine list is pretty comprehensive so they get a star for that. Only losing 3 for the service.

I was so looking forward trying this place. Okay wine, disappointing food, unfriendly staff. As a French born man, serving salami to customers instead of saucisson sec is praying on their ignorance. On top of this, the staff doesnt own this, and pushes on the customer the problem.I know we are not the only ones running into this issue, the staff gaslighted us, and still charged us even if we said no. This should make all of us wonder: how many ingredients are not what they are.Honestly, good luck to anyone eating there.

Disappointing. Went there for a glass of wine with a friend during happy hour. Place was crowded but that’s just NYC..we had one of the recommended wines for happy hour and was corked but we didn’t get it replaced. Tried another one that was supposed to be amazing but was absolutely average and ridiculously overpriced. Spent 40 dollars for two glasses of really lame wines. Not recommended!

A great find near 5th Avenue period popping and youll feel like you were in Paris. Fabulous selections of wine paired with cheese or some snack food. Wait staff is amazing youll never have a Empty Glass

Very romantic environment. The wine menu was kind of overwhelming because they offer something like 100 options. To make it even harder it was in french. It can be pricey. Overall it was a good experience especially because we got an unexpected 25% discount on the wine.

Not as intimate or cosy as you would like, bit a solid choice for a couple or a small group. Barman was not very knowledgeable on the wine and the place needs to have more than one. First wine we had felt like it had been opened a little long, but the 2nd was as expected. The place has a nice vibe thats why it gets 4 stars, will try again, hopefully it stays at 4 and doesnt drop to 3.

Wasnt super impressed, this place is cozy but extremely noisy from all the chatter. Might be quieter during the week, I was there on a Friday. The wine by the glass selection is fairly limited and was very disappointed by the only pinot noir they had on the menu.

We went to Vingt sur Vingt to meet some people we had not seen in seven years. First of all, the place was so noisy I literally could not hear or speak to the person two feet from me without yelling. This is a terrible place to meet friends and have a plesent conversation. And then the food was mostly not French, so my wife and I ordered a roast beef and a turkey club sandwich.It was then suggested that we also order tea, so I said sure, I mean, how much can a cup of tea cost? It turns out that it was $15 per cup, WITHOUT refills. We wound up paying $60 for two cups of tea and two refills! Outrageous even for NYC.And finally, lets talk about the bathroom. Only one male/female potty for restaurant with close to 200 people in it. Need I say more? I STRONGLY suggest that you avoid this place.
